Alyssa's POV:

So we had a small breakfast and we were back on the road, The weather was sunny and windy, I don't know If I will ever get a chance for a road trip again in future, so I am just gonna enjoy while it lasts,

Carlos was driving, we talked about several things but now we were quiet, I was enjoying the car ride and music, Shakira's "Empire" was on,

  as we pass through the fields on both side of the road, the magnificent view, the perfect song, completed the moment.

we were back in town some hours later, Mason went to drop Maddy, Stan went to drop J at his grandma's home and Carlos was dropping me off now,

"Call me after the talk okay with your father", he said to me with a mild smile, I nodded,

"Thank Carlos for an amazing time, I will", "No prob anytime Golden", He smiled, his little dimple popping on his right cheek, cute!,

"Bye Carlos", "Bye Golden", I walked towards my porch, I waved for the last time, he waved back, I got in and locked the door, I saw him getting in his car and droving off ,

I walked in the t.v lounge it was still 10:00, "Back from school" I almost jumped, I saw Daddy sitting on the couch, he stood up, his voice was so firm and cold, I gulped, he was not in his usual suits he was wearing casuals,  he looked tired too,

"Daddy you are back early", I said with a soft smile, "This is not my answer", he commanded coldly, my heart was beating fast,

"Um yes I was um", "Not in school maybe in your boy friend's bed", he said harshly, I stared at him eye to eye, he gave me a violent glare, I shrugged in his gaze,

"He is not my boy friend", I protested, I felt tears, I was always so misunderstood by him!!,

"Not a boyfriend huh stop lying I left you alone and this is how you repay me by playing with boys",

"Daddy please stop it!" I cried, I tried to run away but he tightly grabbed my arms, I was squirming in his grip, he was hurting me, I stared in his eyes,

"Listen to me Alyssa you are coming with me to San Francisco, I have booked two tickets, our flight is at 5:00 A.M start packing", I couldn't breathe, I can't just leave my friends like that,

I can't leave Carlos, I was shaking miserably, I don't want to go,

"Daddy what about my school?", I tried to reason with him, "Everything is prepared, I don't want to discuss about it further, start packing", he let go off my arms with a jerk, I almost stumbled,

I wiped my tears away, why is he taking me with him, he was staring at me, my head was down, "Sad about your boyfriend well to hell with him, you want a boy with a nice car, I will get you one I promise", he said to me while lifting my head up,

his stare was not hard any more, "I don't want a man with a car I want someone who will love me", I said to him softly,

"Go pack",was his cold reply, before heading back to his room, I went upstairs and closed the door behind me, my heart was aching, I felt like the world was ending, why do I always have to sacrifice my happiness,

"How will I tell them I am leaving", I fell on the bed,my tears were falling,  I am leaving them, how will I say it to Carlos, he won't let me go, I wiped my tears, I pondered again and again, Please God give me an idea, what should I do?,

  I hated my self, so pathetic, so weak, so useless, so easily pushed around, "I cant just say No to father, I love him I will never disobey him", I have to do it, I picked up my phone and dialed Maddy's number,

"Hey Alyssa", "Hey are you free in the evening", I asked, I was trying to conceal my sadness and tears, the mobile felt like I was holding a mountain in my hand,

"Yeah, don't tell me you are coming tonight!!!" she replied, her tone was filled with excitement, "Yeah I am" "SWEET MOM WILL BE SO EXCITED", she screamed, my tears were freely falling,

"Yeah me too", "Okay I have to inform her", "okay bye", "bye Alyssa", I slammed my phone on the bed in frustration,gripped my hair tightly, It felt like someone just stabbed me, Sorry Maddy I am a bitch! you will never forgive me after today,

I started my packing then I took a shower, my eyes were swollen, I did my makeup and wore a red simple long sleeved dress, it covered my kneecaps, I went downstairs, saw Daddy watching T.v, he was on his Laptop,

