WTF IS UP

honestly i'm not going to apologize because like, it's pointless and i don't have an excuse regarding updating except that senior year of high school is a busy year

im glad i updated though, i really do love this story and i eventually want to finish it

There was something all consuming about Josh, the way he talked, smiled, moved, touched, laughed. It was addicting and god, just the way he acted around Tyler made him blush. He mindlessly cherished all their little insignificant moments together because how couldn't he? Josh was on his mind most, if not all of the time at this point.

And he kind of hated it because it was unfair for a single person to have such an effect on him. He had more important things to focus on. School and basketball being the main ones. He really needed to stay on track with his goals and despite Josh being his teacher and despite Josh encouraging him in every possible way. It didn't really help because the moment Josh entered his mind, Tyler couldn't get him to leave, thus, distracting the hell out of him.

And the moment he was with Josh in person, it was like nothing else mattered. He just lost track of everything and Josh took over. It wasn't like Josh was trying to do anything either and it wasn't like Tyler wanted to lose focus on the rest of his life, but he kind of, sort of did at the same time.

Josh just made him feel so so safe. He just radiated this energy that made Tyler feel super tiny and want to curl up and just do absolutely nothing. Which was something they had yet to do but something Tyler definitely planned to make happen this weekend. He wanted to lay his head on Josh's lap and ask him to run his fingers through his hair. He just wanted affection and he was thinking about it more and more. And not only that but he wanted Josh to kiss him. Really badly, but currently, they were staying platonic.

He was terrified of all it. He'd never had a real relationship, which kind of put him at a disadvantage considering Josh had definitely had multiple relationships and had loads more experience.

Josh and him were in some type of relationship though, which made Tyler happy even though it couldn't exactly be labeled. He had barely even had any crushes since he started school and now he had this huge crush on a guy he definitely wasn't supposed to be crushing on. It wasn't love, they definitely weren't there yet, but feelings, there were definitely a lot of those, intense, loving feelings.

Another scary thought was trusting Josh to take care of him while he was in little space and take care of him while he wasn't. He did trust him but when he was in his headspace, sometimes he just stubbornly couldn't let go and relax and sometimes it just didn't work and stressed him out even more. He wanted this weekend with Josh to go perfectly, he wanted Josh to see him as a perfect little boy and he wanted Josh to send hundreds of praises his way.

He wanted to be really good. He'd make sure he would be. He wanted Josh to want to keep him and to keep taking care of him. Tyler never wanted this to end, despite this thing between them having barely started.

*

When Saturday came around he was anxious, already dwindling down into his little headspace as he packed a bag with his overnight clothes along with some of his little stuff in it. He kind of felt like crying and also kind of felt like calling Dallon so he could talk some sense into him and get him back to normal. His headspace was all over the place. He wasn't quite big but he also definitely wasn't tiny. He was right in between and it was all sorts of confusing.

There was a sense of excitement and a little bit of danger about the situation though, his 17 year old mind was pumped up on hormones, he was going to be spending the night at his (almost) boyfriend's house. Any other 17 year old would be expecting to have sex. The thought had definitely crossed his mind. Don't get him wrong. There was no way he hadn't thought of Josh like that. He was a teenager, and he was impossibly attracted to Josh.

But right now, he was more focused on how good it would feel to let Josh take care of him. He was going there so he could be tiny, not to coax Josh into doing anything sexual. He definitely wasn't ready for that. He hadn't even had his first kiss yet.

He was deep in thought and naturally, he jumped when he heard the floor creak by his doorway. "Tyler?" A soft voice came from the doorway, questioning and warm.

"Oh." He turned around quickly, hand to his chest, blush on his cheeks, his was mom standing in the doorway, a laundry basket in her arms. He sighed, turning back around to face his bed, carefully hiding his stuffed jim underneath a soft sweater in his bag. "You scared me."

Tyler was sure she was smiling. "Sorry sweetheart." He heard her step into his room. "Going to Brendon's?" She never seemed to wonder if he could be going anywhere else and Tyler felt very lucky in that moment that his mom trusted him.

Tyler hummed, as though it was an answer to her question. "In 20 minutes." He admitted. Which wasn't a complete lie. Fuck. His stomach was in knots, he'd be on the city bus on the way on the way Josh's in 20 minutes, he wasn't even dressed yet.

