Dawn was just about hiding from the mountains as the sun was already starting to set up in the sky. Link was quiet as you were too. After your little attack it was hard to say to Link what thought you were really feeling. Would he believe you or think you were a fake? He was already dealing with enough things... and it hasn't even been a week since your whole lives have changed.

Link suddenly tensed up and stopped Epona near the springs. You rose an eyebrow as he was searching around the springs. "Link what's wrong?"

"I can sense him."

"Sense who?"

"Him." Link motioned his head over to the side as you saw the golden wolf from before. The wolf got into an attack stance and lunged at him just as Link got his sword out.

You got into the white mixed haze too as you woke up once where you were before. It was painfully cold here in this afterlife like world as you stood up shakily to face the skeleton hero again.

"Do not worry both Link and you are here, just in a different place. Link is battling with my other half of my soul while I am here to talk to you with my other half."

"Okay... but what do you want to talk about?"

"When Link enters into the fire temple you will face a challenge of yourself."

"Huh?" You stated confused.

"I figure of evil will form from your shadow and challenge you if you are strong enough to continue onward with Link on his journey. You yourself have put this challenge onto yourself."

"Wait what?! I don't remember that at all!"

"You will in due time, for now you will wonder alone and clueless just like the other heroes have before."

"Ugh, that must suck."

"Only if you complete your quest it is always rewarding, but not for me."

"What do you mean?"

"I have been forgotten as my title as 'Hero of Time' from the knights of Hyrule... I only wished my legacy continued onward... Link is my descendant and I will teach him my sword moves as a way for me to bond with him more... I only wish I will be remembered more..."

"Oh... but don't worry! I'll always be remembered by the royal family!"

Huh? Where did that come out of? It seemed like it just came out of your mouth like a fact.

"I have on question to ask you... why did this happen to me? Why did you do this to me? I thought you would help me when I called onto you, but now I'm stuck in his world... why?"

His voice cracked deeply at the end as a shaky hollow choke came after it. "What am I doing.... you don't remember me at all... my name is, Shade... the forgotten hero of time, who saved all of Hyrule..."

"Shade... just because you're not remembered... doesn't mean you're not loved..."

The world of white started to disappear as Shade's one red eye seemed to stare into your soul...

You woke up to Link gently shaking you awake. "Hey are you alright?"

"Yeah.... just a bit... hazy."

"We can take a break at the springs if you want."

"That would be AHHH-"

You doubled over in pain as your mind felt like it was exploding with pain everywhere inside. All you saw was a bright light before it dimmed down. You were back in Kakariko Village again.

You looked down at yourself to see you were transparent and could barely see the outline of your arms. Talo and Beth were talking to each other just as the ground started to shake widely.

Out from the corner of the rock wall came the same monster who kidnapped the children. You gasped and when to grab from the children, but you just pasted right through them.

Talo already got out of the way, but Beth stood their staring at the monsters. You screamed at her to get out of the way, but nothing was happening.

Out of nowhere Colin pushed Beth out of the way and got trampled over the moblin You screamed in horror to see if he was okay, but everything when white again...

A jerk came through your body as you panted and started sweating everywhere. Link caught you in time before you fell to the ground.

"(y/n) what happened?! Why did you scream like that?!"

"T-The children! W-We can't waste any more time!"

"What do you mean? I thought the children were safe!"

"T-The monsters from before are coming to take them back! Link we have to hurry!"

"If you say so, go Epona!"

He dug his heel into Epona's side as she took off fast. The wind was cutting past your ears as you remember the vision looked like it took place during the evening... it was morning right now and at this full speed you could make it!

Link held you close at times when jumping over objects and it always made you blush when he did that. He just snaked around your waist as if he had done it a million times.

Kakariko Village came into view as a scream echoed through the walls. Link dug his heel into Epona's side one more time and to your gasp, you were right about the children.

Colin was tied to the moblin's flag pole, hanging unconscious. The head moblin spotted you guys and took off with his other minions. Link growled and dug Epona's side one more time. You yelped at the speed you were going at as the mobins headed out to Hyrule field.

"(y/n) get out your bow and shoot at the other moblins! When we're close enough I'll strike at the head moblin!"

"Right!"

You took out your bow and concentrated as an arrow appeared. Link got closer and close to the head moblin and started attacking at its backside.

The moblin howled in pain as the other minions started shooting at you two. You ducked your head as one of the flaming arrows almost got you. You shoot five of them down and had two of them ram into each other.

"Nice work! Try shooting at this guy's backside!"

You nodded and aimed at the moblins backside and started shooting. It was pretty hard since you were riding all over the place, but got it as Link took the chance and slashed at its back.

The moblin doubled over and almost fell off, but got its balance back and headed out onto the bridge. Link when after him, but soon got blocked off by a wall of fire by one of the minions.

You shoot it down as Link quickly and gently pushed you off. "Stay here and just shoot at him from here! I don't want you falling off!"

"But... alright I understand."

"Thank you, (y/n)."

He faced the moblin as it gave him a smirk. The moblin started galloping forward as Link did the same. He barley dogged the spear but got the monsters chest sliced.

You shot at its chest too as it hit its target, just as the moblin growled once it saw you and went charging towards you. Luckily Link was on your side and charged at the moblin while distracted and cut its neck open.

The moblin slumped forward lifeless as its hog broke the barrier keeping from others crossing over.

You smiled at Link's victory as he did a pose in the air with Epona, he raised up his sword skyward with Epona kicking her hooves in the air.

You shook your head and when to Colin where the rope got cut lose and dumped him there. When you held him he suddenly started turning blue, the cuts and rope ties around his body disappearing.

When Link came over the blue light disappeared. Link gently picked up Colin as you didn't say a word on the ride back...

Colin blinked awake as you smiled and brushed his hair out of his eyes. "Are you feeling better?"

"L-Link... (y/n)... did you save me?"

"We sure did." Link said with reassuring smile, "But you're the real hero today."

"Yeah! You saved me Colin! Thank you!" Beth said with happy eyes and another thing in them but you couldn't tell.

"I-it's fine Beth... Link... I know now what my father meant. It isn't about strength that makes you stronger... it's the bravery in your heart that makes you stronger..."

He raised his fist but into the air and brought it back down with a smile on his face. "Thank you Link and (y/n)... you taught me I can become... stronger..."

"Colin!" Beth cried out as Colin passed out.

Took him into his arms and stayed silence as Beth walked along. Malo came walking up and tugged on Link's hand.

"Come with me. I have a shop with stuff you can buy."

"Alright."

Link bought the Hylian Shield. It suited Link just perfectly as he equipped as his new shield.

"Do you want to stay the night?"

"No, we can't waste much time. Death Mountain and its people are counting on us."

Link nodded as a small smile spread on his face. "Then let's go already."

As you jogged along the path up you couldn't get your mind off what Shade said...
