Chapter 1: Ore Empire and Nether
When one waits, you have much time to plan. Such is the case with being imprisoned in ones on creation. The Nether, a hellish place that only the bravest of brave dared to venture into. However, many were quick to find that there were more barriers then in the Overworld. A wall of bedrock all around the place wherever they ended up.
Speculations suggested that it was created in order to keep people in an area. Suggesting that the Nether was bigger then what it came off as, areas that these people entered were walled off from each other for some reason. One could only guess that perhaps it was created in order to keep people from venturing too far.
Fools had no idea that it was meant to keep something out.
After losing to his brother, Herobrine, God of Darkness, Nether, and Fire, was banished to his hellish creation called The Nether. He created it to be the parallel to The Aether, one could only guess out of jealousy of the beauty his brother created where as he could only create nightmare fuel things. Never the less, the creation of these walls wasn't meant to keep these minecraftians in but rather to keep Herobrine's empire divided and from he himself being released.
What many saw as fortresses overrun by mobs used to be fortresses of strength and power, too an army that could rival that of the Overworld. Now, they were left in shambles of their former glory, with there king imprisoned in his own castle with no portal to ever open for him.
There, he laid in wait, plotting and planning as the seal slowly broke down.
In the time Herobrine was imprisoned, Notch created a double lock and key to keep his brother from ever leaving. A seal of old magic and a key to the Gates of the Nether. Needless to say, Notch thought this plan to be long lasting.
But as the years of magic rose and fell, many had forgotten the old ways. Some even took to hunting down magic users are they were thought to be abominations to the light. This was only the first of the darkness that slipped by.
When the people forgot about old magic, the cracks in the seal began to show. Slowly, and surely this allowed for Herobrine's darkness to creep back into the world and infect those of weakness and showed tinges of evil in their hearts. Growing and feeding these hate until they became wicked of soul and vile of heart.
These people became known as 'Wicked' a term established to describe those who did evil things for gain or pleasure. Thus slowly, the peace of the second era came to an end when the kingdom of Squids over took the world and those of magic were turned wicked or killed for being abominations by the 'Followers of Notch'.
History was lost to the people, burned away by the Squids in order to make these rule seem just. Even after their fall from power did sorcerers come back into the light. With the old ways slowly dying out, albeit not at a rate Herobrine wanted, it was still enough for him to watch with glee as the seal around his castle crack and break more and more as the years passed.
As for the second seal, a person had to becoming a key to the gates of Nether in order to keep Herobrine in. Yes, Notch thought his choice to be a good idea at the time. But not until he watched as the 'Key' was dragged down by Herobrine into the prison with him.
Speaking of which, Herobrine got up for his musing as he walked down the hall to a small room. The jingle of keys were heard as the clack of the lock filled the silence of the room. There was a small whimper as Herobrine chuckled walking into the low lit room to the bed in the corner.
On it lay a boy that how similarities to him, his dull white eyes gazed away from the others as there was fresh blood on the floor. "Noah?" a deep voice from Herobrine rumbled, "Have you been hurting yourself again?" he asked with an amused tone. He already knew the answer to that, of course his son had been hurting himself. Pain was Noah's only anchor to reality it seemed after he was trapped her.
"You know," Herobrine said in a tone that would have seemed caring for one who didn't know how long Noah had been here, "I could help you, if you'd only let me." A simple promise it might seem, the same temptation Noah had faced for the years he has been in his hell hole. When it became apparent his father was hellbent on getting out and that he'd go as far as to hurt or manipulate him, Noah tried to hold onto the fact he was human. This meant by hurting himself when he started to go numb it'd keep reminding him he was half human. It kept him from giving into his father for over 400 years, honestly Noah had lost count after that. All he knew is that by seeing his own blood and feeling the pain, it kept reminding him he was still human.
It happened to the strong and weak after a few days in the Nether. It slowly drives you mad, you start to hallucinate and slowly it suck the humanity out of you. For Noah, this meant if he didn't hold on, he'd become like his father. Cruel and cold.
He said nothing, he still felt numb even after jabbing a shard of glass into his shoulder. Yet, he could still feel the fingers of his father run through his matted hair. "You will see things my way eventually, Noah." Herobrine's voice held promise to this statement, it made Noah feel sick. "Then, we can get you cleaned up and healed. A better place to stay in and a better life. You won't be alone again."