"Going some where Alyssa?", He asked without lifting his head, "Um yes Father I am going to Maddy's she is my best friend, I have to say good bye", I said to him softly,

"Don't be late Alys" I lifted my head up, he stiffened,he stopped calling me Alys when Mom died, after so many years he called me Alys I wanted to hug him but I stopped my self,we were near yet so far,

I smiled to myself and picked up my car keys,

I was driving now, I am just gonna meet her, I can't meet the boys and leave, I am not gonna tell her I am leaving or she won't let me go and she will tell Carlos, who will make this situation more messed up,  I can't meet him, I don't have the guts too, I am a coward I am just gonna run away with out telling them about anything,

Sorry guys I love you but I can't face you.
I parked my car and got out, I walked to her house, it was a beautiful house simple, elegant, I saw many flower pots around the porch,

maybe her mom is a plant lover, I stared at the view and took a picture of the house, I am gonna miss it, I slowly went forward, heaved a heavy sigh and knocked, the door flew open and I was crushed in a hug, it just knocked air out my body, I was caught off guard, then she let me go,

"Alyssa my you do have golden blazing eyes", she said, her green eyes piercing through my soul, I was speechless, she was so beautiful, I was lost in her beauty,

she was a goddess, no wonder Maddy is so beautiful, I smiled, "Mom Alyssa doesn't like bear hugs only Mason does, let her go", Maddy came forward and pulled me in, the house was lighted up, the furniture was really expensive, the paintings on the wall were breath taking I stopped in front of them,

there were so many, "My mom is an artist", Maddy said to me proudly, I was flabbergasted, I turned to her mum who was wearing a cream colored silk dress,

it was really long, she was looking so gorgeous, she was staring at me with the same expressions,

"will you two stop fangirling over each other", Maddy retorted while smirking, I was a little pink, she laughed,

"Alyssa you are such a darling", she commented, she fixed my hair, Aw how much I craved motherly love, she was holding my hands now, Maddy was so happy,

"Um I didn't know you were so beautiful Miss...", "Call me Diana",

"Um Diana you are also so young", she laughed, "I appreciate your compliments my love, you are a beauty your self", she said politely,

she went to the kitchen after our little introduction, I saw Maddy smiling,  "Um Maddy I wanted to talk to you about something", the bell rang, "wait", she smiled and left.

I heard voices, then the thing I was afraid of happened unexpectedly,

I saw them coming in, I was bear hugged again, "Alyssa surprise", I heard Laughter, he put me down, "What are you guys doing here?", I asked Mason, who was smiling brightly,

"Well Maddy told me you were coming so she invited us all, we wanted to surprise you and look you are too surprised", He said confidently. I smiled, Stan came forward and hugged me, I didn't stop him,

this is last time I am hugging them, he let go and pinched my cheeks, I laughed softly,

"Don't forget me", Jordan retorted, We hugged, "you are still here", "yeah I am, for three two days", his smile was a little too happy, then finally It was his turn, I looked his way, he was standing quietly observing me,

I gulped and went forward, he was resting against the wall, he came forward then opened his arms to engulf me in his safety,

I hugged him tightly, he placed his arms around me, my body felt completed in his as if it was made for him, I felt peace in his arm, I hugged him tighter, I could feel his heart beat,

I embraced his touch, his smell for the last time, I was controlling myself so much,

"Um you shouldn't have left her in the morning", I let him go, they all were smirking, I was so red again, "I am glad you all are here thank you Maddy", I said to them, I was gonna leave so much behind I am glad I got a chance to meet them before I leave forever,

"Aw you are welcome Alyssa anything for you", she smiled,

"Mason", "Diana", he walked towards her and lifted her up into a bear hug, we laughed at this beautiful moment, she was patting his back,

"Yes they love each other more than me", Maddy retorted while tapping her left foot, I hugged her from behind,

