I watched taurus walk away with my heart running at two hundred miles per hour, I couldn't help but feel scared when he said those words.what else can a girl do when someone tells her outright that she's in danger.

Okay, okay, I can handle this.

I'll go to the talove, drill her and get the fuck out.

I took my phone out and set a fake call scheduled for an hour. That's how long I'm staying, nothing more but probably less.

The door looks acient and sophisticated with delicate carves, swirls and weird symbols.

Haha, one looks like a butt.

I open the door and take a deep breath before walking into the semi lit room.

"uh,ta-talove?" I call out.
I look around for some sign of the woman but there's nothing.

"uh, um, hello?? Talove?.are you there?" I called out louder, but nothing.

"Hello Emma."
I shrieked when I heard a voice behind me. What is it with these people and sneaking up on me!
I turn around and my jaw dropped when I take in the ethereal creature with stark white hair that glints with the colours of the rainbow in the sunlight, silver eyes that look like they could melt with one wrong look and a transparent body. I can literally see through her.

She smiles and sretch her hands towards me.
"would you like to take a seat Emma, before you start 'drilling' me." she said with a siren-like voice.

Wait.

"how did you...." I trailed off as I try to find a reasonable explanation.

"take a seat Emma.we only have an hour and we're wasting precious time." she added.
Note to self,don't think about insulting anyone in this  building.

She let out a light chuckle.
I sat down and blurted before I could even think about it.
"Did you read my mind?"

"yes" she said without hesitation.

"it's quite more like you showed me your thoughts." she added

Huh? Wait. What?

"How did I do that?" I asked.

"just like how you can see through me, I can see through you too and that includes your mind. You cannot see my thoughts because I blocked them off from people like... You. You on the other hand have not learnt the technique, so your mind is literally like an open book." she explained.

But after all she said, the only thing I could ask was
"what do you mean by 'people like me'?

She smiled and shook her head as she took a seat across from me. Having realised that I have been standing, I sat on the couch behind me and leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knee and my chin on my fists.

"You are like me. Only our kind and few others who are skilled can do what we do." she said.

Okay backtrack... Our kind!? What does that even mean! She's clearly not human. Wait.

"you're not human emma,you never were." it's clear she read my mind again and I keep my eyes on hers and leave it there. There is so much genuinity in her face but how is that possible? My dad is a human.but I never knew my mom.

"Okay, assuming you're right and I truly am not fully human, then I must be part human because my dad is one." I replied but she frowned and shook her head.

"Your dad is not human either."

That sent a wave of emotions over me.i am angry, confused, sad, dissapointed, fascinated, curious, doubtful and so much more that I couldn't keep up anymore,my dad has two legs, two eyes, emotions, a heart and blood -i think,how is this possible.

"then what is he? "

"he's just..... not human, I'm not in a position to tell you what it is."

"you can't leave me hanging. " I scowled

"you're clearly doubtful, I don't want to continue when you won't believe me." she frowned and stood up.

"But—"

"please.. Leave. "

"But i—

"please. "

She  walked towards the back room, leaving me behind, what did she expect when she told me my dad is not human?  Was she expecting me to just go with it?
These people are as confusing as the weather in February.

I walk towards the door and turned the door knob, after stealing a glance at the ethereal creature, I walk out.

Great. Now I have more questions than answers. I don't want any of this. I don't.

"Did you get what you wanted? " I turn around and find a smirking tarius leaning on the wall parallel to Talove's.

I sigh.

"No. I wish I never came in the first place. "

"to Talove's or to starqua?" he asked,still smirking.

"What's starqua? "

"Uh.. This place. " he replied.

"well both. I want to go home. "

"Emma you know you—"

He didn't get to finish what he was about to say because of the clash we heard. I don't know where it came from but tarius must know because he started pulling me towards the a door,panick filled me as I look around frantically, trying to figure out what's happening.

"what's happening? " I ask out of breath.

"I don't know." he replied.

"then where are we going? "

"I don't know?" he replied again.
Is this guy crazy?

We stopped and he dropped my hand, leaving a tingly feeling behind and I rub my palm together.  He ran towards a corridor close to where we were standing and took a peek. He pulled back immediately, his chest heaving and eyes wide open. 

Okay what the fuck is happening!?

He turned around to face me and his eyes grew even wider. He pulled out an arrow from his quiver that I just noticed ,he said

"Don't move "

And I heard a 'woosh' and a thud. He fired it just beside my ear, leaving the skin hot. I turn around and find a bleeding man on the floor with an arrow prodding  from his chest. He turns into ash in a second and I screamed .

"sh sh... Shhhhhhh.. Fuck what are you doing? Trying to get us killed!? " he whisper yelled at me and I mouthed
"sorry. "

He shook his head and I sighed. He grabbed my hand again and pulled me towards where he just came from.  He took a peek again and pulled us towards the corridor. We didn't even go far when four guys came out of nowhere.

"Tarius, leave the girl alone."
The one with tattoos all over his body said. He spoke so calmly that it scared me. I shiver and tarius squeezed my hand telling me it's Okay.

"Get the fuck out of here stero and you won't get hurt."
Tarius replied.

The guy whose name I presume is stero cracked his neck and tilted his head towards us.

"Get the girl, I don't care if the guy dies." stero said and before I knew it, we (tarius and I) were sprinting towards another corridor. Andrenaline filled my veins and the sound of my heart hammering in my chest overshadowed the sound of our feet stomping on the marble floor. My sides hurt and my breathing quickened.

We keep moving, hallway after hallway and the worst thing that could happen happened. A dead end.
We turn around to go into another hallway but stero and the three other guys stood before us.  Stero smirked and my stomach churned. My sides are cramping and my chest is heaving.

