"There's a park a few Metro stops away." Marcy noted. Alphys had decided to stay at La Scala to practice since she was too shy to practise outside. Undyne had accompanied her- God, they just need to get married already.
To get to the Metro, the group passed through the 'Galleria Vittrio Emanuele II'(according to Marcy's guidebook), and Papyrus is stunned by the beautiful marble columns and sparkling lights. Once they reached the square in front of Duomo(the Cathedral), Marcy started taking pictures of the spectacular gargoyles.
Once they got off the crowded Metro, the square in front of Sforza Castle seemed peaceful in comparison. They walked past the gigantic fountain and the walls, arriving at Sempione Park.
Sans found a group of drummers practising ina small ampitheatre. Soon, he was dancing along to the beat, dragging a giggling (y/n) with him.
Finally, they settled in a small, empty paved area, and practised steps under (y/n)'s careful watch, along with a few interested passerby.
"Dancing in the open air is great!" Carlos commented, doing a small pas de deux with Marcy as his partner. Papyrus nodded in agreement, a grin on his face as he watched Sans lifting (y/n) into the air as she yelled in protest.
"Sans... Sans! Put me down, bonehead! I will shove my hairpin into your eyesockets!"
"Be careful with that, Sunshine- STOP! ONLY GOT ONE HP!" Sans wailed as the (h/c) girl chased him with a glittery pink clip.
"Will you guys stop being so loud? You're taking attention away from me." Mettaton hummed, doing a pirouette- or at least he tried to. His robotic movements were useful in dancing to jazz, but definitely not ballet! Papyrus watched him in awe.
"Hm, overprotective brother?" (Y/n) asked, putting on her clip. Sans just glared at Mettaton.
"I don't see why Papyrus likes him." He grumbled, shoving his hands into the pockets of his hoodie. (Y/n) laughed.
"I don't see why Marcy likes Carl." (Y/n) said thoughtfully, taking a seat on the concrete. The skeleton sat down beside her with a huff. "He's so... you know. While she's so... you know?"
Sans laughed. "Oh, believe me, I know."
"I appreciate that you know, you know."
"I know you know that I know that you appreciate it."
"Well, you know that I know that you know that I know that I'm happy you appreciate it."
"I kn-"
"SANS! NO SLACKING!" Papyrus screeched, making them jump. "Get up! Practice makes perfect, brother!"
"Gotta go. Cheer me on?" Sans asked, getting up and dusting himself off. He held out a bony hand towards the girl on the pavement.
(Y/n) looked up and smiled. "Of course." She took his hand and he helped her up.
Ah, his hand feels weird... a good weird.
"(Y/n), Sans, get a room!" Carlos yelled, using his water bottle as a microphone. "When they bed, it goes vroom vroom! When they fu-"
"CARLOS!" Marcy screamed, slapping the back of his head. (Y/n) blushed and let go of his hand.
"I... have to get Carl an ice pack." She squeaked, before running off. Sans watched her go.
God, I need an ice pack too.

Needless to say, the group was tired out from the day's practice session. (Y/n) was mostly tired out from preventing Sans from killing Mettaton as the robot did some very suggestive moves on Papyrus.
"Sheesh, Milan is cold at night." Marcy groaned. She hugged her jacket tighter than before. "Ah, much better." Carlos smiled fondly at her.
"Lucky, lah." (Y/n) said in a teasing tone. "I'm freezing! Lend me your warmth-"
As she reached out to envelop the loudmouthed redhead in her arms, she felt a soft, warm fabric stopping her.
"Here." Sans said gently, draping the jacket around her arms. The group froze and looked at them. "Better?"
"Saaaaans! You're so romantic~" Mettaton gushed and pretended to faint against Papyrus. "Ah, Papy, lend me your jacket too- SANS WAIT NO."
"Brother, refrain from impaling Mettaton with a bone!"
"That thing's cool- OKAY IT SHOOTS LASERS."
"what"

The five hurried back to hotel for dinner, hungrier than the Author after doing her History homework. When the reached the hotel's restaurant, they found the other dancers from the competition sitting together at a noisy table. The group squeezed into the table, and in a stroke of luck, ended up sitting near Alphys and Undyne .
"Hey, where's Karin?" A girl piped up, frowning as she twirled a chopstick. "She said she'd eat with me."
"Soka's not here, too." A brunette called out. They later learned her name was Amiti Hayes, who Alphys had befriended during practise.
"Anya's gone, too!" Mettaton added. "The people from The Beatles are all missing."
"Rude!" Scoffed a Belgian dancer. "I heard they were invited to a film premiere."
"Weird." (Y/n) mumbled. Even if she wasn't part of the competition, the dancers all welcomed her to the table anyway. "During the competition they should stay and rest, not go out."
"Unless they're sure they'll win." Rei voiced out from the other end of the large table.
The table fell silent.

"Rei has a point." Undyne said, tying her hair into a bun.
Dinner was over, but the subject was still fresh in everyone's minds. As the eight waited for an elevator, they ran into Anya, who was dressed quite elegantly. She looked tired, but she was still arrogant as ever.
"Hey there!" She smiled at Carlos, her lips covered in red. "Want to join me at a new club? Of course, Soka and Karin will be there, but they're irrelevant~"
"No thanks." The dark-haired male replied, obviously flustered. Marcy looked ready to strangle Anya. "I have to rest. You know. Competition stuff."
"Oh, that. Whatever, I'll surely win." She giggled, pressing her fist to her lips. The elevator arrived with a ping.
Carlos nodded and joined his friends in the elevator. "So I've heard." The elevator doors closed, and Anya recoiled in surprise.
"Ugh!" As she turned to go, she was stopped by a familiar figure.
"They're onto us."
