chapter eight,
the one with a big surprise

━━━━ VIVIENNE had about four hours to kill until going over to the boys dorm room and watch a movie. kitty wasn't around, she hasn't seen kitty since the hike. which was where kitty left running and told them that she would be there with them in spirit and then never appeared again.

vivienne killed time by cleaning up the kitchen, fixing her bed, fixing kitty's bed. reorganizing the closet, the kitchen, and the bathroom. by the time that vivienne was done cleaning only two hours have gone by. vivienne then started cutting some fruit to eat while she waited and watched a movie on her computer.

she cut up some strawberries, apples, banana, and raspberry. once she was done cutting her fruit she heard a knock at the door. vivienne frowned grabbing a piece of the sliced strawberry and putting it inside of her mouth as she walked over to the front door. she opened the door and to her surprise min ho was standing on the other side.

"hi." min ho said breathing out the air that he was holding in.

"hey, min ho! you came just on time because im making fruit condensed." vivienne said letting min ho in. she watched the way that min ho kept on hiding something behind his back, even when he walked past her he didn't give her back to her.

"what's that?" min ho said going over to the kitchen and sitting down on the stool reaching over and grabbing a piece of the sliced banana.

"it's like a healthy desert from my dads side of the family. it's fruit but with sweetened condensed milk." vivienne said putting quotation marks over the healthy part. she went over to her fridge taking out the condensed milk. "what are you doing here?"

"oh, uh," min ho stuttered out and glanced down at his lap then back at vivienne. "promise not to laugh." when he said that vivienne burst out into a fits of laughter. while smiling min ho shook his head, "vinnne, im serious." he laughed as well.

"okay, okay, i got it all out. go on, i won't laugh." vivienne giggled opening up the condensed milk and pouring it on the fruit bowl. min ho hid his hand behind his back and with the other and pulled vivienne by her arm bringing her close to him. "oh!" vivienne giggled again setting down the can and licking her thumb that had some drops from the condensed milk.

"you better like them. i had to take the thorns off from them and they hurt," min ho said showing vivienne his fingers. vivienne put a hand over her mouth to prevent another fit of giggles or escape. he had three bandages on his fingers. "a lot."

"oh god." vivienne said stiffing her giggles and bringing her hand up to his hand examining the bandages that were poorly worn on his fingers. min ho took this time where she was distracted to take out what he was hiding from behind his back.

"vinne," min ho whispered catching her attention. vivienne hummed looking at min ho and then down at the beautiful bouquet of flowers that he had on his hand. vivienne's eyebrows lifted up, her eyes became wide and bright and her lips were tugged upwards. "i, uh, remembered when you told us that your favorite flowers were pink azalea and i ran by — on accident — a flower market after the hike and i-i thought if you."

"oh min ho." vivienne breathed out reaching for the flowers. she held them close to her chest. her fingers from her free hand reaching over to the petals and separating some apart from each other. "they're beautiful. thank you."

vivienne threw her free arm around min ho's shoulder being careful with the arm that was holding the flowers in place. min ho breathed out and smiled, wrapping his arms around vivienne's waist and bringing her body close to his. vivienne pulled her head from. her fingers on the side of his face. vivienne and min ho both tilting their head to the side.

"do you wanna watch a movie with me?" vivienne asked and then pointed her thumb over at the fruit bowl. "and eat with me."

min ho brought his hands to cup her face and dramatically saying to vivienne, "i would love too."

"you goof." vivienne giggled swatting his hands away and pulling him over to her bed.

vivienne and min ho spend the entire night binge watching movies by studio ghibli, staring with sprited away. they ate the entire fruit bowl, cuddled up on vivienne's bed with the blanket over them and the computer settled on their lap. they missed the movie night that quincy set up and vivienne made sure to text kitty to not come inside of the dorm until after. she made up a lie saying she was with someone else as she planned on telling kitty in person.

vivienne fell asleep on his arms. her arm wrapped around his torso, the faint music of the theme song of howls moving castle playing from the computer, and her leg draped on top of his leg. min ho closed the computer and fell asleep as well, turning off the lights and scooting down on the bed, giving all of his warmth over to vivienne.
