Framed? ~ 19
It's the third day of confinement now, and you're getting kinda sick of this. L is watching the cameras, and Misa starts talking.
"Hey, Mister, I really wanna take a bath. I'm pretty sure you already know where I live, don't you? Could you bring me some clean clothes?" Misa asks, all hope had left her voice. "I didn't think this could get any more bizarre." Aizawa said. "I feel so sorry for the Chief right now." Matsuda agreed.
"Ryuzaki, talk to me. What's happening? Have any new criminals been identified? Anyone that Kira would be likely to target. If so, has he killed any of them?" Light asked. Ryuzaki pressed the button to turn the microphone on, "In fact, quite a few criminals' names have been broadcast recently, but since you've been detained, we haven't had one report of a criminal being killed by Kira."
"Wait, no one's been killed? Really" Light asked, looking into the camera. "Yes." Ryuzaki confirmed. "I see. So, it's only a matter of time before I'm convicted as Kira." Light looked down, a smirk on his face. "What I would give for an apple." Ryuk groaned.
With you, you were sitting on the bed, thinking of how wonderful it was when you weren't on Earth, yes, it was work to keep everyone safe, but you quite enjoyed when you got to play with the young deities, and make shapes in the clouds, and oh how you loved those naps, in the soft clouds. You felt dirty, being stuck in a room, with people watching you at all times. Disgusting. You even considered using some of your abilities to just get out of this place, but, you didn't. Oh how you wanted to kill L, and Light as well, screw it, anyone who caused this major inconvenience should be punished. If anyone knew what power you held over everyone, this wouldn't have happened. You could feel yourself start to lose your mind in there, you tried to pull through, but you knew Light was planning to forfeit the Death Note, and all it's memories. Leaving everything, to you. Oh, how I hate Light.
With L, he was in deep thought on why the deaths were not continuing, he thought that the deaths would continue, further proving that Light isn't Kira. But that just wasn't the case.
———————— DAY 5 ——————————-
It was the fifth day in confinement, and Ryuk was freaking out, since he hadn't had any apples for days. "I can't take this anymore. If I don't get an apple soon, I don't know..." he started grunting in discomfort, while Light was talking to himself, or L, per say. "In the end, I just have to get through this. No matter what."
And with Misa. "You know what, Mr. Stalker, your video won't sell if it's just me sitting here the whole time."
Mr. Yagami, was sitting in a folding chair, his head back, overall looking like a mess. "Mr. Yagami looks pretty bad. I think he's taking this harder then the three suspects." Ryuzaki said. "Well what do you expect? It's been five days since Light was put in prison, and look, not a single criminal whose name has been broadcast was killed. In these situations, I think the parents must suffer a lot more than the accused." Matsuda said. "No kidding. Especially now that we're seeing proof that Light is Kira." Aizawa agreed.
Ryuzaki turned on the microphone to Mr. Yagamis cell. "Mr. Yagami." He said. Mr. Yagami instantly sat up, looking up at the camera. "What is it? Is it good news? Is it bad news?" He shouted. "No, I wanted to tell you not to worry so much. It doesn't matter how much time you devote to worrying about this. The outcome will be the same. This could go on for quite some time. Perhaps you should rest in a more comfortable place." Ryuzaki said, monotonously. Mr. Yagami stood up, pushing his chair to the ground. "Impossible! What makes you think I care where I am? It won't change anything. With the state I'm in now, this is the best place for me. And no matter what the results-" he grabs the camera, shouting into it "-when I leave here, it's going to be with my son."
"I understand." Ryuzaki mutters, wide-eyed.
————————— DAY 7 —————————-
A gloomy day outside, raining. Your sanity was diminishing, almost gone. You sat quietly in a corner, wide-eyed, pale, staring at a wall. You hadn't eaten in two days, and you were starting to lose weight. Ryuzaki pressed the microphone to your room. "Y/n, are you feeling alright?" Your eyes snapped to the camera. "Am I alright.. AM I ALRIGHT?!" You shouted. "I HAVE BEEN STUCK HERE FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG, AND YOURE ASKING ME IF IM ALRIGHT?!" Ryuzaki flinches. "You haven't been eating." He mutters. "OH REALLY?! I HAD NO CLUE. When I get out of here, you don't want to know what I'm going to do to you, oh wait, I'll tell you. I'm going to fucking skin you, and hang you from a tree, you bastard. When I get out of here, you better fucking run. I hope you regret putting me in this SHITHOLE. I don't care how much protection you have, I'll find a way to hurt you so bad, you'll be begging me for forgiveness. Now fuck off." You look back at the wall, an enraged expression on your face. "Tch.. are you alright.." you mutter.
The task force stood, dumbfounded. "Well that certainly was unexpected.." Aizawa said. Ryuzaki sat, wide-eyed, a feeling of regret in the pit of his stomach, was this the right decision?