Naturally, his mom said the words he had desperately hoped she wouldn't. "Want a ride?"

"Oh um," He paused, zipping up his bag to grant himself a second to create a decent lie, he was unsure about how to turn her down. It would be suspicious if he said no, he never turned down a ride but if she dropped him off at Brendon's then he'd have to deal with Brendon asking him where he was going and that would be much more difficult than swerving around his mother's questions. "No." He said finally, a nervous little smile on his lips. "I'm walking over to Ashley's first, it's fine."

"You're sure?" She asked, a little uncertain.

"Yeah." He said, cringing around his words, god—he was a terrible liar, he was lucky his mother wasn't one to snoop. "Uh, thank you for the offer though."

"Of course." She said, coming to stand in his sight of vision. "I'm going out soon anyways. Your dad and I are going out for lunch."

"Like a date?" He chuckled, slightly uncomfortable at the thought of his mom with his dad.

She shrugged, lacking the normal enthusiasm he usually saw her with when she was going out. "I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah." He nodded. "I'm getting a ride back tomorrow night." Hopefully Josh wouldn't mind driving him.

His mom smiled. "Alright. I'll see you then. Love you." She pressed a kiss to his forehead.

Tyler smiled slightly. "Love you too."

He watched as she walked out the door and closed it the moment he heard the stairs creak at the end of the hallway. "Shit." He had 15 minutes.

Quickly, he stripped out of his pyjamas and pulled out the outfit he had set aside the day Josh had asked him to come over. It was nothing crazy, definitely nothing sexy, but it made him feel small and cute and he really liked how soft the mock-neck sweater felt against his skin. It was too big, firstly, the grey material of it went to his hips, but that's what made it cute, according to Ashley. Which he trusted to some extent.

He had never worn it to school, a bit embarrassed by it for some reason, but he had a feeling Josh would like it just as much as he did which is why he picked it out. He slid it on and then pulled on some black jeans. And that was it. From then on he rushed around his house, making sure he had everything he need. Pyjamas, an extra set of clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste (even though he planned to ask Josh if he could borrow his), colouring books, his jim stuffed animal and his softest blanket.

Once he saw his mom's car pull out of the driveway, he got downstairs. And pulled on his coat, anxiety roaming through his body. He felt so stupid for feeling this way, normally he wouldn't be anxious in a situation like this, but that little side of him was promptly taking over and he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. So he decided to text Josh before he left, just to remind him that this was really happening and that if he texted Josh, he'd respond.

i'm leaving my house right now :D
sent 12:47pm

He sent the text and then he was out the door, his backpack heavy on his back, and heart heavy in his chest. He felt a little bit sick but he knew he'd calm down eventually. This was just, kind of a big deal to him and a big step in their relationship considering they hadn't yet seen each other outside of school while being in this relationship.

The walk to the bus stop didn't help either, with his vulnerable state of mind, all the rushing cars and people were overwhelming him, which was partially why –mid walk– he stuck his earbuds in and turned the volume all the way up.

He left his phone in his pocket until he was sat on the bus where he had immediately rushed over to an empty row of seats, far away from everyone else. And then he had sort of curled in on himself, this definitely wasn't how he had wanted today to go but when he got to Josh's, he trusted everything would get better.

As a distraction, he ended up back on his phone.

Stay safe!
sent 12:51pm

Josh's last text made him feel all warm. He smiled slightly and texted back.

I'm on the busss
sent 1:10pm

The reply was nearly immediate.

How are you feeling?
sent 1:11pm

Tyler pressed his palm against his forehead and sighed. Talking to Josh would either make him feeling worse or better, or both. He wasn't exactly sure what the outcome would be. Obviously he wanted to talk to him but he also needed to focus on calming down. He texted him back.

i wanna be little like rn :( im feeling all anxious
sent 1:16pm

When you get here we can get all cuddled up on the couch if you want? I'll wrap us both up in some warm blankets and just hold you, maybe i'll put on some soft music too? We can just relax, calm you down, age you down a bit?
sent 1:16pm

Tyler breathed out, careful and slow. He really wanted that right now. He didn't even register that this wasn't something they'd done yet. The thought of cuddling up with Josh just seemed like such a natural thing to him.

