God of Study 2 

Description

It’s already been 5 years since the special class graduated. Now they all have their own life and careers to pursue. Pulip now owns a cafe, she runs it with the help of her mother, Bong Goo is now a veterinarian though his parent still runs their eatery, Chan Doo now have his own dance studio, he also joins several dance contest and won, Hyun Jung just recent back in Korea, she has been out of the country to study in the field of arts becoming a painter, and as for Baek hyun he is now working in a hospital in Seoul.

Na Hyun Jung

Recently come back to Korea after finish her studies on arts. She left Korea for 5 years. This is how she looks like now. She once used to have a major crush on Hwang Baek Hyun.

Hwang Baek Hyun

He didn’t leave Korea unlike Hyun Jung, he studied medicine and is now an accomplished doctor at the Seoul Hospital. He never took Hyun Jung’s liking on him serious, he always see Hyun Jung as an annoying tail that always follows him around. But soon realizes his own feelings.

Hong Chan Doo

Together with his friend, he enters the special class aiming for the Chuha University, but as times goes by he realized his own dreams and goals, he wants to be a dancer. His unrequited love is Kil Pulip, Hyun jung is his girl bestfriend. There’s nothing he can hide from her. For they were the same.

Gil Pul Ip

She doesn't have father and had problems with his mom who loves a married man. She studies very hard, and as a result, she entered the greatest university, Cheon Ha University. She is the subject of Chan Doo's affection

Oh Bong Goo

He was grown from the meat restaurant. His parents don't really care about his education. The actual reason that he joined the special class was to get rid of the bullying because of his appearance. Later, he enters Cheon Ha University. He is now a vetenerarian. 

Foreword

this is my first time writing a fanfic. since i really like God of Study i decided to make a fanfic about them years later. pardon me i made some mistake about the grammar or spelling. since this is not my native language. i appreciate all comments. even negative ones because i know i can learn alot from them, as long as it was not rude or really harsh one. thank you.

CHAP 1

Meeting by Fate

It’s already been 5 years since the special class graduated. Now they all have their own life and careers to pursue. Pulip now owns a cafe, she runs it with the help of her mother, Bong Goo is now a veterinarian though his parent still runs their eatery, Chan Doo now have his own dance studio, he also joins several dance contest and won, Hyun Jung just recent back in Korea, she has been out of the country to study in the field of arts becoming a painter, and as for Baek hyun he is now working in a hospital in Seoul.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She is at the airport. Now hyun jung is back. She really miss Korea it’s been 5 years since she left, she wonders how all her friends are,

HJ: *smiles* whoa! I really miss Korea….. I’m Back…..

She straightly went to her former house when she was still studying in Korea; she was too tired after the long hours of travel.

HJ: ahh…..it feels good to be home. *it was already night so she headed to her room and sleeps.*

            The next day, HJ jung woke up early since she did sleep early last night, she feels her stomach growling, since she just came back there’s no food in the house so she decided to go to the grocery. At the grocery she was pushing a cart she also decided to buy all the things needed in her house, she also need to do the cleaning.

HJ: hmmm…. I need this, this, and this…*she said while picking up the things she needed, as she was doing her shopping and pushing the cart she bumps onto someone’s cart* ooopppppsssss…..sorry I didn’t mean to *bows, as she turn her head up she couldn’t who she just saw.*

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He woke up early, he feels hungry but there’s no more food left on his fridge so he decided to go shopping.

BH: *he was standing in the fruit section when someone’s cart bumps his, he heard someone’s apologizing so he simply replies* it’s ok…… *he looked up to see who it was and to his surprised it no other than Hyun jung* Na hyun jung?

HJ: *she can’t believe who he just saw* Hwang Baek Hyun.

            There’s an awkward silence arises between them

HJ: *out of all people here in Korea, why it is have to be Baek hyun that I need to bump first thing in the morning? I don’t know what to say, (she thought to herself)*

BH: *it’s really Na hyun Jung, whoa! She hasn’t changed, though her hair is much longer now. But it’s been 5 years since the last time I saw her. I don’t know what to say (he thought to himself)*

            Then it was Hyun jung who break the silence.

HJ: it’s been a long time *smiles*

BH: yeah, it’s been almost 5 years since you left. So when did you come back?

HJ: is it just 5 years? It felt like forever. Haha….. *she laughs*

BH: haha, so when did you come back?

HJ: just last night. *looks at her wrist watch* ohh… I have to go now. Bye. *waves*

BH: ohh? Is that so? Bye then, *waves*

Chan Doo’s POV

            The renovating of his dance studio is now finished. He can’t believe that he has his own dance studio now, before it was just a dream, now it’s a reality.

CD: *smiles* whoa! I can’t believe it, I really my own studio. I wonder how the other is. I only have news about Bong Goo but what about the other?

 As he was walking on the street, he saw a very familiar face inside a cafe, he never taught that he would she her again.

CD: *wait… isn’t the Kil Pulip?* *smiles* *he decided to go inside the cafe*

PL: *bows* welcome sir *even though she is the owner she still helps in serving when there is many customers*

CD: *sits on the other table and covers his face with the menu*

PL: *approaches the new customer* may I take your order sir?

CD *laughs* what kind of menu is this? *he said trying to see what will Pulip’s reaction be*

PL: *she can’t believe what she just heard* if you don’t like the menu sir you can just leave.

CD: *laughs* Hahaha…. Kil Pulip, is that how you treat a customer?

PL: *surprised to see that the man knows her name and she even more shock to see who it was* Hong Chan Doo?

CD: *smiles & nods*

PL: Hong Chan Doo, how are you?

CD: im fine, im planning to open my dance studio.

PL: whoa! You have your own dance studio now? Congratulations.

CD: thanks, .oh. By the way are you going to the Cultural night of our School? They invited the whole special class; I wonder if they would also come, especially Hyun jung since she was outside of the country, any news about her?

PL: I don’t know if can come. Nope, I haven’t been in contact to her for years now, she just stopped replying to my messages. But I hope she’s ok.

CD: if you are coming, can we go together?

PL: ok.

Chap 2

Hyun Jung’ POV

            She received an email from the school principal and he was inviting her to attend the Cultural Night of the school since they are celebrating its foundation day. She really doesn’t know if she would go. Though she really missed others and wants to see them but thinking that she would meet Baek hyun there she is hesitating. She was now looking at Baek hyun’s portrait, the one she paint when she was still in high school, She left it there when she moved to US.

HJ: *I really don’t know how to face you normally like before. Should  I pretend like nothing happened?*

            But then she set aside the thought of Baek hyun for the sake of seeing others.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He also receives an invitation for the Cultural Night of the school.

BH: it’s the first time since 5 years, im going to see them again. I wonder if Hyun jung would also come.

Bong Goo’s POV

BG: oh? It’s a n invitation for the school’s Cultural Night… they invited all the special class from 5 years ago. It means im going to see them all again. I really miss them.

            After 3 days it’s about time for the cultural night. All of them decided to go. As Hyun jung arrives she saw a very familiar back. It was Oh Bong Goo. She was really happy to see him again.

HJ:*runs toward BG* Oh Bong Goo *smiles*

BG: Na hyun jung *smiles*

HJ: *holds BG’s hand and sways it* yah! Oh Bong Goo, I really miss you….

            Meanwhile CD and PL arrive together. They also see BH at the entrance.

BH: ohh? Hong Chan Doo

CD: Hwang Baek Hyun *smiles*

PL: Baek Hyun,

BH: Kil Pulip, how are you? Haven’t seen you for 5 years..

PL: im good, im running a café now.

BH: really? That’s great, I’ll pass by sometime.

            After that they decided to go in together to see Bong Goo and Hyun Jung together, Hyun Jung is happily swaying the hands of BG.

PL: *runs towards them* Na Hyun Jung

HJ: *looks back to see who it was* Kil Pulip. *upon seeing Pulip she quickly hugs her* I really miss you my bestfriend

PL: *surprised by the hug, but then also hugs her* I miss you too…

            Then Chan Doo also walks towards them and greet Bong goo and Hyun Jung

CD: ahem, ahem*he tries to make them notice him, it seems the both of them completely forget about them*

            Then HJ releases PL and saw CD standing behind her.

HJ: Hong Chan Doo!! *she was about to hug CD then she back off, confusing them*

CD: what’s with that?? *he asked curiously*

HJ: are you really Hong Chan Doo?

CD: *confused* yes, why?

HJ: if so then why are you so formal tonight?

CD: so do you expect to come here wearing my normal clothes?

HJ: *smiles*

CD: Yah! Na Hyun Jung, what do you take me for? *pretends to walk away*

HJ: *laughs* haha…. I was just teasing you silly; you look good on your tie.

CD: *smiles* is that what you do to a person you saw after 5 years?

HJ: *pouts* hehe.. Don’t be mad, of course I also miss you, you’re my singing buddy.

            Baek hyun who is watching the scene was thinking.

BH: *wah, what’s with that? She was so happy to see others, but when she saw me last week her face was totally blank.*

CD: ohh, Baek hyun also comes.

BH: hi.

HJ: *smiles* hello

CD: yah! What’s with that? You don’t seem to be surprised to see each other again after 5 years?....wait don’t tell me you already met already?

HJ: ohh…. I wasn’t really on purpose. I just saw him at the grocery last week that’s all.

BH: *why is she so defensive?* yeah, I just happen to bump onto her.

HJ: *I need to say it because I know you don’t want them to misunderstand, especially when Pulip is here*

            Then they all went inside the hall. The event was about to start.

It’s already past midnight when the party ended. BG leave early so the 4 of them are only left. At the parking lot.

HJ: so? I need to go now. I’m really glad to see you all again. Bye… *hugs PL, and gives CD a tap on the shoulder since he was just beside PL, and waves at BH*

PL: wait… Hyun jung-ah, where are you going?

HJ: Home of course *she joked* haha….

PL: I know that. But you didn’t bring a car.

HJ: don’t worry I’ll take a taxi. Bye.

PL: *what taxi?* WAIT! Hyun jung.

HJ: what?

PL: it’s already late. And it’s dangerous to take a taxi. *then suddenly comes up with an idea* *looks at BH* yah, Hwang Baek Hyun, you have a car right?

BH: yes.

PL: *smiles* good. Take HJ with you.

HJ/BH: *in chorus* what?

PL: I said take HJ with you, don’t tell me you want her to ride a taxi? It’s dangerous.

BH: ok, ok, if HJ is ok with that.

HJ: *you really can’t say no with PL* ok…..

            Then HJ go with BH and PL with CD. On their way.

BH: so where are we going?

HJ: ohh. Just drop me off to the grocery where we first met. My house is near there.

BH: ok.

            They are almost half of their way and still they are not talking to each other. Then it was BH who break it.

BH: aren’t you cold? Want me to turn on the heater?

HJ: ohh?? No thanks. I’m ok. *silence* hmm… how was grandma?

BH: she ok, she is now leaving with a friend in our home town.

HJ: ohh… just say hello to her for me, though I know she wouldn’t remember me.

BH: why do think that she wouldn’t remember you?

HJ: well, it’s because she didn’t really like me before so maybe she won’t remember me…

BH: *smiles* she does like you,

HJ: *laughs* sure, that’s why she always scares me before.

BH: she only did that because she likes teasing you, she loves to see your scared reaction.

HJ: ohh? We’re here. *step out of the car* thanks. Bye

            Meanwhile CD and PL are also on their way home.

PL: wah, it’s the first time I see HJ again after 5 years. I’m really happy that she came.

CD: *smiles* you’re really close with HJ, I know that she also misses you.

PL: of course she is my bestfriend.

            After that they all went home same. The next morning.

Chan Doo’s POV

            As he was cleaning his drawer, he saw an envelope and open it. It was a coupon from the last dance contest that he joined, he won first place on that and also won that coupon. It was coupon for free accommodation at a famous beach resort and it’s good for 5 people which mean he can also invite the rest. Its going to end soon if he didn’t use it. He first called BG to ask him to come, and said yes, then next is BH, he says he’d come if the rest would also go. So now there’s only 2 left, PL and HJ, he called PL first.

CD: *on the phone* hello.

PL: *answers her phone* hello?

CD: PL-ah, it me CD,

PL: ohh.. CD, why did you call?

CD: hmmmm… I just want to ask if you are free this weekend.

PL: this weekend? Why?

CD: yes, cause I have a free coupon from the contest last time it’s for a beach outing, I asked the others and say yes. How about you? Can you come?

PL: *thinks* ohh…. There’s a lot of people in the café during weekends if I go no one would manage it, since mom is not home, she’ll be staying at a friend’s house for a week.

CD: *sad* so it means you can’t come?

PL: *guilty* sorry, CD-ah.

CD: it’s ok. 

CD is really sad that he didn’t convince PL to come, there’s only one person left to call its Na Hyun jung.

CD: *right!!! HJ might be able to convince PL to come*

HJ: *phone rings* hello?

CD: HJ-ah its CD.

HJ: ohh… CD why did you call?

CD: just want to ask if you are free this weekend?

HJ: yes, why?

CD: cause I have a coupon for beach outing, can you come?

HJ: *gets excited upon hearing the beach* beach? I really love beach. I’ll go. Is everyone coming?

CD: ohh…. I tried to call them, but PL said she can’t come because no one will look for the café.

HJ: what? PL is not coming? That can’t be. Wait I’ll call her right away.

CD: are you sure you can convince her?

HJ: just trust me ok? Think of it as my payment for the beach outing.

CD: *laughs* haha… sure… you’re still the best HJ.

            Then after their phone call she immediately calls PL.

PL: *phones ring* CD I told you I can’t come. I’m really sorry.

HJ: it’s me Na hyun Jung

PL: *surprised to hear HJ’s voice and look to her phone to see HJ’s number* ohh… HJ-ah, sorry, why did you call?

HJ: *in her sweet voice* we’re friends right?

PL: *confused* yes.

HJ: then can you do me a favor?

PL: sure, anything, what is it?

HJ: *her plan works, who could resist her, when she started to talk like that. haha* really? Then can you come with me this weekend? Pls??

PL: ok, ok, can I even say no to my bestfriend.

HJ: yes! Thanks PL-ah,

            Now all of them agreed to come, they are all meeting in front of the school gate. It was the guys who first arrived. It’s early morning, since they need to drive a bit longer they need to go early. Then Hyun jung arrived now the only one that is not there is PL.

CD: *he didn’t see PL, he thought she’s with HJ, so he walks toward HJ to ask* HJ-ah, where’s PL? you didn’t convince her to come?

HJ: *smiles* be patient my friend, she on her way here, I just texted her.

CD: *happy to know that PL is also coming* really? Thanks HJ-ah.

HJ: welcome, now, won’t you help me carry this? *pointing on her big bag,*

CD: *laughs* yah! Why is your bag so big? Did you bring your home there? *he joked*

HJ: *smiles* nope, I only bring those that are important.

CD: haha, you’re still the same Na Hyun jung I know from 5 years ago.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            They were waiting for PL and HJ. Then it was HJ that first arrived. He smiled to himself seeing HJ carrying a huge bag, as always she would too many staff with her he thought to himself then he decided to help her when CD suddenly walks towards HJ so he just decided not to go to them and wait there.

BH: *what are they talking about anyway? They look to happy, Hong Chan Doo I thought it was PL that you like? Then why are being so close to HJ these days? (That was he thought as he was watching the both of them walks toward him and BG*

            Then a few minutes later PL also arrives at their meeting place. Now that everyone is there, they are ready to go. They will be going by CD’s car.

HJ: I’ll be on the passenger’s seat, PL you seat at the driver’s seat. CD will drive for us.

PL: ok.

            They will reach their destination by 2hrs of driving. HJ is seating on the Passenger’s seat, between BG and BH. She feels sleepy since she woke up early, and she decided to take a nap since it’s a 2hr driving.

HJ: BG-ah *she calls BG in a light voice*

BG: ohh??

HJ: can I borrow your shoulder?

BG: *confused* huh? *then looks at BH*

HJ: thank you. *puts her head on BG’s shoulder before he even say yes*

BH: *what’s with HJ seriously? Before she would always cling on my arms and now she’s ignoring me and sleeping on BG’s shoulder*

CHAP 5 Memories from 5 years ago

As they reach the beach, the caretaker assist them to a house they gonna stay for the weekend. They checked it. It has 2 rooms, PL an HJ are roommates as well as the guys.

PL: *excited* HJ-ah, let’s go look around. It’s really nice here. *hold HJ’s arm*

HJ: *she just woke up from her sleep and yet still sleepy.* oh?? I’m still sleepy. Can’t we go later?

PL: *smiles* but you already sleep the time we were on the car.. Come on let’s go…huh..Huh??

            BH seeing that HJ is still tired decided to interrupt them.

BH: *she seems tired (HJ)* PL let HJ take a rest for a while; she didn’t sleep well in the car. I’ll accompany you instead.

PL: *hearing BH’s explanation let HJ go to the room to rest* ok…. HJ, are you sure you don’t want to come?

HJ: oh…

            Then BH and PL left the house. While BG and CD also went for a walk.

HJ: *he seems too excited to be with PL*

            HJ rested for an hour, when she went of the house nobody is there, she was kinda hungry since she hadn’t eaten anything since she left her house. So went out look for something to eat.

Hyun Jung’s POV

HJ: I’m hungry, I wonder if there is a nearby market here.

            She then leaves the house and ask someone for a direction to the market. As she was walking on the flea market she heard a familiar voice.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He and Pulip are walking on the flea market when he saw strawberries.

BH: *calls at PL who was ahead of him* PL, wait. There are strawberries here, didn’t you like strawberries before?

PL: *looks back* ohh…

BH: should we buy some?

PL: sure. Let’s buy one for HJ too.

BH: does she also like strawberry?

PL: I really don’t know. You should be the one to know that.

BH: *confused* me? Why me?

PL: *laughs* haha, because you’re her husband (seobang) *she joked*

BH: *laughs* haha. But you’re her bestfriend.

PL: ohh.. You have a point there. Then I’m a bad bestfriend.

BH/PL: *they both laugh*

Hyun Jung’ POV

            As she was walking she heard a familiar voice and sound of laughing, when she look for it, she saw BH and PL together, they were both laughing. Seeing them together brings back the old memories. The memories she tried to buried. It was the day when she was with BH and he left her on the mall. But she sees him laughing with PL, it is a fact that BH never really laugh with her, not the way he does with PL. seeing that kind of scene again really hurts her. So she decided to just walk away before they notice her.

HJ: *holding her tears back* no, I can’t cry. I’m not the same HJ before.

Baek Hyun’s POV

PL: let’s also buy something for lunch. I bet they would be hungry by now.

BH: yeah,

PL: let’s go.

            Then after they finish buying all that they need, they went back straight to the house.

PL: we’re home.

BH: I think no one is here.

PL: oh… let me take a look at HJ. *goes to their room*

            BH brings the food to the kitchen and went out on the living room again.

PL: HJ is also not here.

BH: maybe she woke up and decided to take a walk. Don’t worry, they’ll be back soon.

            Then BG went inside the house.

PL/BH: *looks at the door* Bong goo.

BG: oh… you’re back.

PL: is CD with you? *she asked*

BH: have you seen HJ?? *he also asked*

BG: no. CD and I were together earlier, but he suddenly disappeared so I thought he went first. But isn’t HJ sleeping in your room, PL?

PL: no, I think she also went out.

BH: let’s just wait for them and prepare the food.

CHAP 6 Once you loved, you never stop.

Hyun jung walks away to the market to be ended near the ocean. She saw CD there seating on the sand so she decided to walk towards him.

HJ: what are you doing here? *she asked CD*

CD: *looks up* ohh… you’re awake now.

HJ: yeah.

CD: looking for BH?

HJ: no.

CD: really?

HJ: you don’t believe me?

CD: *smiles* I didn’t mean it like that. Why don’t you seat?

HJ: *sits beside CD* whoa!.... I really miss going to the beach.

CD: HJ-ah,

HJ: ohh??

CD: can I ask you something?

HJ: *change her seating position and seat behind CD leaning her back on his.* ahh… your back is really warm

CD: really?? Better than BH’s back? ,*he jokingly said.*

HJ: *without hesitant she answered* of course his back is much warmer. Haha…

CD: *smiles* how mean,

HJ: what is it again that you are going to ask?

CD: ohh? That. Nothing, I already know the answer, anyway

HJ: how can you know? I haven’t even answered you yet? So how can you be sure it’s correct?

CD: you really want me to ask?

HJ: *getting more curious of the question* yah! Hong Chan Doo. What is it really all about? You’re making me curious,

CD: *smiles* hmm…. Do you still love BH?

HJ: *surprised by the question but answers it anyway* you know what, CD. There is a reality that states, once you’ve loved someone, you never stop loving him, it may be more or less, but YOU NEVER STOP.

CD: I guess you are right.

HJ: what about you? Did you already told PL about your feelings?

CD: no.

HJ: *shocked* what?! Are you serious? All those five years I was gone you still haven’t confessed to her?

CD: I’m afraid that this might break our friendship.

HJ: I know PL would understand you.

CD: *sigh*

HJ: sometimes I think that I committed a mortal sin in my past life, that’s why my life is like this.

CD: but at least yours is better than mine.

HJ: *confused* and what makes you think like that?

CD: well, at least BH knows your feelings for him. You can openly express yourself in front on him, unlike me.

HJ: *sad voice* you think it’s really that good? But you know what? That’s what makes it even worse.

CD: why?

HJ: *sad voice* because even though he knows how feel, he doesn’t seem to care at all. He only thinks of me as an annoying tail that always follows him around. *tears are now forming at her eyes* he never really cares about how I feel. But isn’t it weird? I don’t hate him at all. I don’t have the guts to hate him.

            Then after that, HJ tries her best to gather her spirit again and cheer up, she can’t cry now. She promised that she would never cry again.

HJ: ahhh….. What is this…??? Are you trying to make me cry in broad daylight? *she asked CD who was at her back.* come on let’s go back, I’m starving already.

CD: *smiles, though he can see sadness in HJ eyes* oh… sorry, let’s go.

            Then they walk together to the house. As they were getting near the house, they can the smell of meat coming from there.

HJ: *sniffs* ahh…. It smells good. *then she runs while saying* the last one will do the dishes.

CD: ehh?? Yah!! That’s cheating. You’re already running.

HJ: haha….melong….

            It was HJ who reach the house first.

HJ: yes!!!!! I made it. Hahaha….. *she said while panting*

CD: *panting* yah!!! You cheated, it’s not fair.

HJ: haha.. Do you have evidence?? *looks at PL* PL-ah CD will do the dishes afterwards.

PL: *confused* ohh….

CHAP 7: Strawberry & Apple

Now the five of them are eating in the kitchen.

HJ: *eats* hmmm….. It’s really tasty… who cooked this? *she asked*

PL: *happy* really?? Thanks, BG and I cooked it.

CD: really? Whoa… BG you’re really great. It’s good.

BG: thanks

            When they were about to finish their meal, BH stands up and go to the fridge and brings out the strawberries they bought.

BH: *giving them the Strawberries on plate* here, we also bought some strawberries.

CD: *smiles* ohh?? There’s strawberry, PL-ah didn’t you say you like strawberries before? You can have my share *he said to PL*

PL: oh? You still remember.

CD: *nods* yeah

PL: thanks

            Then the 4 of them started eating the strawberries it was only HJ who didn’t eat strawberry. BG noticed it and asked:

BG: HJ-ah why aren’t you eating the strawberries?

            Then the rest of them also noticed that it is a fact that she didn’t really eat any strawberries. CD asked her,

CD: don’t you like strawberry?

HJ: *looks at them* ohh… yeah, I don’t like strawberry *she simply answer*

BH: *looks at HJ* why?

HJ: nothing. I just stopped eating it. *what the? Why did I say stopped? I could have just said that I don’t really eat it. Hope no one notice it (she thought to herself).*

BH: *stopped? Why did she say stopped? It means that she does like strawberry before. Then why did she doesn’t like it now? (He thought)*

PL: then is there any fruit that you like?

HJ: *looks at PL* hmm, apple, I like apple.

CD: ohh.. so you like apple.

PL: *smiles* really? Then let’s go buy apple later.

HJ: CD-ah, don’t forget to wash the dishes, you lose, haha *she tries to change the topic, She stopped liking strawberries because she had some painful memories for it, actually she had a lot of painful memories the she kept only to herself.*

CD: ok, ok, I know, I’d do the dishes.

HJ: *laughs* haha,,,, melong

PL: I’ll help you… *she offers*

CD: no it’s ok. *then he saw HJ looking at him. It seems that she is trying to say something to him*

HJ: *just let her help you*

CD: *gets what she means to say*

PL: I’m ok, I’ll help you, and I’m worried that if I let you do it alone we ended up eating without any plates *she teases him*

CD: thanks.

HJ: *laughs* haha, you better do it right CD, I don’t want to eat without plates you know.

Then they all left CD and PL on the kitchen to do the cleaning.

PL: yah! CD do it properly, you can’t just rinse it with water, use the dishwashing soap and rub it properly.

CD: ok, ok, sorry.

PL: *smiles* seriously. You are not meant to be in the kitchen.

CD: where should I be then?

PL: there *points outside* at the stage. Dancing to your heart’s content.

