When I was young I knew I was different I was girl born from a union of a god and goddess they both loved each other and when I was born they were overjoyed.

Me and my parents were all like best friends I have a brother but my mother and father won't let me talk to him or about him they said my brother became really bad and did bad things when he burned this village down.

I tried to forget about him but it's hard considering he's family I even tried asking some of the other gods and goddesses about him but they said in time I will know about him.

We were once a people of power over one of the most impressive cities in The world. people worshiped us and gave us offers and held celebrations and parties in our honor I loved everything about my past.

But if I'm being honest with my self I hardly if not ever enjoyed it the God's and goddesses were all so used to being worshipped but for me it was just to much for me to handle but the others insisted that i enjoy it because I'm a goddess I'm number one the more they said those things the more uncomfortable I felt.

Then when I was only fourteen everything changed for me. one day when I was supposed to be training in hand to hand combat I decided to skip it and travel the city even though I was still young and learning about my powers I had mastered the ability to turn human when I was only nine years old so it was easy for me to travel the city.

I decided to go to my favorite bakery for some sweets but as I was walking I saw a group of men who seemed to be shouting at something and and throwing rocks to when I got closer without them knowing I gasped and saw it a girl.

"What do you men think you're doing!?" I shouted in pure rage they should never do that to people especially females.

The men stopped and looked at me for a second then one with dirty blonde hair smirked "why don't you run along little girl this had nothing to do with you".

"Actually I think it does ether you leave her alone or I'll make you" I threaten.one man with short brunette hair looked at me and started to step closer and looks down at me.

"Well then sweetie if you don't want to leave then I guess we'll have to charge you for your time" he said and just as he was about to punch me i grabbed his fist.

"What no your suppose to take it didn't anybody tell you that?". I tried to hide my smile "sorry but let's just say I'm not like other girls around here" I replied and pulled him over my shoulder and slammed him on the ground.

Time froze as came to the other guys I punched one man in the stomach and dropped kicked him. Then ran to the next one and socked him hard in the ribs then kicked him hard in the face I think I even saw some of his teeth fly out. And the last one I decided to punch hard the nuts then proceeded to back kick him in the face.

When it was over all of them were groaning in pain not a bad job if i do say so myself i thought. Being a goddess has its perks like super speed and strength.

I was bought out of my thoughts when I heard sniffling I turned and saw the girl I completely forgot about her I quickly ran to check her for injuries. She had black hair that seemed to be covering her eyes.

"Hey are you alright?" I asked she didn't flinch nor look up from me "I just want to know if your hurt so I can take care of you I'm not going to hurt you I promise. She seemed to loosen up a bit and looked up at she had red eyes.

When I saw her eyes I swore I saw something flash before my eyes my heart racing I didn't know what it was but seeing her made me blush a lot.

"I'm fine thank you" I heard her say quietly which snapped me out of my trance I looked at and held my hand out "it's no problem it made me pissed when I saw them do that to you I'm Miranda by the way."

She took my hand as I pulled her "I'm Cecelia"

Three weeks later

It's been three weeks since I first met Cecelia her and I got a long just fine and I learned so much about her turns out she lives with her grandmother and grandfather she doesn't know much about her parents or what they look like.

I spent more time with her than I had my parents but it came at a price. My training schedule was mixed in with spending time with Cecelia so I often skipped it to hang out with her.

My parents caught on quickly and decided to ask why I was skipping training I told them I met someone and I was just spending time with them. My dad being the protector he is wanted to meet him (except he is actually a she.)

My mom said I should invite him over to dinner tomorrow night it scared me how would they react when it turns out my friend is a girl don't get me wrong they loved me and said no matter who I met or was in love with they would always love me but something just seemed off.

Somewhere in the forest

Me and Cecelia were at our spot near a lake it was beautiful in the summertime we often came here to relax and talk about what was happening.

"So uh there's something I want to tell you" I started I didn't know how to say I'm I shouldn't have any problem with this she's my friend but when ever I look at her I feel my heart speeding like I just got off a roller coaster.

"What is it Miranda?" She asked I took a deep breath it was now or never

"My parents want to meet you" I said she looked surprised but confused "why would they want to meet me?"

"Because lately I've been neglecting my training and they found out quick and they thought I was seeing someone so they wanted me to bring you over.

She looked kind of scared "but there's one problem I'm a commoner almost a peasant and rich and wealthy what will happen when they find out who i am they might think I'm just with you for your money and threaten me" she replied in a sad manner

I placed my hand on hers and looked her straight in the eyes "look no matter what happen I'll be there for you we will stay together forever even if it's been only a few weeks I feel like we've been friends for years I don't care what they think of you you're special to me and if being with you means disobeying my parents then so be it". I replied with each words being meaningful

She looked like she had tears in her eyes but she wiped them off and looked at me " okay tell them I'm coming over"

Tomorrow night

The night arrived faster than I thought my parents cooked and got and by that time Cecelia arrived.

"Honey we can't wait to meet you friend he must be wonderful" my mom said "agreed we never seen you more happy"

The door opened and in came Cecelia

"Hello my name is Cecelia it's nice to meet you both" she said very politely

My parents however didn't move they just stared at her like she was some strange beast it seemed to make her uncomfortable and it made me uncomfortable too.

Finally after like five minutes they spoke "those eyes it could not be"

"But I thought they shortly died"

"Well apparently one of them survived"

I decided to interrupt there conversation "hey what are you guys talking about"

"Miranda I think it's best if we postpone this dinner"
My father said I looked at him in disbelief postpone it seriously they seemed excited to meet her.

"But why you guys looked forward to meeting her"
I asked "it's complicated sweetie" my mother replied quickly complicated how I thought.

"How is it complicated and don't give another excuse I want they truth what's so complicated about this huh?!" I replied now furious with anger

Fine you want to know it's because she's your brothers daughter and your brother was and always will be a monster!!! They replied at the same time

I stood there in shock frozen still what is it true she couldn't be my brothers daughter but for some reason....I didn't care.

Cecelia on the other hand ran out the door before anyone knew I looked at them anger quickly building up again "I hope you two are really happy for your selves" I growled before running after Cecelia.

I searched for Cecelia in the forest I found her by the lake she looked deep in thought her knees were up to her chest I think she was still crying.

I sat beside her and pulled her into a hug she didn't seem fazed at all like she was just confused scared and a mix of other emotions can't say I blame her.

We sat for a good twenty minutes before she broke the silence " you hate me now don't know you think I'm a freak".

"Of course not what did I just say before you meat my parents I'll be by your side no matter what happens and I mean it yes I admit I'm still processing this but I don't who you are or who your parents are"

"But what you parents sai-" I cut her off "I don't care what they said you are the most important thing to me Cecelia your beautiful smart and above all kind"

"You mean it" she asked I nodded "more than anything Cecelia i love you" and with that I kissed her.

She wasn't surprised she kissed back and wrapped my hands around my neck to deepen the kiss and I wrapped my hands around her waist.

We had to break for air as we stared at each other eyes my blue mixing with her red "you mean what you said about me?

"With all my heart Cecelia you make my heart race when ever I'm with you I knew it was love but I was just looking for the right time to tell you"

"So will you be my girlfriend Miranda?" She asked blushing brightly red i only kissed her once more.

"Yes Cecelia I" i was cut off by the smell of something it smelled like smoke and seemed to be coming from one place.
