Ch6. The Goddess Of Treachery

As the clock strikes 11:45p.m, the four started to walk towards the WBBA building, weapon in hands. The street lamps were dim, and the building they used to battle in before them looked scary and a sickly yellow under the dark yellow lights. The sky was not as black as it used to be, as it was covered in thick, gray clouds. The moon and stars were gone and behind the clouds, as if they didn't want to see what would happen next.

Lui was first to break the silence between the four, groaning quietly while twirling his black fighting knife in his hand.

"I hate this," he mumbled sourly. "It makes us sound like some sort of super heroes or... Disney princes saving our friends' lives."

Shu glared at Lui as he heard Lui's muttering. "And you think we don't?" He snapped. "One wrong move and our friends die. We ourselves could easily die too. You think the three of us are liking this too?"

Lui and Shu glared at each other fiecy but said nothing after they saw the 'shut-the-hell-up' looks Xhaka and Zac were giving them.

And after a short while, the four Spin Emperors were already at the WBBA building's doors. Shu then reached out to open the doors, making a loud screech. After opening the doors, Shu nodded at the other three, then the four stepped inside the dark and silent building. But when the four were fully inside, the doors slammed loudly with a 'THUD' behind them by themselves. Zac and Shu's eyes widened in fear, while Lui simply froze.

Xhaka, being the calmest one of the four, quickly walked up towards the closed doors and pulled hardly.

"Shit!" He cursed. "They're locked!" He pulled again and again, but still, nothing happened.

"Urgh," Lui groaned as he checked his watch. "Let's just forget about these damn doors and move on. It's already 11:56 p.m. We only have six minutes and we don't have much time left. So everyone just please move your legs and go to the rooftop."

Zac and Shu could only nod, still not yet recovered from the shock, and Xhaka just rolled his eyes at Lui but had no choice but to follow Lui's instruction.

Then, the Spin Emperors proceeded to walk away from the doors and towards the rooftop. The WBBA building was three floors high, excluding the rooftop, so to get to the rooftop, bladers must use the lift.

Speaking of lifts, Zac suddenly stopped walking as he remembered something important.

"Um... guys," he started hesitantly. "We can't use the lifts now. All electricity, including the lights and the lifts, were all shut down after 10 p.m. This rule is written on the notice board downstairs. We must use the stairs instead."

Everyone else groaned quietly (Lui groaned the loudest), but didn't complain as they followed Zac up the staircase.

"I feel like some magical ninja or knight somehow. If anyone catch us like this, with weapons and everything and lurking in the shadows, then I can already see the headline of tomorrow's news: 'Spin Emperors Of Japan, Cosplaying In The Middle Of The Night?!' Yeah, I can totally imagine that," Xhaka joked quietly.

"Shut up and be serious. We are trying to not get killed," Lui said.

Xhaka rolled his eyes. "Just trying to lighten up the mood," he retorted.

After a while, the four reached the top end of the stairs, and in front of them was a door. The staircases were long and high, and they had to walk up to the rooftop (which was technically the fourth floor of the extremely huge and tall building), so all of the four Spin Emperors were already panting and sweating in exhaustion.

"R...Ready, guys?" Shu said breathlessly and the others nodded in response. Shu swiped a single drop of sweat off his forehead and took a deep breath. He reached out his right hand, then slowly and carefully opened the door.

What they saw outside the door was pretty normal, just an ordinary rooftop. The four pairs of eyes scanned the whole area, frowning as they see nothing unusual.

"Do you think that we're being tricked? I mean, aren't something supposed to attack us or jump out of somewhere or laugh or something?" Lui said, clearly annoyed. "I hate this place more and more. I want to go now-"

Lui's speech was cut off when something whisked past his head, hitting the floor behind him. Lui's trainings every day had done him some good. He quickly jumped away, barely escaping the flying object. Lui looked behind him, his purple eyes widening at what he saw on the ice-cold floor.

A small, sharp silver knife landed on the hard floor with a 'cling!'.

"W-who's there?!!" Shu shouted as his grip tightened around his battle axe, slightly shaking.