ok. i like that a lot
sent 1:17pm

Do you want me to put Jim in the backyard before you get here? He can be a little overwhelming at first.
sent 1:18pm

um yeah, maybe just at first if that's okay wth you
sent 1:18pm

I've got it all handled sweetheart, it's all going to go just fine okay? You don't need to worry too much, it's just me. You see me and talk to me almost everyday.
sent 1:19pm

Tyler groaned and hid his face in his hands. Josh somehow knew exactly why he was anxious and panicking without have even properly talked to him today. It was slightly embarrassing that Josh could read him so easily, especially over text. Tyler hated him. Just a tiny bit.

is it weird to call you daddy over text? i'm feeling vry needy right now
sent 1:21pm

Already told you I'm comfortable with you calling me that, ty.
sent 1:21

thank you daddy
sent 1:21pm

Do you want me to call you ?
sent 1:21pm

Tyler would probably go completely little if he heard Josh's voice. Talking over the phone definitely wasn't a good option.

no it's ok, im listening to music
sent 1:22pm

If I made you a playlist would you listen to it?
sent 1:24pm

YES
sent 1:24pm

How long is your bus ride?

Forehead pressed against the window of the bus, Tyler focused on his breathing and his anxiety that was slowly turning into excitement because Josh was right. They talked everyday. He was already starting to feel better about the whole situation. He was still nervous, naturally, but he was feeling good and he was practically giddy when Josh texted him 10 minutes later with a link to a spotify playlist named for ty <3

*

Josh's neighbourhood was nice, quiet and kind of in the middle of nowhere, except not really. The houses were slightly spread out and mostly small and suburban. They weren't far from the city, at all, but Tyler got the impression that it was supposed to look like they were. It definitely wasn't a rich area, the houses were nice, sure, but they weren't anything fancy. And as he turned onto Josh's street he realized that most of the houses were just bungalows except for a select few.

He liked it though, the area somehow suited Josh and knowing that Josh lived here, and that Josh was really close by, made him feel safe somehow.

He had his google maps open, because there was no way he would've made it this far without it. His steps were small and quick and it was obvious that he had absolutely no idea where he was going by the way he was squinting at every house, trying to see if it was Josh's.

When he was about midway down the street, face still painted with some level of confusion he noticed someone on their porch and when he got a bit closer he noticed that person was Josh. Oh my god. He was actually doing this. Okay. The house wasn't huge but it was sort of cute for some reason, two stories tall with creamy grey siding wrapping around the house and dark wood for the porch. It was nice, modern.

Tyler paused and waved at him from afar. Not that he was particularly far away, but he wasn't super close.

"Hey!" Josh was smiling and waving at him from his porch a few feet away, of course, because when wasn't he smiling? Tyler blushed and smiled back as best he could before speeding up his walk a little, nervous to be seen going into Josh's house by ongoing strangers. Josh seemed completely unbothered and Tyler wanted to trust that Josh wouldn't be out here if he didn't think it was safe to greet Tyler on his porch, but for his own peace of mind, he just wanted to get inside.

Quickly, he got up the stairs of the porch and as overwhelmed he was, he felt completely safe the moment he was standing there in front of Josh. Josh who was wearing jeans and a hoodie, plus a beanie and his glasses to top it all off. Tyler was melting, just a bit.

"Hey," He breathed out, slightly out of breath as he made proper eye contact with Josh. He was wringing his hands around the straps of his backpack to calm his nerves.

"You look good," Josh grinned, quickly pulling him in for a quick hug, in Tyler's opinion it barely counted as a hug, his arm just went around just waist before Josh took a step back. "Come on, let's get inside." Josh said, his hand going to the small of Tyler's back, encouraging him to walk with him as he led him through the archway of the door.

Warmth immediately flooded him. He looked around a bit and then turned to the first wall by the door, there was a miroir on it. He looked cold, his nose pink and cheeks red. He pulled off his hat. "Um," He paused, Josh closed the front door. "Do I just take my shoes off here?"

"Yeah." Josh looked at him, an endearing smile on his face. "I can take your coat though, i'll put it away."

He nodded, slipping off his shoes. "What about my bag?" He crouched down and set them nicely on the rug.

Josh gestured out a hand. "I can take that too."