CD: *laughs* haha. I also think that. But what can I do? I lose to HJ.

PL: *curious* what is it anyway that you lose and have to do the dishes?

CD: *smiles* HJ says that whoever reach the house last do the dishes, but she cheated she run first.

PL: haha. What can I say? I wasn’t HJ if she didn’t have any ideas of how to have fun.

CD: yeah. You are right. It was HJ. She never fails to have fun.

PL: yeah, I agree.

CD: ok, let’s just finish this so you can take a rest.

PL: Yeah. I also want to spend to take a look at the beach.

CD: it’s really nice out there. Let’s invite others for a walk and to swim later.

PL: sure.

CHAP 8: Time to Play

Later that afternoon, HJ is watching the other guest playing beach volley, she is sitting in the corner, and Then BH came and sits beside her.

BH: *I wonder what she is thinking right now. (He thought while looking at her)*

HJ: *noticed that BH is looking at her* if you have something to say, say it. Stop staring at me. *it makes my heart beats fast (she said in her thought).*

BH: ohh… nothing. Just to ask if you want to play volleyball?

            The match already ended, now they are looking for new players.

HJ: ohh? Sure let’s go. *before my heart beats even more.*

BH: ok.

            Then they are finally inside the court, they will be playing against the team that won earlier. They started the rally. HJ was trying to chase the ball to return to the other side when she lost her balance and fell on the sand.

HJ: *fell on the sand* ouch!!!!

BH: *seeing HJ fell, he quickly runs toward her.* HJ-ah… Are you ok?? Are you hurt anywhere? Tell me?? *he said full of concern in his eyes and in his voice*

HJ: *surprised to see BH’s reaction,(blink…blink….) he seems really worried about her, she can tell.* I’m ok. Don’t worry, *stands up and picked the ball*

BH: you sure?

HJ: *smiles* yeah. I’m perfectly fine *she even raises her hand to show him she’s ok.*

            Now they started to play seriously. They started the rally again. And after a while the game finally ended and the score was in favor of BH and HJ. They can’t believe that they really won. Both of them are really happy especially HJ.

HJ: ahh!!! We won! We won! *unconsciously hugs BH while jumping mid air * I can’t believe it. We won!

BH: *surprised by HJ sudden action but still happy and hugs her back* yes, we did it.

HJ: *finally come back to her senses and noticed that she was hugging BH* ooopppssss, sorry,,,,, reflex….*I feel so happy that I hugged him, aish (she thought to herself)*

BH: *smiles* it’s ok. *suddenly it feels like the old HJ is back, I really want to see her happy*

HJ: *smiles while looking at BH,*

BH: *feels conscious* what are you smiling at?

HJ: nothing. It’s just that, it my first time seeing you really messy like that.

BH: *confused* huh?

HJ: *smiles while putting her hand on BH forehead* you’re sweating too much and your hair is a mess *she said while wiping BH sweat with her thumb* and to add to that, you’re full of sand. Almost, muddy. haha *she teased*

BH: you’re calling me messy? Why don’t you look at yourself? We’re just the same. *smiles*

HJ: *smiles* at least I’m the less messy here. *stick her tongue out* melong. *the runaway*

BH: yah! Na Hyun Jung *he calls her* want to die?!

HJ: *laughs* of course not. That’s why im running. Pabbo(silly).. haha…

BH: bwoh???? (What??) yah! Did you just call me Pabbo?

HJ: haha….

BH: *smiles* make sure that I won’t catch. cause you’re dead if I did. *he said then runs after her*

HJ: ohh… no… he’s mad… I’m dead for sure if he catches me.

            HJ runs as much as she can but she is really running out of breath. The she decided to stop.

HJ: ahh…. I can’t run anymore. I’m too tired to run. *she said while catching her breath*

BH: *he saw HJ finally stop* ah…. Catch you…..

HJ: *ohh, im dead now* look, I didn’t mean it that way. Sorry…. Forgive.. *she said while rubbing both of her palm and pleading him to forgive her using her puppy eyes*

BH: *smiles* haha.. It’s too late for that now.

HJ: *close her eyes thinking he would hit her then she felt her body being lifted.* YAH!! Put me down.

BH: *he carries HJ and walk to the sea*

HJ: *she saw BH walking toward the water* yah!

BH: *he then throws HJ to the water and laugh really hard* haha… who’s messier now?? Huh??

HJ: you!! *while saying it she splash water to BH* take this…. Haha..

BH: yah! Stop it. *trying to dodge the water*

HJ: *didn’t listen to him just continue to splash water at him*

BH: yah, yah,…*then he knows that it’s no use talking to her and just splash water to her also*

HJ: haha….

            Both of them started playing in the water. They splashed water at each other. All that can be heard there is the sound of their laughter, they are really having fun that time.

CHAP 9: Achievement

Meanwhile PL and CD are together, they tried to look for BH and HJ. And they ended up seeing a bunch of people gathering in circles. They got curious and went over there. They saw some teenagers dancing.

PL: *amused* whoa!! They are really good.

CD: *smiles* yeah…

PL: *looks at CD and sees that he is also enjoying it.* why don’t you join them?

CD: huh? No. I’m fine watching.

PL: *smiles* no you’re not. *then pushes him*

CD: yah….*before he can even say anything PL already pushed him and now he is in the middle of the circle and the center of attention he got no choice but to dance*

            CD started dancing the moment the music starts; he danced like no one is watching him. He really loves what he is doing now. The people there was really amaze by the way he moves. He looked really cool.

PL: *happy* whoa! Hong Chan Doo, I know you love to dance but I didn’t you were that good.

CD: *happy to hear her compliment* really?? Thanks.

PL: you look like you’re really enjoying yourself there. Now I know why you didn’t go to a university and studied dancing instead. It’s your life.

CD: haha.

            They continue to walk and sees and shooting stand.

PL: *runs toward the stand* whoa… that bear looks really cute. *referring to the stuff bear*

Stall Owner (SO): you can have that if you succeed shooting those entire toy soldiers without a miss.

CD: you want it??

PL: *nods* oh..

CD: *smiles* ok. Let’s try.

SO: *gives CD the toy gun* here, it has 8 bullets. If you shoot them all with a miss the bear is yours.

CD: thanks.

            Then CD started aiming for those toy soldiers in front of him. He needs to knock down 8 of them to win the price. Then after a while CD got all the soldiers down. It means he wins the stuffed bear.

PL: *happy* whoa! You won…. You made it…

CD: *laughs* haha…

SO: here *giving them 2 stuffed bear.* take this, since you did it young man.

CD: *bows* thank you. *then gives PL the bears*

PL: *takes the bears* thanks. Here, this one is for you, since you’re the one who worked hard for it.

CD: thanks.

            Then back to HJ and BH. After playing in the water for a long time, they both felt tired and stopped.

HJ: *lies onto the sand while smiling* ahh… I’m so tired. I can’t remember the last time I run that long and played onto the beach. I don’t remember the last time I felt like this.

BH: *joins HJ and lies onto the sand too* haha. Me too. I’ve never been on beach for a long time. It’s really fun.

HJ: *looks at BH who was lying beside her.* congratulate me. *she said then looks at the stars. It’s already night that time, they didn’t notice the time.*

BH: *confused* why?

HJ: just do it *she commanded*

BH: *still confused but then obey her.* congrats … but, really what was that for?

HJ: *still looking at the sky.* because this is the first time that I made you laugh.

BH: *confused even more* what do you mean? I do laugh with you before.

HJ: *smiles* haha, sure you do. What I mean is, this is the first time that you genuinely laugh with. Before you smile with me because you don’t want to hurt my feeling, even though you’re annoyed by my presence you just smile. But now you did laugh with me, not because you don’t want to hurt me but because you’re really happy. And I’m glad.

BH: *understand now what she means* sorry if I make you feel like that. *I didn’t noticed that she felt like all those 4 years we’re together, I’m not annoyed at you at that time, I just don’t know how to act in front of you. You’re so bubbly and jolly person. (He thought to himself.)*

HJ: It’s not your fault after all, no need to say sorry. What important now is that I finally see you laugh, after 4 years of trying. I finally succeeded. Isn’t quite an achievement? *laughs* haha…

BH: *laughs* haha.

HJ: *gets up*

BH: where are you going?

HJ: going back, need to wash up. Being soak in seawater too long hurts the skin. *she joked, then laughs* haha.

BH: *gets up* wait, let go back together.

HJ: Hurry! *she shouts*

            Then they went back to the house. There’s no one home except for BG who was sleeping soundly on the boy’s room. 

CHAP 10:

Busy Life

It’s been a week since their trip ended. It’s the last day they all see each other. After their trip all of them become busy with their own matters. BH has many works to do in the hospital, as well BG with his small animal clinic, CD is also working on his dance studio, PL is busy with the café since she closed it last weekend, and HJ just receive a call from her professor saying that she won the painting contest that she joined before going back to Korea.

Pulip’s POV

PL: *sigh* ahh… it’s already been a week since I last saw them, I wonder how is everyone doing now.

Chan Doo’s POV

            Soon he going to officially open his dance studio, he wants to invite other for the opening party. It was just a small celebration; he called others and tells them to meet him at PL’s café he has something to say.

PL: *sitting beside CD and waiting for others* did you call the others? What is it??

CD: *smiles* you’ll know it later. Let’s wait for the others first.

PL: *nods* ok

            After a few minutes BH and BG arrived.

CD: *waves* BH, BG… here

BH: *walks toward them* you have something to tell?

CD: sit first

PL: wait. HJ is not here yet.

CD: I tried to call her several time but I can’t get through, I always end to the voice mail. Why don’t you try to call her?

PL: ohh?? Wait.. I’ll try to call her. *calls HJ* oh?? It’s a voice mail. Wait let me try again. *she tries it again, and after several tries HJ answers*ohh… she answered. *she said to the others*

HJ: *her phones kept on ringing and she decide to answer* hello.

PL: at last you answered. I tried calling you many times.

HJ: *recognized PL’s voice* ohh, PL-ah, sorry, I was busy, why did you call?

PL: where are you now?

HJ: now? Why?

PL: oh.. Maybe you can come at the café now if you’re just somewhere near. CD has something to say to us.

HJ: sorry, but I can’t go there. I’m not in Korea now.

PL: *surprised with what she heard* Mwoh?!! (What?!!),

            The others were startled to hear PL’s reaction and got all curious

BH: why? What’s the matter??

CD: did something happen to HJ?

PL: *shakes her head* no, no, *back to the phone* HJ-ah if you’re not in Korea now, then where are you??

HJ: sorry, I didn’t inform you. It’s urgent. I’m here at US,

PL: you’re back there?

HJ: there’s something I need to do here.

PL: ohh… then when will you come back?

HJ: I don’t know yet. *then there’s someone called HJ* ohh… I’ll be going now PL-ah, talk to you later.

PL: oh..

            After the phone call, BH, CD and BG are all curious of what they talked about.

BH: what do you mean that HJ is not in Korea? *he asked curiously*

CD: yeah, we’re just together last week how could she not be in Korea?

PL: she just said she is in US now.

All of them: EHHH???

BG: what is she doing there?

PL: she didn’t really tell me, all she said is that there’s something she need to do there.

CD: then did she tell you when she will come back?

PL: she said she didn’t yet. We didn’t talk that much, I heard someone called her, then she said she’ll just call me later.

CD: ohh.. Who might that be?

PL: I don’t know. But it sounds like a guy.

BH: *surprised with he heard* Mwoh? A guy?

PL: *nods* ohh, I didn’t hear much, but I think he is telling HJ to come.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            As she was talking to PL she heard someone calling her. It was Si Yoon, he was telling her to come because the professor is waiting for them, and he has been her good friend since she transferred there. They share the same interest in painting and arts. So they really get along well.

After HJ’s meeting with her professor, HJ calls PL right away.

PL: *phone rings* hello?

HJ: PL-ah, sorry about earlier.

PL: it’s ok HJ-ah

HJ: what was it that CD what to say anyway?

PL: ohh… about that…. His opening his dance studio officially next week so he wants us to invite us.

HJ: ohh, is that so?

PL: so do you think you can make it??

HJ: *sigh* I don’t think I can. There are a lot of things I need to do here first.

PL: Is it a serious problem? *she asked curiously*

HJ: no, there’s no problem here. I just need to attend the award ceremony personally and other stuffs. *she explains*

PL: award ceremony??

HJ: yeah, before I went back to Korea I submitted an entry to a painting contest and I was informed last week that I won first place and I need to attend the awarding personally or I’ll be forfeited.

PL: *happy* really?? Wow! That’s great HJ-ah… I’m so happy for you…

HJ: thanks PL-ah, just tell CD I’m sorry that I can’t make it.

PL: ok, I’ll tell him. When will you be back?

HJ: I don’t know yet. But I’ll keep in touch with you guys so don’t worry.

PL: promise?

HJ: yeah, promise.

            After a few days BH, BG, CD and PL meet again.

BH: any news from HJ?

PL: I got a call from her a few days ago.

BG: what did she say?

PL: she said she needs to go there because she needs to attend the award ceremony.

CD: award ceremony?

PL: ohh… she won the contest she joined before coming back here, so she needs to attend the awarding.

BG: whoa! That’s really great.

            Days have passed real quick it’s been a month now since HJ went back to US. After the awarding she receives a lot of offers to her painting. Her school also exhibits her works so she wasn’t able to go back to Korea.

Baek Hyun’s POV    

BH: *it’s been a month now since HJ left, why is she not coming back?*

            Then another week has passed still HJ is not back. All of them are missing her. Although sometime she calls. The 4 of them are now at PL’s café. They are all talking about HJ they are asking PL how she’s doing. Then suddenly they heard a very familiar voice, the voice that they all miss.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            After almost 45days of being gone, now she can finally go back to Korea again. Her flight arrives night so the day after she decided to visit PL at her café she really miss her bestfriend. And it was a lucky day, all of them are present, she decided to surprise them so she walks carefully till she was near them and she heard that they are talking about her.

HJ: *ohh? They are talking about me* yah!! You’re not planning to talk behind my back aren’t you guys? *she said jokingly*

All of them: *startled*

BH: *startled* Na Hyun Jung!

HJ: ohh… what’s with that look? All of you look like you’ve seen a ghost… yah! Don’t tell me you’re really talking bad about me??

PL: *back to normal* no, no, we’re not… we just miss you so we are talking about you.

HJ: *smiles* really? You miss me?

CD: *nods*

BH: *frowns* yah! Na Hyun Jung,

HJ: *looks at BH* ohh?? *he looks mad I wonder why?*

BH: who allows you to leave? Is leaving your hobby now?  Before you planned to transfer school without telling us, then after we graduated you went to US without informing us again and now just a month ago you leaved again and didn’t tell us anything. Are we even your friends? *he was kinda upset because HJ leaves and he thought she wouldn’t see her again*

HJ: yah! Hwang Baek Hyun, I have my reasons. It was urgent. *what is he upset about? It’s not like he wants me here*

PL: don’t be mad at HJ she needs to attend a very important event that’s why she didn’t inform us ahead. What important is she is back. *she depend her besfriend*

CHAP 12: Omma?

The situation was tensed since BH said something. CD tries to lighten it up.

CD: *smiles* HJ-ah, you went to US don’t tell me you didn’t bought anything for us? You didn’t also come to the opening of my dance studio.

HJ: *smiles* of course I bought something for all of you. But I left it home since I didn’t know that you’ll all be here.

PL: its ok, you can give it to us later.

CD: but what is it that you bought for us?

HJ: ohh, I bought a book for BG since BG likes reading,

BG: really?? Thank you HJ-ah

HJ: for my bestfriend I bought a bag for you.

PL: *smiles* thank you.

HJ: and for you CD-ah since I didn’t give you anything for your studio opening, I’ll just give you a painting. You can hang it there or at your house,

CD: really? Whoa!! I bet it worth a lot. Since you are famous already in the US we heard to PL that your works was put onto an exhibit so can’t go back earlier. I’m sure if that was put on an auction it would cost high.

HJ: Yah!! Hong Chan Doo, you haven’t received my gift yet, and you’re already planning on selling it?

CD: *smiles* oh.. I didn’t mean it that way. I definite wouldn’t sell it.

HJ: be sure.

CD: *raise his right hand* promise I won’t.

HJ: and for BH I bought you a jacket, I don’t know if you will like it. *she said hesitantly*

BH: *smiles* thanks

 They stay there for a while and talked about many things. Then suddenly HJ was surprised to see someone.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She can’t believe who she just saw walking towards them.

HJ: *shocked* omma! *she barely says, her voice was gone.*

            Upon hearing what HJ called the auntie in front of them they were all surprised they haven’t seen HJ’s omma not even a picture of her, so they were really surprised?

All of them: omma?

HJ: *speechless*

            They decided to leave HJ and her mom together to have some time together. HJ still doesn’t say anything.

HJ’s Omma: HJ-ah, you really grow taller. You grow into a very beautiful lady.

HJ: *still speechless*

Omma: I haven’t seen you for a really long time

HJ: *finally finds her voice back* 15 years to be exact. You left me for 15 years.

Omma: I know you’re mad at me because I leave you, but I only did it because I want you to have a good life.

HJ: and you think I had a good life? *tears are now falling from her eyes*

Omma: I’m sorry my child. I thought that if I let you be with your father he would take care of you.

HJ: all he did was to support me with his money.

Omma: I’m really sorry,

HJ: *crying* why didn’t you look for me when you know I was also abandoned by appa? I waited for you. I believed that you would come and get me but I was wrong.

Omma: I tried to look for you, I really did. But when I finally found you, they say that you went to America and study. Now that I see you like this, I know I made the right decision, if you’re with me I can’t give you all you need.

HJ: *sobs*

Omma: I know you can’t forgive that easily. I can’t blame you. I’ll give you some time to yourself. I know that everything happens really fast for you. I’ll go for now, but I promise I will come back to see you again. Even if you won’t forgive I’ll go see you.

            Then HJ’s mother leaves HJ’s crying. PL saw HJ crying and tried to approaches her friend.

PL: *slow walks toward HJ* HJ-ah are you ok? *she sits beside HJ*

HJ: *cries harder and hugs PL*

PL: *taps HJ’s shoulder and tries to comfort her* it’s ok HJ-ah. Cry all you want. But after this you won’t cry anymore. Ok??

HJ: *hugs PL tightly* why did she need to comeback now that everything is ok?

PL: everything happens for a reason HJ-ah. She is still your mother afterall.

HJ:  *sobs*

PL: it’s ok Hj-ah, it’s ok. Everything is going to be fine.

CHAP 13: Presents

HJ cried all night. She kept thinking about her mother, she does waits for her, she waits for her to come back for her, but it took 15 years for her to appear.

HJ: *crying* why did you come back just now?

            She falls asleep while crying. Then the next day, she decided to not worry about that anymore, she try to be back to her normal self. She decided to go out to prevent her from thinking about what happened last night. She went to PL to give her present she promised.

HJ: *fakes a smile* PL-ah… here, I brought the bag.

PL: *smiles* wow! It’s really nice, I like it.

HJ: really?

PL: oh.. Thank you… *silence* ahh…. HJ-ah, are you ok now? *worries about what happened the other day*

HJ: of course, I’m ok… I need to go now. I still need to give my present to others.

PL: ohh.. ok..

            The next one she visit is BG

HJ: *enters a small animal clinic* BG-ah.

BG: *looks* oh? HJ-ah. Why are you here?

HJ: tada!!!! I’m here to give you the book.

HJ: I need to leave now BG I just drop it off, I’ll go to CD to give him his painting.

            Then she visit CD on the dance studio there were also some students

Student: ohh… she’s pretty. I thought she was sir’s girlfriend

CD: what brings you here?

HJ: oh… I’m here to give you this. *referring to her painting.*

CD: thank you.

HJ: no problem, I need to go now. Need to go to BH.

            Then HJ left CD she goes straight to the Seoul Hospital, but first she called BH to make sure he is in the hospital.

BH: *phone rings* hello…

BH: what brings you here? Are you sick?

            They were sitting on the lobby; some of the nurses are talking about them.

N1: who is that talking to Dr. BH? *One of the nurse asked*

N2: I don’t know, She’s really pretty though.

N1: she looks kinda familiar, I think I’ve seen her somewhere.

N2: yeah, I also think that too, *got an idea* ahh!!! I remember now, did you watch the news last month; it was about a Korean painter that won in a very prestigious painting contest? Isn’t she that person who won?

N1: ohh.. I know that. You mean she is Na Hyun Jung?

N2: yeah, I think she is.

CHAP14 Fan Meeting

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She was walking her way home when he received a call from BH he wants her to meet at the hospital so she went there.

HJ: *calls BH to let him know she’s already there* where are you?

BH: *answers the phone* I’m at the office, wait me at the lobby.

HJ: ok.

            A few minutes later a nurse approach HJ it was the same nurse that saw her yesterday.

N1: ahh,, hmm… excuse me *she shyly said*

HJ: *looks* yes?

N1: are you Na Hyun Jung? *she curiously asked*

HJ: yes, why?

N1: *amazed* whoa! You’re really Na Hyun Jung, the one that won a painting contest.

HJ: *smiles* yeah, I’m back a few days ago. *then she saws BH walking, she waves at him* I need to go now. bye. *she said to the nurse*

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He received a call from HJ saying that she’s already there, he told her to wait for him at the lobby. As he was walking he saw HJ talking to one of the nurse.

BH: *walks toward HJ* know her?

HJ: *shakes her head* no, but I think she knows me.

BH: *confused* huh?

HJ: she just asks if I’m really Na Hyung Jung. So I said yes, then you came. So where is the kid you are talking about?

BH: she’s at the room at the 2nd floor, let’s go.

            Then they went to the room of the kid it was BH who first enter the room.

BH: *greets the mother of the child* hello ma’am, how is she?

Mom: *smiles* ohh, Dr. BH, she fine.

BH: *walks toward the child* how are you feeling? *he asked her* are you good girl to your mom?

Kid: yes, I a good girl, I just draw mom a picture earlier, want to see it? *she asked him*

            Then HJ entered the room and had a little talk with her little fan, the kid was really happy to finally meet her. Then they left the room to left her have some rest the mother thanked both of them. They went to the cafeteria.

HJ: *curiously asked* what’s her sickness?

BH: she have a very weak body, so she often here in the hospital.

HJ: ohh…

BH: *phone rings*

HJ: Answer it.

BH: ohh,

            After the phone call.

BH: it’s CD

HJ: what did he say?

CD: remember what’s with this Saturday?

HJ: *thinks*

BH: *smiles* it’s PL’s birthday, remember?

HJ: *fakes a smile* yeah, I remember *how can I forget my own birthday*

BH: they are all planning to go to a Theme Park. Are you going?

HJ: *fakes a smile* sure. I can’t miss my bestfriend birthday.

BH: *smiles* good.

HJ: *sigh. (They still don’t that it’s my birthday too that day. But I guess it can’t be help)* I’ll be going now.

CHAP 15: Unexpected Question

After a few days it is PL’s birthday.

Pulip’s POV

PL: *wakes up by a phone call* hello? *she said in a very light voice she was really sleepy*

CD: PL-ah

PL: *shouts* yah! Hong Chan Doo! What do you think you’re doing? Calling this late? Do you know what time is it now?

CD: *startled, then takes away the phone to his ears PL’s voice was really loud* why shout?

PL: if you nothing better to do, just sleep. I’m really sleepy now. Bye.

CD: *PL was about to hang the phone then* wait….wait…. do you know what day is it today? Its past 12 now so it’s already your birthday.

PL: ohh…

CD: *smiles* I want to be the first one to greet you. Happy Birthday PL-ah

PL: *smiles* thanks. But seriously I want to sleep now. Talk to you tomorrow, ok?

CD: ok, ok, sweet dream.

PL: bye.

            That morning when PL wake her was full of messages, it was all greeting, they all wish her a happy birthday, but there is one person who hasn’t texted her. It was HJ.

PL: *looks through her phone* oh? Everyone texted me, except for HJ, did she forget that today is my birthday?

Hyun Jung’s POV

            HJ wakes up early, she checked her phone to see if someone texted her, but her inbox is empty.

HJ: *sad* no text, well it’s not like it’s the first time that this happened, but I’m still sad. I should be used to it by now. *sigh*

            After a few hours they all meet up in the clock tower, everyone was already there except HJ.

CD: where is HJ? We’ll be late.

PL: we can’t leave without HJ, let’s wait for 5 minutes more, I’m sure she’s on her way.

CD: ok. Let’s wait.

PL: thanks.

CD: try to call her.

            Meanwhile HJ was there already, she was watching them from afar, she was trying to put up  all her courage to put a smile on her face before she meet them so she just stare at them for a moment.

HJ: *stand straight* ok you can do this. Na Hyung Jung, Fighting!!! *she tries to cheer herself up*

Pulip’s POV

            They were waiting on the shed when PL saw HJ running through the stairs.

PL: *saw HJ* HJ-ah….you’re here, I thought something happened to you.

CD: why are you so late?

HJ: *fakes a smile* sorry, sorry, I was caught on traffic *she makes an excuse*

PL: it’s ok, as long as you’re here now.

BG: so? Let’s go?

HJ: *nods* let’s go..

            They took the bus to go to the theme park.