"Mason you are getting handsome day by day", "and you are getting gorgeous day by day Diana", she laughed and kissed his cheek, he was blushing, then she hugged Stan and Carlos, Jordan was quiet,

she smiled and hugged him too, "welcome to the family", he smiled wholeheartedly, we all were in the lounge laughing, goofing around, we watched football, well boys watched football, I was talking to Maddy,

"Alright all of you on the table", "Do you want us to lie on our backs or on our fronts", Mason joked, she slapped his arm, he side hugged her, they were like family,a perfect family,

"Alyssa don't you dare eat less I have an eye on everyone on this table, you too Jordan, they all know this rule", Diana ordered, I nodded in response,

"You don't have to worry about me", Jordan replied, he was really happy to see the food, "Good to know that Jordan", Carlos was sitting on my left, Maddy was sitting on my right, we were eating, "You are an amazing cook Diana", I said to her sincerely, the food was amazing, she smiled,

"why thank you love", she replied, I love it when she calls me love, I could feel Carlos's gaze at me many times but I ignored it, the dinner was done, all was settled, Maddy took me  to show her room,

"You didn't tell me you were also an artist", I said to her, I was astounded to see her work, she was so brilliant and talented, she was just casually walking here and there in her room, "It's just what I do when I am bored that's all",

"But you are so talented", "I think I inherited it from my mom", "You are blessed Maddy, your mom is amazing", "I know", she said calmly,

"I got something for you Maddy", she quickly diverted her green sparkles at me, she was excited,

"Well I made a book of collage of us together, its just not that special", I shifted my feet, she grabbed me and placed me on the bed,

"Show me,show me", I took it out from my bag and gave her, she almost snatched it, this girl is just mad, she opened it carefully, I watched her every move,

she one by one tilted the pages, she was so happy, she lifted her face up, her eyes were teary, she hugged me, "Thank you Alyssa",  "No, thank you Maddy for being my friend and giving me these amazing moments", we both were crying,

"what happened?", we saw the boys standing at the door, we wiped our tears away, they stepped in,

"Everything is fine Alyssa gifted me this amazing collage book", "Cool show me", Mason insisted, she passed him the book, they all flopped on the floor, they were so engrossed in the pictures,

I also had decorated it the portfolio, I am a pretty good Photographer as well, "This is so cool Alyssa", "Love the pictures",

"nice poses" "you are talented" "you should be a photographer" , I laughed at their compliments, Maddy stood up, we all stared at her,

"I was waiting for your b.day but what the hell", she exclaimed in pure excitement, she opened her closet and got a box out and gave it to me,

"open it", now everyone was gathered around me,  I was on the ground now sitting criss crossed, I opened it, I gasped, it was me, she drew me, boys were shocked, she smiled,

my face was perfectly plastered on the white page, my eyes were so beautifully sculpted, my hair was looking so beautiful, I was awestruck, I was completely amazed,

"Do you like it?", I stood up and bear hugged her, she was laughing and squeezing me with all her might, I was crying now, I don't deserve this much love,

"I love it, I love it so much", I let her go, we diverted our gaze to the boys they were so lost in the picture, "You are an artist babe", Mason smiled proudly, she bowed,

"This picture is amazing" Stan said, "I am speechless", J commented,

"This portrait is magnificent, the eyes are full of life, you are gifted Maddy, it's like you have carved out a real soul, This is just breath taking",we all were quiet,Our poetic bad boy was impressed, 

"thank you Carlos, I am glad you like it", "I love it",

"I will make one for you too", she smirked, "I have the original piece but it's a deal", he winked my way, Maddy laughed, I was just red yes that's the only thing I know how to do,

"I got something for you too guys", I said to them,

"Yes" Mason yelled, I gave them a book, "I made one for you too, I mean you all have to share", they ripped the gift wrap into shreds,

"behave" Maddy scolded, I laughed, they stared at the pictures, I watch their expressions, they were so happy, "cool",  "Man this is so freaking awesome", "check out the cars", "This is so epic", "damn man" they laughed, they all stood up and hugged me to death,

"Guys I cant breathe", they let me go, Mason patted my head, I laughed, "You even placed my pictures" J said smiling.

