Personal Questions:

1. What is your name or nickname or pen name?

Answer: My pen name is Sydney Marianne/Mari. I guess it's always been my pride-name, my dad's always telling how much I'm like my grandmother Marianne, and so instead of using my last name, I use my middle name.

2. What is your nationality?

Answer: My nationality is mostly Norwegian, but I was born in America.

3. How old are you?

Answer: My actual age is 13, but I like to say I'm 14.

4. Are you a reader or a writer?

Answer: I would say I'm more of a reader because the whole reason I write is because I love reading. I love reading so much, that I want to create that same love for other people!

5. What are your hobbies?

Answer: My hobbies, well there's a lot... but here's a few: piano, running, writing, anything E.L.A, reading, and baking.

6. Any fun fact that you would like to share?

Answer: Fun fact? I guess one is that I'm in a band... that's pretty cool, right?

7. What is or are your favourite movies or show?

Answer: The Little Mermaid/ Mission Impossible: Fallout

8. What is or are your favourite food?

Answer: My favourite food is baked potatoes, my BFF's family chili, I'm a pretty picky eater, so basically, anything that doesn't have visible fat I like.

9. What makes you smile when you feel sad?

Answer: Anything! I have this silly thing where I smile at everything, even when there's nothing to smile about, and I hate it!

10. How many languages do you speak and what are they?

Answer: 2 and a 1/2, I speak Latin and English, and a little bit of Spanish.

Professional questions:

1. How often you are in Wattpad?

Answer: I'm on Wattpad about once a day, and write on is about 1-2 days a week.

2. What started you on the path of writing?

Answer: When I was introduced to books, I've been writing since I was 5!

3. When did you first realize that you wanted to start writing? How and why?

Answer: I've always loved writing, but the real reason I do it is to get out of reality and create my own world, where anything I want to happen, happens. I can make my dreams possible in my written-worlds.

4. When did you write your first book and how old were you at that time?

Answer: I was 5 when I published my first book: Panda Gets a Cupcake, and I plan to publish another one in about 2 years!

5. What are some of your favourite authors on Wattpad?

Answer: LEPalphreyman

6. How long have you been writing?

Answer: Since I was 5, so about 8 years.

7. Do you only write in Wattpad? Or is there any other website you write? If yes, then which other website do you write on?

Answer: Besides my published children's book, I've only written in Wattpad, with the exception of a few hand-written paper drafts of other stories I wrote when I was 5.

8. What do you love most about writing?

Answer: Again, I love creating a world that I can hide in to get away from reality.

9. What keeps you motivated for your writing?

Answer: What keeps me motivated? Well, for one my lovely readers, two, my friends, three my characters, and four all the awesome stories I read! 

10. How many books have you written? Out of all your books, which book do you think is the most successful?

Answer: Out of the 1 and 1/2 books I've written, I'd say The Guardians is the most successful due to my newly-picked-up writing skills, and that I have more of an audience.

11. Are any of your characters based on people you know? If yes, would you like to mention some of the characters and how you related to them to your story.

Answer: My characters are usually based on me, but sometimes my friends too. When I base them off of me, I'll usually put my traits and flaws in to make the characters more realistic and relatable. Sometimes I use my characters to help me figure out solutions for my real-life problems.

12. Who inspires you in writing?

Answer: Who inspires me to write? I'd say my future self, my book-loving mom, and my friends. Plus all of my Wattpad fans!

13. What do your fans mean to you?

Answer: My fans mean a lot to me because they're the reason I write! Without them, I probably wouldn't be writing The Guardians!

14. What advise would you give to new writers?

Answer: Well, for any new writer... "To each his own." I'd say, write for yourself. Write your dreams, life experiences and thoughts! Be you in your writing, not the next Veronica Roth or Susan Collins, but the next you!

15. What do you plan to do in future with your writing?

Answer: In the future, I plan to make writing my career, or at least part of it. I want to be the next big N.Y Times Bestselling Author, and make reading more awesome!