HJ: *eyes wide open* whoa! It’s really nice here.

PL: *same* it’s really big, there’s so many people.

HJ: *excited* PL-ah what should we try first?

PL: *thinks* hmm….. Let’s take a photo first while we’re still in shape. *she suggested*

HJ: ok… to the photo booth *she drags PL*

            After the picture taking, they decided to take a walk and look around the theme park, it was really huge. They enjoy sightseeing. Then they tried the bump car .After the bump car they went to take a few minutes rest on the park bench.

PL: *happy* whoa! That was really fun.

CD: HJ-ah

HJ: oh?

CD: I have something to ask you

HJ: what is it?

CD: when is your birthday? We’ve known you since high school but we don’t know, about your birthday? So when is it?

PL: ohh… I was also curious about.

HJ: *fake smile* my birthday is …..

CHAP 16: Birthday Revelations

Hyung Jung’s POV

            They were resting on a park bench when suddenly CD asked HJ an unexpected question.

CD: when is your birthday? We’ve known you since high school but we don’t know, about your birthday? So when is it?

HJ: *she fakes a smile and say* my birthday is on Feb. 29. *she joked*

BH: *he quickly gets HJ’s joke* yah! Are you playing with us?

HJ: *plays innocent* why?

BH: Feb. 29 happens once every 4yrs, how can you be born on that day?

HJ: *smiles* hehe… it can’t be helped…

PL: yah! Tell us already.

HJ: curious much?

CD: *nods*

HJ: then find out for yourself….*then laughs* haha… wait, I’ll go buy some drinks. *whoa that was close (she thought)*

PL: wait, I’ll help you. *chase HJ*

CD: I’ll go too. Let’s also buy some food,

Baek Hyun’s POV

            Then the 3 of them left, BH and BG are left together.

BG: HJ seems to be dodging the question about her birthday, don’t you think so BH?

BH: *looks at BG* yeah.

BG: don’t you also know when it is?

BH: *shakes his head* I don’t know either.

BG: ohh.. So she didn’t also tell you before, even though she was close to you.

BH: *it is true that she was always beside me, but she never discusses anything to me about her personal life. And now that I think about it, it seems that I know nothing about her*

            As they we’re waiting, HJ left her cellphone on the table, BG accidentally drop it off the ground. BH picked it up. It seems like a message was accidentally opened when it fell. As he was picking it he saw the message and read it.

BH: *picking the phone* ohh?? A message was opened. *he was not planning to read it when some word caught his attention* wait. What is this? “Guest, Happy Birthday. Wish you have a great day” *he said as he read the message* don’t tell me today is also her birthday? *he said to himself*

BG: *noticed BH* what happened, BH? Is it broken? Ohh…. I’m dead to HJ. *worried that the phone was broken*

BH: *shakes his head* no, no, don’t worry, it’s not broken.

BG: really? Ahh… I’m glad.

            After a few minutes CD, PL, and HJ came back with some drinks and food.

PL: we’re back. Did you wait long?

CD:  let’s eat, we bought some food too..

HJ: *handing BH the drink* here.

BH: *looks at her* thanks

            After eating, they take a stroll to the park, they also tried some fun games, now the sky has already darken, it’s already, and they didn’t notice the time.

HJ: where should we go next? *she asked*

PL: *excitedly say* let’s go the other side of the park. *pointing to the cable car* let’s ride that to go there.

HJ: *as soon as she saw PL pointing on the cable car, her smile was wiped off her face* you want to ride that?

PL: *nods* ohh,, so let’s go?

HJ: *shakes her head* ahh… I’ll just meet you there. Maybe there is other way to go there.

CD: why don’t you want to ride it?

HJ: *nods* ohh.. I don’t like heights. So you go first, let’s just meet there. Ok?

PL: but…

HJ: *smiles* no more buts, just go, don’t worry I won’t be lost, I’m old enough.

            HJ didn’t give PL a chance to protest, she quickly push her towards the way to the cable car. She watched them leave, and then she noticed BH was still there, he didn’t go with the other.

HJ:*saw BH behind her* ohh?? BH-ah, what are you doing here? Didn’t we agree to meet there? Why are you here?

BH: do you really want to go there by yourself?

HJ: what can I do? I don’t like heights *she pouts*

BH: do you trust me?

CHAP 17: Do You Trust Me?

Pulip’s POV

            As they went to the cable car area, she noticed that BH wasn’t with them.

PL: *looks around* where’s BH?

BG: I think he was with HJ *BG answered*

CD: *nods* ohh,, he didn’t follow us. Maybe he is worried about HJ.

PL *smiles* that’s good then I was also worried that HJ have to go alone. It’s quite dangerous since it’s already night time.

CD: Don’t worry BH is with her, nothing will happen.

BG: yeah, BH is a good fighter when were in high school remember?

            Then they ride the cable car.

PL: *happy* wow! It’s really beautiful.

CD: it’s really nice here.

PL: let’s go again here, next time.

BG: we didn’t get to see much of it because it’s too big

CD: let’s go again here when we are free.

BG: PL-ah. Sorry, I didn’t prepare any birthday present to you.

PL: it’s ok BG-ah,

CD: me, I’ll give you my present when we came back,

PL: thanks CD.

CD: *smiles* welcome

PL: I’m really happy because I’m able to celebrate my birthday with all of you again.

CD: yeah, we haven’t seen each other for 5 years. And now we are complete again.

BG: wait, before we forget, did you tell HJ where we should meet her?

PL: ohh? Right, I didn’t get the chance to tell her.

CD: let’s just text her and BH to let them know the place.

PL: *smiles* right. I’ll text HJ.

CD: *smiles* ok

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She was watching the others leave when she noticed BH wasn’t there, and then when she looks back she saw BH. And then BH asked her a question.

BH: *looks at HJ* do you trust me? *he asked*

HJ: *confused* huh?

BH: do you trust me? *he asked again*

HJ: *she just nods* ohh…

BH: *grabs HJ’s hand* then follow me. *drags HJ*

HJ: *surprised by BH action* yah! Where are we going? This is not the way to the other side of theme park…. We should be going that way if we want to ride the bus *pointing at the opposite direction*

            After a few walk they ended up in the cable car area.

HJ: *furious* yah! Hwang Baek Hyun! Does your memory last for 10sec now? I just told you that I don’t like heights, and you bring me here?*shakes her head* no…. I’m not going to ride that no matter what.

BH: you said you trust me..

HJ: yeah, I said that. But still…

BH: don’t worry, nothing bad will happen, trust me. I won’t allow anything to happen to you. Promise *he said trying to convince her*

HJ: *slightly calmed down* promise is a big word BH-ah,

BH: *nods* I know, now let’s go. Hold onto me if you’re still afraid

HJ: *grabs BH arm tightly before going to the cable car*

            As the get inside the cable car, HJ is holding BH’s arm tightly, when it started moving she holds his arm more tightly and closed her eyes.

BH: *sees HJ’s really scared and smile* yah, open your eyes.

HJ: *shakes her head* no. I don’t like

BH: how are you going to enjoy the view if you’re not going to open your eyes?

HJ: I didn’t ride this to enjoy the view; I ride this because you keep insisting it on me.

BH: come on; open your eyes, if you open your eyes I would give you something.

HJ: what is it? *she asked curiously while her eyes are still closed*

BH: open your eyes first so you can see it. *trying to convince her to open her eyes*

HJ: *hesitantly opens her eyes*

CHAP 18: Birthday Present

Baek Hyun’s POV

            BH is convincing her to open her eyes, he said that is she opens her eyes he would give her something in return so she hesitantly opened her eyes.

HJ: *slowly opens her eyes*

BH: *smiles* see, it’s really nice here, now, here *he said while taking her hand and gives her something and closes her palm*

Hyun Jung’s POV

HJ: *as she opens her eyes, BH give her something on her palm and as she open her palm she saw a necklace* what is this? *she asked*

BH: it’s a necklace

HJ: I know it’s a necklace but why are you giving me this?

BH: *smiles* I told you that I would give you something if you open your eyes right?

HJ: yes, but I wasn’t expecting that you would really give me something like this.

BH: didn’t you say that you like apple? It has an apple pendant.

HJ: *still can’t believe with what she received* are you sure this is for me?

BH: *nods* ohh.. It’s my birthday present for you.

HJ: *surprised with what she heard* bi.. birthday present?

BH: today was your birthday right?

HJ: *shocked* wait… how did you know?

BH: Pabbo… why didn’t you tell us that today is also your birthday?

HJ: *looks away* you never asked for it. So why should I tell. *her voice was sad*

BH: we just asked you earlier but you didn’t answer

HJ: *remember what happened earlier when CD asked her* ohh…. That, I just don’t want you guys to feel awkward when you know about it,. And beside I doubt if you would believe if ever I tell you it was today.

BH: why would we doubt you?

HJ: *fake smile* I don’t know. Anyway, thanks for this. *referring to the silver necklace with apple pendant* I really like it.

BH: no problem, see, now you’re fine, it wasn’t really scary as you think.

HJ: *smiles* yeah,

BH: *gets curious* but why are you so afraid of heights anyway?

HJ: ohh,, it’s because when I was still young I fell down on a tree and I need to wear a cast on my right leg so after that I never went anywhere that is high.

BH: ohh… so that is what happened. You’re not planning to tell the others about your birthday?

HJ: maybe someday.

Chan Doo’s POV

            He was really happy that PL is enjoying everything. They already reached the end of the cable car. Even though it’s already night time the people there are still many, there are live bands performing, there are some street dancer and many more. They decided to watch the live performance of the singers

PL: *happy* whoa!! They’re really good.

BG: *nods*

CD: *smiles* they all have a great voice.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            They already reached the end of the ride,

HJ: *relieved* ah,,, at last we’re here. Where should we meet the others? Wait… let me call PL to inform them we’re already here.

BH: *interrupts HJ from making a call* wait… let’s go somewhere else first *he said then drags HJ*

HJ: but I need to call them *she protested, but follows him in the end* where are we going?

            They ended up in a wishing fountain on the park,

BH: *looks at his watch* there. We still have an hour left before you birthday ends. What do you want to do?

HJ: *what more can I wish for? Having you by my side on my birthday was already enough for me. (she thought)*

BH: *HJ didn’t answer him* don’t you have any wish?

HJ: *smiles* hmmm….. Why don’t we play fireworks?

BH: you want to play fireworks? How childish…

HJ: *nods* ohh..

BH: ok… wait for me here. Don’t go anywhere,

HJ: *nods, she watched BH leave* I wonder what he have eaten, he’s nice to me today, well, maybe because it my birthday. *she said while looking to the necklace given by BH, and she wears it* this is the first gift I receive for my birthday. I’ll treasure this.

            BH goes to a nearby store to buy firecrackers.

CHAP 19: OPPA

All of them didn’t notice the time, when they finally meet up, it was past midnight, PL, CD and BG enjoyed watching the live performers, and HJ and BH enjoyed playing firecrackers at the park.

PL: *yawns* I didn’t notice the time. It’s already past midnight.

HJ: *yawns, also sleepy* ahh…. I’m too tired, I want to sleep.

CD: do you think we can find a bus to go back? *he asked them*

BG: I don’t think so. It’s already late,

BH: why don’t we just stay on a hotel, it’s dangerous if we travel this late.

HJ: *agrees* yeah, it’s a good a idea, really want to rest now

PL: let’s go, I also want to sleep.

            All of them checked in a hotel, they reserved 2 rooms, PL and HJ and together while the boys stay in the other room.

HJ: *sleepy, inside their room* goodnight PL-ah.

PL: goodnight HJ-ah.

            The next morning, they agreed to meet in the hotel lobby to have breakfast together as usual the girls are the first one to arrive. It was 8:00am

HJ: where are they? I’m already hungry. *she complains*

PL: let’s wait a little longer.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She and PL are waiting on the hotel lobby when she receives a phone call from Yoon Si Yoon (SY).

HJ: *phone rings* hello.

SY: hello, HJ-ah

HJ: *recognized the voice one the other line* ohh?? Si Yoon-oppa

            Pulip on the other hand got curious of the person HJ’s talking because HJ never called anyone oppa before, not even their school seniors HJ never call any of them as oppa, she would rather call them sunbae-nim. It was only BH that HJ called in an affectionate way of Seobang *husband* and the rest are all by their names. But now the person on the phone, she calls him oppa and that triggers her curiosity.

Hyun Jung’s Flashback

It was 5 years ago, it was HJ’s first day in her new school, she was walking on the hallway when she accidentally dropped her things on the floor, and she started picking them up when a kind person helps her picking them up.

 SY: *helps HJ picking her things* here. *he said in English, giving her, her sketch pad*

HJ: *looks to the person who helped her* thank you. *she replied and bows to him*

            That was their first meeting, and later that day, during lunch time HJ was eating alone in the cafeteria since she still don’t know anyone. Then someone approach her.

SY: *walks toward HJ’s table with a tray of food* may I join you? *now he said in Korean*

HJ: *looks to see who it was and saw that is was the same person that helps her this morning* sure. *she replied in Korean*

SY: *smiles* Kamsahamnida(thanks) *still in korean*

HJ: *smiles* so you’re a Korean *she said*

SY: yeah, I haven’t introduced myself yet, I’m Yoon Si Yoon, You’re a new student right?

HJ: *nods* I’m Na Hyun Jung, yeah I just transferred here. How about you?

SY: I transferred here last year. *he answered*

HJ: *nods* ohh… then you’re my sunbae, I should call you SY-sunbae *she said and then smiles*

SY: *smiles* I’m not that old. *he joked* how about you call SY-oppa? I prefer that than sunbae,

HJ: *smiles* oppa?

SY: *nods* ohh… call me oppa. Since no one calls me oppa here, you can call me that. Try it

HJ: *hesitant* oooo……ohhhh…..oppa. *she said quickly*

SY: *smiles* there you go. So can we be friends? *he asked HJ*

HJ: *smiles* aren’t we friends already? *she joked*

SY: *laughs* haha.. yeah, I guess we are friends now.

HJ: Thank you.

SY: *confused* for what?

HJ: you’re the first friend I made in this school so I’m thankful that I already have a friend. I thought I’m going to be alone for a while.

SY: *shakes his head* nah… I don’t think that would happen, you seem to a pretty good person, even though you don’t know me, you let me share the table with you. And beside you look really friendly I’m sure going to make alots of friends.

            That was their first meeting, ever since that day HJ and SY has become a very good friend to each other. They always help each other with their school works.

CHAP 20: Tour

Pulip’s POV

            After HJ receives a phone call HJ immediately leaves her.

HJ: *hangs the phone and look at PL* PL-ah, I need to go now, I won’t be able to join you guys for breakfast I need to go somewhere.

PL: *curious* where are you going?

HJ: I’m going to meet SY-oppa, sorry, I need to go now. bye *stands up and leaves the lobby*

Chan Doo’s POV

            He, BG and BH are walking on the lobby when he saw HJ leaves PL behind. Then they walk towards PL who was sitting.

CD: where did HJ go? She seems to be in a hurry

BG: did she forget something on your room?

PL: *shakes her head* no, she said she is going to meet someone.

            They were all eating together when BG said something.

BG: PL-ah, did HJ tell you who is she going to meet?

PL: she said she is going to meet “SY-oppa”

CD: *shocked* mwoh? Oppa?

BG: who might that be?

PL: I don’t know,

BG: maybe HJ’s boyfriend? *he jokingly*

PL/CD: *shocked with BG’s conclusion* Mwoh?!

CD: yah! BG it’s impossible. *he said*

BG: why is it impossible?

CD: *it’s impossible because I know that HJ still loves BH, but I can’t say that.  I know that HJ is also having a hard time being with BH all this time* just that…..

BG: we all know that HJ is really pretty and she is nice. If only she wasn’t really in love with BH when we are in high school I know HJ will have many suitors.

CD: *looks at BH, he didn’t say anything since they started to eat, he shows no interest on what they are talking about*

BH: *he didn’t say anything, but he was bothered with what they were talking about, what if BG was right?*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            As soon as the phone calls end she leaves PL and the others. It was SY on the other line, he just returned to Korea. HJ is going to meet him. They meet in a mall.

HJ: *as soon as she saw SY standing in front of a store she shouts* oppa!

SY: *smiles* ohh…. You came…

HJ: why didn’t you tell me that you are back?

SY: *laughs* haha….That’s what I just do earlier. Didn’t I call you to tell you I’m back?

HJ: when did you come back?

SY: 2 days ago.

HJ: ohh... why did you come back?

SY: *sigh* my mom, keeps nagging me to learn how to manage our business.

HJ: *concern* but how about your photography?

SY: don’t worry; she says that I can still continue my photography.

HJ: that’s a relief then. Wait. When was the last time that you visited Korea?

SY: 6 years ago, since I left here to study photography this is the first time I came back. Why?

HJ: whoa! Six years. Then, let me be your tour guide for today,

SY: *smiles* really?

HJ: ohh…

SY: so where is our first destination?

HJ: *smiles* first we’re going to have a food trip, I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. Let’s eat ddukbokki (spicy rice cake)

SY: what? You still haven’t eaten anything?

HJ: yeah, nevermind that, we are going to eat something anyway. I’m sure you missed eating ddukbokki since we don’t have that there.

SY: *smiles* yeah, I also want to eat kimchi.

HJ: don’t worry we are going to eat all that you want today.

SY: you’re the boss

            HJ and SY were together the whole day. HJ showed SY around the city, they also went to an art gallery, they really like arts, HJ likes to paint while SY likes photography, though he also likes paintings.

CHAP 21: Accident

A few days passed, HJ received a call from her mother, she says that she wants to meet her, so she just agreed. She went to a restaurant inside a mall. As she was about to enter she also happens to see SY.

HJ: *walks toward the resto and saw SY also walking toward* ohh?? Oppa? What are you doing here?

SY: *see HJ* HJ-ah, I’m going to meet my mom here. You?

HJ: *smiles* really? I’m also going to meet someone.

SY: is that so? *then he sees her mom on a nearby table with someone, they were both waving at them*

HJ: *saw her mom waving at her with a friend beside her, she walks toward them*

SY MOM: son, come here *she called SY*

HJ MOM: HJ-ah, come sit here *she also calls HJ*

HJ/SY: *they both look at each other with a confuse eye*

SY MOM: I’m glad that you still know each other.

SY: what do you mean still?

SY MOM: don’t you remember HJ?

SY: *confused* I do, she’s my college junior,

HJ MOM: *looks at HJ* HJ-ah, don’t you remember this ahjjuma (auntie) she always gives you chocolate when she visits us, and she also brings her son as your playmate, remember?

HJ: *thinks, (now she remembers that she does have a playmate before and an auntie that always gives her chocolate*)

SY/HJ: *look at each other* wait… don’t tell me…. *they both say at the same time*

SY MOM: yes son, she is you old playmate.

SY: *amused by what he discovered* whoa!!! I can’t believe it was you.

HJ: *also the same* me too, I never thought that my old playmate you. *she said as he taps his shoulder*

SY: *smiles* you used to be a little back then, and now you’re all grown up.

HJ: *laughs* haha.

SY: by the way, I know it’s too late to ask this, but didn’t you fall from the tree when we’re young and you leg need to be casted, so how was it now?

HJ: *smiles* ohh… this.. *she said as she taps her leg* it’s ok now, as you can see, I can run really fast. So it’s ok now.

SY: that’s a relief then.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He was on a mall buying some groceries when he saw HJ on a restaurant happily talking to a guy next to her; he even saw that HJ taps his shoulder. When he saw that scene, he feels something, he didn’t know what it was it, but he wasn’t happy with what he saw.

BH: *walking on the mall* ohh?? It’s HJ. Who is she with? She looks happy. I never saw her laugh again like that. When she’s with us, she seems very cautious of her move. But why is she so happy with him? *he said to himself as he watches HJ from afar* wait, why am I talking to myself? *he said as soon as he realized that he was talking to himself* what if someone sees me? They might think I’m crazy, ohhh, no… I’m really talking to myself now. *then he leaves*

Si Yoon’s POV

            When their parent already left, HJ and SY are talking to each other.

SY: *smiles* I really can’t believe you’re my childhood friend.

HJ: *nods* me too, I’ve known you for 5 yrs now, but I never thought that you are my friend when I was a kid.

Pulip’s POV

            She misses HJ so she calls her.

PL: *calls HJ* Hello, HJ-ah

HJ: *phone rings* ohh.. PL-ah, sorry, I said I’d call you but I forgot.

PL: I think I should quit being your friend. *she said jokingly*

HJ: I’m really sorry PL-ah,

PL: you always forget about me. Is that how you treat a friend? *she said again, but she wasn’t serious about that*

HJ: don’t be mad PL, I didn’t really mean, I’ll make it up to you.

PL: really?      

HJ: ohh… you’re not mad anymore?

PL: no,

After the phone call, HJ is walking on the street when she saw a little boy chasing for his ball that rolls on the road. Then the boy suddenly cross the road not knowing there’s a car coming on his way.

HJ: *she saws the boy, then she quickly runs toward the little boy and hug him tightly, then before she knew it, she was the one that was hit by the car* are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere? *she manages to say before she faints*

            Then some of the by passers saw what happened and called an ambulance, the mother of the boy she saves is the one that accompanies her to the hospital.

CHAP 22: Dream or Reality?

 HJ was rushed in the Seoul Hospital; it was a good thing that she only receive minor injuries. The driver immediately stepped on the break so the impact wasn’t that strong.

N1: you won’t believe who was just admitted here a moment ago *she said*

N2: *curious* who?

N1: it was Na Hyun Jung,

N3: Na Hyun Jung? You mean the painter?

N1: *nods* yeah, she was involve in a minor car accident while trying to save a little kid.

N3: *amazed* whoa! You mean she risked her life to save a little kid?

N1: yeah, it was the mother of the kid she save that brings her here.

N2: how was she now?

N1: she’s already sleeping on her room.

N3: wait, isn’t she a friend of Dr. BH?

N1: yeah, I saw her visit Dr. BH before,

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He was walking when he heard his name being mentioned by the one of nurse, in the nurse station so he walks toward them and asked

BH: I heard my name, what are you talking about?

N2: *startled* ohh…? Dr. BH.

N1: you know Na Hyun Jung right?

BH: *nods* yeah, why?

N1: she was admitted here just a while ago.

BH: *surprised* Mwoh? (what?) what happened to her?

N1: she was involved in car accident while trying to save a kid. She is sleeping now at the room 203 *she explains*

            Upon hearing what happened to HJ he immediately runs to her room to check her condition. He just saw her yesterday, happily talking to a guy. And now she is in the hospital. He reached HJ’s room and slowly opens the door. He saw HJ sleeping; he slowly walks toward her and just looks at her for a moment. Seeing her lying on a hospital bed reminds him of the incident 5yrs ago, when HJ was taken by some bad people and he goes to the club to search her, but they hide her on a different place. He remembered that they both ended up being hospitalized. He never thought that he would see her again lying there in which he couldn’t do anything

HJ: *frowns, it was as if she was having a bad dream*

BH: *he saw HJ’s reaction and stands near the bed* do they also bother you in your dream? Don’t worry, nothing bad will happen to you. It’s just a dream. *he said to HJ, then he put his thumb between HJ’s eyebrows to prevent her from frowning*

HJ: *stops frowning*

BH: there, you look much better like that. *he said while staring at HJ,* goodnight, sleep well.

            He was about to walk out of the when he heard HJ’s voice calling him.

HJ: *dizzy, she saw a familiar figure and calls him* BH-ah…????

BH: *looks back (when did she wake up? )* You need to sleep some more. You need to rest.

HJ: *she was still dizzy so she just follows BH’s order, but before that she calls him again* seobang….

BH: * it was the first time he heard HJ calls him again like that, the last time was when she send him to the college, and she says that it would be the last time she would call him that. So he was surprised* ohh??

HJ: Thank you.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She is having a dream, she hears someone talking to her, and it was a guy’s voice. He was talking to her. Then suddenly she felt a kiss on her forehead, the one who was talking to her kissed her on the forehead. He was comforting her, saying that everything is alright.

            HJ’s wakes up the next morning, her body aches, specially her left arm. She can’t remember what happened the last day, all she can remember was she runs to a boy and hug him tightly after that was all blank. One of the nurses enters her room to do a routine.

HJ: *saws the nurse enters and asked* hmm… excuse me. Where am I?

N1: you’re in the Seoul Hospital Ma’am, you we’re admitted here last night.

HJ: *thinks* ohh…. Thank you.

            HJ tries to remember what happened last night

HJ: *touches her head* I had a dream last night, someone is talking to me. *touches her forehead* and that person kissed my forehead, but it felt so real…. wait….. I also saw BH there….

            Then BH asked the nurse that just went out of HJ’s room

BH: how was she? *he asked*

N1: she’s ok now, she’s already up, so you can visit her Dr. BH

BH: oh? Is that so? Thanks.

            As BH heads towards HJ room, he saw her talking to herself. 

CHAP 23: At the Hospital

She was resting because her head still hurts; she was lying on the bed when her phone rings.

HJ: *phone rings* hello? *she said is a weak voice*

SY: hello, HJ-ah, did you go home safe yesterday?

