Cecelia's POV

I didn't know how to feel it was all new to me I just didn't know what to say or do but Miranda the very girl who had protected me accepted me for who i am and asked me to be her lover and i said yes and i couldn't be happier.

I just wish it would last long

Before I could say yes to being her girlfriend she smelled something in the distance it smelled like smoke at first we thought it was a forest fire but when we looked up it turned out to be coming from somewhere else.

The city

I couldn't believe my eyes and nether could Miranda the city was up in flames and we were just sitting here looking at.

Then for what seemed like hours Miranda spoke "mom dad Cecelia we have to go back and help them they could be in danger!" she exclaimed.

I looked at her in shock "but if we go back there we could get hurt we need to run and get help!" I said panic noticeable in my voice I was scared for my grandparents but I was scared mostly for Miranda.

"We don't have any choice if we don't they could be hurt or worse we have to help them think about your grandparents what if there in the city right now!?"

I froze I forgot today was there anniversary and they we're going out for dinner she was right it would be selfish to just think of Miranda than my own grandparents.

"Your right it would be wrong for me to only help you and not them okay I'll help you Miranda but promise me when we find your parents and my grandparents we leave and start our new life."

She looked at me with the widest smile I ever seen and kissed me passionately "okay I promise" with that we ran to the city hoping that we could save our family.

The city Miranda's POV

me and Cecelia ran back into the city to find my parents and her grandparents as we got closer the flames got brighter and it was darker because of the ash in the air I held Cecelia's hand the whole time.

Once we reached the entrance what we saw was was horrible. There were bodies laying dead women men and children lined the streets blood flooded flowing like a river and down the drain it was like looking at a slaughter house.

I quickly shook that off and continued to search for my mom dad Cecelia's grandparents and any survivors we didn't know where we were going but we just kept moving.

When we got deeper into the city we spotted a woman who was hurt she looked to be in her mid thirties she looked to have a sprained ankle and tried desperately to move.

"Hey there miss are you okay" I said as I ran up to her Cecelia followed close as we helped the woman up she looked at us with her green eyes that had tears in them.

"What are you doing here you could be killed by those things this no place for young girls!!" She said in a panicked voice but we were more concerned about her than us.

"What happened here where's everyone" I asked her she could barely explain it though.

"They came out of nowhere and just started killing everyone and burning the city down there leaders said capture any woman and children and kill the men and anyone who fought back i was just coming back from the bakery when it all happened."

The lady looked scared as she talked it looked like she saw a demon "do you know who lead this attack?" Cecelia asked she looked at us before speaking again.

"Yes his name is- but before she could say anything else her throat was pierced by an arrow and we watched as blood splattered all over the ground.

We looked in shock and looked to see who did that as looked it appeared to a demon wearing armor and holding a Sword in his hand it had dried blood on it.

We looked terrified as looked at us and raised his sword ready to strike I stood in front of Cecelia with my arms spread out ready to take the blow. But before he could another sword blocked his attacked "no one shall harm the goddess under my watch" I looked to see my guardian Valencia standing strong and proud.

"Valencia thank you so much for saving us!" Said relived that she came just in time.

"No problem my goddess I shall hold them off head to the house your parents need your help go now!" She yelled.

Without thinking twice I grabbed Cecelia's hand and ran back to our house I knew plenty of shortcuts so we could get back there quicker I just hoped we weren't too late.

MIRANDA's house

When we got back to the house I found guards dead on the floor my house broken into thinking carefully I looked towards the windows to get a better look at what was happening inside.

Inside I saw my parents inside on there knees and in front was a man in armor with a sword in his hand ready to kill them both.

"Well mother,father I expected you to be happy seeing your son again after seventeen years not to put up a strong since hate for me but then again you both always had favorites everyone has a favorite something and you two are no exception."

My eyes widened was that who I think it was. couldn't be but why would he suddenly just appear now this man that was leading an army to kill my city was my older brother.

My thoughts were interrupted by my dad speaking "we had no favorites Caesar and you know it but what choice did we have you were going to use your power for evil you would have sent the world into war and chaos we had to not choose you"he said sternly.

