⚡️TWO.

━━━brother dearest!

IT WOULD BE an understatement to say that Birdie Potter hated the Dursleys, her and Harry hadn't really spoken much...or at all, alone, but it didn't take a genius to figure out that they treated Harry poorly. Birdie also very vaguely remembered her mum cussing Petunia out. Birdie loved reminding herself of that moment, it was rare seeing her mother lose her cool, because it rarely happened, but watching Lily Evans cuss out Dumbledore and Petunia together was probably the highlight of Birdie's entire life.

Birdie glanced around at the now full table of Weasleys', she loved them, she truly did, with every fibre of her body, but they needed to hurry the fuck up as they'd told Harry they'd be there by five, but now it was around half past five, and they still hadn't started to be on their way. Call her impatient, but she wasn't sure the Doucheleys' were going to like their tardiness very much, what if they gave Harry shit about it later?

Fred and George looked like they were planning something, Arthur looked excited and Molly looked...concerned, well she kind of looked scared as she watched Fred and George whisper to each other under their breath, Ron was simply stuffing his face with the bread on the table as he waited. Lorelei seemed to be in her own little world as she stared out of the window with her walkman and earphones.

"Alright, then Weasleys, let's be on our way" Arthur said getting up and placing his hands on his hips as he stared at all the kids, Birdie got up instantly and then threw a peanut at Lorelei who turned around with a frown as she threw the peanut back at her with twice the force.

"Fred, George, maybe you two shouldn't..." Molly said as she passed the twins an unsure look, the two looked back at her with the most innocent expression they could muster, "Nevermind"

"Mr Weasley" Birdie said gaining the attention of everyone as they looked at her, "How exactly are we going to get there?"

"Through the floo network, of course" Mr Weasley beamed at her, Birdie stared back in confusion.

"But aren't they muggles...?" She asked him, she wasn't sure the worst kind of muggle family would have their fireplace connected to even the ministry much less the Weasleys.

"Ah, yes" Arthur said, "I got our fireplaces connected, just for the afternoon, of course"

Birdie nodded at him. She wasn't sure they would like that, but it would be worth it giving them a good scare - imagine the look on their faces as a bunch of 'freaks' emerge from green flames.

"Let's get going then" Molly passed everyone a smile and then motioned for them to get to the fireplace, "Arthur and I will go first, and then the rest of you can come"

Molly passed Birdie one last smile before she stepped into the fireplace, and said the address as the green flames consumed her entirely and in a flash, Molly wasn't there anymore, Arthur followed shortly after his wife. The twins gave each other a look and then Birdie looked at them alarmed. She immediately tried to rush to the fireplace, but the twins beat her to it.

"I should be the one going in first!" Birdie said as a pout made it's way on her face.

"Too late for that" George said with a snigger.

"Later, love" Fred winked and both of them disappeared shortly after yelling out the name clearly into the fire.

"Love?" Lorelei questioned, "Did I miss something?"

Birdie was about to answer when Ron stepped forward with a small and awkward smile taking a handful of floo powder and going there himself, Birdie had forgotten he was there for a moment. "No, he's just messing with me" Birdie waved Lorelei off who shrugged and then muttered a small 'if you say so'.

Birdie stepped into the fireplace, grabbing a fistful of sand like powder herself and said, "4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey" out loud and very clearly, she didn't exactly want to fall on her face as a greeting to Harry and the rest of the Dursleys. The green fire covered her and soon she felt the ground beneath her disppearing and in the next moment — she was at his hou- wait...

"Ouch!" She heard one of the twins say, though she couldn't tell which one in the dark, "You're stepping on my foot"

"Sorry" Birdie said back, as she felt herself pressing against someone, "Fred?"

"You can tell?" Fred whispered back, amazed.

"Yeah" Birdie said, "Where are we? Did we get the wrong address?"

"George?" Mrs Weasley said, "Go back quickly and tell Lorelei not to-"

"OW!" George yelled out in annoyance, Birdie assumed it was because Lorelei had landed right on his feet, "Do you mind?!"

"Yes, I do" Lorelei whispered back harshly as she shoved him back, "Can you give me some space?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, your highness" George said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "Is the space you're hogging in a bloody fireplace not enough for you?"

"Shut it, George" Mrs Weasley said as everyone continued to bang on the wall, then Birdie remembered something - Lorelei is claustrophobic. One time when they were playing hide and seek with Hope Lupin — the second one — Lorelei had puked inside the cupboard they were hiding in. Birdie hoped it didn't get really bad for her, though Lorelei being silent after the last remark George made, she wasn't really sure of that.

"Ow" Fred said as Birdie stepped on his foot again.