HJ: Ohh…

SY: *he noticed HJ voice* did something happen? Why is your voice so weak??

HJ: no, nothing happened.

SY: are you sure? You don’t sound really good.

HJ: ahh,,, well,, I just met a little accident yesterday. But I’m ok now, so don’t worry.

SY: *shocked* mwoh?!! (what?!!) What accident? Where are you now??

HJ: *smiles, SY was really worried* I’m at the Seoul Hospital now, but I’ll be discharge later. So, no need to worry.

SY: ok, I’ll go there. Ahh… did you call auntie? She must be worried.

HJ: ah..!! Wait! Don’t tell her. Don’t tell anyone that I’m here. Ok??

SY: *curious* but why?

HJ: just…. I don’t want her to worry. Promise me…

SY: ok.

HJ: *smiles* thanks SY-oppa

Baek Hyun’s POV    

After their phone call BH enters the room. He heard some of the conversation of HJ and SY.

HJ: *looks at the door* ohh…. BH-ah, what are you doing here?* BH didn’t answer her, smiles* hehe, stupid question, you’re a doctor so you’re supposed to be in a hospital.

BH: *pretends to be mad* yah! Is that how you define ok now? Your arm is full of bruises and you say you’re ok?

HJ: *startled by BH* aish….. Scared me *she said while touching her chest* why are you yelling? You startled me. I could have gotten a heart attack! Are you trying to kill me? *she complains*

BH: *shakes his head* no. you are the one that is trying to kill yourself. What do you think you’re doing rushing on the street when you know there’s a car coming on your way?

HJ: I can’t let a little kid be hit by a car, you know?

BH: so you let yourself be hit instead? Don’t you think? *he argues*

HJ: yah! How can you think in that situation? And you know. Not thinking works for me.*she joked* what’s important is I saved a life.

BH: so you think it’s important that you saved a life? But, don’t you think your life is much more important? You pabbo (silly)

HJ: *she was surprised by BH’s word* I’m alive so it’s ok. *she manages to say*

BH: *nods* yeah you’re lucky this time. But, how about next time? *he still argues*

HJ: yah! I’m the patient here. Why are you constantly arguing with me?

BH: I’m not arguing with you, I’m just reminding you not to be stupid next time.

HJ: Mwoh?! (what?!) who are you calling stupid? You conceited doctor.

BH: Mwoh?! (what?!) con…..conceited?

HJ: *touches her head* yah, don’t you have any works to do? Instead of arguing here with me

BH: I told you I’m not arguing with you.

HJ: *smiles* but that is what exactly you are doing right now.

BH: aish… ok, I’m leaving. I don’t want to argue anymore. *he said while turning his body to the door*

HJ: *laughs* hahaha….. see, you admitted it. You’re arguing with me.

BH: *smiles* whatever! *then he leaves, seeing how HJ argue back with him, she must be really oh he thougt*

HJ: ahh.. BH-ah *she calls him* by chance, did you went here last night?

BH: *looks back and shakes his head* no,

HJ: ohh.. so it’s really just a dream. *she said while watching BH leaves*

            After BH leaves HJ’s room, a few hours later there’s someone that knocks at the door.

HJ: *hears the knock* are you here to argue with me again? *she said thinking that it was BH*

SY: *smiles* huh? It’s me.

HJ: *smiles* ohh… SY-oppa, what are you doing here?

SY: what else? I’m visiting you. *he said* but it looks like you’re expecting someone else to come.

HJ: *shakes her head* no. no…

SY: here. *rising his arm, holding a plastic* I bought some fruits. What do you like Orange, grapes or apple? *he asked*

HJ: apple. *she replied plainly*….. oppa, can you help me arrange the papers, I want to go home now. The doctor says I can be discharge once the dextrose is done.

CHAP 24: My Feelings?

Baek Hyun’s POV

            Hyun Jung was already discharged out of the hospital; he was on a break sitting on the cafeteria on the hospital when someone approaches him. It was one of his co doctors

BH: *lost in his thought, he was worried if HJ is ok* ohh? When did you come?

DR: *smiles* what are you thinking? You didn’t even notice I’m here.

BH: nothing, I’m just tired *he says it as an excuse*

DR: really? But it doesn’t look like that. *he said while wearing a teasing smile on his face*

BH: what do you mean by that?

DR: *still smiling* let me guess, it’s about a girl, right?

BH: *surprised* Mwoh?!

DR: *laughs* haha, I’m right? It is Na Hyun Jung? Worried much now that she is out of the hospital?

BH: yah! Where did you get that idea? I’m not thinking about her.

DR: *nods* really? I thought she was your girlfriend

BH: you’re wrong, she is not.

DR: but you like her? *he asked*

BH: *he can’t believe what he just heard* Mwoh?! She is just my friend. Stop talking nonsense already.

DR: *serious* know why is it that sometimes, when we love someone, we don’t show it? We don’t let that special someone feels it?

BH: *shakes his head* no

DR: is it because of our pride, Self-denial? Fear of rejection? Or is it because we don’t want to deal with the reality of pain when we lose them?

BH: *hearing what his friend doctor is saying, he was thinking at the same time (do I really like HJ? When I heard that she was admitted here last night I was so worried that I run to her room. Seeing her sleep makes her look so vulnerable, I don’t know what comes on my mind that time that I kissed her forehead. Then does it mean I like her? No. no. it can’t be. She is just my friend, yeah, right!, A friend. *he said as he tries to convince himself about how he feels about HJ*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She is resting in her house when she hears the doorbell, she wasn’t expecting any visitor so she didn’t know who it was, and she walks outside her room to see who it was.

 HJ: I wonder who might that be.*then she looks at the intercom*

Pulip’s POV

            She heard what happened to HJ so she decided to pay her a visit on her house, it’s been a while since the last time she has been there, she remembered the time they spent the night there together and after that they became good friends with each other.

PL: *doorbells*

HJ: *looks at the intercom* ohh?? PL-ah, what are you doing here? *then she opens the door*

PL: *worried* are you really ok? Are you hurt anywhere?

HJ: *smiles* I’m fine. No need to worry, I just have some minor bruises but I’m ok. But how did you know?

PL: BH tells us.

HJ: BH??

PL: *nods* ohh… he said that you were admitted to the hospital he works, and says that we should pay you a visit if we are not busy, but then it’s so much like you, you leave the hospital without telling any of us.

HJ: *smiles* hehe, I don’t want to stay there for too long, and besides the doctor says I can leave.

PL: yeah, wait,,, have you already eaten?

HJ: *shakes her head* no.

PL: *smiles* good, I bought some food to the market before going here. I’ll cook for you. What do you want?

HJ: *happy* really?

PL: ohh…

HJ: thank you.

PL: ok, let’s go to the kitchen.

            After a few minutes PL finished cooking and the table is already set, HJ is already sitting.

HJ: *sniffs* Whoa!! It looks really tasty.

PL: you should eat a lot. Since, I cooked it for you.

HJ: *nods* oh.. *then she starts eating*

PL:  eat some vegetables too. *place a vegetable on her bowl*

            After eating they spent their remaining time talking and watching movies.

PL: bye, HJ-ah, I’ll call you later, ok?

HJ: ohh… careful on your way home.

PL: ohh…*waves*

CHAP 25: Plan, Baking Cake

Days go by real quick. A month has passed since HJ accident, they still keep in touch with each other, they call each other and sometimes they all eat together.

HJ: *phone rings* hello?

PL: HJ-ah, where are you?

HJ: I’m on my way back home, why? Is something wrong?

PL: no, no, but can you come here at the café?

HJ: ok, ok, I’ll be there.

            At PL’s café.

HJ: *she saw PL & BH sitting* ohh..? BH-ah, you’re also here.

BH: *nods*

HJ: *looks at PL* so why did you ask me here?

PL: ahh,, remember that tomorrow is CD’s birthday.

HJ: *smiles* really? What do you plan to do?

PL: I still don’t know,

HJ: hmm… *excited* why don’t we bake a cake for him?

BH: do you even know how to cake? *he said in a sarcastic way*

HJ: *looks at BH* of course, I can. I used to bake when we are in high school.

PL: really?!

HJ: *nods* ohh.. Though I didn’t bake after we graduated, but I know I can still bake.

PL: is that so?

HJ: so let’s just meet here in the morning?

PL: ok. BH-ah, can you accompany HJ tomorrow?

BH: *shocked* me? Why me?

PL: HJ need someone to help her with the things she needs

HJ: *seeing BH reaction* I’m ok PL-ah, I can handle myself no need to bother BH

BH: ok, ok, I’ll help…

HJ: *sigh (when it comes to PL you can really never say no)* ok. Then I’ll be going.

            The next day, HJ, BH and PL are on the kitchen, preparing for the things needed for the cake, PL is now measuring all the ingredients. While HJ is just eating and eating on the kitchen.

BH: *looks at HJ who is eating the icing for the cake* yah! Na Hyun Jung, you’re not helping at all, you’re just eating and eating. And you say you can bake?

HJ: *looks at BH* yah! Who says I’m not helping? I’m tasting the icing and the other food, to see if it’s edible and safe to eat. *she joked*

BH: Yah!! Still not going to help?

HJ: *startled* aish….ok, ok. I’m helping. *then she snatch the flour bag BH is holding, she put some strength on her hand then the flour bag burst, and BH is full of flour all over *

BH: *he is covered with flour all over his face* yah! You want to die?!

HJ: *smiles* ooppsss…. Sorry, my bad. *then stick her tongue out*

BH:*snatches the bag from HJ and throws flour at her* haha!!

            Then the 2 of them started playing with the flour, BH chases HJ all around the kitchen.

HJ: *laughs* ahh…. Sorry, I’m wrong. I’m wrong.

BH: *hold HJ arm* now you know you are wrong.

HJ: *smiles, while looking at PL who was busy* there. *she said pointing at PL*

BH: *smiles then nods, their target has been change to PL*

PL: *noticed that the place becomes silent then when she looks for the 2 troublemakers they were looking at her while smiling she sense that there is something wrong* yah! Why are you 2 looking at me like that?

            Without a word the 2 of them start throwing flour at PL.

PL: yah! Aish… you 2.!

BH: what are we?

PL: you 2 look good together. *smiles*

HJ: *blushes* yah! What are you saying?! *takes the flour* let’s continue to work

            Few minutes later the cake was done, they decorated it with icing.

HJ: *happy* yes! All done. I’m going home first. Let’s just meet after. Ok?

PL: ohh… thank you  HJ-ah, and BH

BH: *smiles* no problem, CD is also my friend.

BH/HJ: bye.

PL: see you.

Chap 26: Chan Doo’s Birthday Presents

After a few hours they all meet at a karaoke bar. Looks the same as the one that HJ and CD went before,   it was already late afternoon.

CD: *happy* whoa! I didn’t expect that all of you would remember my birthday, I thought you forget it

HJ: *smiles* why?

CD: because I didn’t receive any message from any of you since yesterday, but it turns out that you are preparing for this.

PL: *smiles* here. *takes out the cake they baked this morning* HJ, BH and I prepared this for you.

CD: *delightful* whoa! You even baked cake for me? Thank you very much.

HJ: that’s not all…

BH: we also prepared some presents for you. Here *giving him a box*

CD: *takes the box* what is this?

BH open it.

CD: *when he opens it, it was a shoes* whoa! Thank you BH ahh…

BG: here, this is my gift. *gives him the gift*

CD: thank you BG-ah….*he opens is and it was a coat*

PL: here *she also says*

CD: *smiles* thanks PL-ah *opens it and it was a music player since he like listening to music*

            Meanwhile HJ is struggling on getting her gift which she hid under the table,

HJ: *sigh, then smiles* ahh…. Got it. *referring to the guitar case she is holding* here. *he gives him the guitar*

CD: *smiles* whoa! It’s a guitar. Thank you HJ-ah.

HJ: *nods* ohh…. I remembered that you like guitar. So I thought that’s what I should give you.

CD: *smiles* hehe, so do you also remember threatening me before using my guitar? Huh?

HJ: *pretends not to remember* huh? What are you talking about?

CD: you really don’t remember? I told you to keep my guitar for a while cause Dad will be mad if he saw it then you use it to threaten me to come with you to Ba….*he was about to say Baek hyun’s house when HJ cut him off.*

BH: *he cuts CD from saying BH’s house, it was the time when she asked him to come with her because she was afraid of BH’s grandma* yah!!! I remember now, no need to remind me.

BG: why don’t we just eat the cake?

PL: *nods* ok…. Let’s cut it.

CD: *eats* whoa! It’s really tasty. Are you sure you three baked this?

HJ: *nods*

CD: you didn’t buy it?

PL:  thanks, we tried our best to do that. HJ and BH helped a lot.

Then they all happily eat the cake, after a few minutes.

PL: CD-ah, why don’t you sing for us?

HJ: *nods* ohh….you should. Ahh… but please don’t sing a depressing song again huh….*she said*

PL: *confused* again? You 2 went on a karaoke bar before?

CD: *nods* ohh… HJ sings so well, *showing a 2 thumbs up*

PL: really? whoa! Na Hyun Jung! Show it to us…..

HJ: *shakes her head* no, no, CD is just exaggerating it. I don’t sing that well.

CD: of course you do. You could have been an idol if you tried to audition somewhere.

PL: *really wants to hear HJ sings* please?? HJ-ah?? Just one? Just this one? Ok??

HJ: *sigh* aish…..ok. but CD must come and sing with me.

CD: *eyes wide open* me? Why me??

HJ: because I need someone to play the guitar, you should sing too..

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She and CD walk and stand up in front. CD sat on a chair tuning the guitar. Then he starts playing it, waiting for her to begin the song. But she was so nervous that her voice wouldn’t come out. It’s not because of stage fright or something; it was all because BH was looking at her.

HJ: *my voice won’t come out. She looks at CD and shakes her head*

            He started playing the guitar and waiting for HJ to start the song, but a few moments passed HJ still hasn’t started

            She was listening at HJ and CD who was now singing in front, she was surprised that they are really good.

PL: *whisper at BH* whoa! Don’t you think they’re good?

BH: *leans his head to hear PL, then smiles* yeah, I also think that, I didn’t think that those 2 have a hidden talent for singing.

PL: *nods, smiles* ohh…. Right, CD was right, HJ could become an idol. She’s really good.

Hyun Jung POV

            She and CD are singing in front, at first she was really nervous, but when CD started singing, she follows, then she saw BH and PL whispering at each other, they seem to be talking about something and smiling at each other. But then she still continues to sing.

HJ: *you still won’t notice me (she said on her mind)*

Chan Doo’s POV

            He started the first line of the song along with the guitar HJ gave him as a birthday present, soon after he begins singing HJ follow.

CD: *smiles, seeing HJ follows singing*

HJ: *smiles* really?? thanks BG-ah, you’re sweet.

PL: whoa! HJ. Why didn’t tell us you sing that well? Right? BH-ah? *she nudges BH*

HJ: *how would he know. He wasn’t even listening. (She thought)*

BH: *nods* ohh…. You 2 did well. *he didn’t know what to say, but seeing them sing together and it looks like they are enjoying it, he wasn’t sure of what he is feeling, even the thought that they have also done this before*

CD: *being praised by PL he was really happy* thank you…

Hyung Jung’s POV

            She went out of the karaoke bar and takes a few walk, she ended up in the playground in front of the bar, she seated on the swing.

HJ: *sigh* what should I do? I know BH likes PL. but CD also likes PL, and are both my friends. If I’m going to be selfish I want CD for PL, but I think PL also likes BH. *sigh* ahhh…. I really don’t know what to do anymore. *she said then she hit her head with both of hands*

Si Yoon’s POV

            He was doing some street photography when he spotted HJ coming out from a karaoke bar, she sits on the swing on the playground nearby, he decided to go to her, then he hears HJ talking to herself and even hitting herself, HJ didn’t notice him.

SY: *confused* why are you hitting yourself?

HJ: *looks up* ohh? Oppa.? What are you doing here?

SY: I’m doing some street photography. *he replies then also sits on the other swing* you, what are doing here? Hitting yourself.?

HJ: *embarrass, smile* hehe… nothing. Don’t mind that. It’s my friend’s birthday today so we come to celebrate; I just went out to take some air.

SY: *nods* ohh….

HJ: *silence the she speaks* oppa.

SY: ohh?? *he answered her without looking at her, he was staring at the stars above them*

HJ: can I ask you something?

SY: *looks at HJ* what is it?

SY: yeah *he answered plainly*

SY: *he likes teasing HJ* so you should hold tightly if you don’t want to fall. *he said as he continues to push HJ on the swing*

Pulip’s POV

PL: *noticed HJ still not back* it’s been 20min since HJ left. Why isn’t she coming back?

BG: *nods* yeah,

PL: why don’t we look for her..?

CD: *smiles* great idea. *looks at BH* BH-ah, why don’t you look for HJ outside and tell her to come in.?

CD: just go.

            Then BH leaves them and searches for HJ outside.

            At last SY stopped pushing her on the swing.

SY:*looks at his watch* you’ve out here for almost 20min, aren’t they looking for you?

HJ: ohh…I forgot, I should be back now.

SY: yeah, you should be. Bye. *walks away*

HJ: wait… how about you meet them?

SY: *shakes his head* no, I don’t think it’s a good idea

HJ: why not? Don’t worry, they won’t eat you. They are good persons.

SY:  *smiles* I know they are.

HJ: then why not? Come on… huh??

            Then HJ went back to the karaoke bar.

PL: ohh…HJ-ah, you’re back, did you see BH?

HJ: no why?

PL: she went out to look for you.

HJ: ohh…I didn’t saw him. But I have someone I’d like all of you to meet.

CHAP 29: Meeting my Friends

Pulip’s POV

            HJ is back. She wants to introduce someone to them.

PL: *curious* who?

HJ: *drags SY inside the room* here. SY-oppa, these are my friends. Everyone, this is Si Yoon *she introduces him*

SY: *smiles* hello, I’m Yoon Si Yoon *bows* nice to meet you

PL: *smiles* I’m Kil Pulip

CD: I’m Hong Chan Doo

BG: and I’m Oh Bong Goo.

            As they introduce themselves to SY the door opens.

BH: *he didn’t find HJ out so he decided to go back and tell the others* I can’t find HJ *he says as he open the door*

HJ: *hears BH and look at the door* I’m back. *looks at SY* oppa, this is Hwang Baek Hyun, Baek hyun-ah this is Si-Yoon oppa.

SY: *looks at BH* hello, I’m Yoon Si Yoon. Nice to meet you *bows*

BH: *he gives him a cold welcome of * hello. *cold voice*

            They all chatted inside the karaoke room. At last it’s already midnight that they all decided to go home. Outside the karaoke bar, PL and CD take a walk together leaving HJ, BH, and SY.

SY: do you want me to walk you till the bus station? *he offers*

BH: *he can see that HJ is smiling at SY (seriously?!  What’s wrong with me? It’s not like it’s my business who she talked to or even smile.) He told himself*

HJ: *SY already leaves, looks at BH* aren’t you going home BH-ah?

BH: I am…. Bye! *then he turns around not waiting for HJ’s answer*

HJ: what’s wrong with him? He was ok just this morning..

            She didn’t go home straight, she stayed at the playground for a while, and she sat again on the swing, while watching the stars.

Chan Doo’s POV

            Pulip told him to not send her home since he is carrying so much staffs, the presents he just receive, so they part ways at the bus station, he decided to go back to the playground, he wants to savour the moment, he was so happy because he got spend his birthday with his friend specially with PL and the fact the she also baked cake for him. As he walks to the playground he saw HJ sitting on the swing lost in her thought. He walks near her and joins her on the swing.

HJ: *looks at the person who joins her* CD-ah, I thought you send PL back?

CD: *nods* ohh, but she says I should go back, cause I’m carrying this stuffs.

HJ: ohh… then what are you doing here? Instead of going home

CD: that’s what I should ask you, what is a girl doing here alone?

HJ: since you’re here I’m not alone now.. *smiles*

CD: *confused* huh?

HJ: *shakes her head* nothing.

            Then they just sit there and watched the stars. HJ noticed that CD is smiling to himself, he is already using PL’s gift, that’s why.

HJ: *smiles while watching CD*

CD: *noticed HJ is staring at him* why?

HJ: *shakes her head* nothing, its’ just that you’re fun to watch while you are smiling at yourself. Are you that happy? *she teases him*

CD: *smiles and nod* ohh…

HJ: PL is really lucky to have someone like you

CD: BH is also lucky to have you HJ-ah,

HJ: *looks at CD* you think so?

CD: *nods* ohh,,, he just hasn’t realize it himself….but, HJ-ah, can I ask you something?

HJ: aish… why do you have so many questions for a guy? Seriously? *she joked* what is it? If it’s about my birthday again, forget it, I’m not telling.

CD: it’s not about that.

HJ: so what is all about?

CD: You and Si Yoon seem to be very close to each other, you seem comfortable around him.

HJ: *confused* so? Your point is?

CD: by chance do you like him?

Chap 30: Si Yoon, Hyun Jung, Baek Hyun

Hyun Jung POV

            She was sitting on the playground when CD came and joins her, after a few minutes CD came up with a question,

CD: do you like him?

HJ: *stops the swing* ohh… I like… *she plainly reply*

CD: *shocked O.O this wasn’t the reply he expected* WHAT!!!

HJ: *startled* Yah! What’s with that reaction?

CD: *slightly calmed* are you serious?

HJ: do I look like I’m joking?

CD: *still can’t believe* but……

HJ: SY-oppa is the person that makes me happy, whenever I’m sad he always manage to make me smile, without a fail. He is always there for me ever since I left Korea,

CD: *after hearing HJ’s explanation he said* anyone can make you happy by doing something special,…. But only someone special can make you happy without doing anything.

HJ: *smiles* I know that.

CD: then what about BH?

HJ: I like him….*she said plainly*

CD: yah! You can’t like them both. *he really can’t believe what he is hearing from HJ*

HJ: *smiles, seeing CD’s reaction she can’t help but to smile* do you like me?

CD: *another thing he can’t believe* what?!! wait…..no, I like PL you know that. *he tries to explain himself*

HJ: so you hate me? *pretends to be sad*

CD: it’s not like that. I like you … but only as a friend. *gets the point*

HJ: *smiles, now he gets what she means* now you know what I mean? Same as you, I like SY-oppa as my friend, as my brother.

CD: *smiles, now he understands* whoa!! You are got me there HJ-ah

HJ: *nods* I know, you should have seen your expression. You’re looked so shocked. *laughs* haha

CD: haha…so it means that *he wants to make sure*

HJ: It simply means that I admire SY-oppa while I adore BH. Now is that clear, Mr. Hong Chan Doo?

CD: *nods*

HJ: *stands up* good, I’m going home now,

CD: why?

HJ: *smiles* I better leave before you came up with another question.

CD: is that so?

HJ: oh….it is… so bye… you should go home too.

CD:  ohh….

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He was walking on his way home, he keeps thinking about HJ and SY. The whole time that they were in the karaoke room, HJ is just only paying attention to SY. Just like when the ahjumma(AJM) deliver’s their dessert.

Baek Hyun’s Flashback

AJM: *opens the door* kids…here’s your dessert…*putting down a bowl of fruit salad*

BG: *excited* whoa!!! Thank you…

            Bong Goo started scooping some for him and also for the others.

ALL: thanks…

PL: hmmm… it’s delicious..

CD: really? *also tastes it* ohh.. It’s true…

HJ: *smiles* really… *also tastes it* hmm… it’s good.

BH: *didn’t say anything but also tastes it*

SY: *he was also about to take a spoonful of the salad when*

HJ: *she tastes something in the salad* wait….*she said making everyone startled then she looks at SY* oppa don’t eat it..*she said wagging her hand as a sign of no*

SY: *confused* why? You all said it’s delicious. Why can’t eat it?

HJ: it has some peach extract.. you’re allergic to peaches oppa, remember?

SY: is that so? *he says as he smells the salad* it’s a waste then, I can’t eat it. When you all said it’s good.

HJ: *smiles* it’s much better like this, do you want to end up like the last time?

SY: no.. That’s something I never imagine having again *laughs* haha

Chap 31: News

Sunday morning, HJ got bored on her house and decided to drop by at PL’s café.

HJ: *enters the cafe* Good morning PL-ah, *she greeted PL who was busy at the counter*

PL: *looks at HJ* Good morning HJ-ah, what are you doing here?

HJ: looks like it’s a busy day today *she noticed that there’s a lot of customer today*

PL: *nods* ohh, since its weekends.

HJ: *smiles* need some help? *she offers happily*

PL: no, it’s ok, you just sit there. I’ll be joining you after I’m done with this, have some breakfast first.

HJ: don’t worry, I won’t spill things like before.*she was referring the times they decided to help her on the part time job but she ended up spilling a lot of things*

PL: it’s not like that. *before she knew it, HJ already grabbed an employee’s apron and wears it*

HJ: *smiles* watch I’ll prove it. *turns to the door and greets the new customers that enters* Good morning sir *bows then smiles*

            The 2 new customers sat on an empty table. They are about the same age as them.

HJ: here’s the menu sir. *giving the menu*

GUY1: thanks. Are you new here?

HJ: yeah.

GUY2: I’ll take this *pointing at the set A of breakfast* and iced tea

GUY1: I’ll take the same.

