Several Hours After Trenton Attack

After the two monster's abrupt disappearance in Trenton, the military was unable to locate either beast, as Godzilla dived too deep into the ocean, and Gigamoth had burrowed so fast he could not be tracked.

This would not last for long, however...

Meanwhile, on the streets of Philadelphia, people move about their daily lives, oblivious to the danger they could be in. Suddenly, the ground begins shaking and rumbling, and a large horn emerges from the ground, followed by the rest of Gigamoth's head and body, screeching loudly. The wound on his cheek where Godzilla had ripped the tusk from his face was not healed, but was covered in dried, green blood. The asphalt cracked and broke apart as the beast crawled forth from his tunnel, observing the panicking city around him. With a blot from his horn beam, several of them were vaporized instantly, their bodies turning to piles of ash.

Gigamoth continued through the city demolishing everything in his path, building and pedestrian alike. With the military's arrival and response delayed due to the presence of the city's populace, Gigamoth tore through the city unopposed. Shortly after making a dent in the entire city, it made its way into the Pennsylvania countryside, where the military finally advised a nuclear strike on it...

Ten Hours After Philadelphia Attack
August 21, 2020

The Bomber jet flew overhead, just out of Gigamoth's horn beam reach. The Pilot radioed to command;
"This is Blackhawk six to command, I've got eyes on the target. Repeat, Blackhawk six has eyes on the target. Standing by to fire."

"Copy Blackhawk six. You may fire when ready."

"Copy that."

The pilot clicked a lever, and then pressed the red button to drop the warhead. The warhead fell, straight down, and locked onto Gigamoth, ready to hit the monster head-on. Gigamoth looked up at the last second to see the bomb hit him-

BOOM!

The Bomb detonated on contact, and a mushroom cloud erupted, sending a shockwave across the landscape. The Bomber circled the explosion, watching.
"Command, this is Blackhawk six. Target has been eliminated."

"Copy Blackhawk six, stand by for visual confirmation."

"Roger that..."

At least thirty minutes passed as the dust began to settle, and the Bomber could barely see the explosion site. Suddenly, Gigamoth emerged from the cloud, very much alive and unscathed. "What the hell?" the pilot exclaimed. "Uh- Blackhawk six to command! No effect, I repeat, no effect! Target is still alive!"
Gigamoth began glowing and crackling with electricity, until it suddenly exploded, and emerged from the cloud as a large, winged beast that looked vaguely similar to its previous appearance.
"It's...It's changed form!"
"Blackhawk six, come in! What do you mean, it's changed form?"
"I-"

Before the pilot could give a detailed response, the new Gigamoth suddenly fired two yellow beams from its eyes, which tore through the Bomber and it exploded. Gigamoth shrieked in delight, and took to the air, and began flying southwest.

Several Hours Later
August 22, 2020

With Gigamoth in a new, winged form which was capable of traveling much faster, and no conventional weapons capable of injuring it, even nuclear bombs, he could not be stopped as he made his way to the city of Baltimore, which he began to terrorize.

Gigamoth flew overhead, unleashing waves of yellow energy beams from his eyes, carving smoldering lines into the city's buildings, causing skyscraper after skyscraper to collapse and send clouds of dust and rubble into the air. Finally, Gigamoth perched himself atop the city aquarium, and began shooting beams at the area around it, until everything in a 50 foot radius of the main building was ash. Gigamoth screeched, and then folded his wings and climbed down the side of the building, and began to dig into it, slowly burrowing into the building itself, until he disappeared into a cloud of rubble, and left a giant hole in the side of the building.