"Sorry" Birdie said grimacing.

"It's alright" Fred said, "Hold on- let me just" some shuffling a few yelps of protests happened but soon Birdie found out that Fred had made some space for her.

"Maybe Harry can hear us, Dad" Ron said, "Maybe he'll be able to let us out" Ron, Mr Weasley and Mrs Weasley all hammered their fists on the wall, trying to get his attention. Birdie tried to get a peek at Lorelei who hadn't said anything since the little banter with George. Birdie was getting worried about her now. Everyone continued banging on the walls, "Harry, Harry, can you hear us?"

"Mr Weasley, can you hear me?" Birdie perked up at hearing Harry's voice from the other side, everyone immediately dropped their hands and a small 'shh' echoed. "Mr Weasley, it's Harry... the fireplace has been blocked up, you won't be able to get through here!"

"Damn!" Mr Weasley said frustratedly, "What on earth did they block up the fireplace for?"

"They've got electric fire" Harry said, Birdie and Fred scrunched up their nose after looking at each other and muttered a small 'wanker'

"Electic, you say?" Mr Weasley said excitedly, "With a plug? gracious, I must see that! Let's think.."

"I don't like this" Lorelei said, Birdie knew that tone all too well, it was the I'm gonna puke so if you can clear the way tone. Birdie wasn't a fan of that tone...at all.

"Noooooooo" George said with fake surprise, "Why? We're all having the time of our lives here"

Birdie was about to tell him off for talking to her rudely while she was probably having a panic attack when a loud explosion took it's place, her eyes widened as she tried to get a look at Lorelei now that there was some light present to do so, and she looked sick and sweaty, her hands shaking. White dust flew around and before she knew it Lorelei was puking her guts out...on George's shoes.

Yikes.

"FOR THE LAST TIME, George, I'm not buying you new shoes!" Lorelei said as she shut the door at George's face after flipping him off, "Can you imagine his audacity? Pisses me off the whole time and then asks me for new shoes, wanker"

"No, how dare he?" Birdie said with a fake angry tone in her voice, "It's not like you ruined his shoes, oh wait...you did"

"Shut up" Lorelei said rolling her eyes and falling down on the bed Mrs Weasley had duplicated from Ginny's, Birdie and Lorelei were taking the guest room, and Harry was staying in Ron's room. Birdie hadn't exactly been able to talk to him, he seemed to just be more interested in talking to Weasleys.

"I can't believe we had to get up this early" Lorelei said as she threw clothes out of her very full trunk, because as she says - it's better to overpack then underpack.

"It's not that bad, look at the bright side" Birdie said looking through her own stuff trying to find something green that wasn't completely ugly to wear. Oh yeah, Birdie has a deep hatred for the color green. She doesn't like it at all. "Yeah, there isn't much of one besides the fact that you get to I don't know, see the Quidditch world tournament!"

"Yeah, ok" Lorelei said with a scoff, "I would probably be excited about that if that little redhead stringbean wasn't going to be there too"

"El, his whole family is going" Birdie said frowning, "You can't just expect him to stay home"

"I can't but I can hope he falls sick so he doesn-"

"EL!" Birdie said throwing a pillow at her.

"No need to get all violent" Lorelei said throwing the pillow back at Birdie, "I was just joking, no one appreciates good humor these days"

"I heard they've got this Viktor Krum this year, apparently he's really good?" Birdie said to Lorelei who's eyes widened, "He's playing for Bulgaria"

"Really?!" Lorelei said getting up, "I go to school with him, he's literally in the same house as me"

"Alright, don't faint when you see him" Birdie joked, "He might get the wrong idea, it wouldn't be that uncommon for him though, would it? I bet he's got hundreds of fangirls"

"For a reason!" Lorelei said as she threw on sweater over her shirt, she was wearing Bulgaria colors, "Have you seen his skills?"

"Um, no" Birdie furrowed her eyebrows, "I'll probably pay no attention to today's game either, and why are you wearing Bulgaria colors, I thought we were supporting Ireland?"

"You were" Lorelei said, "I never said I was going to support Ireland too, besides I go to Durmstrang now, what kind of student would I be if I didn't support Bulgaria?"

"An unbiased one?"

"Don't be salty" Lorelei said, and then threw a towel at Birdie, "You need a shower"

Birdie gave her a weird look before smelling her armpits and frowned. With her towel in hand she tried to make her way towards the bathroom, but she could hardly keep a track of the house when Mrs Weasley had given them a tour last night. Finally finding the bathroom, she walked towards it but right at the same time Harry tried to get inside too.