HJ: ok, sir, two sets of A and 2 iced tea. Just wait minute, while we prepare your order *she said politely*

            HJ head to the counter and tell PL the order she takes.

HJ: *in a bragging tone* see.? Told you, I’m doing good right?

PL: *smiles* yeah, you’re doing good

            A few minutes passed the orders are ready; HJ delivers them to the table of the 2 guy

HJ: here’s your order sir. *placing the plates on the table* enjoy your food…*bows*

GUY1: *he was reading a newspaper when their order arrived, he place down the paper* thanks.

HJ: *she saw the newspaper* wait….sir, can I borrow your newspaper?

GUY1: *takes the newspaper* sure.  Here you go. *gives her the newspaper*

HJ: thank you.

            As soon as she got the newspaper, she started reading it. Then she runs to PL.

HJ: *excited* PL-ah, PL-ah *she calls her*

PL: *worried* what happened?

HJ: *placed the newspaper on the top of the counter* here look at this.

PL: *looks at the newspaper and reads the headline* HALLYU STAR RAIN WILL HELD A CONCERT. What do you want me to do about that?

HJ: *sigh* not that one. This one *she points news she wants her to read*

PL: *reads it* Byeong-Mun Highis going to have a reunion?!! *she exclaimed*

HJ: *smiles then nods* ohh….isn’t that great?

PL: ohh…it is…

            Then PL leaves the counter and sits at a empty table with HJ and reads the rest of the detail about the upcoming reunion.

PL: *reads* It says that all students from the regular class and the special class are invited to attend the reunion.

HJ: *happy* really? It means we can also come. When is it?

PL: it’s going to be this coming Saturday.

HJ: *shocked* what??! Saturday?!! This Saturday?!!

PL: *looks at HJ* oh.. why? is there a problem with that??

HJ: *nods* ohh….

PL: what?

HJ: I have a work that they. *she works as a free lance art consultant, since she studied arts* I’ll be organizing an art exhibition that day. And half of the profit that will be earned on that day will be donated to charities *she explains*

PL: *sad* it means you can’t come?

HJ: *sad* I’m afraid, but yes..

PL: *sigh* what should we do?

HJ: ahh… I really want to go as well. I’ve never seen others since I came back.

PL: the party starts at 6pm, maybe you could make it?

HJ: I’ll try. I wish the exhibit ends early so I can come.

PL: let’s ask the others if they are also coming.

Chap 32: Class Reunion

Baek hyun’s POV

            He was on a break, reading the newspaper from this morning, he has read the news about their upcoming reunion, and he called CD to ask if he was coming.

BH: *calls CD* hello

CD: *answers the phone* hello

BH: CD-ah, have you read the news?

CD: *confused* the news? What news?

BH: ohh…Byeong-Mun High is going to have a reunion

CD: *smiles* ohh.. about that.. yeah, PL called me earlier. Are you coming?

BH: I still don’t know if I’m coming. How about you?

CD: yeah, I might go. PL will also go.

BH: ohh, is that so? How about HJ?

CD: we’re not sure of HJ yet.

BH: why?

CD: PL says that HJ has a work that day, but she will try to come as soon as her work ends.

BH: ohh…

CD: so are you coming?

BH: I’ll think about it.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She is with PL when her phone rings.

HJ: *phone rings*

PL: answer it

HJ: *answers the phone* hello…..yeah….. I’ll be right there…..thanks…..*turns to PL* PL-ah, I need to go, there’s an art that arrive at the gallery, I need to check on it …

PL:*smiles* It’s ok, its’ your work. Just call me later when you’re done.

HJ: *nods* oh… bye

PL: ohh….call  me if you decide to come to the reunion, ok?

HJ: ok…

            Days passed by quickly, the day of the reunion of Byeong-Mun High finally arrives, PL and CD go together at the venue.

PL: *ask CD* what did BH says? Is he coming?

CD: *nods* yeah, he says his work was done so he can come, but he might get a little bit late.

PL: that’s ok, as long as he can come.

CD: how about HJ, did she say something?

PL: I called her this morning; she says that the exhibits begin at 10am till afternoon, so we are still not sure if she can come. Let’s just hope she will. *CD just smiles*

PL: *curious* why are you smiling?

CD: I’m just not used to HJ being so workaholic.

PL: *curious* why?

CD: remember? Out of all of us, HJ is the person, who will always find ways to have fun,

PL: *smiles* ohh,, oh,,, I remember…. I remember the time when we sneak out of the school late at night just to go to a boutique cause the bag she ordered arrive, and we ended up being chased by some gangster girl, and that was the time we became bestfriends.

CD: *smiles* really? Are they same gangsters that take HJ? That she needs to be hospitalized as well as BH?

PL: ohh…

CD: aish…. Those 2 really match when it comes in creating troubles.

PL: *laughs* haha…

            That moment BH arrives, he heard some of the conversation of CD and PL

BH: *hears CD’s comment* what?! yah! Hong Chan Doo, you dare to talk behind my back. *he pretends to be mad*

CD: *startled* BH? When did you come?

BH: *ignores his question* who are you calling troublemakers?

CD: no one…. *he denies* we are just chatting

BH: are you sure?

CD: ohh…

BH: why is it only the 2 of you? Where are HJ and BG? *he asked, but actually he only wants to know about HJ* they didn’t come? *he is a bit disappointed*

PL: it’s only 7pm, let’s just wait a little, HJ will make it.

Chap 33: Meeting Mason

Hyung Jung’s POV  

            She is still at the art exhibit, it’s already 5pm. She was thinking that maybe she really couldn’t make it

(she wears this during the exhibit)

HJ: *keeps looking at her wrist watch* I can’t really make it now.

BOSS: *noticed that HJ is always looking at the watch* HJ-ah, is there a problem? You keep looking at your watch?

HJ: *shakes her head* no. it’s nothing

BOSS: are you sure? You can tell me.

HJ: my high school class is going to have a reunion today.

BOSS: today? Why didn’t you tell me earlier? What time will it starts?

HJ: at 6pm, but it’s ok…we still have guest.

BOSS: 6pm? Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I could have sent you off earlier. There’s still 45min left before 6pm. You can go now.

HJ: *surprised* are you? but there’s still some guest.

BOSS: yeah, I can handle them, you go…. I don’t like to take the opportunity to you to meet your old friends, so hurry up. You still need to change. So hurry up.

HJ: *grateful* thank you…..I’ll be leaving now

            HJ leaves quickly and takes a taxi, she first went to her house to change, she tried calling PL but she is not answering. It’s now already 6pm when she reaches her house.

Baek Hyun’s POV

BH: it’s already 7:30pm, why is she still not here? *he thought to himself*

CD: BH-ah, PL and I are going to eat there. Want to come?

BH: no, I’m not hungry; I ate before I go here.

PL: aish…. Why did you eat, when you know you are going to a party? Just wait for us ok

BH: sorry. You guys go. I’ll eat later.

CD: ok… will be just over there.

BH: ohh….

Chan Doo’s POV

            He and PL are eating when one of the guest approaches them, it was their English teacher.

CD: *happy* sem!!

PL: *looks* sem!!

SM: look who we got here? It’s CD and PL. *she says as she taps both of their shoulder* but where is BG, BH and HJ?

CD: BG can’t come because of work, he in on a seminar now out of town.

SM: ohh…. Is that so? I’m glad he is doing well on his work.

PL: BH is over there. *pointing towards BH location*

SM: how about HJ? Did she come?

PL: she is organizing an art exhibit today, but she says that she’ll try.

SM: ohh…. Our HJ really has matured now.

PL: *smiles*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            Now she is all set and ready to go, she took a taxi to go to the venue when she arrived there it was already 7:45pm means she is 1hr 45min late.

(she wears at the reunion)

HJ: *relieve* ahh… I’m glad I make it. *she said to herself, then before she could finally walk to the crowd someone approaches her, it was a middle age lady carrying a little boy*

LDY: *walks at HJ and talks to her* excuse me. Can you please hold my child for a while *she said giving HJ and boy even before HJ could answer* I really need to go to the ladies room, I’ll be back again.

HJ: *startled but she takes the boy and is confused* wait… how can leave your son to a random stranger? *she says to the mother of the child as she goes to the ladies room, but she didn’t receive any answer, she looks at the boy* ohh?? He’s cute. *smiles* hello. *she starts to talk to the little boy* what’s your name?

BOY: *he answers her* Mason.

HJ: *smiles* ohh… that’s a cute name. How old are you Mason (MSN)?

MSN: 3 *he said using her hand showing 3 fingers*

HJ: so you’re 3. *she was happy talking to Mason when someone bumps her from the back*

???: *accidentally bumps to HJ:* sorry..

HJ: *slightly angry* careful, I’m holding a child here, can’t you see?

???: sorry, I didn’t mean to….. ohh..???

HJ: *she is now looking at the person who bumps her* ohh…???

            He is starting to get bored on his place; PL and CD are on the crowd talking with their old classmate from the regular class. HJ is still not there. So he just decided to leave

BH: *walks* maybe she is not coming after all. *he said as he walking, he wasn’t looking on way his when he accidentally bumps someone*sorry, *he said without looking whom he bumps*

???: careful, I’m holding a child here, can’t you see?

BH: *he was a bit startled* what a hot-blooded woman *he thought to himself, but then he knows it’s his fault* sorry, I didn’t mean to….. ohh..???*he says when he saw HJ*

Both: what are you doing here *they both say at the same time*

BH: I thought you couldn’t come? *he asked*

HJ: ohh… my boss let me off early so I make it here.

BH: ohh….

HJ: how about you? Where are you going? Leaving already?

BH: *shakes his head* no, I’m looking for CD and PL

HJ: ohh..

BH: *looks at the boy HJ is carrying* who is that?

HJ: *smiles* this is Mason, *turns to Mason* Mason say hello to BH-hyung

MSN: hello.

BH: *smiles* Hello Mason.

HJ: isn’t he cute? *she said to BH*

BH: *he noticed HJ is struggling carrying Mason* want me to help you carry him?

HJ: no it’s ok. I’m fine.

BH: he seems to be heavy. Let me just help you. *he was about to take Mason from HJ when someone interrupts them, it was Kim Hye Seung (HS, fictional, he is Kim Hye Seung from Jenny and Juno) their old classmate from regular class*

HS: *slowly walk towards BH and HJ* ohh?? Look who we have here? It was HJ and BH. So you 2 are still together. I’m surprised.

HJ: *smiles, she recognizes him* hello, Hye Seung, how are you?

HS: *smiles back at HJ* I’m good.

HJ: that’s good to hear

HS: yeah, it looks like you 2 are also doing well, that means I really have no chance at all now.

HJ: *the last sentence of HS made her confuse* huh? What do you mean?

HS: *smiles* well, I used to have a crush on you during our high school days. *he confessed*

BH: *he was surprised by HS confession to HJ, now he looking at HJ to see her reaction*

HJ: *she was shocked but then she smiles* really??

BH: *he was a bit irritated* what?

HJ: *smiles* he didn’t even talked to me before, and it turns out that he used to have a crush on me.

BH: *seeing HJ reaction, she was smiling* you like it that much, that you are smiling foolishly to yourself?

HJ: *she doesn’t like the tone of BH voice* Mwoh!! I’m smiling not because of that.

BH: then why are you so happy?

HJ: not because I’m smiling it means I’m happy; I’m smiling because He thinks that Mason is my son. And to add to that, he thought you are the father. When we know it’s far from reality.

BH: *the last word of HJ made him curious of what she mean* why do think that it is?

HJ: are you asking because you really don’t know why? Or you are just pretending not to know?

BH: *he is really getting irritated, (how is it impossible?) he thought in his mind* why would I ask if I already know the answer.

HJ: you should know it better than me, *I like you but you don’t like me that’s why it not possible (she said to her mind)*

Chap 35: Looking for BH and HJ

Pulip’s POV

She and CD left BH when they saw their English teacher. They talked for a while.

SM: how are you 2?

PL: I’m good, I’m managing my own café now.

SM: *happy* wow… I’m so happy for you PL-ah.

PL: thank you.

SM: *looks at CD* how about you CD?

CD: *smiles* I have my own dance studio now.

SM: really… wow, you finally have your dream come true.

CD: yeah…

SM: why don’t we go to BH? I miss him too.

PL: *nods* yeah,

CD: let’s go..

When they got there, they didn’t find BH

PL: ohh?? We just left him here, we told him to wait

CD: maybe he got bored.

SM: *sad* is that so? I really want to see him again though, and HJ. I really miss them; it’s a waste that HJ didn’t come.

PL: CD-ah, let’s look for BH, maybe he’s just somewhere,

CD: yeah, he wouldn’t leave without telling us

PL: sem we are just going to look for BH, we’ll be right back.

Then both CD and PL leave to search for BH

CD: yeah, let’s search for them.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            When Hye Seung leaves. BH’s attitude suddenly change.

HJ: *he was ok earlier, why is he mad now? (she thought)* me I don’t get it.

BH: *he doesn’t want to argue* never mind.

HJ: *nods* yeah, right, never mind, maybe your just hungry. *as she was saying it, a server passes by them holding a tray of cupcakes* ohh…cupcakes. *she takes one* Mason, you want cupcake?

MSN: *nods*

HJ: here *giving Mason a bite of cupcake* delicious? *she asked them she also takes a bite* hmmm…. Delicious.. here *giving Mason another bite*

BH: *he was watching HJ as she and Mason eats the cupcake, seeing how HJ eats she is no different to Mason he thought*

HJ: *noticed BH is staring at her* do you also want? *she asked extending her hand holding the cupcake*

BH: *shakes his head* no

HJ: then why are staring at me?

BH: I’m not staring at you. It’s just that the way you eat is no different than Mason. *he smiles*

HJ: *she is also getting irritated now, why is he also picking a fight on me (she thought)* yah!!

BH: *smiles* you have icing on your lips that why I said that.

HJ: *slightly calms down* ohh?? Is that so?? Here. *giving BH the cupcake so she can wipe it, because she is holding Mason on the other hand*hold this for a while

BH: *instead of taking the cupcake from HJ he says* stay still *then he wipes HJ’s lip with his thumb*

HJ: *she was really shocked with what BH did, but she was even more shocked with what he did next.*

Chap 36: Change

Baek Hyun’s POV

            Hyun Jung started to eat cupcake with Mason, when he noticed there’s some icing on her lips. He told HJ about it. But since HJ is holding Mason on the other hand and the cupcake on the other hand he decided to wipe it off for her.

BH: *instead of taking the cupcake from HJ he says* stay still *then he wipes HJ’s lip with his thumb*

HJ: *she was really shocked with what BH did, but she was even more shocked with what he did next.*

BH: *after wiping the icing, he licks his thumb to clean the icing on it.*

HJ: *as soon as she saw BH’s action, her eyes grew wide.* yah!! What are you doing?!! *she shouts*

BH: *he was shocked by HJ’s sudden screaming* what?

HJ: why did you eat it?. *she is referring to the icing*

BH: you don’t expect me to wipe it on my shirt, right?

HJ: you should just use a handkerchief or tissue, you know?

BH: *smiles* ohh?? Why didn’t I think of that? Don’t worry my hands are clean so it’s ok.

            As they were talking about that, a lady approached them; it was the same lady as the one that left Mason to HJ.

LDY: *smiling* ohh… there you are. Thank you for taking care of Mason *she said then bows*

HJ: *gives Mason to the Lady* yeah, no problem, but next time you shouldn’t leave your son to some random stranger *she says*

LDY: *smiles* yeah, I’m not going to leave Mason if I didn’t know you.

HJ: *confuse* excuse me?

LDY: don’t you remember my son?

HJ: *looks at Mason* should I?

BH: I think you are mistaken, Ma’am

LDY:*looks at BH* no, no, I’m sure it was her. *looks at HJ* you’re Na Hyun Jung right?

HJ: *still confused, but nods* yeah.

LDY: don’t you remember saving my son,

HJ: *looks again at Mason, now she is starting to remember saving a kid from being hit by a car* you mean, it was Mason? I didn’t remember his face because right after I was hit I fainted; when I woke up I was at the hospital.

LDY: *smiles* I’m glad you remember, I really owe you my son’s life, if it wasn’t for you maybe something could have happened to him.

HJ: *smiles* it’s nothing

LDY: I didn’t even get a chance to thank you personally, I went to the hospital the next morning but they say that you were already discharged.

HJ: *smiles then nods* yeah, I don’t like staying at hospital. *then he looks at BH, he doesn’t look good* ohh… I didn’t mean anything about that BH-ah *she thought that maybe BH is pissed with what she says since he’s a doctor*

BH: *fake smile* I know

LDY: *looks at BH* is this your boyfriend. He’s very handsome *she said then smiles at HJ*

HJ: *she can sense that whatever the Lady, says to BH it was about the misunderstanding earlier* wait, we’re not really…*but she was ignored by the lady*

BH: *why is everyone I met here tells me the same thing? I already know that. But I lost it. Seeing how HJ reacts to those who think we’re together, wanting to tell them that they are mistaken so badly, she must really move on. (That was he says on his mind)*

Chap 37: Truth or Dare

Hyun Jung’s POV

            The atmosphere between HJ and BH became awkward

HJ: *starts to talk* I’m going to look for PL. *then leaves*

BH: ohh.. *he follows HJ*

Pulip’s POV

            Pulip and Chan Doo are looking for BH and HJ, finally they found them, around some old student from the regular class.

PL: *saw HJ* HJ-ah, I’m glad you made it. *hugs HJ*

HJ: *hugs back* ohh…

PL: *looks at BH* BH-ah, where did you go? We’ve been looking for you.

BH: ohh,, I just take a look around

            After that, they all sit, and some of the old students from the regular class join them, they are suggesting a game, it’s been 5 years since they all have some fun, it was some of the student that are friends with.

S1: *approach them* hello guys, how are you?

PL: *smiles* ohh… Eun Bin-ah (EB), we’re good. How about you?

EB: *smiles* I’m also good

HJ: *smiles* come join us

S2: *pops out of nowhere* can we?

HJ: *looks* ohh? It’s Ji Eun (JE), sure.

JE: *smiles* thanks *JE, EB, Dae Woong (DW), and Min Woo (MW) joins them*

            After some time of chatting and eating, they got bored and Min Woo suggested a game

MW: why don’t we play a game?

CD: *curious* a game?

MW: *nods* ohh, let’s play truth or dare using this bottle *referring to the empty soda bottle*

HJ: *agrees* sounds fun

CD: *smiles* ok, let’s start *CD starts spinning the pin, it stops at PL*

PL: *smiles* I’ll take the consequence

DW: ok, since you are the first one, it will be just a light punishment, *pours alcohol on the glass* here

PL: *smiles* thanks you, *takes it one shot*

MW: *smiles* ok, let’s continue *starts spinning the bottle*

HJ: pls, not me, not me, *then the bottles stop in front of her* aishh.. *sigh*

JE: ohh…. HJ is the second victim

HJ: *laughs* hehe, I’ll go for truth, I can’t drink alcohol today, *she is tired about all the works and she might get drunk easily*

EB: *smiles* it’s ok.

HJ: so what do you want to know?

DW: hmm… do you still like Baek Hyun? *upon hearing the question HJ’s eyes grew real wide O.O*

EB: *nudge DW* yah! That’s too personal.

DW: *smiles* what? *she looks at EB* cause if not, I’ll be the one to court her instead, maybe I have a chance now *he joked, he is known to be a person who makes a lot of jokes*

Chap 38: The Person Baek Hyun likes

Baek Hyun’s POV    

They continue to play the game. After some rounds the bottle stops in front of Baek Hyun,

JE: ok, it’s BH’s turns to tell the truth… *everyone is now looking at BH*

BH: what’s your question?

JE: *smiles* do you have someone you like now? *everyone is now looking at him including HJ*

BH: yeah *he answers them, since it’s a game he needs to tell the truth*

ALL: *in chorus, except HJ* really?

EB: *curious* who is she? Is she here?

BH: why are you asking so many questions, it’s supposed to be 1 question every turn.

MW: ok let’s continue, *he said before BH gets mad*

CD: *bottle stops at him* me?

DW: *smiles* yes you.

CD: I’ll take the dare.

JE: show us some of your dance.

DW: *sigh* aishh, that’s too boring

MW: *agrees* let’s see, *thinks of a dare* give a hug to the person you are most comfortable with.

DW: *smiles* that’s nice, it’s a truth at the same time *laughs* haha, good one MW-ah

CD: *he was kinda shock with the dare they come up with*

HJ: *she noticed CD is nervous, knowing CD, he can’t even tell PL his feeling and now a hug, you are in so much trouble she thought* isn’t too much? Why don’t we just let him drink this? *she says as she tries to save CD*

MW: *shakes his head* no it isn’t, it was just a hug, it’s not even a kiss, besides, it’s just the person he is comfortable so it should be ok.

CD: it’s ok HJ-ah, it’s just a hug, *he says then he stands up and walks towards HJ*

HJ: *she was surprised when CD was in front of her, she looks at him with a questioning eye, she was at the same time thinking aren’t you supposed to be in front of PL now*

CD: *he knows HJ is confused, he bents down and hugs her* Bianhe HJ-ah, *he whisper as he hugs her* I can only rely on you; only know my secrets, (referring to him liking PL)  but what’s with that BH is a friend?

HJ: *smiles form on her lips* yeah, I know, only I know how you really feel so I understand, don’t worry about that (referring to his last question)*she hugs him back*

CD: thank you. *then he releases her from the hug*

ALL: *they were all shocked they never thought that it was HJ that CD will hug*

BH: *he was really surprised, he said to himself, CD likes PL but why did she hugs HJ instead, and HJ even hugs her back, is he the one she likes now? What is really going on here?.*

            After the hug they continue the game, the bottle stops in front of BH again.

BH:*slightly annoyed* me again?

DW: *evil laughs* haha, so who is it? The one that you like? *BH didn’t answer*

JE: ok, let’s change the question if you don’t like it. Just tell us if she likes you too. *everyone is waiting for an answer*

BH: *sigh, takes a glimpse of HJ* no, she doesn’t

EB: really? She didn’t like you?

BH: *nods* ohh.

JE: how can you be sure? Did you ask her?

HJ: *looks back see BH, she fakes smile* this part of you never change. *she says as she takes the jacket*

BH: *confuse* what part of me?

HJ: *shakes her shoulder, referring to the jacket* this, you still gives me your jacket when it’s cold. *she is referring to the time when the camp on school and she saw BH and PL together*

BH: *nods* ohh..

HJ: but you should stop doing that to me, seriously.

BH: *still confuse* why? Isn’t a common courtesy

HJ: that’s its why you should stop it. Stop being nice to me.  Please…

BH: *he was sad to hear that from HJ* why? Is it because I’m only a friend now?

            After hearing Hyun Jung’s word, he was left speechless. He didn’t know what to say, what to do.

BH: sorry *that’s all he can say, it was the only word he came up with.*

HJ: *wipes her tears* it’s ok.

BH: I didn’t know that I hurt you this much.

HJ: no, you’re wrong; because of you I’ve learnt how to love. Love doesn’t mean that you will never feel pain or that you’ll live a life free from care. It doesn’t mean that you will never be hurt or that you life will be perfect, with every moment consumed by happiness.

BH: *he looking at HJ, HJ has really matured now, the way she thinks he thought* but you still chose to love me even if you know all this? That I might not return your feelings?

HJ: you love someone not because you want them to love you too, I know that now. But rather you love them simply because; they give you the feelings you never thought you needed. *stands up and gives the jacket back*

BH: *takes the jacket*

HJ: *turns back and walks away*

BH: so are you going to give up just like that?

HJ: *looks back* why? Do you still want me to hold on?

BH: If you give up on the most important things in your life, you’ll gradually lose your true self. Someone who can lie to themselves is…lonely and in pain. *he finally realized that. That’s how exactly he feels*

Chap 40: Baek Hyun’s Confession

Baek Hyun’s POV

            Hyun Jung was about to leave when he hold Hyun Jung’s hand and stop her from leaving.

 BH: *walks towards HJ and grabs her hand to stop her* I have something more to say. Will you listen?

HJ: *looks at BH in the eyes* you’re going to say it anyway

BH: *pulls HJ back to sit,*Is it okay if I say what I'm feeling right now? *he starts without letting go of HJ’s hand. HJ just looks at him* I don't know what's going to happen in the future. But right now, what I'm feeling is 100% not a lie. I can say that with confidence. Things can't be as they were before but there's this kind of feeling that's linking us together.

HJ: *she was staring at BH, again tears are forming in her eyes, and she continues to listen to him*

BH: when I’m not with you, I’m thinking about you. When I don’t know where you are, I’m worrying about you. And when I’m with you……..*deep breath* I wonder how I could let any time at all go by without telling you how much I love you.

HJ: *she can’t believe what she is hearing right now, tears started to fall from her eyes* why say it now?

BH: *looks at HJ* because before I thought we live in different world.

HJ: that’s why you always keep distance with me? *she asked*

HJ: . I don't think that we're living in different worlds. I.. with regards to you. .. I LIKE YOU. Do you think my life is like a fairytale? No. meeting all of you was a fairytale. Meeting you guys, it’s like I gain a new family, which I never really experience. Kang ajusshi is like a father figure to me, while sem is the my mom. I have Pulip as my sister, Chan Doo as my brother, and a thoughtful friend like Bong Goo. So don’t think that we are living in different worlds.

