De
Chara stared at the mountain before them. They sighed, starting to climb. They hated humanity. Why? Well... it's a long story... one we don't have time for. Anyway, they climbed for a long time. Exhausted, they made it to the top, and stared down at the hole in the mountain, leading to the Underground. They leaped.
De stared at the darkness. He grinned. The darkness was all he knew, and nobody would see him. He saw a child leap down. They landed roughly nearby.
He frowned and felt bad for the child. He shook his head. 'No.' He thought. 'I am Death. I am not supposed to care for another.' But the more he looked at the hurting child... he felt more sorry, even though it wasn't his fault at all.
They stared at the darkness, staring right at De and grinned, "I see you~"
"You see me? Nobody should be able to see me." He spoke, coming out to face them.
They giggled, "You're a shadow. You must be De."
"Yes, I am. How do you know about me? Who are you?" He asked.
They grinned, "Reasons. I am Chara. I HATE humanity. Can you help me?"
He liked this child.
"Yes." He grinned.
"Oh. You've fallen down, haven't you?" A voice spoke, emerging from the darkness.
The two looked at the place where the voice spoke. Standing there was a goat... and a being filled with light.
He was suprised, "Li? What are you doing here?"
She was just as surprised as he was, "De? I... found someone. I see you found someone, too."
The goat walked over to them and held out his hand.
"Chara." They spoke, taking his hand.
The goat smiled, "Chara, huh? That's a nice name."
"Who are you?" They asked.
The goat grinned, "I am Asriel, the prince of the monsters... but I'm not going to hurt you, I promise. I want to help... could I take you to my parents? They're nice, I swear..."
"Sure..." They smiled.
De stared at Asriel as the pair walked away from them, leaving him and Li alone in the dark.
He smiled, "He's a nice child."
"Exactly why I chose him." She grinned.
He sighed, "We have to follow them, don't we?"
"Only the one we chose, but I bet these two will end up spending time together, and maybe becoming friends..." She giggled.
He groaned, "The only reason we were ever friends is because of Re, but neither of us know where Re is."
"Exactly. Don't worry, De. They'll show up soon. I hope." She smiled, following Asriel.
He sighed, following Chara, "I guess you're right, Li. We just have to hope."