"Lies all lies I was the one to be next in line for your power but when my little sister was born you knew you had someone to pick when I trained day and night when I came home sweating and covered in dirt but did that matter to you huh!? No it didn't but guess what this will be the last time you or anyone else makes a FOOL OF ME!!!"

His voice shook the whole room and in a flash he pulled out his axe and prepared to bring it down on my fathers head. but before he could something said for me to do the unthinkable and I ran into the house at full speed.

"No brother don't but he didn't listen and bought the axe down on flesh.

But not the flesh of my fathers neck but on my chest. I looked down to se the cut was deep but not deep enough to cut me in half blood was spilling out fast I was ready to pass out but before I could I heard a faint voice call out to me.

"Miranda!!" Was all I heard before everything went black.

Cecelia's pov

I watched as Cecelia ran to save her father and before I could blink her brother bought his down on her chest and she fell just like that.

I watched her lifeless body fall to ground I gasped and could feel tears falling down my cheek I ran to and held her in my arms as she was dying.

"Cecelia is that you?" I heard a voice behind me I turned to the murder of my love Then something snapped in me as if it was trying to get out I didn't know what what to do so I let it go.

My eyes turned redder than they usually were I felt an aura form around my as I let out a mighty roar and before I knew it I had ripped out the nearest guards heart and took his sword.

In a flash i killed almost every guard in the room till there was only one left the man who stared this he had his axe ready and I delivered the first blow.

He countered with a block and i kept landing blow after blow my moves getting faster each time to the point were he couldn't keep up and I saw my opening and thrust my sword into his stomach.

He seemed surprised and dropped his weapon but that didn't stop me I stabbed his chest then his back his sides everywhere I stabbed his at least twenty nine times until he was nothing but pile of meat lying dead on the ground before he died he said something that sent shivers down my spine "well done sweetie I'm proud of you" and he died.

After I felt my self turn back to normal I remember Miranda as I turned to her body again the tears building down my cheek I held her body In a tight hug and cried my eyes out.

"I love you Miranda I can't live without you, you were the only one who accepted me for who i am and protected me you showed me that not everyone is bad you showed me the one thing that I thought I never have love."

I cried hard until I heard a voice in running towards us I saw Valencia with blood on her armor and her sword in her hand "goddess is she all right what happened?"

I held her body tightly as Valencia saw her to she sat down with me and held her goddesses close to her I guess she just doesn't show emotion but I could tell she was grieving for her hard.

"There is a way to save her you know" I heard Miranda's mother say we turned to as she held something in her hand it was a pendent with a seal on it.

"This pendent has the ability to bring a god or goddess back to life or when they have life threatening injuries.

We looked at her with a small amount of hope that Miranda might live but she frowned and stared talking "but there's a price to it the body must be in a perfect resting place and this requires a sacrifice to use."

We both looked at each other and at Miranda's body we knew what we had to do i stood and looked at them both "I know the perfect place to put her to rest.

The lake

We arrived at the lake the atmosphere was tense and quiet but Miranda's parents said this was the perfect place but the only problem was who would be the sacrifice for the pendent.

Well the discussion was made I would be the one to do it I loved Miranda and my death meant that she would live on then so be it.

"I'm ready for this this is for Miranda and everything she's done for me" the parents looked at me with a look before the father came and said "thank you for doing this Cecelia we see now why she loved you and we went ahead and said no to this love we apologize for everything we did to you but just this alone is more than enough to give you our blessing.

I looked with tears in my eyes before I hugged them both they hugged back we pulled away and nodded my head to Valencia as she stepped up with her sword she gave me a look that said thank you for your brave sacrifice and she stabbed me with a her sword.

I felt my blood leaving my cut before I died with a smile on my face a uttered these last words before death came "I love you Miranda stay strong for me"

And with that my eyes closed for good

(A/N) hey guys really sorry for the slow update but as you know school is coming to an end so of course for some reason we have to do test and exams and everything thing else but my summer break starts next week so I'll be updating a lot so until next time
