Chapter 9

Vincent's POV:

The night started out smoothly. Though, Vincent thought of it as a 'night' it was more like morning. He yawned, he hadn't expected to be spending the whole night at Freddy's and he was growing tired.

There wasn't much movement. The new versions moved from room to room but only the new Bonnie went in the vents. Vincent was mainly concerned about the fact that he lost the kid. He wondered if that boy would tell everyone who he was... Maybe he'd have to go back into hiding after he escaped the pizzaria.

At last, after a good 30 minutes of doing absolutely nothing, the fox appeared in the hall followed by the new Freddy. The older versions still hadn't appeared yet.

Vincent then remembered why he loved working as the night guard before; the thrill of trying to survive the night. He had worked there for just over a week before quitting because the manager was growing suspicious of his weirdness. During his time working here, however, he managed to kill some children which was always fun.

After an hour Vincent sat with the monitor in his hands, pressing the button to wind the music box with a bored expression on his face. The banging of the vents made him look up and he saw the new version of Chica poking her head out at him. "Hey." He muttered in greeting and slipped on the old Freddy mask. It smelled terrible and Vincent hated putting it on, but it was either that or probably dying.

He chuckled.

Rain's POV:

Rain stuck close to Mangle as the 'night' started. She didn't understand the meaning of playing this game; why not just kill the night guars instead of dragging it out over lots of nights.

She tried asking Mangle but the fox just answered with: "It's a tradition."

Rain just rolled her eyes but didn't say anything.

Now, she was standing in the hall with Mangle. Foxy had stopped the flashlight from working so that Rain could get into place. Rain stood awkwardly at the side behind Mangle, who was hanging on the wall. Mangle seemed to be having trouble holding onto the wall, she couldn't hang like she used to now that she was fixed.

Mangle whispered, "Raise your hands up or something! Look scary!"

"What is this, trick or treating? This is stupid." Rain muttered but raised her arms anyway and narrowed her eyes to try and look intimidating.

Mangle chuckled just as the flashlight started working again and the blinding light shone down the hall. "How do you stay here with your eyes open?" Rain muttered, her eyes half closed to shield herself from the light.

"You get used to it."

"Whatever." Rain grumbled and stalked out of the hall when Vincent went back to the monitor. She padded through the shadows and towards the Prize Corner. Maybe Marionette would be in the mood for a chat.

Rain settled down in the darkness so that only her ice blue eyes glowed from the shadows and whispered, "Marionette?"

A muffled reply came from the large box where Marionette sat in, "Yes?"

"I'm bored."

"Why? Isn't this fun?" He sounded quite amazed.

Rain sighed, "My type of fun is very different to an animatronic's type of fun..."

Marionette shuffled inside the box and the lid lifted slightly so that Rain could see a bit his white head. "You're an animatronic too."

"Not as long as you guys though. In my mind, I'm still human." Rain whispered.

"Do you know why we do this?" Marionette asked softly.

"No... Mangle said it was just 'tradition.'"

Marionette peeked at the camera to see the red light was off and silently slipped out of the box and hid beside Rain. "Well, you know that we were murdered by Vincent right? When we were humans too. So from then on, we killed every night guard that ever worked here incase he was the murderer. Now we have found him... and we have the perfect plan for him."
