Chapter 20

Lucian's POV:

*knock knock*

"Come in." Opening the door, he walked in nonchalantly as if he was early. This bitch...I would have him disposed off if he wasn't of any use.

"Master."

"You finally have the cheek to show your face after making wait for one whole hour." Shrugging lightly, he placed the folder down before me with a couldn't be bothered look.

"Pardon me, Master. Traffic jam." Excuses...

"Whatever. This is the person?"

"Yes, Master." He nodded without hesitation as he watched me open up the folder. I wonder who the person is.

Him?

"You sure is him?"

"Yes, Master. I can guarantee you that my informations are real."

"Okay. Your job here is done. You may leave now." Handing him a $6000 cheque, he folded it nicely into his pocket before leaving the office. Now I can finally get rid of the pesky fly.

Lying to me, thinking he can get away? Tsk tsk tsk. Foolish brat.

Watch out

Ryan.

Adrian's POV:

"Where are we going Adrian?" Ryan questions confusedly as I drove us out of the city and into the woods.

"You'll see when we get there." I bet he'll like it...or that's what I hope.

"Why are we entering the woods?"

"Hm...why don't you guess then?" Scrunching his eyebrows up, he thought hard for a while before giving it a guess. I bet that he won't be able to guess it at all.

"Um...fishing?"

"Nope."

"Kayaking?" Sounds fun but nope.

"Nah."

"Trekking?" What?

"Definitely no." I'm not someone who tires their partner out immediately on their first date.

"I'm out of ideas already...camping? I don't think so...we didn't pack any clothes. I give up. Can you give me a clue?" A clue? Um...

"Wood?" Okay...that doesn't sound like a clue at all.

"We're chopping woods? That isn't really a clue..." He said puzzledly as he pouted cutely in defeat.

"Sorry sorry. My bad. I suck at giving clues." Making a right turn, the cafe finally came into view. "Why don't you see for yourself?"

"Wow...is this a cafe or something like that?" He gazed at the cafe in awe as I stopped the car's engine.

"Yup. You guessed it."

"It's stunning..." But not at stunning as you. Okay, that sounds too cheesy. No way I'm saying that out loud.

"It's even more stunning inside. Come on, let's go in." Taking his hand in mine, we walked into the cafe, only to be hit by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

"Welcome to Fairy Tale!" The staffs there greeted warmly upon our entrance  as they led us to a table on the second floor where the top view is one of the best.

"What would you like to have Ry?"

"I'm thinking of having a R21 and a latte. You?"

"I'm getting a M15 and also a latte. I'm also thinking of getting us a P8 to share. Is that fine with you or would you like another type?"

"I'm okay with it."

"Okay. Do you have anything else you want? Feel free to order whatever you want."

"It's alright Adrian. That's more than enough already."

"Sure?" Nodding lightly at my words, I quickly pen down our orders on the slip of paper before making my way down to the counter after informing Ryan on where I'm going.

I don't need him getting worried, that's for sure.

Ryan's POV:

"Ready to go now?" Adrian asks eagerly as we exited the cafe after the hearty meal. I really loved the cafe. It feels warm and cozy inside.

"Where are we going?"

"Up."

"Up?"

"Yup." The pointed up the hill where a river follows.

"Come on. Let's go." Sticking his hand out to me, I took his hand once again before strolling up the pathway with him. My heart beat wildly as his warmth spread from his comforting large hands to my slightly smaller ones. His frame glows under the soft rays as his tight clothes emphasized his back muscles, making him look sexier than ever as his muscles flexed with every movement he made.

I can't help but keep staring at his beauty and defined structure. From his sharp jawline of his to his broad shoulders and well-built frame. He looks so perfect in all angles.

"Ryan?"

"Yes?"

"Are you alright? You've been very quiet from the start. Are you feeling unwell? We can head back down if you're not feeling good." Smiling guiltily internally, I rubbed the back of my head in embarrassment as he peered down at me in concern. This is so embarrassing. I didn't know that I was so caught up in watching him.

"I'm fine. Really." Reassuring him, he nodded hesitantly before leading us up, never failing to turn back and check every time we make a turn. He's such a worrywart. But that's what makes him him.

"We're here." Reaching the top of the hill, he handed me a piece of paper and a pen as he held one of each himself.

"What do we do with these?"

"They say that if we write our wishes down and let it down the river from the highest point, the higher chance that the wish will come true. I'm not sure if it'll really work but no harm trying right?"

"Okay. Let's do it. No peeking." He pouted a little at my words, confirming my guess. I knew he was going to peek.

"Yes Sir..."

Now let's see...what should I write? What is it do I really wish for?

"Are you done, Ry?"

"Yup." Folding it into a boat, I spun around to see Adrian doing the same.

"Oh. You folded a boat too?" He asked as he stared between our identical boats in surprise.

"Yeah. It's the easiest to sail down. Why did you fold a boat too?"

"Cuz...that's the only thing I know how to fold?" He chuckled awkwardly as he fiddled with his boat, embarrassed.

"Really?"

"Yes. Don't laugh." He turned away from my gaze immediately, making me chuckle lightly at his cuteness. "Heyy...you laughed at me."

"I did not. That was a chuckle."

"It's the same..."

"Anyways...should we set them sail now?"

"Sure." Walking over to the river bank, we place our boats side by side in the water, holding onto them as Adrian counted down. "On the count of 3. 3...2...1...0." Letting go of our boats they sailed along the river calmly as they flowed with the gentle current.

The woods really is peaceful...
