Pidge's POV:

I couldn't sleep after the talk with my mother. Did she see me as a weapon? A monster? A murderer?

Matt had kept reassuring me through the walls, but it wasn't helping. Why did I still feel like the bad guy? Why was I the one stuck in here?

Although we apparently weren't going to be staying much longer.

Four roars echoed throughout the entire complex as dust fell down onto my head. I brushed it off as I jumped to my feet, then was knocked back down when the entire building violently shook. The other prisoners screamed in fear and confusion.

I was smiling. It was Green, and the others.

"Matt, it's the Lions!" I shouted excitedly through the wall. Except I got no answer. "Matt? Matt!"

Was he hurt? Maybe falling rubble had knocked him out? Or was he panicking from being imprisoned by the Galra?

"Matt--?!"

"Katie, I'm right here."

I whirled around and saw my brother standing in the doorway to my cell, a blue mouse in his hand. I had seen it before in the Castle.

It and three others had helped me defeat Sendak, as well as stayed up with me on late nights when I was doing research.

"Chulatt?"

The mouse nodded, and Matt hauled me out of the cell as we ran towards the chaos and searched for our stuff.

"Wait!" The other prisoners cried. "What about us?"

"Yeah, aren't you two heroes?!"

Matt and I shared a look, before I turned away. "You're here because you deserve it. Sometimes we have to make tough decisions for the greater good. And besides, I rescue those close to me, and I decided that years ago."

We then left the others behind as we grabbed our gear and sprinted out the exit.

The others were there waiting, and we took out a few guards before leaping into Green's open jaws.

"Nice to see you again, girl," I smiled as I sat in the cockpit. The lion purred in agreement. "And I know they messed with your systems, I'll see what Hunk and I can do to fix you up once we find Shiro--"

All four Lions perked up, staring at the same point on the horizon before roaring and taking off.

"Guys what's--"

"That roar..." Keith muttered. "That's him, Pidge--"

"Guys, I got a signal!" Lance interrupted.

"Me too!" Hunk agreed. "The Lions are going towards it on their own!"

"That's it," Keith replied. "That's the Black Lion. That's where Shiro is!"