"well you are family too mate" Mason hugged him, we all were going down but I stopped Carlos for a reason,

others smirked while going down, "I have to give you something", "you already have Alyssa", we were sitting on the bed, he was staring at me, I gave him a photo and a small box, he smiled at the picture, I took it with him in the car, we both were so happy in it, he opened the box it had a chain in it,

he grinned widely. "I know its stupid", "No way it's not stupid I love it Alyssa thank you so much", he embraced me tightly,

"Thank you Carlos for everything" I whispered in his ear, my tears are betraying me again, I let them fall, I have cried too much today, They don't even know I am betraying them perfectly,

"Thank you for giving me a chance to make you happy Golden",he gazed with his starry eyes, I was so sad but I pretended to be happy, It was so hard, my phone vibrated, it was a message from Daddy,

"I have to go", I said to him, "Alright I wish you could stay more", "I wish that too",

"see you tomorrow Gold----" I cut him off with a kiss, he was shocked at first but then he took control, he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer, I was tightly clenching his neck,

I didn't wanted to leave him but I had to, our tongues danced together perfectly, I let him go after a while, I was breathing hard, my cheeks were flushed,

He was smiling boyishly, Idiot as if he won a battle, sorry Carlos you won this fight but you lost the war, I stood up and went downstairs,

  I knew he followed me, Now the real pain starts, I hugged them one by one, I bid farewell to Diana, she was amazing, now we were standing outside,

"Good bye Guys", I uttered, It was killing me, "Good bye Alyssa", Carlos was staring at me, he had opened my door for me, I kissed his cheek, I heard whistles,

"Good bye Carlos", "Goodbye Golden", I was being ripped apart alive, I don't know how I was still standing, I waved to them for the last time, I saw his face for the last time, his eyes, his smile I am gonna miss him, I got in my car, started the engine, drove off, I saw through the side mirror they were still standing, I cried, I turned on the radio, Adam's "Another lonely night was on",

I was crying, my tears were freely falling, I let myself go, I never felt this broken, I felt like a liar, I betrayed my friends, they think they will see me tomorrow but I won't be here, "I am sorry guys" I wiped my tears, it was raining, darkness everywhere, I was alone,

I parked my car and got out, I entered the house, "dinner is on the table" Dad spoke from the kitchen, "I already ate", I started walking to my room, "Have you packed", "Yes father", "we leave at 4:00 Alyssa",

"Alright father", I went to my room and locked it, I was backed against the door,crying for my pain,

I was in pain.. aching pain, I was hurt, I slipped down crying, my head was against the door, "I will miss you guys, please forgive me",  I was clenching the chain, my half of it, I kissed it,

"I wish I could tell you Carlos that I loved you so much", My heart was beating fast, I cried for hours,

I was looking at my pics that took of them and smiled brokenly, My fingers lingered on our group photo, I half chuckled when I remember Mason's "Bitch please", and the perfect picture was born,

I placed them back in my bag then checked my phone, I couldn't control myself I typed a message,

"Thank you and goodbye", to Carlos and hit send, I cried after it, I heard a buzz, shit! it was him,

"He had typed "goodbye???", I was scared oh no you stupid girl!, "Sorry it was for J", I wrote, "He sent me a smiley and texted Good night Alyssa" , I replied,

"Good night Carlos", I placed it back on the bed and stared at the clock it was 3:15, I picked up my red shirt and black rip jeans, went straight for a shower, I know it will be hard to survive this blow but I can do this,  you have been doing this your entire life,

I chucked at that, doing this freaking thing my entire life!,
I changed, this is the last time I am smiling for a while, "Good bye Carlos" I whispered, I heard his melodic voice "Good bye Golden" . I went out the room,  I went out this life forever.
