Is that all he needs?
An hour later I found the room I left Sci in to be drastically different. There were holoforms of planets, dangling decorations of planets hanging from the cieling, and the image of a chemical plastered on the wall with little inscribed words drawn underneath. I can tell this is being projected from some where as it sizzles briefly. The table is levitating above the floor with a rounded item underneath keeping it afloat. I put my hand under the table to the rounded part.
Safe to say I burned my hand.
"Ow," I said, taking my hand off the item. "This is strange magic."
"That is not magic, Uncle," Sci said. "That is science at work. Well, the Science I invented at least in the future."
I turn around to see Sci at a doorway across clipping his nails.
"You invented this, Sci?" I ask.
The look on Sci's face brightens.
"Why yes," Sci said, with a smug smile putting down the nail clipper. "I look young because of my little dabble in Science expanded my aging...Well, I age slower. Really slow."
I raise a brow.
"Give me an example," I said.
"Five thousand years from now I will look the same," Sci said. "10,000 years from now I will start getting gray hair. 10,000 years after that I will look the same with gray hair. 20,000 years from then I will be a old man."
"...And does this affect your partner?" I ask.
"Of course he is affected," Sci said. "He was there when I started dabbling in it as a teenager."
"He," I repeat, raising a brow.
"Yes," Sci said.
"That is new," I said, lowering my brow. "Anyway I have the busses, satelite, and the Tesseract ready."
Sci caught what my attention is on.
"Bothering you?" Sci said, pointing over to the chemical.
"Quite much," I said.
Sci presses a button and the chemical image is gone.
