chapter nine,
the one with a long lost brother

━━━━ "VIVI wake up! oh god," kitty grimaced as she pushed min ho's face away from vivienne's. "vivi!" vivienne opened her eyes and frowned her eyebrows at kitty. "can you explain to me, to your darling friend, why the hell did you lie to me that it was some random boy and not mention that it was min ho! also i was in jail."

"why were you in jail?" vivienne grumbled out stretching her arms out and rubbing her fingers on her eyes. min ho took this opportunity to wrap his arms more around vivienne and bury his head on her chest.

kitty pulled in a chair and sat in front of vivienne's bed. "so bascially," kitty then paused giving vivienne a stern look. "after i explain you better explain this." kitty then shivered from disgust as min ho kept on burying his head between her chest. vivienne breathed out a giggle pushing his head out and slapping his head gently.

"okay." she giggled running her fingers through his hair.

"oh god." kitty gagged but at the same time smiled. "okay, anyways, so i went to the hospital where the baby bracelet was at and i found out that the baby she had was a boy but he was adopted by a family, i think it was from australia, and then i got caught and went to jail." the way that kitty said it casually worried vivienne a bit. "but alex bailed me out and we were talking and guess what he said."

"what did he say?" vivienne asked twirling a piece of min ho's hair around her finger. she felt min ho tighten his grip around her and his fingers running up and down her back.

"that he was adopted as a baby and came back here to teach and find his real parents!" kitty said slapping her hand on her legs. vivienne shushed her and kitty scoffed putting her hands up in surrender. "i don't care about your boyfriends beauty sleep and focus on what i just said."

"he's not my boyfriend."

"mhm, mhm, whatever. anyways, it can't be a coincidence? alex might be my half brother!" kitty said jumping off the chair. kitty pushed min ho's face away and shook vivienne's shoulder. "i can have a half brother how amazing is that! now your turn, spill whatever you and this guy did!" she said pulling away flicking min ho's forehead while sitting back down on the chair.

"kitty stop before i accidentally suffocate you with a pillow." min ho grumbled twisting his arm backwards trying to swat kitty away but the red hair girl was already backed up.

"shut up and go to sleep princess." kitty snapped at min ho.

vivienne pulled herself away from min ho with a laugh. "go back to sleep, min ho. i'll be right back." vivienne whispered to him getting of her bed. min ho kept on whining the entire time that vivienne was moving away from him. "i'll be back, don't worry."

"watch me take your girlfriend to the bathroom, min ho." kitty teased hooking her arm through vivienne and guiding her over to the bathroom. min ho flipped her off which kitty did it back secretly behind vivienne's back. "stay jealous." kitty said before shutting the door to the bathroom.

once the door was closed and locked kitty turned over to the vivienne. kitty and vivienne then burst into shrieks and giggled, collapsing their hands together and jumping up and down and spinning around the bathroom. "you were cuddling with min ho!"

"i was cuddling with him! and he gave me flowers!" vivienne shrieked. the two girls stopped spinning around and kitty squatted down before getting back up with a shocked face.

"he got you flowers?! did he get you the pink azalea?" kitty asked and vivienne nodded her head. kitty resumed the jumping around the bathroom. "he got you flowers! did you guys kissed?"

"no."

"no?!"

"don't worry." quincy said to kitty. the red hair girl explaining to quincy and vivienne the awkward encounter she had with dar in the morning. "i'm sure you and dae will figure out how to be cohabitating exes."

"or not." kitty said. "let's just stop talking about dae and let's talk about the fact that vivienne and min ho haven't kissed yet."

"can we please not." vivienne said shaking her head and drinking her coffee.

"no can we please. it's still sort of weird picturing you and min ho but, can you explain to me exactly what happened yesterday?" quincy said grabbing the coffee from vivienne's hand and taking sips of his own.

"he just came over and we ate what i made and fell asleep." vivienne said shrugging her shoulders but not hiding the blush that was forming on her face. "not a big deal."

"let's not forget the flowers. there were flowers involved." kitty said pointing a finger at them before taking out her phone and reading her emails.

"yeah," vivienne giggled grabbing the coffee back from quincy. "there were flowers. and lots and lots and lots—"

"ugh stop there! i don't want to hear it!" quincy said putting his hand over his ears and shook his head. vivienne laughed pretending to talk about some inappropriate stuff that she's never truly done but she loves seeing the way quincy was reacting.

"hey, guys can't you understand this?" kitty asked shoving the phone in front of their face.

"no." vivienne said pressing her lips in a tight line and shaking her head.

"i can't even pretend to read hangul until i finish this coffee. thank you, vi." quincy said snatching the coffee back from vivienne and chugging it all down.

"it says, 'we do not release information about private adoptions.' which is the only thing i know how to read in korean." kitty said making quincy groan since he was the only person that kitty was able to rant about alex since vivienne was too busy with min ho.

"ugh. can we drop this alex thing? go back to talking about you and dae or even min ho and vivienne." quincy said.

"dude it's not an alex thing. i know in my gut that alex is my brother." kitty said pointing to her gut and nodding her head.

"okay."

"or i'm pretty sure." kitty said and the two girls stopped walking when quincy stopped in front of them.

"but maybe you should talk to your for-sure siblings about this." quincy suggested.

"yes, i want to, but i can't. not yet, alex needs to know first. also, there is that minuscule chance that i am not right."

"kitty just ask him to get it over with." vivienne said sighing deeply and grabbing kitty's cup of coffee drinking some of here.

"right, rip the band-aid off. most of the school will be gone for chuseok, so this would be the perfect weekend to corner him." quincy said and vivienne nodding her head agreeing with him.

"sure. and say what exactly?" kitty asked.

quincy and vivienne shared a look, both of them struggling to say something smart for kitty. "you'll figure it out." quincy said looking down at his watch, "and we're late."

"oh god i can't be late!"

"we are? like super late?"

"very late!"

"professor lee will kill me!"

"i know!"

"kitty we're dead."

"i know!"
