Prologue

As I stood at the edge of the boat I finally saw a small sliver of green, land! Thank notch for that! I had been on this boat for absolutely ages and the sea sickness was horrid! At least I wasn't in the shack my parents called a house. My aunt Lomadia and uncle Xephos had sent me round trip tickets out of the isles of peace to the bright continent of tekkitopia. If you haven't guessed yet I'm from space, I look just like any other human, just like Xeph, but if I get frightened my eyes glow a strong electric blue. Unfortunately that was my only redeeming quality, I wasn't pretty or strong or gifted in any way even though most of my people are, this causes my parents to treat me like Cinderella, only I don't have a chance of a Prince Charming. As the boat rocked further to shore I pulled out the handy pocket guide to tekkitopia Lomadia had given me along with the tickets. I flipped through the book pretty pictures flashing by until I saw something interesting. It was a drawing of the outline of a man, he wore Victorian era clothing and a demonic grin on his face. My eyes flew quickly to the caption.

"God of chaos?" I whispered, eager to learn about the finely dressed god. I flipped to the index, finding the god section and trying to guess his name.

"Wisp? No! Gaia? No! Notch? No!!" I yelled frustratedly into the book.

"May I be of any assistance?" A man asked, putting his hand on my shoulder, his voice smooth as silk.

"Oh!" I exclaimed quietly as I turned around to see the man. He wore a long, brown trench coat with a matching fedora, his hair was a ginger gold color with hints of brown that highlighted his eyes. Then he smiled widely revealing a large gap in his teeth.

"Oh yes, would you happen to know the god of chaos' name?" I asked answering his question from earlier, I then earned another toothy grin from the man.

"His name is Ridgedog, but he prefers to be called Ridge." The man said, smirking as if he was keeping as secret. I then turned, bending down to grab my purse.

"Thank you!" I said turning around, but to my surprise the man had disappeared without a trace.

"Ah, well." I said, tucking the book into my purse and looking of the edge of the boat. Then I saw the ship dock and realized, I was there, in Tekkitopia!
