Lance felt something he hasn't in a long time and that was guilt he didn't know the question was going to have a bad affect on Keith but he should have guessed it's a scar after all

Keith didn't show up for diner that only added to lances guilt he just wanted to see Keith because he felt bad he wanted to apologize but he couldn't he messed up and now he couldn't fix it he started to feel the guilt he felt it became heavier and more tiring he just didn't know what to do he wanted to apologize he wanted to hug Keith and tell him that he could find refuge in all of them he wanted to be there for Keith and he wanted most of all to see Keith and tell him that he was sorry he just couldn't because Keith had locked himself in his room and there was no way in so Lance started to walk farther and farther from Keith's door he wanted to stay and wait for Keith but he couldn't he had to eat and get dressed he just didn't want to a part of him was pulling and yelling at him for not staying to comfort his....friend? Lance didn't know what he was to Keith a rival an annoyance a stranger a enemy Lance didn't want to dwell on that thought do he shoved it to the back of his mind with the other thoughts and went to get dressed

About an hour later time skip brought to you by lances long beauty routine

Lance was walking to the bathroom when he noticed a certain mullet pass him he was wearing the clothes he had on yesterday and looked like he just woke up but how could that be it was like 5pm how could he just had woken up he must be a really heavy sleeper or.....he didn't get anysleep last ni-....Lance cut himself of nowpt wanting to think about it Lance looked at Keith and Keith looked at Lance was standing a little outside Keith's door then without warning Keith swam away to the bathroom Lance felt even more bad so he waited for Keith outside the bathroom when the door opened Keith quickly swam away leaving Lance to his thought

and of course Lance grew even more impatient and his guilt grew more and more he swam around the castle trying to memorize the hallways that seemed never ending to Lance then allura called them down for a meeting Keith didn't respond to anyone when he was asked a question and Lance started to get annoyed so he did what he normally did when he was annoyed he started to annoy Keith Keith's emotionless face changed from a bored expression into one of annoyance after lances started calling Keith  stupid hurtful and just plain dumb nicknames but even after ten minutes of teasing keith didn't move or say anything Lance became more annoyed but Keith seemed less tense it was obviously not because of Lance but what was the cause Lance kept trying to think what could make Keith relaxed then Lance noticed Keith's breathing slow and his face relax entire along with his body Lance noticed Keith had fallen asleep how many hours did Keith get last night questions like this and a bunch more popped into lances head but before he could act on them shiro had noticed his sleeping brother

he excused himself from the meeting and brought Keith to his room where he slept happily shiro the smiled at his little brother and left the room he went back to the meeting and followed along only adding when needed or to be helpful and also to be the stereotypical dad friend the night went on like this until everyone went to bed.....