The Spin Emperors looked around again, but still, they saw nothing. The wind blew loudly against their ears.

"Who are you? Where... where are you?! Show yourself!" This time, Lui shouted, clenching his teeth, either from annoyance or fear. "We're not afraid of you. Why did you kidnap our teammates?! What do you want?!" He yelled, and was ready to yell even louder, but was cut off by another fighting knife that whisked past his white boa, cutting through its feathers. The knife pasted through the boa, only to land on the cold hard floor with a 'cling!' like the other knife.

"How noisy!" A voice chimed sweetly.

Zac, Xhaka, Lui and Shu looked around for the third time, still seeing nothing.

"Up here. Behind you," the voice instructed.

The four bladers looked up, eyes widening as they saw a beautiful woman levitating behind them with her legs crossed in the air. The woman was wearing a black cocktail dress and a pair of matching black 5-inches high heels. Her face was covered in fine makeup and her lips were covered in gloss. Her long fingernails were gelled in sharp purple nail polish and small, shimmering crystals. The woman was wearing large diamond earrings and a sapphire necklace, and a sapphire bracelet to match her necklace.

The woman twirled her curly blonde locks in her fingers. She looked to be in her early twenties. She looked pretty, the only thing about her that seemed out of place was the terrifying violet aura surrounding her.

"W-who are you?" Zac asked as he stepped towards the woman, briefly glancing at the space between her feet and the ground. "What do you want? How... how are you levitating?" T

he woman giggled and batted her eyelids, twirling her hair again. The violet aura around her sparkled and twinkled, glowing even brighter, so bright that Zac griamced.

"One question at a time, dear," She laughed.

"Fine then. One question at a time. Who are you?" Lui growled.

The woman smiled at Lui, giving him a sickening sweet and innocent look.

"Aw, you remind me so much of my sister!" She pouted. "You two are so similar, always so grumpy and angry! What's your name anyway?" She stopped for a while to think. "Wait. I remembered you. You have blue hair and purple eyes... you're a Spin Emperor... Aha! You're Longinus, aren't you? You're the Dragon Prince of Ice! We meet at last!" She giggled.

Lui raised his eyebrows in confusion. "No I'm not. My name is Lui. Shirasagijo Lui. I'm not some Dragon Prince of Ice. I'm not Longinus. Longinus is my fucking bey," Lui glared at the woman as she began to giggle.

"So you don't know... what's that again? Ah... your bey, right? You said Longinus is your bey, didn't you? Wow, I didn't expect you to be so uninformed," she said, half surprised. "Then you don't know anything about your 'bey'. Yep, I've seen it all. I've seen how all of you stupid humans played with your little spinning-tops, stupid enough to not notice that you actually have strong souls in your possessions. Humans treated these mighty souls like toys, not knowing that they are powerful spirits. Filthy humans," she spat. "Not that I care anyway. Soon, all humans will be under my control!" She said, madness glistening in her violet eyes. Then, her gaze dropped towards the bladers.

"I'm Violet, the Goddess of Treachery," she introduced herself bubbly.

"Oh and by the way, you're late. It's already two minutes past midnight when you poor things arrived," she said. She licked her lips. "And guess what? Just as I said, you're friends will suffer the consequences!"

"W-where am I?" A blue haired boy yawned as he woke up from his slumber. The place he woke up in was too dark and tight to be his bedroom. Valt rubbed his eyes, looking around him, even though he couldn't really see anything. The tight little room he's in was too dark. Suddenly, he felt something move beside him.

"Eek!" Valt squeaked. His eye widened at who he saw. Daina, Wakiya and Rantaro were all stuffed next to him.

Besides his friends, Valt also saw some of the other bladers as well. Orochi, Ukyo, Yugo, Akira and Gou were also inside the dark room, stiring in their sleep. But what terrified Valt the most wasn't the fact that he didn't even know where they were. What kept Valt's eyes widening, was the smokey, violet light that's surrounding around all of them.

"S-shu..." Valt suddenly whimpered out quietly before loosing consciousness again...