BH: *he leans forward and hugs HJ* thank you, HJ-ah. *he whisper*

Chan Doo’s POV

            Hyun Jung went out, and so Baek Hyun, the others also left because it’s getting late, only him and Pulip are left.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            Hyun Jung asked him something about the night when she met an accident. He lied saying he didn’t come, then he kissed Hyun Jung’s forehead to confirm the in her dream.

BH: *leans forward and kissed HJ’s forehead* is that the same as the one in your dream? *he said with a smile, leaving HJ a surprised look*

HJ: *wide eyes* dream?, *touches her forehead that BH kissed* wait, how did you know about that?

BH: *didn’t answer, he just smiled at her*

HJ: *still in confused state* don’t tell me you really kis….*she is cut by BH’s action*

BH: *he interrupts HJ* no, *then he leans forward giving her another kiss, this time it’s on the lips*

HJ: *much to her surprised BH kissed her on the lips, it was a sweet and gentle kiss*

BH: *when their lips part he says* no, that one is a real kiss. *then he smiles*

HJ: *her heart was beating real fast* I’m not dreaming right? *she asks BH*

BH: *smiles* no, this is reality HJ-ah..

HJ: *hugs BH* saranghae BH-ah.

Pulip’s POV

            While they we’re playing, she decided to go to the rest room for a while, but when she came back, she saw Chan Doo hugging Hyun Jung as well as Hyun Jung hugging CD back. It turns out to be a consequence given to CD, it’s just a game she knows, but she somewhat didn’t feel good about that. Throughout the game she remained silent. Then HJ quits and went out, after some time BH also quits and follows HJ out, then the rest also quits and went home, only her and CD are left. She decided to ask CD about his closeness to HJ because she thought she was the one closest to him. He said he and HJ share’s the same secret, but when she about what it is about CD wouldn’t tell her and that adds up to her disappointment.

PL: *disappointed* you can tell HJ, but you can’t tell me.

CD: *he doesn’t PL to misunderstand* it’s not like I don’t trust you.

PL: then why can’t you tell me?

CD: ahhh….just…*he doesn’t know to explain*

PL: *annoyed* forget it. If you don’t trust me, I can’t do anything about that.

CD: *he is confused why PL is acting like that, it wasn’t like her, and how is he supposed to tell her that it is his feeling for her that he shares with HJ* I told you it’s not because I don’t trust you.

PL: I said forget it. *why can’t he tell me? When HJ knows about it. Argh…. And what is it to me if they share secrets anyway? What am I getting mad for?*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            This is the happiest day of her life, she haven’t been this happy her whole life. Her liking for BH for almost 9 years (4 years when they were high school + 5 years when she went to US) didn’t go on a waste.

BH: *looks at his watch* it’s getting late HJ-ah, I think I should send you home now.

HJ: *looks at BH with concern eyes* I don’t want to go home yet.

BH: why?

HJ: I’m afraid

BH: *looks at HJ* afraid of what?

HJ: I’m afraid that tomorrow when I woke you will be back as the cold BH. What am I going to do if that happens?

            They walk till the bus station, he didn’t bring a car. So they ride the bus. They walk while holding each other’s hand. Finally they arrived at HJ’s house.

BH: *in front of HJ house* so this is where you live.

HJ: *search for her key* oh.. I live here since middle school.

BH: *smiles* I finally know where you live. Who else knows your place?

HJ: aside from you, only PL and Sem. *door opens*

BH: *looks at HJ* ohh…*he says while nodding*

HJ: *looks at BH* so I’ll be going inside

BH: ahh..ok…*HJ was about to close the door when he calls her* HJ-ah

HJ: *she hears BH and slightly opens the door* why? You forgot something *she asks*

BH: *shakes his head* no. just want to say goodnight. *he slightly bends and kisses HJ on the cheek*

Chap 42: They are hiding a Secret

Hyun Jung’s POV

            The next morning Hyun Jung woke up, kind of late, it’s already 9:00am; she was so happy last night that she couldn’t sleep. When she checked her phone there are 3 messages from Baek Hyun,

HJ: *smiles* so it wasn’t really a dream. *reads the message*

            From: Baek Hyun (1st msg)

                        Hyun Jung-ah, did you have a good night sleep? I have a duty today so I can’t accompany on our first day. But I’ll try to make it up to you before dinner. Ok?

            From: Baek Hyun (2nd  msg)

                        Are you still asleep? It’s ok its only 6:00am so sleep some more. Call me when you wake up.

            From: Baek Hyun: (3rd msg)

                        Are you planning to sleep all day? It’s already 8:30am… wake up sleepy head. Or are you mad?

HJ: *smiles after reading the entire message, she calls BH* hello,

BH: *phone rings* hello…

HJ: BH-ah, bian…I just woke up. It’s ok; let’s just meet after your work.

BH: *smiles* I thought you are planning to sleep all day.

HJ: *laughs* I couldn’t sleep last night so I woke up late today.

BH: ohh. Is that so. What are you planning to do today?

HJ: hmm…. Maybe I’ll visit PL at the café and help her.

BH: ahh..ok…. I’ll call you later; I need to do my rounds now.

PL: there isn’t much customer today, so it’s ok.

PL: you and CD are really close these days…

HJ: *laughs* haha… what are you talking about. You 2 are much closer.

PL: I don’t think so.

HJ: *curious* why? Is something wrong with you 2? Did you 2 fight?

PL: no, it’s not that….

HJ: then why do think that way?

PL: because he wouldn’t share his secrets with me.

HJ: *confused* secrets?

Chap 43: Chan Doo’s Unrequited Love

Hyun Jung’s POV

            Right after leaving Pulip’s café she immediately calls Chan Doo demanding for some explanation about what happened last night.

HJ: you better tell her about your feelings quick. Before it’s too late

CD: where are you?

HJ: I just got out of PL’s café,

CD: ok. Let’s meet.

HJ: you where are you?

CD: I’m on my studio.

HJ: ok, I’ll meet you there in 30minutes.

            After 30 minutes Hyun Jung arrives at the studio.

HJ: ok.. Tell me exactly what happen *she says as soon as get inside the studio*

CD: I don’t really know, she’s like that since last night.

            After convincing Chan Doo to confess to Pulip, Hyun Jung got a call from Baek Hyun, it’s already 4:00pm.

HJ: *answers the phone* ohh.. BH-ah.

BH: where are you?

HJ: on my way home.

BH: where are you from? *he curiously asks*

HJ: hmmm… I went to PL’s café and had a chat with CD on his studio.

BH: ohhh…

HJ: why?

BH: no, nothing, I told you that we’re going to have dinner tonight right?

HJ: *smiles* ohh..

BH: just want to remind you. Call me when you’re home I’ll pick you up.

HJ: *smiles* ohh…

BH: *HJ was about to hang the phone when he said something else* ohh.. HJ-ah. Wear something comfortable.

HJ: ok… I will….

            After the phone call, BH leaves the hospital and prepares for their first dinner together as a couple. After preparing he called HJ to ask if she is ready. And picked her in her house.

HJ: *waves at BH who was leaning on his car* you’re here already

BH:*gives HJ a welcome hug* let’s go? *he opens the door for her*

HJ: *on their way* where are we going BH-ah? Why did you make me wear something comfortable? Don’t tell me we are going to amusement park.

BH: *smiles* no. we are not going there

HJ: *curious* then where?

Chap 44: Baek Hyun’s House

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He picked Hyun Jung on her house, now they are on their way. Hyun Jung is asking him where they are heading. She thought they are going to an amusement park since he told her to wear something comfortable, but he says not.

HJ: *curious* then where?

BH: *smiles* to my house *he said without looking at HJ*

HJ: *shocked O.O* what?!! Your house?!!

BH: *looks at HJ* yah! What’s with that reaction? It’s not like it’s your first time going to my house….well, it is…..since it’s my new place. But still it’s my house.

HJ: I know… I just didn’t think of that.

BH: *smiles* don’t worry; grandma is not there to scare you.

HJ: I’m not scared of grandma….

            Before HJ knew it their already there.

BH: we’re here *he says as he went out of the car*

HJ: since when did you live here? *she curiously asked*

BH: about 2 years. *he answered as he opens the door*

HJ: *follow BH in* ohh

BH: have a seat. While I prepare our dinner.

HJ: you can cook?

BH: yeah, don’t you like the idea?

HJ: *shakes her head* no, I like it

BH: *smiles* good, I thought girls like fancy dinner for their date, but I want it to be different.

HJ: *laughs* haha… not all girls are like that.

BH: *agrees* yeah, since you always cook for me when we are high school, I’ll cook for you now.

HJ: yeah…. Do you know that I always wake up really early just to prepare it? But in the end you wouldn’t touch it. *then she pouts*

BH: *feeling guilty* bian….

HJ: *smiles* hehe..It’s ok

            Few minutes later the food is ready, they are now sitting on the kitchen.

BH: *looks at HJ* how was it?

HJ: *tastes the food, then nods* hmmmm…..

BH: *curious* why? Is it bad?

HJ: no…

BH: *takes the plate of HJ* if it’s bad don’t force yourself to eat, let’s just eat out.

HJ: *stops BH from taking her plate* yah! Who says it’s bad?

BH: then why aren’t you saying anything?

HJ: cause I don’t know how to explain it. It’s really good. *she said with a smile on her face*

BH: *pleased by HJ’s compliment* really?

            After eating, they we’re on the living room. They are sitting beside each other

HJ: we have a little problem BH-ah…

BH: *worried, looks at HJ* what is it? Are you feeling sick? *touches her forehead to check*

HJ: I’m not sick… it’s about PL

BH: *curious* what about PL?

HJ: PL thinks that CD likes me

BH: *shocked O.O* mwoh?!! What did you say?

HJ: of course I say it’s not true. We’re just friends.

BH: did she believe you?

HJ: I don’t think so…

BH: then why didn’t you say that you are dating me instead?

HJ: *looks at BH* is it ok to you?

BH: *confused* of course it is… why?

HJ: because you liked PL. so I thought.

BH: *hit HJ’s head lightly* pabbo… you are my girlfriend. So isn’t it already given that you are the one I like?

HJ: *smiles* ohh… do you think we should help those 2?

BH: *smiles* you think so?

HJ: ohh… if we wait for CD, nothing will happen. So let’s help them. Ok?

Chapter 45: Helping Chan Doo and Pulip

Pulip’s POV

            Days after the reunion she receives a call from HJ. HJ wants to hang out. Even though HJ said the she and CD are not really dating PL is still having a little doubt about it, because they couldn’t tell her about that so called secret of them. But still she agrees to HJ to meet her, HJ did nothing wrong after all she thought.

PL: *phone rings* hello?

HJ: PL-ah

PL: ohh…HJ-ah, why did you call?

HJ: Are you free this Sunday?

PL: why?

HJ: can you accompany me that day?

PL: hmmm

HJ: *aegyo voice* please? Or are you mad at me?

PL: of course I’m not mad at you, why would I be?

HJ: *happy* so you’ll accompany me? Right? Right?

PL: *sigh* ok, ok…*she can’t say no when HJ uses her aegyo voice*

Hyun Jung POV

            After calling PL she called BH,

HJ: BH-ah, I already called PL and she agreed.

BH: that’s good.

HJ: how about CD?

BH: I already called him and he said yes.

HJ: *smiles* good. All we need now is to wait until Sunday.

Baek Hyun POV

            He received a call from HJ, everything is settled now. They are going to make those two reconcile. Days pass by quickly. He calls HJ to make sure is going according to their plans. They are going to meet at the park.

BH: *calls HJ* is everything ok?

HJ: *smiles* ohh… PL and I will meet later.

BH: ok..see you later.

Chan Doo’s POV

            Baek hyun ask him to come with him meeting someone. So he agreed since BH seldom makes request.

CD: *walking with BH* who are we going to meet BH? *he asked curiously*

BH: you’ll know later.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She already met with PL and now they are walking at the park. HJ is walking as if there were springs attached to her feet. She walks bouncy.

PL: *noticed HJ’s so energetic* you seem really happy today HJ-ah, something good happened?

HJ: *looks at PL* ohh… really good. You’ll know it later. Let’s go. *she drags PL to where CD and BH are*

PL: *sees BH and CD* ohh?? *she said pointing at them* what are you doing here?

BH: *smiles* we’re here to clear things out.

PL: *confused, looks at HJ* what is this?

CD: *looks at BH* I thought we are going to meet someone?

BH: *he looks at CD then releases a devilish smile* yeah, we are.

CD: *still confuse* then?

BH: *he takes CD’s hand and put a handcuff on*

CD: *O.O he was surprise* yah! Hwang Baek Hyun!!! What is this?

HJ: *she also holds PL’s hand and gives it to BH to put the handcuff*

PL: *confused* yah!!! What is this? Release us

CD: Hwang Baek Hyun, release us now. It’s not funny!!!

BH: *smiles at CD* you’re going to thank me for this later. *he whispered to him*

CD: of course not. Why would I?

BH: of course you would.

HJ: *looks at PL* sorry PL-ah. But we need to do this.

Chap 46: Jealous?

Baek Hyun’s POV

            They both leave CD and PL together. They didn’t release them from the handcuffs.

BH:*walking together with HJ* are you sure those 2 would be ok?

HJ: *smiles* oh..Don’t worry. CD has to tell PL now. He has no choice…*evil laugh* haha

Baek Hyun noticed that each guy they pass is looking at Hyun Jung, which makes him anxious so he calls Hyun Jung who was walking in front of him.

BH: *anxious* yah! Na Hyun Jung

HJ: *stops and turns to BH* why?

BH: *walks forward to her* who told you to wear that? *pointing at her*

HJ: *confused then looks at what she is wearing* why? What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?

BH: why are you wearing short shorts…*he points on her shorts*

HJ: *smiles* yah! It wouldn’t be called “shorts” if it’s long.

BH: *looks at HJ* I know. But next time don’t wear that. Ok? *he commands*

HJ: *curious* why? The weather is hot today and I’m comfortable wearing them?

BH: I am not. So don’t wear it next time. *he then puts his arm around HJ’s shoulder and continues to walk* all of the men here are looking at you. So stop wearing it.

HJ: *looks around then smiles realizing what BH means*

BH: *looks at HJ* why are you smiling?

HJ: nothing. It’s just you’re cute when you’re jealous.

BH: *shock O.O* mwoh?!! I’m not jealous *takes his arm off of HJ’s shoulder*

HJ: *smiles* really? *she said teasingly*

BH: *can’t admit defeat* I’m just protecting you from those guys who looked like ready to attack you. Then if you don’t like, never mind. Wear it all the time. *after saying that he walks away leaving HJ behind*

HJ: *realizes that BH is mad and chase after him* yah!....wait for me.

BH: *ignores HJ* me jealous? No way *he mumbles to himself*

HJ: *runs faster* Seobang, Bianhe…. I won’t wear shorts again, promise. Don’t be mad,, huh?… huh? *she pleads using her cute voice*

BH: *stops walking and looks at HJ who is now clinging on his arm* say it again…

Chan Doo’s POV

            He and Pulip are sitting on a park bench, they haven’t talk to each other since Hyun Jung and Baek Hyun left. Chan Doo started the conversation.

CD: I guess we are stuck with one another.*he said while looking at the handcuffs*

PL: I guess so.

CD:*looks at PL* sorry, PL

PL: *looks at CD* no, it’s ok. I should be the one apologizing. I shouldn’t insist on knowing it. It wouldn’t be called a secret if it’s to be told to someone. So I’ll wait till the time you are ready to tell me. *the she smiles*

CD: really?

PL: ohh.. But don’t make wait too long.

CD: *smiles* I won’t, but promise me one thing PL-ah,

PL: *curious* what is it?

CD: no matter what it is. You won’t get mad at me.

PL: ok, I promise. *silence* but can you really believe that?

CD: what?

PL: I mean BH and HJ. Finally they are together now. I’m so happy for them.

Pulip’s POV

            She and Chan Doo finally reconcile. They decided to have some fun. They take a stroll together.

PL: so where should we go?

CD: hmmm….*he saw some teenagers playing badminton* want to play that? *points them*

PL: badminton? Are you serious?

CD: *smiles* ohh… why you don’t know how to play it?

PL: I know.. but how are we going to play that. We’re stuck with this *raise their hands*

CD: *rub his nape* hehe… I forgot… ahh… I know something we can do even if we’re like this. *drags PL*

PL: *smiles* really? Where?

CD: just follow me.

            After a few minutes Chan Doo brings Pulip at an Arcade.

CD: *happy* we’re here.

PL: *confuse* arcade? We are going to play arcade?

CD: *smiles* ohh…. It’s fun….*walks inside*  hmmm….what should we try first? Ahhh!! That!! *pointing at the billiard table*

PL: billiards?

CD: ohh… let’s go….

PL: *ecstatic* ok….

CD: *in front of the billiard table its Pulip’s turn to hit the ball* it’s not like that. *then he helps PL to position the taco stick and hit*

PL: ohh… so all I need now is to hit the ball right?

CD: right.

PL: *smiles* ok… here I go *hits the ball* ohhh??? *her eyes grew wide* did you see that??

CD: ohh?? Wow!!! Pulip-ah,, you’re natural…. *cause one ball was scored*

PL: *looks around* that! *she said pointing at the machine which you need to hit at dog that pops out to score*

CD: *smiles* you’re too slow. Give me that *take’s the toy hammer to PL and starts attacking the dog*

PL: *watches CD as he hits them with all his might* yah! You are going to break the machine..We don’t have enough money to pay for that.

CD: *back to reality* ohh?? Right…let’s not play that anymore.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He chases Hyun Jung who is now running, and as expected he caught her without putting so much effort and hugs her from the back when he caught her.

BH: gotcha (got you)…. *hugs her from the back, lifts her and starts spinning* haha….

HJ: *laugh* haha…. Put me down… BH-ah.. Put me down… *but instead BH-ah changes the position of carrying her and carries her like a sack of rice* people are looking at us…

BH: *looks around. And see that HJ is right* I don’t care.. That’s you’re punishment from running away

HJ: *she is starting to turn red out of embarrassment* put me down now… it’s embarrassing. *she said as she protests and struggle*

BH: embarrassing huh….? *he starts to spin again*

HJ: *screams* Kyah!!!! Stop…. I’m getting dizzy already. Arasso. Arasso. I’ll call you. So put me down already.

BH: *puts her down* really?

BH: *smiles* but before that. You should seriously lose some weight. You’ve gotten heavy since the last time I carry you on my back. *he teases HJ but actually HJ is really light*

            She is enjoying calling Baek Hyun seobang again.

HJ: *happy* seobang

BH: *pleased* why?

HJ: I’m hungry. Let’s eat?

BH: *smiles* I just told you to lose some weights and now you are talking about eating.

HJ: *hits BH again* yah! Seobang! I told you I’m not heavy. *she walks away*

BH: yah! Odigga? (Where are you going?) *chases HJ again,*

HJ: I’m going to eat. Don’t follow me. *pretends to be mad*

BH: *smiles* let’s go together. I’m also hungry

Chan Doo’s POV

            They had so much fun playing at the arcade.

CD: when do you think they will release us?

PL: I don’t know. Should we call them?

CD: *tries to call them* they are not answering *he reaches BH’s voice mail* yah! Hwang Baek Hyun? Where are you and Hyun Jung? Release us now. We already reconcile so release us.

PL: not answering?

CD: *nods* ohh… should we go to the Police station instead? *he suggest*

PL: *laughs* haha… are you crazy?

            She and Baek Hyun go to a fast food chain inside the mall. Baek Hyun keeps looking at her which making her conscious about herself

HJ: *looks at BH* stop staring at me. It’s not good to stare at someone when their eating. You’re making me anxious *she says*

BH: *smiles* aish… seriously HJ-ah, you should grow up already.

BH: *takes a napkin and wipe HJ’s lips* why do you always eat like a child?

            But before Hyun Jung and Baek Hyun tries there’s also other’s who wants to try. They just watch for a moment but all of them gave up in the end.

Chap 49: Pulip Knows

Baek Hyun’s POV

            Hyun Jung asks him to try to open the vault.

BH: *serious* aish…. Why does it have to be complicated? *he said after a time of trying and still fails*

BH: we are just getting headaches if we continue this, let’s just go *he persuades HJ*

            After a few minutes the crew came back with the rings with their initial engrave to it. Baek Hyun has the ring with NHJ initials and Hyun Jung has the ring with HBH initials.

HJ: *happily looking at the ring* are we supposed to wear this?

BH: *looks at HJ* ohh… you must never take that off, so that they will know that you are taken. *he said then pull HJ closer put his arm around HJ’s shoulder* you’re mine

Chan Doo’s POV

            The sky has already darken and yet Hyun Jung and Baek Hyun aren’t back, they tried to call them several times but they always end up in the voice mail. They decided to wait for them at the park where they leave them. And after a few minutes Hyun Jung and Baek Hyun came together.

CD: *saw BH and HJ walking together towards them* yah!! Why are you so late?

HJ: *she saw PL and CD sitting on the park bench, PL is playfully hitting CD so she thought that CD already tell her his feelings* sorry, we lost track of time.

CD: release us now.

HJ: *smiles* did you already tell her that you like…..*she didn’t continue what she was about to say cause she saw CD’s reaction when the word “like” came out from her mouth so it means he still hasn’t tell her* ooopppsss, sorry. I didn’t…*looks at PL* it was nothing PL-ah, don’t mind what I say

PL: *instead she just smiles at HJ* I know it already.

ALL: *all of them had wide eyes O.O* you know?

PL: *nods* ohh..

Chap 50: Playing with Chan Doo and Pulip

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She and BH leave PL and CD again to have some talk. She still can’t believe CD hasn’t tell PL about it, and if wasn’t for her carelessness they wouldn’t know that PL actually knows about it.

HJ: *sigh* CD is really hopeless when it comes to love. How come he still hasn’t told PL about that? Aishh…

CD: *smiles* it’s not that easy you know?

HJ: What’s so hard about love? You simply *grabs BH’s hand*grab the other’s hand and refuse to let go

BH: *smiles* aish…how childish…. Let’s go back……

HJ: ok…

Pulip’s POV

            They are both waiting for Baek Hyun and Hyun Jung, they sure enjoy playing tricks with them, when it comes to things like this those 2 match really well.

            They chases after Baek Hyun and Hyun Jung, unfortunate Baek Hyun and Hyun Jung split direction, Hyun Jung goes left while Baek Hyun goes right, not thinking right he goes right then Pulip goes after Hyun Jung forgetting that they can’t go separate ways, they ended up on the ground.

CD: *pained expression*ouch!!

PL: *has the same expression*ouch,!! it hurts…

CD: *looks at PL*PL-ah, are you ok?

HJ: *looks back to see PL and CD together at the ground then runs back* PL-ah, are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere? *she asked as she helps them get up.*

CD: *he did the same with BH*yah! You think we will let you off that easily.

HJ: *fake cough*I can’t breathe… PL-ah, sorry…. I won’t do it again.

CD: *finally releases BH* mind telling us what happen between you 2?

PL: *does the same with HJ* yeah, tell us.

Chap 51 No More Secrets

Hyun Jung’s POV

            At last all of them are happy now. Chan Doo finally tells Pulip his feelings, Baek Hyun and Hyun Jung are a happy couple now.

HJ: *confused* secret? What secret?

BH: *whispers* aren’t you going to tell them about your birthday?

HJ: *looks at BH* ah…ohh…

BH: don’t you think it’s the time?

HJ: *smiles* ok…

BH: PL-ah, CD-ah, HJ has something to say.

PL: *looks at HJ* really? What is it?

HJ: *smiles* hmm… *looks at CD* CD-ah, didn’t you wanted to know my birthday?

Chan Doo’s POV

            Baek Hyun says that Hyun Jung has something to tell them so they listen and Hyun Jung turns to his direction and asked him

HJ: *smiles* hmm… *looks at CD* CD-ah, didn’t you wanted to know my birthday?

CD: *confused but nods* ohh…

HJ: well, I’m going to tell you now,

CD: *smiles* really?

HJ: *nods* ohh… you don’t believe me?

PL: *smiles* no, it’s not that. It’s just its too sudden.

HJ: since I’m in a good mood today. I’ll tell you, but if you don’t want forget it..*she jokes*

CD: yah! We never say that…

PL: so when is it?

HJ: oct. 7 (fiction)

CD: *smiles* ayyy…*he said as he wag his hand in front of his face* that’s Pulip’s birthday, we want to know your birthday.

BH: *laughs* haha…

CD: *looks at BH with confused eyes* why?

BH: you still don’t get it?

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He doesn’t know if Chan Doo is playing dumb or he is just really slow when it comes to things like this so he can’t help but to laugh.

BH: you still don’t get it?

CD: what?

BH: *smiles* nothing

CD: *don’t know what to say* yah! What is it?

BH: *smiles* forget it

CD: aish…..

Pulip’s POV

            Hyun Jung says she was going to tell them her birthday, but instead she tells them her birthday, which made Chan Doo confused.

PL: *looks at HJ* wait don’t tell me….