So Tyler pulled off his backpack, ready to hand it over, "Oh-" He faltered, Josh frowned, Tyler sent him a nervous smile and placed his bag on the ground. "Just wanna uh, grab something." He said quietly, unzipping his bag and shuffling through it as he searched for his stuffed animal. It was kind of embarrassing but when stood up, holding it to his chest, Josh had just the slightest look of awe on his face and Tyler could barely meet his eyes.

"You're so cute." Josh told him, a tiny smile on his lips. Tyler shook his head a bit, muttering a very quiet thank you. Josh grabbed his bag off of the floor and then Tyler handed him his coat with careful hands.

"I'll be right back." Josh gestured to the arched entrance of what looked to be a living room. "You can snoop around a bit." He grinned and then disappeared down the hallway.

Tyler nervously hid his hands in his sleeves and did as Josh had suggested when he heard footsteps going up stairs.

He slid into the living room, it was clean, and homey. The walls a dark kind of orange, and the furniture varying levels of dark browns. There were two huge bookcase on either side of the TV, and a big fuzzy rug on the floor that kind of made Tyler want to take his socks off and curl his toes. There was also a coffee table that seemed to have been pushed out of the way, leaving a large open space in the center of the room. Which Tyler admittedly thought was odd.

Tyler then moved to the couch, it was L shaped and was made out of some sort of pleather. He clutched his Jim stuffed animal to his chest and furrowed his brows when he saw it had a stack of pillows and blankets pushed in the corner of the L cushion. Really, there were a lot of them. A duvet, some thinner sheets, soft looking blankets along with a body pillow and a bunch of big decorative ones. Tyler could just imagine curling up in all of them, it made him feel tiny.

Josh came back a few seconds later, and Tyler would've been surprised had he not been staring at the doorway in anticipation. "Your house is nice." Tyler said, extremely aware that he had no idea what else to say, he was overwhelmed to say the least.

Leaning against the doorway, arms comfortably crossed, Josh smiled at him. "Thank you. I try, y'know, not to make it look like a mess. I'll show you around in a bit if you'd like."

"I'd like that." He admitted, tapping his fingers against the couch. "What's with all the pillows and stuff?" Tyler asked, resting his hand on top of one of the pillows. "I'm kind of feeling better now, no offence, like I still want to cuddle with you," He blushed, looking to the side slightly. "But also I kind of want to do something." He admitted.

"Then in that case, I figure we could start with making you a fort," Josh said warmly, adjusting his glasses before picking up a fuzzy pillow that looked like it could've been bought from Urban Outfitters. "Get you in a good headspace that way, and then go from there." He looked at him properly then and Tyler felt all weak on the inside.

In fact, he gaped a little bit, slightly speechless, because could Josh get anymore perfect? He wasn't necessarily surprised, considering that Josh had agreed that they should build a fort, but at the same time, he was kind of in awe about how much thought Josh seemed to have put into it his visit, despite him having only been here for a few minutes.

"Can I be honest?"

Josh nodded, his face sincere. "Is something wrong?"

"No," Tyler grinned, then faltered just slightly. "I've just-uh, never built a fort." He admitted, slightly embarrassed. What kind of kid had never once built a fort? It's  not like he hadn't had the chance either. Despite being an only child, he did have cousins, all of whom were younger than him and who'd definitely invited him to help them build a fort before. He had always said no, and now, he was kind of, abnormally excited about this.

"Well," Josh reached for him, eyes meeting his as they looked for permission to touch him. Tyler nodded, shyly, but he nodded, and Josh's hands were gently placed on his shoulders. "There's a first time for everything, were gonna do it together. It'll be fun. How's that sound baby boy?"

Tyler nodded and he could tell that Josh was trying to ease him down into little space by the way he was speaking to him, god, he was completely ready to just fall into his headspace like he'd been dying to do since he woke up. "I'm excited." He said, honestly. "What do we need?"

Josh, very much amused, let his hands fall from Tyler's shoulder to link up their hands instead. "First, we need to get a bunch of chairs. Want to help with that?"

"Um," Tyler looked around. He had no idea where any of the chairs were. He looked to Josh for help, luckily Josh caught on immediately. "How?"