"Oh, erm" Harry said awkwardly as he stepped away from the door, "You can go first, if you want"

"No, it's alright" Birdie said with a smile, she had no idea why Harry was so awkward around her — she was his sister for Merlin's sake, "You go first, I can wait"

Harry nodded at her and just as she turned around he said, "Thank you"

"For what?" Birdie asked with her brows furrowed.

"For sticking up for me at the Dursley's" Harry said awkwardly.

"Oh" Birdie beamed at him, "That's what big sisters do, besides those doucheley's had it coming"

"Doucheley's?" Harry released a chuckle at that as Birdie merely shrugged. He gave her a nod as a response before going inside the bathroom. Birdie smiled to herself again, finally a conversation with her brother that didn't include him rolling his eyes at her or giving her the cold shoulder.

"Aren't you awfully cheerful in the morning" Fred said in a hoarse voice, Birdie turned around to see he was still in his pajamas.

"Don't we have to be ready in half an hour?" Birdie said, "How do you expect going from that to presentable in thirty minutes?"

"Ouch" Fred said clutching his heart, "You wound me, Robin"

"It's Birdie and I'm only kidding" Birdie said rolling her eyes, "And yeah, I'm a morning person — Lorelei hates me for it"

"Alright then, Robin, George's the morning person out of us two" Fred said and then released a yawn, "Hate him for that"

"Well, then I'm sure you're going to hate me more" Birdie chuckled, "Is everyone else up?"

"Hermione's trying to get Ron up, I think" Fred said leaning against the staircase railing, "Other than him, we're all up"

"Brilliant" Birdie said and then passed him a quick smile before she made her way back to her bedroom.

"You're done already? You don't look like it" Lorelei said and then sniffed Birdie's hair, "Ew, did you even take a shower?"

"Did you just sniff me?" Birdie said trying to prevent herself from laughing, "You weirdo!"

Birdie spent the last few minutes at the burrow with Lorelei after she took a shower and soon they were all making their way to the, well, she doesn't exactly know where, she just went along with it because everyone else did.

Turns out, they were meeting up with the Diggorys and the Rosiers. Birdie was literally tackled and pushed aside as Regan ran to give her friends a tight hug, Birdie and Lorelei rolled their eyes simultaneously.

"Regan, manners" Sirene said as she came into the view, "How are you, Harry?"

"Erm, I'm fine" Harry said with Regan's arms around his neck as he tried his best to not ignore the woman and keep hugging his best friend, it had been a long time since he'd last seen her.

"Let him breathe, damn" Andrew said pulling his daughter away from Harry though Birdie was sure it wasn't because he was worried about Regan crushing his bones. ( ;) )

Birdie trailed behind with the Rosiers as Lorelei and Sirene talked in hushed whispers about Sirius Black, apparently because he had nowhere to go right now he was going to stay with them, Lorelei said she wouldn't spend the Christmas there if Sirius is going to be there.

"I'm not sure you'd want to either" Sirene said chuckling, "Besides, resentment is corrosive, darling, try and forgive your old man sometime"

"I'll forgive him when he apologizes" Lorelei said with a scoff.

"Look, there's Cedric" Andrew said as Lorelei's eyes widened with excitement and Birdie squinted her eyes in dislike, she knew it was petty of her to hate Cedric for something he wasn't responsible about — still, how did he not notice a student literally falling from the sky while he was trying to catch the snitch, aren't seekers supposed to be more present...?

Lorelei ran towards him without wasting another second, "Ric!"

Birdie followed behind with much less enthusiasm, while Lorelei was busy hugging and catching up with Cedric - Amos seemed to have a whole lot of questions for Harry.

"Yes, but you didn't fall off did you?" Amos slapped Cedric's back, "Always modest, our Ced, always the gentleman, but the best man won, I'm sure Harry'd say the same, wouldn't you? One falls off the broom one stays on, doesn't take a genius to figure out who's the better flyer, eh, Robin? Oh, sorry you don't play Qudditch, my bad."

"No, sir" Birdie said, "Though I'm sure flying's much easier without a dementor sucking the life out of you, but again what would I know? I don't even play quidditch" Birdie said passing Amos a tight lipped smile, as she gave Harry's shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

Cedric, Lorelei and Harry looked around awkwardly. Thankfully Mr Weasley then came forward and told them about the portkey which they soon took to land near the place where the match was going to take place, well, Birdie, Lorelei, Cedric and the rest of the adults and the rest of the adults landed the rest just fell down on their faces.

As Birdie looked over the hill she saw around hundreds of tents, of all sizes, shapes, colors, and just as many people of not more waving flags of all kinds, singing songs. She couldn't wait for the rest of the day.
