(This chapter takes place during the end fight in chapter 13 of Nikke)

On the flat ground surrounded by nothing, there lied a motionless mech painted in white, blue, and red with an oddly shaped flower symbol on its shoulders. A crater had formed around being caused by the mech's fall.

[Initiating power up]

A humming sound can then be heard eminating from the mech as it's dual Ahab Reactors start to life.

[Status: Online]

The mech now known as Barbatos activates as it's eyes glowed a bright green, it then starts to stand up as the ground around it quakes.

Barbatos: Where... Am I?

Barbatos looked all around to see that he wasn't on Mars anymore.

Barbatos: Am I on Earth? Impossible.

*BOOM*

A large explosion then occurred which the Barbatos hears.

Barbatos: Ah? Is there a battle going on there?

*BOOM*

Barbatos: Then that is. Must make sure Gjallahorn doesn't snoop anything behind my back.

[Ahab Thruster: Functional]

Barbatos: Good.

Barbatos got in a stance as his thrusters activate.

Barbatos then flew at blistering speed, not even a race car can go that fast.

Scene Change

The battle with Modernia had ended, Counters had defeated her the Commander was about to end it all by aiming his gun at her head.

Modernia:... Are you going to shoot me?

History was repeating itself right in front of the Commander.

Commander: 'I didn't want this to end this way...'

Modernia: Haha.. I know you Commander. You can't shoot me. You couldn't shoot me then, and you can't shoot me now.

The Commander still pointed his gun at her, despite the past.

Modernia: You're a warm person. A kind person. 

He still pointed the gun at her despite what she said about him.

Modernia: Now. Put your gun down and come here and wrap my bandage.

Commander: I'll shoot you.

Modernia: Are you now? Do you know what will happen to me if you shoot me with that bullet?

Despite the taunt's from Modernia, the Commander knows that she was the Nikke who was with him from the start. 

Modernia: I could die. Are you prepared to kill me?

Commander: I'm saving you.

Modernia: Commander. Wait...!

*BANG*

Modernia's head jerks backward.

Commander: ...

Modernia then slowly bows her head forward to reveal she caught the bullet between her teeth.

Rapi: !!

Anis: !!

Commander: !!

She then spits out the bullet.

Modernia: ... You shot! You really shot! How... how could you do that to me? Commander!!

*STAB*

The Commander then feels a warm sensation in his stomach as he starts losing strength in his legs, he looks down to see that he was stabbed through the stomach by the tentacle and a clear puddle of blood on the ground, it was clearly a mortal wound.

Rapi: Commander!!

Anis: Ahhhh! Youuuu!!

Neon: No way!!

*Rat-tat-tat-tat*

Modernia: Tch... You're all trying to kill me. The Commander, and all of you! Forget it! I don't need you!

Modernia points her gun forward.

Anis: Damn it! Why don't you just die?!

Modernia: Bye.

Rapi: Code released. Temporary operation of sub generator. Secret body, activate.

[Recognition complete]
[Codename: Red Hood]
[Active]

Rapi's head then start's to glow red.

Modernia: ?!

Anis: Rapi!

Rapi grabs the tentacle embedded in her body.

*SNAP*

There is a loud crack as she snaps the tentacle in half.

Modernia: What is this strength...?

Rapi hurls the fragment of the torn tentacle with all of her strength, it flies in a straight line towards Modernia's face.

Modernia: Wha... Where is the sound? Beyond the speed of sound...?!

*CRASH*
*SHOOOSH*

Modernia: Urgh..!!

The fragments then smashes directly into Modernia's face, the protector that was covering the part of her face comes off. At the same time, a black light seeps out of Modernia's body.

Modernia: Ugh..! Ahhhhh..!!

Anis: The head is exposed!

Neon: Rapi! Now!

Rapi: Focus your fire! Aim for the head!

*Rat-tat-tat-tat*

Anis: Eat this-!!!!

Neon: Yeehah!

Modernia: Urgh...! Arghhhh-!!

An omnious light burst out like an explosion. The parts covering Modernia then fall to the ground, the parts then disappear as if being blown by the wind.

Rapi: Is she collapsing?

Anis: Now's our chance! Let's finish it!!

Neon: Anis! Wait!

Marian: Comman...der...?

Marian then looks towards him.

Marian: What?!

Commander: Marian?

*BOOM*
*CRASH*

Chatterbox all be it heavily damaged managed to get up and charge towards the Nikkes especially Marian

Chatterbox: GRRAAAAAHHH!!!

Anis: What the-?! It's still alive?!

Neon: Marian!

Commander: 'Damn it! All that effort for nothing?!'

*Hummm...*

Commander: 'Huh what's that humming noise?'

(Skip to 0:49 for the shot)

A tall mech burst through the smoke, it's right arm winded up for a punch and.

*PKKLAAANG*

It punches Chatterbox so hard the ground around the Nikkes quaked.

Anis: Woah... That thing can square up against a Tyrant class!

The punch also sent Chatterbox stumbling a few meters back.

Chatterbox: Gah! Who are you?!

???: Uh... Oh, Tekkadan Commando Unit leader...

The Nikkes were surprised to see the mech being able to communicate in a human manner.

Barbatos: Gundam Barbatos Lupus.

Chatterbox: Barbatos Lupus... Why don't you join us? And we shall destroy humanity once and for all!

Barbatos: Tempting.

A sub arm then lends Barbatos one of his melee weapons, it took the form of a sword mixed with a mace.

Barbatos: But I'll have to refuse on that offer.

Chatterbox: Then you shall die like the others!

Chatterbox then charges towards Barbatos as the Gundam did the same, closing the distance between each other Chatterbox went for a powerful right downward attack.

*SMASH*

But Barbatos had predicted it and dodged to the left as he winds up his sword mace and sending it to a downward strike.

*KRRRSSHLAAANNNGG* (Basically the sound effect when any melee weapon in IBO hit something)

Chatterbox's head was nothing more that a destroyed wreck, the Nikkes looked at the scene with terror since they haven't seen anything able going toe to toe with a tyrant class rapture.

Neon: Woah... That's one powerful sword.

Anis: Beats me.

As Barbatos lifts his sword mace up, Chatterbox's headless body fell to the ground. Turning around Barbatos looked at the Nikkes who were smaller than him.

Barbatos: You should check up on that guy.

Barbatos points towards the Commander, who was still bleeding from the stomach.

Marian: Commander!

Marian pried the tentacle off the Commanders stomach and stops the bleeding.

Rapi: We need to get him back to the Ark for treatment.

Rapi then looks up at Barbatos.

Rapi: I do not know who you are but I ask for your help. Please help us and our Commander.

Barbatos: As you wish.

The Gundam then kneels down and opens it's palm to let the Nikkes and their wounded Commander on.

Barbatos: Hold tight.

With that Barbatos utilizes his Ahab Thrusters to speed to where Rapi told him to go.