HJ: *smiles and nods* ohh…

PL: *can’t believe it* really? really? It’s also you’re birthday?

BH: *smiles* yeah, believe her, she is telling the truth….

CD: *looks at BH* you know it too?

PL: when did you know about it? *looks at HJ* you tell him?

BH: *depends HJ* no she didn’t tell me, I accidentally knew it when I read a message on her phone.

CD: when?

BH: when we go to the theme park.

PL: that long ?

HJ: yah! It’s not important anymore. What important now is you knew it too.

PL: ohh…  so no more secrets now, ok?

HJ: ok..!

BH: let’s go?

CD: let’s go.

            Then they all walk together, with a big smile on their face. Contented to be beside their love ones.

Chap 52Joon?

Months have passed blissfully for Baek Hyun, Hyun Jung, Pulip and Chan Doo. Their love for each other never fades but instead it increases every day.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She is still working as a free lance art consultant, while Baek Hyun works at the Hospital. Sometimes she visits Baek Hyun at the hospital.

HJ:  *she was waiting at the lobby for BH when someone calls her*

??:  Hyun Jung? Na Hyun Jung?

HJ: *looks back to see who it was* ohh? Joon. Lee Joon (LJ)*she says*

LJ: *smiles* so it was really you.

HJ: *smiles* what are you doing here? When did you come back? Are you on a vacation?

LJ: *smiles, he find HJ’s constant question funny* yah! What’s with the rush? Ask question 1 by 1.

HJ: *smiles* sorry.

LJ: ok… 1st question, I’m going to visit my father. 2nd I’m here for about a month. 3rd since my father is sick he wants me to study how to manage the company.

HJ: ohhh…

LJ: *looks at HJ with concern* you? What are you doing here? Are you sick? *puts his hand on HJ’s shoulder and turn her to see how she is doing*

HJ: *laughs* haha… I’m good, I’m good

LJ: that’s a relief then.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He was walking towards the lobby searching for Hyun Jung, when he finally saw her, someone approached her first. He watched it. It seems that he is someone Hyun Jung knows. Then after some moment he decided to walk towards them. He hears the guy asked Hyun Jung.

LJ: how was Si Yoon-hyung? He’s in Korea too right?

HJ: *nods* he’s good. *she replies then Baek Hyun arrives* ohh… Baek Hyun-ah *she smiles at him*

BH: *smiles at her* did you wait long?

HJ: *shakes her head* ani…

BH: *looks at Joon* someone you know?

HJ: ahh… I forgot to introduce you two. BH-ah this is Lee Joon my college classmate.*she said introducing Joon to BH* Joon this is Hwang Baek Hyun my high school classmate as well as my boyfriend

LJ: *shocked* what? Boyfriend?

HJ: *nods* ohh… look *raises her hand to show Joon her couples ring*

LJ: *saw the ring* ohh.. But I thought you and Si Yoon-hyung

HJ: *saw BH is getting annoyed* yah! Si Yoon is just my friend.

LJ: ohh… I got to go.. bye..

HJ: *smiles* ok.. bye *then Joon leaves*

BH: *looks at HJ* who is he?

HJ: what who? I just told you he is Lee Joon

BH: not that. You 2 seem close.

HJ: *smiles* ahh…. We have many classes together so became close friend

BH: ohh

HJ: *looks at BH* why?

BH: nothing. What brings you here?

HJ: *smiles* this. *showing BH the homemade pack lunch* I went to PL’s café and we cook foods for you and Chan Doo.

BH: *smiles* let’s go to the cafeteria.

HJ: *follows BH* ok…..

BH: *while eating* what are planning to do after this?

HJ: after this I’ll go to gallery to check the new arrived arts from overseas.

BH: ahh… so you are busy?

HJ: *nods* yeah.. Kind of. Why?

BH: we haven’t gone out for awhile, so I thought we could watch movie. But I guess not *he said in a disappointed tune*

HJ: movie? Hmmm… how about tomorrow? I’m free tomorrow.

BH: *delighted* really?

HJ: ohh…

BH: ok… so I’ll pick you up tomorrow?

HJ: *shakes her head* no…. let’s just meet there.

BH: if you say so.

Chap 53: Marriage?

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She and Baek Hyun have a movie date today, they planned to meet outside the movie theater later that day, she was cleaning her house when she heard the door bell, and she thought it was Baek Hyun so she rushed towards the door.

HJ: *opens the door* what are you doing here so early? *she said thinking it was BH*

??: Ahmmm…. Are you Miss Na Hyun Jung?

HJ: *she looks at the Ajusshi(AJ)* yes. Who are you?

AJ: you’re father sent me here.

HJ: *confused* appa?

AJ: *nods* yes

HJ: why?

AJ: he didn’t tell me the reason, he just said to bring the young lady to him, and he wants to meet you.

HJ: *meet me?* ok, I’ll just go and change my clothes.

AJ: ok. Miss.

            After a few minutes Hyun Jung got out of her house, the Ajusshi is waiting for her. He accompanies her to a black car and even opens the door for her.

HJ: *bows* thank you *inside the car she keep thinking of any possible reason why her dad want to meet her. Why would he want to meet me? Ever since I transferred to Byeong-Mun high, he never contacted me and when I went to study abroad he didn’t also now he wants to meet me? What is he thinking? She asked herself*

AJ: *stops the car* we’re here. *he said then steps out of the car and opens the door for HJ*

HJ: *steps out of the car and looks at the tall building in front of her, then sigh*

            They walk inside the building and the ajusshi accompanies Hyun Jung to her father’s office where he is waiting for her arrival. Hyun Jung is really nervous when they finally reach the office.

AJ: *opens the door* he is waiting for you inside

HJ: thanks *then steps in*

DAD: *looks at HJ* I guess you are not really planning on meeting me that you need to be called here before you go. *he said*

HJ: *bows and apologized* sorry, but I don’t think you also want to meet me, that you only called me now.

DAD: *smiles* of course not, I was just busy with work

HJ: *don’t want to argue* if you say so.

DAD: have a sit.

HJ: *sits down* what is the real reason you called me here? I’m sure it’s not because you want to know how I am doing, right?

DAD: that’s one the reason.

HJ: and the main reason?

DAD: you know the Lee Corporation, right?

HJ: *nods* yeah,

DAD: well, we are planning to have a merger

HJ: good for you then, but what does it has to do with me?

DAD: well, it has something to do with you

HJ: *confused* what?

DAD: the owner of the company has a son the same age of you. And

HJ: and?

DAD: we are planning on getting both of you married

HJ: *shock O.O* what?!!! You want me you get married?

DAD: yeah, so it can strengthen the bonds of our company

HJ: *slightly raises her voice* appa! Are you insane? You really want me to marry?

DAD: I’m perfectly sane HJ-ah,

HJ: then since you are perfectly sane, you must also know that I won’t obey you easily.

DAD: yeah I know that. That’s why I’m giving you time to think about this.

HJ: *stands up* no, no need for that. I’ll tell you now. I won’t marry someone I don’t love and someone I don’t even know.

DAD: you know him.

HJ: *confused* what?

DAD: you studied with him during college.

HJ: *thinks,*

DAD: you have a friend with the name of Lee Joon, right? He is the only heir of the Lee Corporation.

HJ: *shocked O_O* what?!  You mean Lee Joon?

DAD: *nods* yeah, he is, that’s why I think there wouldn’t be any problem since you 2 knew each other.

Chap 54 Last Hope

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He was waiting for Hyun Jung outside the movie theater. After a few minutes Hyun Jung arrives.

BH: *waves* HJ-ah here

HJ: *fake smile* oh..

BH: let’s go?

HJ: ok..

Hyun Jung’s POV

Throughout the movie Hyun Jung didn’t talk much, she keeps thinking about her father’s word. She knows that he wouldn’t let her that easily, so she must really find a way to stop her father for wanting her to marry Lee Joon.

BH: *noticed HJ’s unusually behavior* is something wrong HJ-ah? You seem troubled.

HJ: *looks at BH* no, I’m fine, maybe I’m just tired.

BH: is that so? Then I’ll send you home now, you should take a rest.

HJ: *nods* ohh, thank you.

Lee Joon’s POV

            Before his father was sent to hospital, he knew that they are planning to do a merger with another company. He receive a call from HJ asking to meet her so he agrees

LJ: *waiting for HJ at a cafe* I’m here *he says when he saw HJ*

HJ: *joins LJ at the table* yousaid that you’re here because of your father’s company right?

LJ: *nods* yeah, why?

HJ: they are planning to have a merger right?

LJ: *confused* yeah, but how did you know that?

HJ: well, my father’s company is the one you are going to merge.

LJ: *surprised* what?!

HJ: yeah, it’s true. And you know what comes with that right?

LJ: yeah, marriage.

HJ: right, marriage, but we both know that you and I can’t be married to each other.

LJ: why? *he asked*

HJ: I told you before I have a boyfriend that I really love. So we must find a way to stop the marriage.

LJ: but how?

HJ: if we both don’t agree, they can’t do anything about it.

LJ: why wouldn’t I agree?

HJ: *confused* what why? You don’t like me, so why marry?

LJ: who told you I don’t?

HJ: *getting more confused* well, no one. But still

LJ: I know you don’t like the way I like you *he said*

HJ: *shocked O_O* what?! Are you serious?!

LJ: *nods* yeah, I’m serious

HJ: ohh no… this can’t be real. We are friends.

LJ: that’s what you always thought of me. But I want more than that. That’s why I return to Korea, then I found out that you already have someone I like so I planned to give up, but when you mention about the merger of both our parent’s company I thought it might be my chance to change the way to think of me. So I can’t do want you want me to do. Sorry HJ-ah.

HJ: *she can’t believe what she is hearing. She never thought of Joon more than a friend,* I’ll leave first.

Hyun Jung’s POV

                She can’t believe what is happening in her life now. When she thought everything is going just fine, her father would show up saying she needs to marry someone for the sake of the company, and to make it worse, it was Lee Joon, her last hope to solve this problem was also gone when Joon says that he likes her. She steps outside the café, and as she walks further she feels a drop on her head. It’s starting to rain.

HJ: *Raise her hand palm facing upward* *sigh* ahhh….. Now even the heaven is crying with me. *she said then runs to a waiting shed where the bus stops as the rain continues*

HJ: *as soon as she reached the bus stop, she sits there and rest, the rain is becoming heavy* AISHH! Nothing good is happening to me these days, 1st appa suddenly showed up wanting me to marry some random guy,2nd that random guy turned out to be Lee Joon, I thought it can be solve easily since I know him and now he also wants to marry me? What the?!! *she exclaimed out of disappointment* to make it worst I’m stranded here.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            It was already past 6pm, his duty in the hospital end early that day, it raining hard outside, good thing he has an umbrella so he went out and walk straight to the bus stop when he saw HJ sitting there and was really wet by the rain. He walks quickly towards her.

BH: aren’t you supposed to resting at home right now? What are you doing here? Do you really want to die? HUH? *he said really worried*

Chap 55: Background Check

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She was sitting on the bus stop for the rain to stop when she heard BH’s voice.

BH: aren’t you supposed to resting at home right now? What are you doing here? Do you really want to die? HUH? *he said really worried*

HJ: *she was looking at the ground when someone suddenly talks to her she raise her head to see* ohh?? BH-ah, what are you doing here?

BH: I ride the bus from here. You what are you doing here? It’s raining hard.

HJ: *fake smile* I’m waiting for you… hehe…

BH: *he takes off his trench coat* here, wear this, you’re going to catch cold if you stay like this. Let’s go, I’ll send you home.

HJ: *stand up* ok.

BH: *sitting on the bus* seriously HJ-ah, is something wrong with you??

HJ: no, is something wrong with you?

BH: no. *they reach HJ’s house*

HJ: *smiles* thanks for sending me home BH-ah…

BH: ohh… change your clothes immediately, you’ll catch cold if you stay like that.

HJ: *nods and went inside the house* what am I supposed to do now?

Hyun Jung’s DAD POV

DAD: *sitting inside his office* manager Han. (MH) *he calls*

MH: *enters the room* yes, sir?

DAD: I want you to investigate on my daughter, who she meets, her friends, everything. Don’t leave single information about her.

MH: yes sir

            Then after a few days Manager Han reported all the information he gathered about Na Hyun Jung.

MH: *talking to HJ’s Dad* apparently she is working as a freelance art consultant in various art galleries, she often goes to a café owned by her friend since High School.

DAD: so that’s all you gathered?

MH: no, sir.

DAD: what else?

MH: I also knew that she is currently dating her classmate from High School. It’s been months since they started to see each other.

DAD: *slightly loud voice* what?! You mean my daughter is dating someone I don’t know?

MH: yes sir.

DAD: who is he?

MH: *hand an envelope containing BH’s info* he is Hwang Baek Hyun; he doesn’t have any relatives aside from his grandmother who is staying at a close friend’s house since he is always at work.

DAD: what does he do?

MH: he works as a doctor at the Seoul Hospital.

DAD: *sigh* what does HJ’s see’s in him? He is just a mere doctor with nothing.

MH: well they both seem to love each other. *he commented*

DAD: love? You can’t eat love. *he said sarcastically* you may leave now *he said* I have to do something about that.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            Days passed quickly, he noticed that Hyun Jung’s is not on her usual self, she often lost in her thoughts and silent. When he tries to ask Hyun Jung would only says that she is just tried. He was walking on his way home when he saw some gangster (GR) beating someone he tries to help.

BH: *saw what is happening* hey! You! *he calls the 3 guy beating someone* what do you’re think doing?

GR1: *looks at BH* who are you?

BH: me? It doesn’t matter who I am….

GR2: wow. You have some guts there. *walks towards BH*

            They all now surrounds Baek Hyun leaving their first target lying on the ground badly beaten by them. Then they all started to attack Baek Hyun, even though Baek Hyun is a good fighter before 3 vs 1 is still unfair so he also receives some punches. But still win. When they left, he quickly runs to the guy he just rescued.

BH: *tapping the guy* hey! Are you ok? *before he can get answer the police arrived at the since*

            The police soon arrived at the scene because they receive a report about a fight. They saw Baek Hyun holding a beaten guy almost unconscious. They take Baek Hyun with them for some questioning and the unknown guy to the hospital. After giving some statement they still refuse to release Baek Hyun because he can be also a suspect.

BH: *angry* what the?! I tried to help and I ended up being the bad person here. *he said to himself*

Police: we will release as soon as we talked to the victim and confirmed what you said. *he said* do have someone you want to inform that you are here?

Chap 56: Hyun Jung’s Sacrifice

Baek Hyun’s POV

            The officer asked him if he has someone he wants to inform about his condition. He doesn’t want anyone to worry about him especially his grandma and Hyun Jung, she also has troubles of her own, even though she didn’t tell anything to him, and he knows that there is something that bothers Hyun Jung.

BH: no.

Police: ok.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She has been gloomy this days and she decides that it will only worries the people around her especially Baek Hyun, so she gets back to her usual self and visits Baek Hyun at the hospital. Maybe she is just being paranoid about her own father and worrying for nothing. At the hospital she asks some nurses about Baek Hyun.

HJ: excuse me. Can you tell me where is Dr. Baek Hyun? *she asked*

N:  ahmm… I think he didn’t come today.

HJ: he didn’t come today?

N: *nods* ohh…. This is the first he didn’t come to work without informing anyone.

HJ: ohh…ok… thank you. *she said to the nurse* I wonder what happen to Baek Hyun. Why didn’t he come? Maybe I should to try to look for him at his house. Maybe he is sick? *she said worriedly*

            She immediately went out of the hospital and head straight at Baek Hyun’s house. She tries to knock many times but there is no response from Baek Hyun. Suddenly some passerbies are chit chatting about the incident last night and she heard it. She thought that many Baek Hyun got involve to it. But she still hopes not. She went to the police station to check and there she saw Baek Hyun.

HJ: *shocked O_O immediately runs toward BH* BH-ah!!!

BH: *hears HJ* HJ-ah!! What are you doing here?

HJ: I went to the hospital and they say you didn’t come to work so I decided to go to your house and still can’t find you. Then I heard about what happened last night.

BH: believe me HJ-ah, I didn’t do it. I’m not the one that beats him.

HJ: ohh.. I believe you….

            After seeing Baek Hyun at the Police Station,, Hyun Jung is thinking of every possible way of releasing him. She knows Baek Hyun isn’t someone who would act like that. Then after some thought, she remember her father, maybe he has something to do with this so she didn’t waste any minute and quickly goes to her father to ask about it.

Hyun Jung’s DAD POV

            He was on his office when manager Han reports something to him about Hwang Baek Hyun, because he ordered to keep track about Baek Hyun.

DAD: I didn’t make any move and he already has trouble for himself. I didn’t expect this. *he said after hearing about what happened

MH: well, he tried to help the victim but the police refused to release him unless the victim itself confirms his statement.

DAD: ok… you may leave now. *then manager Han leaves* HJ-ah, what are you going to do know? *he said to himself*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She heads towards her father’s office; she didn’t expect that it will be Baek Hyun he’ll target and not her. She can’t let Baek Hyun to be hurt just because of her.

HJ: *opens the door* you are the one that did it right?! *she said as soon as she opens the door*

DAD: I think you didn’t come here to ask me that?

HJ: *angry* what?

DAD: You already have your answer.

HJ: so it was really you? How could you do this? Baek Hyun has nothing to do with you. Why must he need to be involved here?!

DAD: no you are wrong, he is involved here. That moment that you two started seeing each other he is already involve in your life. And he is the reason why you don’t want to marry Joon right?

HJ: *angry* no, it’s not like that. I don’t to marry Joon because I don’t love him.

DAD: because Baek Hyun is the one that you love? It’s the same Hyun Jung he is still the reason.

HJ: you’re too much!! No matter what happens I won’t marry Joon!! *she exclaim*

DAD: *smirk* really? No matter what?

HJ: *she thinks for a second* oh… no matter what.

DAD: even if the person you love is suffering because of you? Can’t you let him go? If this is to be known by the hospital’s management, he might lose his license as a doctor, do you know that? *he said*

HJ: *she was taken aback by her father’s word. It is true that now Baek Hyun is suffering because of her*

DAD: what’s your decision HJ-ah?

HJ: *the thought of Baek Hyun suffering because of her is too much for her to handle so she decided to give up and let her father win*I… admit defeat. I beg you not to touch that person any more. That person, he has many dreams, and for his dreams to come true, I beg you, please, leave him alone from now on.*her heart is really hurting and her eyes are all blurry*

Chap 57: Innocence

Hyun Jung’s DAD POV

            He didn’t think that it would be that easy to break them, he knows that Hyun Jung is the type of person that will not do anything unless she wants it or it involves the person she loves. It is indeed true that love makes you weak for Hyun Jung’s case; she would do anything for them.

DAD: ok… I’ll do everything to release him.

HJ: I’m not going to thank you because we both know that you didn’t do it for nothing. But at least give me a chance to say goodbye.

DAD: ok, I’ll let you do that. But,  be sure to come back by the day after tomorrow. *he said*

HJ: what? You are only giving me a day?

DAD: why? Do you need a week to say goodbye? *he said in a sarcastic tone*

HJ: *shakes her head* no. *then she leaves*

DAD: *after HJ leaves he calls Manager Han* Manager Han.

MH: yes sir?

DAD: go to the incident sight, and investigate. Find something useful that can prove the innocence of that Baek Hyun *he ordered*

Manager Han’s POV

            Hyun Jung’s dad ordered him to investigate the sight. So he immediately goes there and search the area, he even tries to ask some witnesses. He wanders around the area and he saw a CCTV camera attached there. He tries to contact the company owning the CCTV. And he goes there.

MH: can you let me see the tape of the CCTV last night? *he asked the one keeping (KR) all the recorded tapes from the camera*

KR: why do you want to see it?

MH: because it might have recorded the incident last night. I need it to help someone being accused. *he explains*

KR: ok… wait.. I’ll get the tape. *after a couple of minute the keeper returned* here. *he said then plays the tape and watches it with MH*

MH: *he watched the tape and saw that BH really did try to help* can I ask if I can have a copy of this?

KR: sure.

            After having a copy of what happened last night, He headed back to the office and informs Hyun Jung’s father of what he discovered.

DAD: ok.. go to the hospital and talk to victim,.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            The next day after she talks to her father, she visits Baek Hyun, good thing her father kept his word and when she got there, they  are already about to release Baek Hyun.

HJ: *happy to see BH’s free* BH-ah! I’m glad that they already released you. *she said as she hugs BH*

BH: *smiles* ohh… the victim already confirmed *hugs HJ back*

HJ: let’s celebrate…

BH: what for?

HJ: since we already proved your innocence. Ok??

Pulip’s POV

            She got a call from Hyun Jung.

PL: *phone rings* ohh…. HJ-ah, you called?

HJ: PL-ah, are you busy tonight?

PL: tonight? No why?

HJ: let’s have a slumber party at your house? *she suggested*

PL: slumber party? Why at my house?

HJ: *sigh* aish… I just miss spending time with you guys…. It’s already been months since the last time we sleep together? Huh? Huh? *she tries to convince her*

PL: Let’s just use yours instead…

HJ: no! Not my house *she replied quickly*

PL: *curious* why?

HJ: *don’t know what to say* ahh… ehhh…. You know that only few know my house. And it’s a complete mess there now. Let’s just use yours? Huh? Huh? *uses aegyo voice*

PL: ok. Ok….

HJ: *happy* yes! Thank you PL-ah, invite CD too….

PL: sure, I’ll invite him.

HJ: I’ll also invite BH. 

PL: ohh….

HJ: I’ll see you tonight

PL: ok..see you.

Chap 58: Food Fight

Hyung Jung’s POV

            Later that day she and Baek Hyun goes to Pulip’s house to have a slumber party, she really want to have some bonding moments with them. She wants to use this time to a fun with them even for the last time.

HJ: *enters PL’s house* PL-ah, we also bought some foods on our way here. *she said raising her arm to show the plastic bags*

PL: *smiles* ok… just put in on the kitchen

HJ: *smiles back* ohh… *she replies as she walks toward the kitchen* where is CD?

PL: on his way here.

HJ: *nods* ahh…. *she said, then BH also enters the kitchen holding plastic bags.*

BH: *puts down the bags* ahh…. I’m thirsty. *he said then grabs the 1.5 liter of coke, then the doorbell rings*

HJ: it might be CD…

BH: where is PL?

HJ: *looks around* maybe on the restroom, you go open the door for CD.

BH: *nods* ok.. wait here *puts down the bottle and goes to open the door for CD*

HJ: *when BH leaves she saw the plastic bottle of cola and then suddenly she grabs it and shakes it like a mad man. And smile foolishly at herself*

Pulip’s POV

            She just went out of the restroom and goes to the kitchen to help Hyun Jung on preparing their dinner; she saw the coke bottle and grabs it.

PL: *holds the bottle and opens it*

HJ: *she saw PL opens the bottle* wait!!! No!!! *she tries to stop her, but too late, PL already opened it and.*

PL: *SPLASH!!! …as soon as she twists the cap* WHOA!!!!! *she was really shocked by it O_O and she lands on the ground*

HJ: *she can’t help but to laugh* hehe…I told you not to open it…

PL: you!!! You did it? *she then splash the remaining content of the bottle to HJ*

HJ: *she was also surprised when PL started pouring her the coke so she runs. They looked like a little kid playing on the kitchen* it wasn’t really meant for you.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He goes out to see the person that doorbells, and opens the door for CD.

BH: *smiles* ohh… you’re here..

CD: *smiles* where are they?

BH: in the kitchen *he replied, then they suddenly heard some squealing and laughter’s*

CD: looks like they are having fun.

BH: let’s go and look

Chan Doo’s POV

When they reach the kitchen, they can’t believe what they saw. Hyun Jung and Pulip are both soaked with coke.

HJ: *she was also surprised when PL stated pouring her the coke so she runs. They looked like a little kid playing on the kitchen* it wasn’t really meant for you.

BH: if it wasn’t for her. Then is it for me? *he said, he knows because it is the coke bottle he is holding before CD arrives*

HJ: *hears BH from behind* uhhh…ohhhh….

BH: yah! Na Hyun Jung you dare to pull a prank on me… *he said*

HJ: I didn’t even succeed on you, you know? *she said*

PL: *Interfere BH and HJ* but you succeeded on me, you know? *mimicking her voice on the last part*

HJ: *looks at PL* hehe…

CD: you 2 should seriously wash up.

HJ: *smiles at CD* ohh… CD-ah…

PL: CD is right, let’s clean first. You use bathroom on the other room, I’ll be on my room.

HJ: ok… thanks.

PL: but do you have extra clothes? If not I can lend you.

HJ: I have…. *goes to the living room and checks her bag*

            Then both Pulip and Hyun Jung went to take a quick shower since they both wet by the cola. Baek Hyun and Chan Doo are the ones that continue the work at the kitchen.

BH: *looking around the kitchen* HJ sure knows how to make one place into a disaster. Look. *he said pointing at the flooring*

CD: *smiles* yeah, right. Let’s clean this first. It’s slippery.

