Chapter 2: The Fairy boy and my acceptance letter
I sat in bed at the Burrow with my Father's old standard book of spells 2 and my caldron to practice my potion making. I began to sing Black Magic by Little Mix.
I looked into the caldron and was shocked as to what I found. It was a toddler! A little toddler boy!
"How the hell!" I cried.
Hedwig, my Father's owl came into my room though the window and landed on my shoulder. Errol, Uncle Ron's owl, ran into the window frame. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh boy. I'm in trouble now. I made a kid and now Errol got hurt when I was supposed to be talking care of him. Great," I said with a sigh.
But the letter wasn't from Father, who by the way was now the Minister of Ministry of Magic. I stared at it. It was from... Grandpa Hagrid?!
I called Hagrid, Grandpa Hagrid because he decided to adopt Father as soon as he got permission from his family and Father agreed. I missed him a lot. He was still at Hogwarts. Only now he was headmaster. I opened the letter.
Dear Gold,
How are ya? I'm sending you this letter a long with ye'er acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Ya just turned 11 this week. I thought I'd send ya something special. Hopefully ya like him. Errol should have the package. Open it and read the second letter.
Love,
Grandpa Hagrid
I looked up at Errol. He held a small parcel in his talons. I bolted over and snatched it. I looked at the boy. He was sleeping peacefully inside my caldron.
(This is Wind-rider.)
Ripping it open, I found four different little boy outfits. I back looked at the boy sleeping inside my caldron. He wasn't Human, though he looked like he was. His ears were pointed and he had wings. He was a half Fairy!
Fairies were rare now a days, especially half Fairies. Most Wizards and Witches thought Fairies and half Fairies were extinct. Half Fairies looked more Human than purebred Fairies.
I found the second letter.
Dear Gold,
Do ya like him? I hope ya do. Bring him with ya to Hogwarts this year. Oh and ye are just as famous as ye'er Father now. Ya will love it here at Hogwarts.
Love,
Grandpa Hagrid
I sighed. Touching my Magic mirror that I had made, I decided to contact Grandpa Hagrid. I didn't understand what was going on.
"Hello?" Grandpa Hagrid said.
"Hey grandpa. Why'd you send me this little half Fairy?"
"Don't ya like him? I got him to be ya familiar. You know, like Hedwig is ye'er Father's," grandpa said.
"I do like him. Guess I should think of a name for him," I said.
I thought for a long time. Soon the boy woke up and smiled at me. He flew into my open arms.
"Hi sister. Can I call you sister?" He asked.
I smiled gently at him and nodded.
"Yay!" He yelled excitedly. He buried his face in my shoulder. I laughed.
"Wind-rider," I said.
"What?" Grandpa asked.
"I'll call him Wind-rider," I said smiling.
I took the acceptance letter, said good bye to Grandpa Hagrid and rushed down stairs to show Father and my sibling, who had just arrived at the Burrow.