"Just come with me." Josh said. "I'll show you." He kept Tyler's hand in his as he led him out of the room. In any other scenario, Tyler may have blushed and may have struggled to find something to say, they were holding hands, but instead he just felt himself getting all tiny because his hand felt so small in Josh's and Josh was kind of leading him around his house and for some reason, it was really ageing him down, so much he barely noticed it. He definitely wasn't a baby yet, much less feeling at his normal regressed age, but he certainty wasn't feeling 18 anymore and it felt, really good.

They ended up just down the hall, they passed by the kitchen but Tyler was so hyper focused he barely noticed where they were until Josh was holding this really tall bar stool he'd picked up from the kitchen and Tyler was standing in the doorway of an expensive looking office room. Of course, he didn't notice the expensive part, he certainly noticed the chair though.

"This is so cool." He said, eyeing the spinning chair. It was this dark black pleather thing with a high back and wheels. Tyler desperately wanted to spin around on it. "Can I um, sit?"

Josh nodded and Tyler scampered over to the big spinning chair and sat down, smiling nervously when he noticed Josh chuckling. "What?" He pouted, feeling all shy.

"Nothing, nothing." Josh held his hands up in his defence. "I just get the feeling that you really want to spin around on the chair."

Tyler brought his legs up, so he was sitting criss-cross apple sauce, he then placed his mini Jim in his lap. "Would you spin me?" He eyed Josh, pleadingly, easily letting himself ask. "Please," He added on.

"Mhm," Josh seemed to consider it. "Okay pumpkin. Hold on tight though okay? We don't want you falling off do we?" Josh stepped into the room properly.

"Nuh-uh." Tyler shook his head, and gripped the arm rests of the chair super tight.

Josh gripped the top of the chair and worked his arm around so it started spinning, he made sure it kept going and once some speed had picked up, Tyler was grinning so big it hurt.

"Woah!" Tyler laughed as he spun, round and round. Rebelling, he lifted one arm up, lifting his tiny Jim in the air. It was a little dizzying, naturally, but Tyler quickly looked past this fact because it was so fun! He couldn't really see Josh anymore because of the spinning but he could hear him chuckling and Tyler felt so safe and felt himself becoming even tinier.

"Fun?" Josh asked, amused when the chair had slowed significantly. He gripped an arm rest until it stopped completely. Tyler pouted.

"Again," Tyler said, Josh pursed his lips, Tyler grinned. "Please?"

Josh spun him again and Tyler kind of just caved. Pushing down most of his nerves, he let his headspace take over, that childish safe feeling coming to replace all the shitty things he was feeling before he got here. It didn't take him much to regress, and spinning around on a chair definitely regressed him by a large fraction.

"How about a ride back to living-room?" Josh asked, suggestively gripping the top of the chair to pull Tyler towards to hallway, the chair rolled easily on the hard wood floors and Tyler got excited all over again.

Tyler's mouth made an O shape. "Really?!" He exclaimed, excitedly sitting up properly as best he could. He'd definitely be stumbling if he tried to walk and that much was clear purely because he was struggling to even sit up straight.

"Yes really. Maybe i'll even give you some piggy backs around the house later, but right now do you want a ride on the chair?"

"Will it be fast?" Tyler asked curiously.

Josh shrugged. "That depends."

"Will you let go?"

"Of the chair?"

Tyler nodded, dramatically and he couldn't help but talk and talk and talk. He was surprising himself if he was being honest. Normally he was shy and he had fully expected himself to curl up and become non-verbal but right now, he was just excited to be small and he was excited to indulge into all these fun things that Josh was knowingly offering him. "Yes! The chair. Because I don't want you to let go, what if you let go and I falls and get hurt. I don't wanna get hurt because crying is lame and i really don't wanna cry Joshie."

The chair was pulled into the hallway fully now, Josh turned it so Tyler was facing him. "I promise i'll hold the chair." Josh held out his pinky, Tyler sunk deeper into his headspace, hooking their pinkies together.

"Kay."

So Josh ended up pushing the chair, with Tyler happily on it, down the long hallway, making Tyler laugh and smile all the way down until they reached the end and Tyler was sweetly asking if Josh would do it again, and then again and then, even after Josh had pushed him up and down the hallway four times, Tyler still asked but Josh distracted him by asking him if he still wanted a fort, which Tyler really really wanted. Which was how he ended up alone.