BH: we are always the ones to clean their mess… *he jokes*

CD: *sigh* aishhh…. Who told them to have a mini food fight? *he says as he mops the floor*

Chap 59: Goodbye

Hyun Jung’s POV

            After their mini food fight, they all enjoy the night talking about their fun memories together since high school, how all of them became close and so on. Finally without noticing it, they all fell asleep at the living room, it is only Hyun Jung that’s awake, she is staring to them, and she is trying to remember their faces. Because tomorrow when they woke up she won’t be there anymore, she has to leave them.

HJ: *staring at BH’s face* this time I realized that you and I are from different worlds. *touches his face* we met as though in a dream, but now it’s time for us to return to our own worlds *she whisper to him*  So take it as a dream, when I showed up at the very beginning or the moment I disappeared was a dream too, if it was, you wouldn’t feel sad at all. Forget all of it. Just take it as a dream. *leans to give BH a light kiss on the lips and leaves*

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He is having a dream, in his dream, he can hear Hyun Jung’s voice talking to him, he didn’t know why but in his dream it seems like Hyun Jung is leaving and telling him to forget her.

BH: *wakes up early, he looks around and didn’t saw Hyun Jung, he decided to stand up and search for her inside the house but he didn’t find Hyun Jung* it’s still early, * looks at the watch* where did Hyun Jung go? * He asked to himself*

Pulips’s POV

            She woke up seeing Chan Doo still sleeping not far from her; she looks around and didn’t see Hyun Jung or Baek Hyun around. When she turns to kitchen there she saw Baek Hyun walking.

PL: *asked BH* BH-ah, where is Hyun Jung?

BH: I don’t know when I woke up, she was gone, I tried to look for her around the house but I can’t find her.

PL: maybe she just take a walk outside.

Manager Han’s POV

MH: *enters the office of HJ’s father* Na Hyun Jung-ssi is already here sir.

DAD: ok, send her in.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            After leaving Pulip’s house she went to her house and gather all the things she needed, she didn’t brought many, just those important, and she didn’t stay there long because she knows that they might look for her there, she headed to her father’s office. Manager Han (MH) greeted her at the office.

HJ: *cold voice* I’m here.

DAD: *smiles at HJ* ohh.. You came, you will be staying from now on at our house. Manager Han will drive you there.

HJ: *not interested just nods* ohh…

DAD: here *he said giving Hyun Jung a card*

HJ: what is this?

DAD: use it to buy a dress on your way, we will be having a dinner with the Lee tonight.

HJ: *sigh* I don’t need it. I have my own. *she said*

DAD: if you say so.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            It’s almost been an hour since they all woke up and yet Hyun Jung is still not back, he is getting nervous about this.

BH: *looks at the clock* it’s already been an hour why HJ is still not back

CD: try calling her.

BH: *picks his phone to call HJ* her phone it turned off. I can’t contact her

PL: ohh?? It’s weird… Hyun Jung never switched her phone off.

CD: maybe it’s just low battery.

BH: *sigh*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            Like what her father said, Manager Han drove her to his father’s house, when they got there she went inside the big house and then suddenly an old lady almost a grandma (GM) walks towards her. She greets her.

HJ: *bows* Annyeong hasseyo (hello), I’m Na Hyun Jung. *she introduces herself*

GM: *didn’t say a word just walk in front of HJ and touches her face*

HJ: *she was confused but she let the grandma touch her face*

GM: *smiles* are you really Hyun Jung? Uri (our) Na Hyun Jung?

HJ: *still confused but nods* neh (yeah)

GM: you have grown so much, I can’t even recognize you. You don’t remember me?

HJ: *shakes her head* sorry.

GM: it’s ok, it’s ok,,,, you are very young back then so you don’t remember me. I used to take care of you when you were still a baby.

HJ: *smiles* really?

GM: of course, 

Chap 60: Dinner

Hyun Jung’s POV

            When she arrived at her father’s house she met a grandma that take care of her when she was young, she was happy to meet her. She is on the room provided for her, she ask grandma(GM) to stay with her and have a little chat since there is no one to talk too.

HJ: are you really the one that takes care of me when I was young? *she confirms*

 GM: of course. I remember, when you were young you really like anything that has a figure of a bunny. You really like rabbit figure *she says*

HJ: *smiles, oh? She’s right, I really like rabbits*

GM: am I right?

HJ: *nods* yeah, I still like rabbit

GM: *smiles* I’ll just prepare a food for you,.

HJ: neh, thank you

GM: you wait here.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            It’s already been hours since he left Pulip’s house, and he can’t still contact Hyun Jung, he wasn’t feeling good about this so he decided to drop by at Hyun Jung’s house to check on her.

BH: *in front of HJ’s house knocking* HJ-ah! HJ-ah…. Are you there? Na Hyun Jung!! *After some knocking no answer. Then a passerby (PB) talks to him*

PB: are you looking for Hyun Jung-ssi?

BH: neh… is she here?

PB: I don’t think she is there. I saw her leave this morning

BH: by chance, do you know where did she go?

PB: *shakes her head* no, but I saw here carrying a bag.

BH: *O.O* mwoh?! Bag?

PB: oh…

BH: thanks. *then leaves*

            He knew it. There is something wrong with Hyun Jung, she is acting weird. And what worries him more is his dream last night, it felt so real. So goes around searching for Hyun Jung.

Hyun Jung’s POV

She and grandma talks a lot, Grandma tells her many stories about her childhood, how she was she was still a baby, after a few hours Manager Han arrives to pick her up for the dinner with the Lee, she has no choice but to go. When she arrives she saw 3 men waiting for her at a reserved room for dinner. She goes to sit beside her father.

DAD: you’re here. Sit..*he told HJ*

HJ: *sit beside her father*

DAD: you already know Lee Joon-ssi right?

HJ: *nods* neh, we are classmates during college.

LJ’s DAD: really you 2 are classmates?

LJ: neh..

DAD: that’s good then, it would be easy for the both of you since you both know each other.

HJ: what do you mean?

DAD: you 2 are getting engaged next week.

HJ: *shocked* what?! Next week?! *she said in a loud voice*

DAD: yes, next week.

HJ: are you serious? Next week?!!!

DAD: yes, both of you are getting engage next week and I have no plans of delaying that.

HJ: *she looks at Lee Joon he wasn’t saying anything there is no single trace of disapproval on his face*

Lee Joon’s POV

            He didn’t anything when Hyun Jung’s father announced that they are getting engage next week but he can see at Hyun Jung’s face that she didn’t like the idea. Then Hyun Jung says something.

HJ: There’s already someone I love. He’s the first in my life and for the rest of my life, he’ll be the only one. You still want to marry me?

LJ: *he remained silent*

Hyun Jung’s DAD POV

DAD: *shocked with HJ’s behavior*Na Hyun Jung!

LJ: its ok, uncle, I know Hyun Jung will change her mind once we got married. She’ll learn to love me as times go on. *he said*

            Throughout the dinner Hyun Jung didn’t say a word to them. She ignored them. Then when their dinner ends, she went home, with heavy steps. On her room she keeps thinking.

HJ: *sigh* is there really no way out here?

Chap 61: Hyun Jung’s Decision

Hyun Jung’s POV

            It’s already been days since she move to her father’s house, but she rarely goes out of her room, she remain there throughout the day. Once in a while grandma will come to talk to her.

HJ: *talking to grandma* halmeoni (grandma) am I doing the right thing?

GM: What makes the future is the present. If you feel in your heart that you are happy now, that thought will surely create a happy future for you.

HJ: *sigh* I really don’t know what to do now halmeoni (grandma) if I can still be happy after this.

GM: As long as there is love inside your heart, happiness is just around the corner.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            It’s already been days since Hyun Jung suddenly disappeared, he can’t think of any possible reason why Hyun Jung would leave just like that. They didn’t even argue so why did she leave him behind. He is with Chan Doo at Pulip’s café.

CD: *looks at BH*still no news of HJ?

BH: *nods*ohh… I tried to search for her but I still can’t find her, her phone is still switched off.

PL: you 2 didn’t have any arguments?

BH: *shakes his head*no. I’m sure we didn’t have any arguments

CD: then why did she leave without saying a word?

Hyun Jung’s POV

            Finally the day she is afraid the most has come, it’s her engagement day with Lee Joon, hours from now there wouldn’t be a chance for her to be with Baek Hyun. She is walking back and forth inside her room.

HJ: *talking to herself* no… this can’t be happening… I can’t get engage to Joon, but I can’t also go back to Baek Hyun…. What to do? What to do?

Lee Joon’s POV

            Everything is already set for the engagement party of him and Hyun Jung, the only thing that is left is to pick up Hyun Jung at her father’s house. He goes there and the maid leads him.

LJ: *in front of the door knocking* HJ-ah? Are you ready? The party is about to start. We need to go there. *no answer* HJ-ah are you there?*he knocks again*

            After a few knocking no one answer him. Then when he turns the knobs it wasn’t lock at all so he made his way inside the room and looks for Hyun Jung around.

LJ: *enters the room* Na Hyun Jung *he calls, he also check the bathroom but can’t find Hyun Jung*

            He looks for Hyun Jung all around the room, but Hyun Jung is not there; on the bed he saw the small box of their supposed to be engagement ring with a letter.

LJ: *walks towards the bed and picks up the letter and reads it*

            To: Joon

To meet such a good friend like you was great, but I can’t give you my heart, yet you keep looking at me. I may be leaving his side now but… I think no matter how much time passes by I’ll still like him.

            That’s what the letter left by Na Hyun Jung says; he doesn’t know how to describe his feeling all he knows is he feels really sad. Then the grandma walks towards him and saw the letter.

Grandma’s POV

            She knew it. Hyun Jung is a kind of person that you can’t tie and force her to do what she doesn’t want to. Hyun Jung is a person that always does her best in everything does. No one can ask tell her to give up.

GM: *walks towards Joon*

LJ: This is the first time I want to cherish a person. For the first time, I want to make myself better for her because I believe that this world is not really that bad. I can accompany her and strive for the best but she didn’t even gave me a chance to do that *he says to halmeoni*

GM: sometimes, when people decide to leave you for good, you have to let them, no matter how much you don’t want them to. There are things that are far beyond our control. Even if you have the strength to fight for them you have to accept it. *she said to Joon*

LJ: *after hearing halmeoni*What am I supposed to do? I can’t force her to love me. Yes, I love her. I wanna be with her. I wanna make her smile. But there’s no space for me, right?? Not 5 years ago, not today. *just like that he leaves the room*

GM: *shakes her head as she watch Lee Joon leaves* aigoo…. Why must they experience this kind of things? They are too young for these matters.

Hyun Jung’s POV

            Meanwhile Hyun Jung left her father’s house without anyone knowing it. She only leaves the ring and a letter for Joon. She is feeling guilty about what she had done to him, but she just can’t do it. So she decided just to leave and never to come back again, with this everything will be back to normal even before she went back to Korea from her study.

HJ: *walking*in my next life I want to be born with the same status as you (BH) so that we can be together without worrying about what our family would think. *she said as she was walking while thinking of Baek Hyun*

            She goes to a place away from Seoul while she was walking she passes by to a newly opened art gallery and tries to look around to temporarily forget all her worries.

Chap 62: New Life

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She walked inside the gallery, there are a lot’s of beautiful paintings, sculpture and some pottery. She heard one of the employees explaining a particular painting on one of the guess. But it seems that the he didn’t know much about the painting so she decided to help him.

HJ: *walks towards them*it is called Spoliarium a painting by Filipino artist Juan Luna

Employee&Guess: *looks at HJ*

HJ: *continues to explain* that painting was submitted by Luna to the Exposición Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1884, where it garnered a gold medal.

Employee&Guess: *they were amazed by HJ’s explanation that they just nod* wow…

Guess: wow.... you know a lot.. *she complimented HJ*how about this one? *she points the other painting*

HJ: *smiles*thank you. That one is The Parisian Life also known as Interior d’Un Café, literally meaning "Inside a Café, it is also a painting by Juan Luna.

            Ryu Hwayoung (RH) is also assisting some of the guess when a certain person attracts her attention, she seems to be a guess at the gallery but she is really knowledgeable about paintings and arts, and she explained clearly the painting.

RH: *looks at HJ* wow, she is really knows a lot *she said then she decided to walk towards HJ* hello *she greeted HJ*

HJ: *slightly bows* hello

RH: *smiles* you seem to know a lot about arts.

HJ: *smiles*ahh… Neh,,, I studied some arts. *she said*

RH: really? That’s nice. What’s your name by the way *she asked*

HJ: ohh.. Sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Na Hyun Jung *she said as she extends her hand for a shake hand*

RH: *smiles*Maldo Andwae (no way) *she said as she swings her hand in front of her face*if you are Na Hyun Jung then I’m Song Hye Kyo *she joked*

HJ: *confused: what the? She didn’t believe me? She thought to herself*

RH: *looks at HJ* but seriously I’m Ryu Hwayoung *she said then extends her hand*

HJ: *shakes the hand*nice to meet you. I’m….. *she is thinking of a new name, she thought it might be better cause her father won’t be able to find her that way, then she heard a some random words and form a name* Park Jiyeon.(JY)

RH: *smiles*nice to meet you too Park Jiyeon-ssi. You say you studied some arts too right?

HJ: *nods*neh…

RH: we are still looking for some staffs maybe you need a job *she offered*

HJ: *happy* really?

RH: *nods* neh, so are you interested?

HJ: neh…..thank you….

RH: just bring your résumé tomorrow.

HJ: *bows* neh… I’ll be going now *leaves*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            She went inside the gallery and luckily she even got a job there. She is going to start her new life there, away from the one she loves. But at least she knows they are in a good state.

HJ: *sigh* ahh… now all I need to find a place to stay. *she continues to walks on the neighborhood there she read a post of a for rent apartment, she goes to see the landlord (LL)*

LL: *looking at Hyun Jung* are you the one that called me earlier *she asked*

HJ: *nods* neh….

LL: *smiles* follow me

HJ: *she follows her*

LL: *showing her the apartment* it has 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms, one on the main room and one near the kitchen. So how was it?

HJ: I like it….

LL: *smiles* when are you playing to move?

HJ: ahh… if it’s possible today,

LL: ohh… is that so….? Ok,,, here’s the key. *hands Hyun Jung the keys*

HJ: thank you..

LL: by the way I’m Mrs. Shin.

HJ: ahh.. neh… I’m Park Jiyeon. *extends her hand*

LL: nice to meet you Jiyeon-ssi… I’ll leave you now… I’m guessing you are tired. have a good rest.

HJ: *smiles* thank you.

LL: no problem, remember to lock all the doors. *then she leaves HJ behind*

Baek Hyun’s POV

            8 months have already passed since the day Hyun Jung suddenly disappeared without a word. He is with Chan Doo and Pulip. They are still together and getting stronger every time. They sometimes argue but they always make up the next day. He was really happy for them. He visited them to tell them that he’d be away for a while because of a seminar

CD: *looks at BH* so when are you going to leave?

BH: the day after tomorrow.

PL: *O.O* that soon?

BH: *smiles* I want to go sightseeing too so I’ll go earlier than the others.

CD: *nods* ohh….. It’s really nice there…

PL: when will you be back?

BH: I don’t know… but it won’t be that long I think

PL: *smiles* don’t stay there for too long…. You can’t leave us too like Hyun….*stops, she realized what she says* sorry….

CD: *he stares at PL, his eyes are like saying “watch what you say”*

BH: *fake smile* it’s ok… don’t worry, I’m not planning to stay there for too long, I just need to attend seminars there,  unless I find  something interesting that would make me want to stay there *he joked* I get going…

CD: ok….

Hyun Jung’s POV

            It’s almost been 8 months since she moved to Busan. She’d been good friends with Hwayoung (HY) and the rest of the people at her work place.

HY: *smiles* at last… you agreed to put your works on exhibit.

HJ: *smiles* because you keep nagging me about it. *she said jokingly*

HY: *pouts* How mean…. I just want you to share your talents… you shouldn’t keep it by yourself, learn how to share *she said*

HJ: *smiles* ok, I’ll take that as a compliment.

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He was on his way to Busan, he remembered what Pulip says, that don’t leave them just like what Hyun Jung did, he take his wallet and looks at the picture of Hyun Jung. Then the old lady (OL) sitting beside him talks to him.

OL: *looking at the picture Baek Hyun is holding* is she your girlfriend, she looks really beautiful.

(HJ gave it to him, and said to keep it, since she only has 2 copy of her college grad pic, one was with her)

BH: *looks at the old lady with sad eyes* no she is not

OL: but you love her, right?

BH: but she left me, without even saying a word. We were good today then the next she was gone. *he said, the old lady just continue to listen to him* I never thought I’d be left behind since she were always the one who loved me more. *he said as he was looking at the picture*It’s funny that as my feelings for her grew, I lost confidence. I was so afraid of what would happen if she didn’t grab hold of me. I really can’t understand why she left me. If she only tell me a reason I could have understand her

OL: *she looks at BH with very concerned eyes* someone once said that love is letting someone misunderstand you, because that causes them less pain. *she said, then Baek Hyun looks at her and listens*If you love someone so much, even if you had misunderstood, you wouldn’t explain. You don’t want to hurt that person. You’d rather that person not get hurt, even if you get misunderstood.

BH: *he listens to every word that the old lady says. Maybe she really misunderstood Hyun Jung, she would never leave without any reason, and he needs to find what that reason is, why did it take that long for him to realize that he thought*thank you *he said to the old lady*

OL: *smiles at BH*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            Today is the day of the art exhibit, she was busy the whole morning attending the guess, and the exhibit was successful.

HJ: Hwayoung-ah, I’ll be going first. *she said*

HY: going to the school?

HJ: *smiles, then nods* ohh… the kids are waiting for me.

HY: ok… remember to go the resto tonight; we are having a small celebration.

HJ: I’ll think about it…

HY: yah! You need to come…

HJ: *sigh* I don’t like parties you know that.

HY: just this time… ok, how about if you sold your painting today you have to come, ok?

HJ: *sigh* ok…..

HY: *happy* yes! You really need to come after this.

HJ: *smiles* arasso…. Just call me if anything happens here. *then she leaves*

HY: *waves* ok *she said*

Chap 64: The Painting

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He finally arrives at Busan, he visits some nice places, and while he is on his way, he saw an art gallery and decided to take a look inside. While he was looking at some of the arts there, there is certain painting that catches his attention; it is a painting of a night, and there is a couple standing under a tree, the moon is bright and there is one certain star that shines bright, it reminds her of what HJ says about falling in love with him.

HY: *talks to BH* may I help you sir? *she politely asked*

BH: *looks at her then looks at the painting again*

HY: it is an original art by one of our painters.

BH: *looks at HY* really?

HY: neh,,, it is also her first art to be put on exhibit.

BH: really, but she is really good.

HY: *smiles* I also told her that. It’s good that I finally convinced her this time.

BH: *smiles* yeah, it is good. Is this one for sale?

HY: yeah, are you interested sir?

BH: *nods* yeah, it reminds me of something.

HY: *happy* ok sir, I’ll get this ready for you.

BH: thank you *then Hwayoung leaves him to prepare the painting*

HY: *she forgot to say something so she went back* ahh, excuse me sir.

BH: *looks at HY* is there a problem? *he asked*

HY: I forgot to tell you that I don’t have the guarantee card on me.

BH: *smiles* its ok, I’m not planning on reselling it.

HY: *smiles* then, I’ll be preparing the painting, just wait a moment sir.

Hwayoung’s POV

            She was happy the Jiyeon’s (Hyun Jung) painting was already sold on the very first day, so she immediately went to prepare everything.

HY: *after a while* here’s the painting sir.

BH: thank you.

            As everything is being settled Hwayoung calls Jiyeon (HJ) to tell her everything that has happened.

HY: *happy* Jiyeon-ah….(HJ)

HJ: ohh…. Hwayoung-ah why did you call?

HY: I have a good news.

HJ: *curious* what is it?

HY: guess what?

HJ: just tell me! *she said*

HY: *smiles* hehe… your painting is already sold

HJ: *shocked O.O* really?

Hyun Jung’s POV

            Hwayoung called her and said that her painting was already so she was really happy about it.

HJ: *shocked O.O* really? Who bought it?

HY: I didn’t ask for his name.

HJ: *curious* him? You mean he’s a guy.

HY: *smiles* yeah, and he is really handsome, I think I’ve seen him somewhere. Where are you?

HJ: I’m on my way back.

HY: really? You might be able to meet him then.

HJ: *happy* really, I want to thank him in person

Baek Hyun’s POV

            After everything is settled he decided to leave the gallery.

BH: *bows* thank you.

HY: Jiyeon says she is on her way back; she is the one that paints that. *she says*

BH: really?

HY: do you want to wait for her?

BH: *looks at her watch* I’m sorry, I think I can’t, I still need to look for a place to stay, so I’m really sorry, but maybe next time *then leaves*

            Just as he leaves the gallery, Jiyeon(HJ) arrives and step out of her car, she immediately runs inside the gallery and looked  for Hwayoung.

HJ: *calls HY* Hwayoung-ah..!! Where is he? The one that bougth my painting, I really want to thank him

HY: *saw HJ* ohhh Jiyeon-ah(HJ) he just step out, didn’t you see him?

Hyun Jung’s POV

            After receiving Hwayoung’s call she immediately went back to the art gallery to meet the person that bought her painting but he already left.

HJ: *calls HY* Hwayoung-ah..!! Where is he? The one that both my painting, I really want to thank him

HY: *saw HJ* ohhh Jiyeon-ah(HJ) he just step out, didn’t you see him?

HJ: no, I didn’t see anyone out.

HY: it’s sad…

HJ: *smiles* it’s ok, here *giving her the guarantee card* if he comes back give it to him if I’m not here

HY: ok……

Hwayoung’s POV

            After Jiyeon arrives at the gallery, she excuse herself for a moment and goes to a nearby café to buy some coffees and bread for her and Jiyeon, since they will be having a small celebration afterwards coffee and bread would be ok for now, as she orders at the counter she saw the same person that bought Jiyeon’s painting.

HY: *slowly approach BH* ahmm…excuse me….

BH: *looks up* ohh… you’re from the gallery..

HY: *smiles* yeah, here *giving him the guarantee card* Jiyeon told me to give you this

BH: *takes it* thank you *then HY is called at the counter because her order is ready*

Baek Hyun’s POV

            He got the guarantee card from Hwayoung but he didn’t look at it. After hours of searching he decided to stay at an apartment because it’s much more practical than to stay at a hotel. Then later that night, he finally looks at the card.

BH: *holds the card* hmmm….let’s see, what this is *opens the card, he looks at the card and saw the name of the artist* so her name is Park Jiyeon. *he was about to close the card when he saw the signature* wait….why is her signature different from her name. *looks closely* it’s NHJ.*shocked O.O* don’t tell me it’s Na Hyun Jung. *as soon as this thought enters his mind, he immediately went out of the house and went back to the gallery*

Hyun Jung’s POV

            As promised, she goes with the others to celebrate. She was really happy to see others as they were having fun. They first eat and went on karaoke. As they were on the karaoke bar Lee Joon(LJ) arrives with a bouquet of flowers and sit beside Jiyeon (HJ)

HJ: *smiles at Joon and takes the flower* thanks

LJ: *smiles* no problem, I heard that you already sold your first art... I’m happy for you *he then takes a shot of soju*

HJ: yeah, *she noticed LJ is drinking* yah! Don’t drink too much; it’s not good for your health

LJ: *smiles* just last one

HJ: ok… it’s the last one; you still need to meet your appointment to the doctor tomorrow.

            Then after some hour Lee Joon already left them, Hyun Jung is sitting with Hwayoung looking at the others as they sing in front. She is smiling but there is a bit sadness on her eyes and Hwayoung(HY) noticed it.

HY: *looks at HJ* do you really love Lee Joon?

HJ: *looks at HY* yeah, of course I like him

HY: *she can sense a bit of hesitation on HJ’s voice* Then what about the guy in the painting?

Hwayoung’s Flashback

            She was on Hyun Jung’s apartment; they have become a really good friend so sometimes she visits HJ and spend time with her. That day they were inside the working room of HJ, since there are 2 rooms on the apartment HJ’s decided to make the other one as her working place.

HY: *amazed by HJ’s paintings* Whoa!! Jiyeon-ah(HJ)… you are really good painter.

HJ: *smiles* thank you.

HY: why don’t you want to exhibit it on our gallery? I’m sure many will like this.

HJ: nah…. I don’t like it. I’m satisfied being an organizer and consultant.

HY: *saw a canvas covered with blanket so she walks towards it* what is this*she asked as she pulls the cover*

HJ: *she saw HY uncovering her canvas* no!!! *she tries to stop her but too late she already pulled the cover and reveals a painting of Baek Hyun, it was a new painting.*

HY: *shocked O.O* whoa!! Who is this? Your boyfriend? He’s handsome. *she compliments*

HJ: ani-yo…… *she denies*

HW: *smiles* aish… don’t lie to me… don’t you know that painting is longing?

HJ: *confused* huh?

HW: our longing turns into paintings and paintings become longing as well. *she said* If you’re longing for someone, then because they keep coming to your mind, you end up painting them. That is why longing is painting, even after you’ve forgotten, every time you look at the painting, you long for that person once more. Painting is also a form of expressing emotions, Jiyeon.