That last statement hit Noah hard, for years he had been stuck in this poorly lit room. Only his father came to talk to him. He held onto the last words his uncle spoke to him, trying to remember his voice, that calming tone that held true caring for his family in it. It was better then the sickly sweet and rumbling tone of his father, but it too was slowly fading away.
"Think about it." he heard his father say as the feeling of fingers on his head left leaving him with only the sensation of them being there, "I'll be back in two days."
Noah almost wanted to beg for Herobrine to not leave in him the dark again. But, if he did it's only give his father time to turn him wicked like he did to his two generals. He often used this simpering tone of his to trick even the smartest of people into following him and/or doing his dirty work. The 'Silver Tongue of a Brine' was what many in the old days called it. As it seemed only a Brine had the ability to con they way into anything or having someone do anything for them.
Noah watched as the door that let in more light slowly closed leaving him in the dark again. He shifted a bit to where he was hugging his pillow. Then slowly he began to cry, he didn't know how much more he could take of this.
Herobrine knew all to well that his son was at the end of his rope. That was what he was counting on, and had no doubt that by the time the seal fell, Noah too would have fallen.

In the Overworld things seemed to be coming to an era of peace again. Under the rule of Adam Skylen, the ore kingdoms formed the Ore Empire. It seemed that Adam had accomplished what he set out to do.
Under his rule people were happy, everyone was equal. Represented by his friends from kingdoms near by and from his own, the people now had a voice.
As soon as Adam over took the kingdom after his fathers death. The changes began. He took too learning about those of lower class through his friends Ian and Ethan. Without his father's supporters there to hold him back, Adam started the reform movement. Many were shocked by this, mostly of higher class. Some demanded that their king stop this 'tyrant' and stop letting those of 'Negative Cash Flow' from entering his domain of rain.
Adam, however, was stubborn. Slowly, things did get better, the death rate went down, birth rate was at a moderate rate, and the kingdom was flourishing. The rich saw this as a means that their time to rule was being threaten, some joined with Adam and found life to be rather enjoyable. But stanch supporters of his father either fled or slunk into the shadows where they were picked off one by one for plotting to kill the king.
It was a rough five years. But, by the end of it many saw what good it did. The end was when the treaty of the Ore Empire was signed. Having brought together for a meeting to keep boundaries. Adam sucked up the courage to propose a new treaty to the leaders.
For the years his father tried to bully the other kingdoms into giving into him through politics. Adam, proclaimed he wanted no land nor gold, but rather peace. For the war between them to be other and for them to be used to help people as the ores of the overworld did for minecraftians. Having only the goal in mind that with this empire being forged, the kings would meet at the end of each year to discuss matters in their king to be dealt with and to share good news as well.
Each king kept their kingdom and they would share the wealth.
Many opposed this idea as generals on either side saw it as a means to control the other. Through much debate, the treaty was signed. And the year that followed was one of the best these kingdoms had seen in a long time. It was as if Notch was smiling down upon this, and bonds of brotherhood and strength were formed.
By no means was it an easy year, things did go wrong, threats were thrown around. But by the end of it, we all were still human. Many had hoped and prayed that this was the next era a peace. With Adam being appointed near to High King, much to his claim he was not, and his generals leading those who hid away for years back into the light, this seemed like the thing the overworld needed after it's history of pain.
Yet, even with all the happiness in the world, no one ever noticed the small tremors in the world as the seal around evil slowly broke away bit by bit.

This was an overview of what is happening in the Nether and Overworld. Next chapter will be of more dialogue and interaction with Sky and his friends. I just had to get to where we can start before anything else and this was too long for an Intro so I made it the first chapter XD
As for why I did this story well, my two best friends on here Littlewolf65 and Bloxiegirl123 both did there own versions of Skybrine's story arch. Which I would recommend you read Powerful Trio by Bloxie and Brines by Littlewolf as they are both good books.
However, I wanted to see if I too could write a Skybrine story arch. After having a field attempt with Darker Side of Me, I decided to try this one. Which this one has a plot that I bothered to write out so I don't get writers block.
If you happen to see elements from there stories, I am trying to make this my own thing. However, there might be small references if you look hard enough. Even references to some of my other works.
So please enjoy reading!
As for the OC contest, said OC won't be used until much later in the story. He or She will be a boss our character will face. That said, I look forward to see these entries and what you all come up with.
Please share this story with friends, the more views I get the more likely I am to update seeing as I have a plot for this until past works.
Thank you again! ^_^
