Adrian's POV:

I wonder how long has past since I've began to stare at the lighted up sign. Maybe 2? 3? Or maybe more than that.... If I had knew earlier that something like this would have happened, I wouldn't have allowed him to go out alone with Catherine. I should have followed after them...

"Family of patient Ryan Rosary?" Ryan? He's finally out of surgery?

"How is he?! Is he fine now?" Racing to the doctor in a mess, Catherine followed behind silently as she glanced at the doctor with fear-filled eyes.

"How is he doctor?"

"The patient got 2 bullet shots but in different locations. One at his left shoulder, another at his torso. None of the bullets pierced any vital organ so it's safe to say that he'll be fine as he had not suffer any serious injuries." Thank goodness...thank goodness it's nothing serious.

"Is there anything we must watch out for him? When will he be able to get discharged?"

"I suggest for him to stay for at least a week in the hospital to ensure that everything is fine. If everything is well by the end of the week, he may be discharged. For what to watch out, do remember not to let him lie on his back or it will apply pressure on his wounds, making him feel more in pain. Also, he is not allowed to move his left arm for quite some time until his left shoulder have fully healed or else it will cause his healing process to be hindered or even open up his wound. That's all for now."

"Thanks Doctor. Can we see him now?"

"Yes you may but the patient may not be awake yet. He may wake up around late afternoon once the anesthesia wears out."

"Thanks a lot doc. Let's go, Catherine." I should inform Mum about this later.

Opening his door gently, his unconscious bandaged up frame came into view as he laid face down on his hospital bed. If only I've followed then he wouldn't need to be the one lying there in pain. It's all my fault, why did I let him go alone? Why the hell am I so idiotic!

"I'm sorry, Adrian. I should have protected him, not the other way around." She apologised guiltily as we walked towards the chairs by his bed.

"It's not your fault, Catherine. I know that Ryan would not have wanted you to be hurt in anyway. That's him through and through. He's too kind-hearted for his own good." Stroking his hair tenderly, tears brimmed up in my eyes when I realised that's he's really safe and still alive. I couldn't ask for more than him to be alive. Thank you Ryan...thanks for living.

"I agree. You really found yourself a great guy to love and to be loved by, Adrian, Treasure him and never let him go or else I'll castrate you." She joked lightly, trying to lighten the mood.

"Yes Mdm. I'm not planning to let him go at all. Trust me. It took me everything to just get him to say yes to be my boyfriend."

"I hope that everything can be settled quickly so that we can all live our own lives. We don't need anyone else dear to us to get hurt anymore. The industry we're in is never safe, especially with the large number of competitors around."

"I agree. I've also been planning on choosing a location where we can live separate from my dad so that Ryan would not have to be so bad on himself anymore by just being my personal bodyguard only."

"Your dad is homophobic?"

"An extreme one."

"That sucks."

"I know...oh shit. Can you pardon me for a sec? I have to inform my Mum about this."

"Your Mum?" She questions confused.

"Not my biological but someone who I really respect and love." She nodded understandingly as I dialed Mum's number.

"Mum?"

"Yes Adrian?"

"Ryan's in the hospital. Would you like to come down-"

"What?! Ryan's in the hospital?! What did you do to him Adrian?! Did you tear his ass?! I told you to not be so rough for the first time right?! That's what happens if you do not listen to my advice! Did you wear a condom? Didn't you lube it up? For goodness sake!" Um...it's not about that... she's jumping into her own conclusions. "Of course I'm coming down! Which hospital and what room?!"

Sigh..."I'll explain everything to you later, Mum. Harold's Hospital, level 6, room 23."

"I'll be right there. Don't you dare run away."

How Adrian is feeling on the inside ^

"Do you want to grab something to eat?"

"It's alright. I'm staying here until Ryan wakes up."

"Okay. I''ll get you something on the way back. Please call me once Ryan wakes up."

"Will do. Thanks by the way."

"It's nothing. All I can do now for Ryan is to take care of his boyfriend for him." Saying that, she left the room quietly, leaving me alone with him in the room.

Leaning my forehead against his lightly, I place a soft kiss just beside his shut eyes before placing another at the corner of his lips. 

Seems like he's still sleeping...I guess fairy tales are really just tales. Snow white is a lie...like who would really wake up from their sleep just because of a kiss. If only it's that easy to wake someone up from their deep sleep.

"Adriannnn Black!" Sigh...seems like Mum's here already. Time to explain from the start...

Please wake up soon, Ryan. I can't wait to see your beautiful pair of eyes again.
