EARLY LIFE        Florence (also known as Flo) was born on the Nineteenth of August, 1976 in Ottery St. Catchpole, Devon, England to Caleb O'Malley, a renowned broom maker that could rival the likes of Cleansweeps and Nimbus'. He had one shop of his own in the Wizarding village of Hogsmeade, and he also sells his brooms in Broomstix in Diagon Alley. In his younger years, Caleb was obsessed with Quidditch, easily casting aside his schooling to learn more about broom making. Her mother, Eleanor, was a famed potioneer, who had worked with Damocles on a potion known today as the Wolfsbane potion. Eleanor is a strong advocate for werewolf rights, her own brother had been one before he was killed in the first Wizarding War.

Eleanor is their only child, and she grew up only a short walk away from the Weasley. Their parents had been great friends in Hogwarts, and they weasley clan was a second family to her. She was closest to Percy,  as opposite as they were, they had been inseperable since birth, the redhead only three days her senior.

They were often found in each others company, sitting in the garden or laughing in his room. Flo always claimed they had been twins in another life.

But with parents as extraordinary as hers, Florence was fiercely determined to become just as great as them— and with a broom maker and obsessed with Quidditch as a father, she practically grew up on a broom. And when she was old enough to understand, her father had sweeped her away to as many matches as he could.

Her mother was less happy with her quest to becoming the greatest Quidditch player to have ever lived—she found the wizarding sport quite frightful and feared for her daughter's safety. But she had grown up with lots of boys, and a bit of rough housing was not a strange feed for the girl. She had pratically breathed grass most of the summers she spend at the Burrow playing Quidditch or trying to set new records.

HOGWARTS ━ At eleven, Florence, alongside Percy ventured to Hogwarts for their first year. The Sorting hat had quite a difficult time sorting her, debating between Hufflepuff, her father's house, and Gryffindor. She had silently laughed when the hat hadn't even considered Ravenclaw, her mother's house.

She had been a hat stall, being sorted after seven minutes into the house of the mighty lions alongside her best friend. It is here she meets Oliver Wood af the welcoming Feast, the two easily bonding of their shared love of Quidditch.

As the years passed, Florence only became more bold and outspoken, some even considered the girl fearless. She would never tell anyone she was terrible frightened by clowns—only Percy knew about it. In her second year, both herself and Oliver tried out for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team when multiple players had left Hogwarts the previous year.

Charlie, the team captain, had immediately said he had never seen two people so obsessed on making the team. The duo left that evening as the newsest Chaser and Keeper.

While the team was great, it seemed they had been cursed each year, losing the cup to Slytherin far too often for their liking.

During her third year, Florence befriended Roger Davies, a second year Ravenclaw boy who she couldn't seem to shake after the boy came to her to practise Quidditch. She was hesitent to help the "enemy" but something about the boy made her actually very happy.

It was also as she and Roger grew closer, that Olive realised he had fancied her far more than he could have ever fanthomed. But Florence remained oblivious to his longing stares and red cheeks. Flo was far too busy training to win the quidditch cup instead of winning the heart of a boy.

During her fourth year, and Charlie's last, it seemed they would finally win the cup, but to her utter terror, Charlie had run off to Romania with Marie-Claire Rosier to work at a dragon reserve. No, no one had seen Florence O'Malley be so furious before. Once again they lost the cup.

Her Fifth year brought some luck, when young Harry Potter becomes their youngest member as an itty bitty first year—but his skills as a seeker were unparallel. However with Harry Potter, also came the Potter Curse as some liked to call it as by the end of the year the boy had landed himself in the Hospital Wing after defeating stuttering Professor Quirell who had carried He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named on the back of his head. She still got shivers thinking about it. But with another year lost to Slytherin, both Oliver and herself became more determined than before. Training harder over the Summer, and meeting up as often as possible, and making the team endure longer and harder practices upon return to Hogwarts.

But in her sixth year, the Potter Curse struck again when the Chamber of Secrets had been opened. It mostly seemed under control, and with Draco Malfoy as the Slytherin's newest seeker their chances seemed better than ever. But than two more victims had been petrified, and McGonagall had announced that Quidditch was cancelled. Florence and Oliver had never cursed that much in their lives, even McGonagall had seemed ready to join them if she didn't have her duties as professor.

She had only just one year left, but it would be one she would never forget. Professor Lupin had become the new DaDa professor, and he seemed to be actually capable of teaching them, despite his tired look and shabby clothes. After the first Full Moon and his disappearence, Florence was fairly certain the man was a werewolf.

But Flo had never been softspoken like her mother, and the way she confronted him about it might have given the poor man an heartattack. She should maybe have mentioned she didn't view werewolves as bad people before starting to annouce she knew his secret. After reassuring she didn't think any different about him, and actually admired his strenght, she started to wonder if he had used Wolfsbane potion, cleverly leaving out the fact her mother was one of the co-creators. He had mentioned not being able to afford it, society didn't held his kind in high regard and employment was no guarantee.

So with one letter to her mother, she made sure the man would not suffer more than he had to— an Eleanor kindly offered the man in a letter of her own to provide the potion for free.

Lupin had immediately known it had been Florence doing as he read the letter in the Great Hall and caught her blue eyed gaze. Only then did he connect her last name to the potion.

Quidditch season had been in full motion at that point, but with Draco Malfoy suddenly out of action, because of a hippogriff attack, they had to play against Hufflepuff instead—the rainy and thunderous weather rightfully awful. And the presence of the dementors guarding the castle was no help either, especially when they decided to attack Harry mid air. How they thought he was Sirius Black was beyond her.

With no broom, and the match lost to Hufflepuff, even Harry had seemed as miserable as Flo and Oliver.

There was still a chance to win, if they were lucky, and Harry certainly couldn't be without a broom, so after sneaking the Potter boy out of the castke thanks to the twins— florence had dragged the boy to her father's shop to hopefully make her father give one to Harry to borrow for the rest of the year.

After her father kindly agrees to gift a broom to the boy, Harry leaves her to join his friends in the village—and it is beside her father's shop she comes upon a large shaggy and thin dog. The thing looks half starved to dead, and without much else to do, she bring the black dog along with her to the three broomstick, even though it took awhile to get him to go anywhere with her in the first place.

Finding food had been easy enough, getting him to stop eating was a whole different story. He kept eating, and Florence kept going back and forth getting him more before she had to depart and go back to the castle.

A day later it had been revealed Harry had been gifted a firebolt by an unkown benefactor, and even Florence knew her father's broom weren't as good as those. It easily brought Oliver and herself in better spirits, especially when Hufflepuff had lost from Ravenclaw, giving them a real shot at winning again.

The final match against Slytherin was all that stood between them and the cup, and to her utter suprise, they finally broke the curse and won the cup.

Though, she just couldn't say she had expected Oliver to kiss her in the middle of the pitch

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE       Florence is a pretty girl with bright round shaped eyes and golden hair, but while she had seemed dainty, her personality made up for it easily. She lived with grassstains on her clothes and her hair a mess. Tan skin from being out in the sun and her body atheltic from the amount of training for quidditch. Her hair fell straight beyond her shoulders and her voice could carry on for miles if she wanted to.

PERSONALITY ━     Florence is outspoken, bold and courageous, making her a shoe in for Gryffindor, but her hard work and believe in fair play made it hard for the sorting hat to pick between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Her bold personality is well know in Hogwarts and she is determined as hell to achieve her goals. She loves to be with her friends, especially Percy, being his closest confident and supporter.
