Sidoh. That was his name.

You'd asked Thanatos to get his hands on any information he could regarding the shinigami you'd described, and he came back with the name Sidoh, and the fact that he hadn't be spotted in the shinigami realm for a while.

So that was the fucker who dropped the book...

"Honestly I don't know why I even bother with the shinigami, they're simply don't care for consequences" Thanatos sighed.

"They're a handful, that's for sure. Does anyone have any idea exactly when the book was dropped?" You replied.

"No, he'd been sighted in the shinigami realm as recently as last month. But we know the book had been on earth longer than that"

Damnit, yet another dead end. Well, at least you knew who the shinigami was now. Teru Mikami was the new Kira and Sidoh was his shinigami, that was at least something you could work with.

"By the way, I heard about L. Quite impressive he can trigger his truest form on emotions alone" Thanatos added.

"Oh yes! I'm proud of him. He looks great, in or out of his true form. I'm still trying to crack mine open, but I'm just happy for him that he finally figured it out" you replied.

"Reminds me of mother a little, the star like mass he's made up of looks similar to mothers hair"

Nyx was a beautiful goddess, her long dark hair was the night sky itself, and her skin was spotted with starry freckles. The same ones she'd passed down to her son Hypnos. Her eyes were as dark as night, but her voice soft and calming. She was intimidating, but beautiful. She was the one goddess that could even bring Zeus to his knees, and everyone knew about it after she saved Hypnos from his wrath all those years ago.

L perhaps some of the beauty of L's true form was taken from the night sky, as the stars and moon were often associated with love.

"Your true from kind of reminds me of her too, which makes sense I mean you're her son" you replied.

Thanatos' true form would strike fear into the hearts of mortals. The classic skeletal grim reaper type shape, but almost black hole like eyes and a dark aura around him. Like the deepest parts of the night sky that his mother had domain over.

"Out of me and Hypnos, Hypnos definitely took after her the most. But all her children hold parts of her darkness somewhere inside them" Thanatos replied.

"Speaking of... how's Hypnos and the baby? It's been a few weeks since I last saw them" you asked.

"They're good, sleeping the days away as usual. Although Hypnos has been paying extra close attention to Morpheus' dreams recently. Helping him develop his power, he's kept a very close eye since the dream about your suspect"

Sounded like Hypnos was rather intrigued in the magic side of this case just as you were. You'd have to thank him for the help next time you saw him.

"I have souls to collect, I'll call upon you if there's any more developments" Thanatos said.

"Thank you, I'll see you later" you replied.

His usual burst of green light, and he was gone. Off to direct his death collectors to gather the souls of the dead, and probably gather some himself. You turned to leave the highlands and get back to the case, heading down the hallways and giving a quick hello to everyone you passed. Loud laughter and revelry filled the air as you passed the banquet hall, along with the smell of alcohol. When you peeked inside you weren't surprised to find Dionysus had broken out the wine while the sun was still up.

He and a few other gods were already getting tipsy, unsurprising.

"(Yyyyy/nnnn)!! Come join!" He called out, upon noticing you spying on them.

"Sorry man, I've gotta get back to the taskforce. Kira won't catch himself" you replied.

"Aahhh alright, at least take a bottle though. That case had got you and L wiiicckeedd stressed"

Well... maybe you could take a bottle. Have it as a treat later tonight for a pick me up after a long days work.

"Yeah alright" you caved.

"Legeeennddd, I got just the thing" Dionysus replied.

He reached into the hand carved cooler with all his most recent brews in it, pulling out a red wine that almost glittered in the light. That must be some powerful stuff, best not drink too much of it.

"Sweet, L will like it. Super alcoholic though so don't go too nuts. Or do, if you're tryna get totally lit" He said.

"Thanks, I'll make sure I keep an eye on how many glasses we down" you replied.

"Oh, and it's an aphrodisiac..."

This sly motherfucker. Of course his latest brew was aphrodisiac, he was known for his wild banquets and subsequent... activities with Forrest nymphs after all. 

"I'll keep that in mind" you smirked.

"Good luck dude, don't get too shitfaced. Or do, more energy for me to feed off" he replied.

Oh that Dionysus, always the party animal.

Heading back down to the human realm and the taskforce, you found the boys (and near) mid lunch. All the case work set aside and several plates of amazing smelling noodles laid out.

"Hey you're back! Got the tea on the shinigami?" Mello said.

"Yep, I'll explain everything when we're all done with lunch. We can jump straight back into work then" you replied.

"Is that Dionysus wine?" Matt asked.

"Yeah he insisted I take some. Really alcoholic, and an aphrodisiac so don't go overboard. Where's L?"

"Making some sickly sweet concoction for lunch. Why, you wanna give him some of that aphrodisiac already?"

You rolled your eyes, listening to them giggle like immature school boys.

"I'd like to see you get laid" you teased.

"I COULD! I just don't want to right now" Matt snapped back.

"Yeah right... you'd need to get off your switch for that" Near teased.

"Shut up"

You left them to bicker, and went to find L in the kitchen where he was making the worlds sweetest fruit salad.

"Hey, got all the information available. I'll explain everything to all of you after lunch but long story short the shinigami is called Sidoh and he was still in the realm recently" you said, proceeding to place a kiss on his cheek.

"Well... at least it's something. Dionysus wine?" He replied, returning the kiss.

"Yep. Crazy alcoholic, but very sweet and an aphrodisiac so don't go too crazy"

Aphrodisiac hey... interesting...

"I'll keep that in mind" he said, taking a strawberry from his bowl and offering it to you.

You took it from him into your mouth, giving him an amused look.

"Already giving me offerings huh?" You replied.

"You're my deity, of course I'd give you offerings"

You placed the bottle on the counter, by the shelf of wine glasses for later on. Taking one of the cherries from the fruit salad, you took one side and offered him the other, which he gladly took.

"Patience my dear" you said.

"But sweet wine is always such a delicious aphrodisiac, not as delicious as you but still..." L replied.

"Keep it in your robes honey, at least for now"
