Intro 2
A young teen starred in the dusty mirror of his make-shift room. He was whispering things to himself. Things like... it'll be okay, and, you can do this... it's just like every other day...
The guy looked just a little less than normal...
He had messy, black hair, a torn, black tank top, blackish-blue pants, and old, black shoes. His eyes were a slightly mettalic silver. The kind that literally shines in the light.
Footsteps sounded down the hall, making the teen jump. He already knew who it was, yet it still made him jump.
"Jax. You up?" The voice came from the other side of the door, sounding soft and sweet.
"Y-yeah... I'm up."
The door creaked open slightly, revealing a young adult. She was pretty, Jax had to admit. Ginger hair that was almost always pulled back into a messy bun, blue eyes that seemed a lot less lively than when Jax had first met her. Her starch white lab coat clashed with her blue and black shirt (or at least he thought so). Her black pants were torn slightly, most likely from being worn too often.
"Hey buddy..." Her tone was gentle, almost like she was talking to a scared animal. "You ready?"
No. Jax was not ready. He didn't want to do this anymore... yet... "Yeah. I'm ready."
He didn't ever voice his opinions... He he had learned over time that it would just get you hurt. Especially in a place like this...
"Let's go..." Was all she said. But he could see emotions swirling on her eyes. Jax only recognized a few though.. Pity, sorrow, fear... And a few others he couldn't name. But he could tell that she didn't want to do this. He could tell that she hated doing it... yet she had to, if she wanted to keep her job.
"...I never got your name."
The female was caught off-guard by his statement. She had never thought that he'd even care about knowing her name.
She took a moment to say something, as her throat had suddenly turned dry.
"Lucy. My name is Lucy."
Jax smiles ever so slightly. "Pretty... I like it."
Lucy was once again caught off-guard and fell silent. She felt guilty, almost... for all the things that this kid had to go through.
Suddenly, everything hit her at once. Jax doesn't know anything about the outside world. He didn't know what the sky looked like. He didn't know what the grass felt like under your feet. He doesn't know what trees, or clouds, or flowers, or anything like that, are.
That's it. She's decided.
She's going to help him escape.