Tyler was left sitting on the living room floor, inspecting all the blankets and pillows while Josh got the rest of the chairs. He kept eyeing the spinning one, because yea he really wanted to spin around again but Josh had told him to pick stuff out for the fort! And that was so much more important because if he didn't choose his favourite things for it, it would suck.

Mind fuzzy and body content, Tyler made a pile of his favourite pillows, he took the one with the cute cats on it, and then the one covered in little plants and really, all the patterned ones. Josh had so many! Some of them had cool designs while others were boring, Tyler decided he would keep all the cool ones for himself and let Josh have the lame ones because Josh was the old one here and he probably didn't want fun pillows anyways.

Josh had two tall dining chairs under his arms when he came back, along with some clothing pins to help keep the blankets in place.

"Hi!" Tyler said from the floor, he was now lying down on his stomach, kicking his legs and Josh could tell that he was littler than he was previously. And Tyler most definitely was littler, everything seemed just a little bit to big for him and that moment, he wanted to let Josh make the fort but he always really wanted to help his daddy.

"Heavy?" Tyler pouted, pushing himself up so he was sat on his haunches.

Josh chuckled and placed the chairs properly, clearly sensing that Tyler didn't plan on helping with the heavy lifting. Not that Tyler could currently lift heavy chairs in the first place. "Not really. Definitely too heavy for little boys like you."

"I can be super big!" Tyler frowned, hugging Jim to his chest as he looked up at his daddy, who was placing the chairs in a type of square shape around him.

"Mhm, i'm sure you can be angel." Josh said humorously, he lifted an eyebrow at Tyler as he rolled the office chair over. "Since you're so big, do you want to help me get the blankets on top of the chairs."

Tyler stayed put for a moment before jumping up to his feet. "Yes."

30 minutes later after a lot of laughter and fooling around, they had a decent fort set up, Tyler had sort of helped, or at least helped as much as he knew how. The sheets were pulled tightly over the tops of the chairs, Josh had pinned them down just to make sure they wouldn't cave in as soon as they got comfortable in the fort. Tyler had gotten inside as soon as the first blanket had been thrown over and had left Josh to do the rest as he babbled about how cool it looked. Josh had to give him credit though, he'd ended up dragging in all the pillows and extra blankets inside with him.

It had turned out nice though, Josh had found a way to keep the fort from drooping down on them by attaching a part of the blanket to the ceiling. All in all, it was a solid fort, it wasn't even cramped and since it was against the couch, they had something comfortable to lean on.

Tyler was beyond comfortable, in his own little world as he arranged the inside of the fort, mischievously putting all the pillows he really liked on the side he was planning on curling up in.

"Baby boy?"

Tyler hummed, back to Josh as he moved the cat pillow over. "Daddy?" The word slipped out so easily and he was so deep in little space that he'd barely noticed it. Normally, he might've panicked a bit, there's something slightly embarrassing about calling someone daddy but, at the same time. This was something he'd wanted for a long time and as he was little, it just felt natural to him to call Josh his daddy.

Even Josh was slightly taken aback for a moment, the word seeming surreal, the whole situation seeming surreal to him. It was kind of a shock that Tyler was so comfortable with him, at his house and if Tyler wasn't feeling so little, he most definitely would have agreed. "Do you want a snack?"

"Can we eats in here?" Tyler turned around, crawling a little bit so he could face Josh, who was crouched down by the entrance of the fort. He had a laptop in his hands, which he placed on one of the pillows.

"Whatever you'd like pumpkin." Josh said easily.

Tyler flushed a little, Josh found it incredibly endearing. "M' hungry."

Josh chuckled. "I had a feeling. Do you want to come pick something out with me? Or,,, do you want to stay in here?"

"With you." Tyler answered immediately, reaching for Josh's hand. Josh helped him out of the fort, Tyler's limbs kind of awkward and loose as he let himself be pulled to his feet.

He immediately went to get closer to Josh and then looked up at Josh despite them nearly being the same height, it worked. There was a nervous expression painted across his face as he said the word. "Up?"

"Do you want me to carry you?" Josh asked knowingly, a smug little smile on his lips, Tyler was already clinging to his arm, so he figured he was starting to feel the need to get as close to him as possible. Which, he certainly didn't mind.

