003. Hyung, let me take care of you (Yoonkook)
Yoongi accidentally burns his hand and Jungkook goes from being his maknae to his caretaker. It's cute!

The dorm kitchen smelled of spices and garlic as Yoongi stood at the stove, stirring a pan of sizzling vegetables. Cooking wasn’t something he did often, but every now and then, he liked to surprise the others with a homemade meal.
“Hyung, you sure you don’t need help?” Jungkook asked, leaning against the counter with a glass of water in hand.
Yoongi waved him off. “I’m fine. Just sit down and wait.”
But as Yoongi reached for the handle of a hot pan without a mitt, a sharp hiss escaped his lips.
“Ah! Damn it!” Yoongi jerked his hand back, shaking it instinctively.
Jungkook’s eyes widened. “Hyung! Did you just—let me see!”
“I’m fine, it’s nothing—” Yoongi started, but Jungkook was already grabbing his wrist, gently pulling his hand closer to inspect it.
“Hyung, this isn’t nothing,” Jungkook said, his voice firm. A red patch was already forming on Yoongi’s palm.
Yoongi tried to pull his hand away. “I’ve had worse. Don’t make a big deal out of it.”
“Sit,” Jungkook ordered, pointing to a chair at the kitchen table. His usual playful tone was replaced with an authoritative one that left no room for argument.
Yoongi blinked at him, momentarily stunned. “Alright, alright,” he muttered, sitting down.
Jungkook moved quickly, grabbing the first-aid kit from the cabinet. He rummaged through it with practiced ease, pulling out a tube of burn ointment, some gauze, and medical tape.
“You’ve done this before,” Yoongi remarked, watching him.
“Years of taking care of my hyungs when they overwork themselves,” Jungkook quipped, his tone light.
He took Yoongi’s hand, his touch surprisingly gentle as he ran cool water over the burn. Yoongi winced slightly but didn’t pull away.
“This is going to sting a little,” Jungkook warned, dabbing the area with a clean cloth before applying the ointment.
Yoongi hissed again, and Jungkook looked up, his eyes softening. “I’m sorry, hyung. Just a little more, okay?”
Yoongi nodded, his lips pressing into a thin line.
As Jungkook wrapped the gauze around his hand with careful precision, Yoongi watched him silently. The usual playful maknae was gone, replaced by someone calm, focused, and undeniably caring.
“There,” Jungkook said, tying the gauze securely. He looked up at Yoongi, his expression a mix of concern and satisfaction. “All done. But no more cooking for you tonight.”
Yoongi raised an eyebrow. “And who’s going to finish dinner?”
Jungkook grinned, his playful side returning. “Me, of course.”
Yoongi smirked. “Sounds good to me."
That night, as they all sat down for dinner, Yoongi glanced at his bandaged hand and then at Jungkook, who was busy dishing out rice for everyone.
Namjoon noticed and leaned over. “What’s with the look?”
Yoongi shook his head, a rare, genuine smile breaking through. “Nothing. Just proud of our maknae, that’s all.”
The end!