They advanced to us and tarius pulled out an arrow and fired one that lunged at me. He turned into asheq immediately, filling my nostrils with the scent of burnt flesh.  Two the guys came out of nowhere and joined them.

Oh shit.. This is not good!

Four of them lunged at tarius and two came at me. And I scream, hoping someone would come out of nowhere and save me. 

Stero cringed and screamed at me
"Shut up bitch .if you do that again I'll slap the living shit out of you. "

I feel like my head is going to explode and my body is on fire. I look at my hands and my eyes widened ,white fire seeped through my fingers, stero and the other guy moved backwards and I stared at my hands.

The guys fighting tarius fell onto the floor and tarius glanced at me his eyes widened and his jaw dropped.

Tears filled my vision and I couldn't take the heat anymore. I shut my eyes and scream, blinding light filled my vision and  almost immediately, everything blacked out.

My head felt like it was hit with two sledge hammers as I closed my eyes but the problem is I can't open them again. I can't and I'm freaking out. Am I dead? Am I in hell or the underworld? because heaven can't be this dark.

Oh my, I never got to try a pineapple pizza and go bungee jumping and tell Jonathan how I feel or touch tarius and taurus's beards and hug my baby, and have a baby, and have a boyfriend, and get a degree.

I'm dead!!.

Or so I think, wait. I'm not even sure yet maybe I'm still fine. But..
I try moving my lips but couldn't, I tried to grasp onto something nearby but I can't even move my arms. Maybe I'm paralysed or maybe I'm dreaming and everything that happened with the zodiacs was just one big terrible dream. But it feels so real.

Well it's settled,I'm dreaming and I value my sleep too much to wake up.

I wait for a while, expecting to wake up from my bizarre dream but my mind have never been awake when I was asleep, it's not possible for me.

I try kicking my legs again but failed, I can feel them but I can't do anything. Everything is dark and I'm starting to freak out again, I tried opening my eyes, screaming, or move any part of my body, but I can't. I can feel my limbs but I can't control them. I can't be paralysed can I?. Oh God, why did this have to happen to me!?

"—there a way to disable it?"
I heard a voice say, it sounds an awful lot like tarius'.

"yes, but it'll take time" another voice said, it sounds familiar but I can't pin it down.

"How long?" tarius's voice asked

"12 hours, but if she's as strong as you think she is, she'll be fine in less than ten hours" the woman's voice said.

"Is there a faster way?" he asked.

"Patience Saggitarius, all it takes is a little time, if we speed up the process, we might end up disabling her nerve cells and she could be paralysed and stuck in her mind for all of eternity."

Wait what?

I heard a sigh and an "okay" before everything was silent again.

It was weird because I was fully conscious but I couldn't move a single cell.

Anticipating another voice, I wait, I wait for seconds, minutes,hours,i don't know how long and my thoughts wander, I think about everything and anything. What I would do to see the light right now,i think about Riley, he must be very confused and worried, seeing as I didn't send a single text to him. I think about my mom,i will never refer to her as my step mom. She's been more than a mother to me,i want to just bask in her scent of old spice and cooking that I've been so accustomed to,those arms that can heal any wound with just one embrace, and her voice that sounds like a siren,i will never understand how her vocal chords could be arranged so perfectly. I think about my dad,his eyes, his arms that are almost as comforting as mom's, his stories about his younger days, I miss him, I miss them all.
My mind wanders to tarius, his strong chiselled jaw, his striking hazel eyes that seem to hide pain behind a playful gleam but I can still see it, the way his hair sways in the wind and how he always runs his hand through his hair when he's agitated,how his full lips that managed to maintain a beautiful pink colour , how his voice always sound husky like he's always sleepy, the way his biceps bulge when he crosses his arms and why he's always smirking, I really think it's stereotypical to associate smirking with a bad boy image.

"she's stiring,took her long enough" I heard a voice say and true to its words, I gain full control of my eyes and flash them open,i close them right back because the light is blinding.i slowly blink them back open and I find a smiling tarius looking down at me.

Wow, the idiot smiles.

"How do you feel? " he asked, pulling me up to a siting position.

"I'm.... Okay? "
It sounded more like a question than an answer.
Looking around, I find gemini and taurus grinning at me with a confused talove gazing at me.

"what happened??. And where am I?" I ask once I got a good look at everything and everyone.

"what matters most is your health right now.,are you hungry?" gemini asked.

"Not really." I replied but my stomach decided to betray me by grumbling and I lower my head as heat crawled up my cheeks. She chuckled and walked out, probably to get food and I raise my head.

"How long have I been unconscious? " I ask again.

"suprisingly, two hours." taurus said with a grin still etched on his face and he stole a sneaky glance at talove who still looks suprised.

"Wow Emma, how did you do that. "  tarius asked.

"Do what? " I replied still thinking about what he's talking about.

" you know.. That light fire thing with your hands and eyes. " he grins.

"What are — oh.. I don't know. How did I do that and who where those people? And what did they want from me and why do you know him? " I point at tarius.

"Stero is a psychopath. And everyone knows who he is. He's a power hungry psycho." he snorted

"Then why did he come after me?" I ask. Still confused.

"probably because of your forehead "  his grin replaced by a look of shock.

"What's on my forehead? " I Start panicking again. 

The door opens and a smiling  gemini walked in holding a tray. 

"Here ,try not to c—"

The tray fell and she made an o with her mouth while her eyes widened.

I stood up, my legs feel weak but I still manage to carry myself to the tray on the floor and turned it around to see my reflection.

Holy shit ......

Gemini smirked and folded her arms
"looks like andrews is the prophecy. "