Tyler nodded. Josh smiled.

Tyler wanted his daddy to hold him like a baby and to his surprise, Josh did so without question, along with Tyler's help because, yes, he may be kind of a small guy but he was certainly not light, a lanky 5'11, 18 year old, can still manage to be rather heavy when being carried like a toddler.

Josh managed it just fine though, Tyler ended up being held on Josh's hip, face resting by his shoulder, arms thrown around his neck, legs around his waist. It was intimate, probably too intimate for a platonic relationship but Tyler was tiny and Josh, just didn't care. There was nothing forced about what they were doing, everything just seemed to happen so organically and that's what actually mattered.

Tyler grinned happily as Josh brought him to the kitchen and he nearly whined, when Josh set him down on a bar stool that was set beside the counter. "I know, I know." Josh had hushed him carefully and then tickled at his armpits to get him to smile again, which of course, worked like a charm because it tickled.

"Ok so here are the snack options," Josh said as he pulled out a variety muffins, strawberries and blackberries, apple slices and as per Tyler's request on Thursday, waffle crisp.

Tyler gasped. "Can I, have them?" He pointed at the muffins with one hand, and at the waffle crisp with another. "Please." He said, right after, award that he had to be polite.

"Yeah you can, but pick a fruit too." Josh said, Tyler frowned, Josh frowned right back. "C'mon little bee, apple slices or strawberries?"

"Berries." Tyler said, eyeing the waffle crisp Josh had poured into a small plastic container.

"And what do you say?" Josh asked as he passed him his snacks that had all been carefully laid out on a colourful plastic plate.

Tyler blinked for a moment before grinning. "Thanks you daddy."

Josh perked up at that. "You're very welcome."

"Can we go back to the castle?" Tyler asked, collecting his plate and water bottle in his hands.

Josh chuckled. "Castle?"

Tyler nodded endearingly, plopping a cut strawberry into his mouth childishly. "Mhm," He licked his finger and Josh grabbed some napkins and stashed them in his pocket, Tyler was probably going to be a messy eater.

"Alright, lets go back to the castle."

*

Tyler was in fact, a messy eater when he was regressed and Josh was glad he'd caught on to this fact when they'd been in the kitchen. He wasn't necessarily sloppy, but he let his hands get dirty. but other than that, he was very clean.

Josh ended up finally laying down in their fort after turning the lights off in the living room and bringing his old lava lamp into the fort with him for some level of lighting.

Tyler gave Josh 4 high fives once they'd finally gotten comfortable inside. Josh had accepted them without question and that had made Tyler super happy because his daddy didn't ask him why he did most things, he just accepted them and moved on. Which honestly helped keep him in his headspace longer.

Netflix was open too and Josh would scroll through the kids movies until he saw Tyler get excited over a movie cover or title. "This one?" He'd asked when Tyler had made a noise with his mouth full.

When he tried to talk, food still in his mouth. Josh had given him a look. "Chew first."

Guiltily, Tyler had finished chewing before saying. "That one, pleeeeeease."

*

They ended up cuddling. Tyler's legs were thrown over Josh's and his face was hidden against Josh's chest. It was comfortable and safe and neither of them were thinking about all the problems them being together would cause. It just wasn't even a thought at the moment, Tyler was all tiny and feeling safe because Josh was holding him and taking care of him exactly like he promised he would.

"Daddy," Tyler yawned, it was only about mid-afternoon but he was getting a little sleepy, he really didn't want to take a nap.

Josh squeezed his shoulder and whispered a quiet. "Yeah?"

"Where's Jim?" He murmured, his little face slightly concerned. "I wan' meet him."

"Outside." Josh said.

"But it's cold." Tyler pouted.

"Not for him." Josh smiled, and readjusted himself. Despite their fort being big, staying in the same position for over an hour tends to get just a little bit uncomfortable. Even though Tyler was extremely comfortable to cuddle up to.

"Can he be inside?" Tyler asked, hopefully. He really liked dogs and he really wanted to introduce his mini Jim to the real Jim.

Unable to say no, despite being worried that Tyler would be overwhelmed. Josh nodded. "Yeah." He shifted around, moving the laptop to the side, along with Tyler's dishes. "C'mon lets go get him."

Tyler grinned and grabbed his hand.
