"Holy glamour."
It was not a blob. But a child dressed in a tasteless, tattered green hospital gown, and by the looks of her unkempt appearance: choppy hair, cracked nails, bruised skin, tattered clothes. She has been fending for herself for quite a long time.
Kazama gently crouched and carried the girl with great care, as if he was handling glass, he was worried about her condition. She might have internal injuries or whatsoever. But as he thought about her wellbeing, a conclusion struck him—
She might be an orphan.
and orphans don't have anywhere else.
Pondering about the little girl's future, the oracle cell compatibility testers in the veteran's pocket started to feel tingly, as if saying:
'We are her only hope.'

The dispatch team had arrived soon enough as a raven haired man went out of the vehicle, seemingly scanning the area before turning his gaze fully to Kazama who was tending to a young girl whose appearance made the newcomer skeptical.
a little girl? at an area where hordes of aragami had been attracted to? Breathing? What kind of sorcery was this?
"Lindow-san". Kazama greeted. The shimmering demeanor had been replaced with a much more serious tone. Lindow Amamiya's eyes narrowed at the formality.

"...A survivor. In here, of all places?" the raven haired man inquired as he lit a cigarette, resulting to the younger veteran to grimace. "Yes." He answered flatly. Not wanting to inhale any of the smoke as much as possible.
"I'd like to know how, or why. But we don't have much time here.. Why don't we take her to that pla-" The older veteran was cut off in mid sentence as Kazama picked up the young girl and said: "No. I'm taking responsibility for her."
Lindow sighed, this was the second time he vowed to take responsibility for a child. The first one the younger veteran brought home was a child who had collapsed near the Den gates. He was allowed to due to the young boy testing positive on the oracle cell compatibility test.
But what about this girl..? Could it be..?
She also tested positive for Oracle cell compatibility...?
"...Children as God eaters? Did all the sunscreen go into your head? What are you doing?.. raising a god eater orphanage?" The older veteran frowned whilst sharply questioning the younger male's plans.
"...You think too much, Lindow-san. I want to take care of her, and Kuze. It's as simple as that. The other children we find don't test positive for oracle cell compatibility. I'd like to take responsibility of these two who tested positive.... I want to personally take care of them." Determination brimmed in the gunner's gray eyes. He wanted to give those children a person to lean on once they carry the duty of being a god eater.
"...Whatever you say, kid. Like I said, We don't have much time." Lindow turned away, a fond smile etched on his lips and a burning cigarette on between of his fingers, the two veterans climbed on the dispatch vehicle and rode forward, back to their home.
Omake:
"...Tell me, Kazama. Was it the poor taste in clothes that made you want to take her in?" Lindow deadpanned as he looked at Kazama dead in the eye.
"....That too. Seriously, a hospital gown? Can you believe it?" Kazama complained in distaste. The shimmering veteran was back. Sparkling as ever.
And at that time, Lindow Amamiya wanted to hit his head on the wall because of Kazama's antics.
