HOGWARTS LIFE HAD come back in full swing as classes and outside activities were at their height. Athena had no intentions of wasting her last two years at her favorite place on the planet, seeing as she would be graduating soon. While things at the school remained normal, the outside world had a certain gloom to it. Dark wizards were becoming at large and Athena would be lying if she said she wasn't worried. Minerva wouldn't bring it up around her, but the girl knew of the impending war.

Instead of focusing on that, Athena Summer transferred all her energy and attention on receiving high marks in all her classes. Being friends with the brainiac Lily Evans certainly helped Athena stay focused. Although the back and forth between two of her best friends was never easy. Athena had no interest in being in the middle of James and Lily.

It was a fall morning when Athena found herself being rudely woken up from a peaceful sleep. The brunette didn't even need to open her eyes to know it was Lily.

"Wake up sleepy." Lily shook her again.

Athena was tempted to hex the girl, but decided that was too much energy and gave in.

"Coming." The girl groggily rubbed her eyes.

Athena got dressed quickly in her Gryffindor robes, but before she could do anything else she was being pulled down the stairs and out the portrait hole.

"Lily you're gonna break my arm if you don't slow down!" Athena laughed, but a little less jokingly than intended, her arm actually hurt.

"Maybe that will teach you to wake up" Lily looked at her rolling eyes and half-smiling.

The two girls walked into the Great Hall for breakfast, seeing the boys they walked over and sat down next to them, Lily a little bit reluctant.

"Nice hair Goddess." Sirius smirked trying not to laugh as he took a bite of bacon and inspected the rats nest that was Athena's hair.

The brunette rolled her eyes and swatted him.

"You can thank Lily for that." Athena brushed through it with her fingers the best she could.

"Oh please" Lily laughed grabbing some food.

After breakfast the 6th year Gryffindors had potions with Slughorn. Lily and James were partnered up together, which was much to the entertainment of Sirius and Athena who were also partnered up.

"Amortentia, Can any of you tell me what that is?" Slughorn held a vile of liquid up to the class.

Athena's hand shot into the air as she immediately recognized it.

"Yes, Miss Summers please tell us"

"It's the strongest love potion in existence" Athena nodded in slight awe of the vial, "It's powerful as hell."

"Correct! Would you do me the honor of coming and telling me what you smell?" Slughorn waved her up, she hesitated at first but walked up to the front of the room and took a whiff.

"Hmm I smell Lavender, Saltwater and ..."

Athena paused for a moment, slight confusion evident in her face as she tried to deceiver what the final smell was.

"Spit it out Miss Summers!" Slughorn was becoming impatient as the brunette attempted to figure it out.

"Well...Wet Dog" She laughed.

The whole class laughed along, it was an odd smell for a love potion. A few more students walked up to smell. James smelled Vanilla, Broom wood and Lily's shampoo (no surprise there). Remus smelled Mint, Bacon and tulips. Sirius was the last one up, he smelled Euphemia Potter's cookies, fresh cut grass and a perfume he claimed he didn't recognize.

After class the 6th years had a free period so Athena decided to go get something from the common room before her next class.

Athena was walking down the hallway towards the Fat Lady when she felt a hand wrap around her waist tightly and twirl her body into a broom closet.

She was prepared to scream out, she had taken a deep breath but the breath was seemingly sucked from her lungs as she felt soft warm lips against hers. Rough fingers ran through her long hair as she felt herself melt deeper into the kiss. To her own dismay, she slowly pulled away after a moment, leaving her lips tingling and her mind wanting more.

"Lumos."

The light spread across the room and Athena could finally see the grey eyes and signature smirk that was waiting for her.

"Goddess."

"Sirius." Athena smiled while she looked at him, her heart fluttering, "We could have been caught you know." She put her hand on his cheek and ran a finger along his hairline.

"Eh let'em catch us, they'll find out sooner or later" Sirius smiled warmly down at her and pressed a gentle kiss against her forehead, which made Athena's heart threaten to burst at that very moment.

The two had been together for a few months, but had been keeping it between themselves. They weren't sure what their friends reactions would be, and they certainly didn't want to ruin their own friendship. So it had been their little secret.

A few minutes past and both decided they had to leave, neither truly wanting to.

"Bye goddess." He picked up her hand from her side and kissed it.

Athena smiled and began to walk off, but couldn't resist calling him out, "And stop staring at my arse." She said as she continued to walk away.

Sirius laughed before turning the other way, "Isn't the first time, won't be the last!"
