MONARCH OUTPOST 32
ANTARCTICA

As soon as we landed, the other men cocked their guns. Then, Alan turned to Emma and Maddie.

"You two stay here. And you-"

He then turned to me, startling me.

A dramatic pause ensued.

"Make sure these two don't try anything funny."

He then walked out. following his group of mercenaries.

I pulled the goggles over my eyes in case Madison might recognize me, and silently regarded them.

Trying to keep the mood a little bit happy, I managed a tiny wave at the two of them.

Emma frowned in confusion, and Madison stuck her tongue out at me.

Don't take it personal, Kaito, she thinks you're a bad guy.

Suddenly, gunfire rang outside the osprey, Making all three of us jump, before Alan re-entered the craft, gesturing for the two hostages to follow him.

We walked inside the compound, and loaded into an elevator. I stood in the corner, silently watching Alan, who was standing uncomfortably close to Madison for my liking.

As I watched, he smiled and did a friendly wave at her.

In response, Madison pretended to adjust her hair, in reality giving Alan her middle finger.

He frowned, and I struggled to suppress a laugh.

KAITO
TEN MINUTES LATER

I had silently separated myself from the group, and was walking through the compound, looking for a phone or something I could use to contact HQ and let them know what was happening.

Suddenly, two G-Force soldiers, whom I recognized as Sgt. Barnes and Col. Foster. They pointed their rifles at me, and I dropped mine and threw my hands into the air.

"Wait!" I whisper-shouted. I quickly removed my face mask and goggles. "It's ok, I'm Kaito Hamada. I'm with Monarch."

They regarded me with suspicious looks, but kept their rifles trained.

"How do we know you're not lying?"

Shit, I should have known this wouldn't be easy.

Quickly, I reached into the terrorist uniform, and withdrew a Monarch ID badge. "I was working at Outpost 61, with doctor Emma Russel and her daughter Madison."

They lowered their guns, and then a middle-aged man, whom I recognized as Madison's father Mark, came out from behind them. "You know Madison?"

"Well...um...kinda? I mean, we haven't, like, officially met, but-"

He cut me off, putting his hands on my shoulders. "Where. Are. They."

"Ummm...like, middle floor? They're going to blow charges they've placed in the ice."

Mark turned to Foster. "They're going to try and free it. Get down there and-"

Suddenly, a huge explosion shook the whole outpost.

"Too late!" Barnes yelled. "Let's get outta here!"

When we got outside, there was already an osprey in the air, Which I guessed had Alan, Emma, and Madison already on it.

"Run!" Foster yelled, and we looked around to see the ground around the compound begin collapsing. Running for our lives, we just made it out of the destruction path before a gigantic hole opened in the ground where the outpost once was.

Then, we heard it.

A faint pulsing sound, which I soon recognized as the ORCA's transmission signal.

"That's the ORCA!" Mark said. "But what are they using it for?"

"Oh no." I said woefully.

Slowly, a long, slender tail with a fan of spikes raised out of the pit, and a bone-chilling rattling sound came for it. Then, another tail. Then, a head.

It was a dragon's head, with a set of four curved horns on either side, lion-like snout and fangs, and blazing red eyes.

then, two more heads followed the first out of the pit, and all three turned to look at us.

"You gotta be kidding." Barnes muttered.

Raising high into the air, the middle head reared itself and let out a growl.
TRAAAAWR!

That's all for tonight, I'm all tired out, but I promise you, Monster Zero and Godzilla will be present for the next chapter, in which they will clash for the first time in a long time. Don't forget to comment, upvote, and save to your library so you know when I update the story.