While that happened, Light was sitting in his cell, looking at the floor. "Light, you've only been here for one week, but I'm sure it can't be easy. Are you feeling alright?" Ryuzaki asked. "Yeah, I know I must look pretty bad in here, but this useless pride, I suppose I'll have to.. get rid of it." In an instant, Ryuk shot up. He grunts, standing up. "Got it." He walks through a wall, "Later." He leaves. Light becomes wide eyed, looks around, then at the camera. Ryuzaki hums in confusion, noticing the change. "Ryuzaki. I realize that I was the one pushing for confinement, and that I asked you to put me in here, but I just realized something important. This whole thing is completely pointless, because I'm not Kira!" Light exclaims. "You have to get me out out here!" He shouts.
"Hm.. I can't do that. I promised you that no matter what you said, I wouldn't let you out, until I was convinced that you are not Kira." L says. "Please, L. I wasn't thinking clearly. D-do you really think a serial killer like Kira.. could commit those crimes without being aware of them? I-if I have no memory of his crimes, I'm not him!" Light yells, starting to sweat. "I have never been able to accept this idea that Kira had been acting without self-awareness all this time. But that doesn't change the fact that all the evidence points to you being Kira. Since we imprisoned you, Kira hasn't committed a single murder." Ryuzaki reminds him. "Listen, just hear me out. I swear to you, Im not lying! You have to believe me. I'm not Kira! I-I must have been framed! That's the only explanation for this!" Light shouts. "You have to let me out! We're wasting time!"
"We can't let you out yet." Ryuzaki says, monotonously. "Damn, why is this happening?"
———————— FLASHBACK ———————-
Light was sitting at his desk, thinking of his plan. 'Okay, so I'll request to be put into confinement, and then forfeit the Death Note about a week or so in. But, what about Y/n? I haven't told her about the plan, and I don't think I'll have time to. No, she wouldn't reveal anything, would she? While Misa and I have no memory of the Death Note, she will.. she better not screw this up for me.."
—————— END OF FLASHBACK—————
"What the hell is going on? This isn't like Light at all. He's contradicting himself. It doesn't make any sense to me." Aizawa says. "Well we can't release him now that the murders have stopped. It doesn't matter what he says. I mean, even I know that much." Matsuda stated. "Anyway, I don't care what anyone says, as far as I'm concerned, we have all the proof we need. Light Yagami is Kira and that's the end of it." Aizawa crosses his arms, and Ryuzaki sighs.
DAY 15
Matsuda rushes in, bursting the door open. "W-whats going on?! I just heard, two weeks work of criminals were just murdered all at once! It happened yesterday!" Matsuda exclaims. "Yeah, Kira is back." Aizawa says, holding a newspaper. "So, did you guys already tell the Chief?" Matsuda asks. "No, not yet." Aizawa responded.
Matsuda ran to turn the microphone on, and yelled, "Guess what, Chief? Kira has started killing again?" He shouted. Mr. Yagami shot up. "What?!" He shouted "It looks like Kira was only resting. But now he's started punishing criminals again!"
"Is that true, Matsuda? Then.. that means my son.. I shouldn't be happy that people have been killed, but.. at least Lights name will finally be cleared. Wait, knowing Ryuzaki, this won't be enough to clear him." Mr Yagami utters. "We'll he's in the gray." Ryuzaki mumbles. "Did you hear what he just said, Chief?" Matsuda exclaimed. "Yeah, its a hell of a lot better than being completely guilty. Thank God." Mr. Yagami sighed. "I'm sure as grays go, he's a shade closer to being cleared! Let's tell Light!" Matsuda went to turn the microphone to Light cell on, but Ryuzaki smacked his hand away. "Matsuda! I mean, please don't, Mr. Matsuda."
"Matsuda?" Matsuda shuddered. "We shouldn't tell him about this." Ryuzaki said. "But... but why not?"
"Hello, Light?" Ryuzaki turned the microphone on. "What is it, Ryuzaki?" Light muttered. "You've been in here just over two weeks, and not a single new criminal has been punished. Now, why make this harder than it has to be? Are you ready to confess?" Ryuzaki asks. "Don't be ridiculous. I'm telling you, you're wrong. I understand why you feel that way, but even if the evidence does point to me, I swear to you this is a set up! I'm not Kira! Zoom in on me, if you want. Go ahead, look at my eyes! You tell me, do these look like the eyes of someone who's lying?" Light shouts.
"Hm.." Ryuzaki switches to your cell. "Y/n, it's been two weeks and still no criminals have been killed. Are you ready to admit you and Light are Kira?" You look up, slowly, and glare at the camera. "Go fuck yourself, L." You spit.
Ryuzaki sighs, switching to Misa, "Amane, are you ready to tell me who Kira is, or not?" Ryuzaki asks. "Huh? That again? I wish I knew, but I don't. Because, if I did, I'd thank him for punishing the burglar who killed my parents. To me, Kira is a hero." Misa replies. Ryuzaki hums, unsure what to do. 'I don't understand what's going on here.'
