Ryan's POV:

"What's with that look on your face, Adrian? You look like you're going to kill someone." Adrian looked up with dark looking eyes as he grinned slightly at my last sentence. Boy...he gets jealous so easily.

"If it's about the gifts, you don't have to worry, Adrian. I've turned all of them down." His eyes lit up momentarily before returning to their original softness as he bit back a smile.

"All of them? Really? Why?" A grin form on his face once he realised what I've done.

"I'm yours, right? I don't think that it's appropriate of me to accept their gifts now that I'm your boyfriend...I also don't wish to give them any false hopes." I shrugged lightly, making him grin even wider. Sigh...he fails so badly at hiding his emotions, it's kinda creepy to even think of what's going through his mind.

"I wouldn't mind if you have accepted them though." That's a lie. One thing he really can do is not being able to tell a lie. Period. Whenever he lies, he will always look away from the person he's talking to and there is always a slight tremor in his voice which can't be really caught unless one listens carefully.

I'll let him go this time...it's my fault that he's acting this way after all.

"Adrian?"

"Hmm?" He stared up at me with anticipation as he eyed my lips. Not now Adrian...too risky.

"C-Check your shelf behind you. The third one to the right. I'm going off now."

"Oh...Okay?" He pouted slightly before nodding his head in disappointment. Closing the door behind me, my face heated up in embarrassment at what I've done. That is so embarrassing!

Flashback to start of work~

"Happy Valentine's Day, Ryan. Here. I got this specially for you." Amy ran up swiftly towards us before holding out a gift box in her hands to me, ignoring Adrian's presence. Er...

"Here! Take mine too Ryan!" Not again...looking up, my eyes caught Jen, one of the staffs from the editorial department making her way towards us with two others, Blue and June, both from the admin department behind her.

"No no no. Take mine Ryan. I've made these with love from the bottom of my heart." "Please accept my gift for you Ryan. You'll make me the happiest woman alive if you accept it." They dashed in, pushing Adrian further away from me.

Sigh..............................................not again.

I gave in a few times during the past few years but I don't think I can give in this time. Taking a glance at the ignored Adrian who was pushed away by them, the dark aura radiating off him is just too...dangerous and scary to be ignored.

"Boss-" He held his hand up, making me stop mid-sentence.

"Don't worry. Take your time. I'm going to my office." He waved me away before walking silently towards the lifts.

He's pissed....

"But-"

"Come on Ryan. Please just accept our gifts." They pleaded desperately with wide eyes but not as convincing as Adrian's puppy eyes.

"I'm sorry ladies but I can't accept them this time."

"Whyyyy?" They whined in union, creeping me out a little.

"Are you dating someone?" Jen questioned curiously as the others stared at me with interrogating eyes. Er...oh well.

"Yes. That's why I can't accept your gifts ladies. But I really appreciate your efforts. Whoever all of you date will be the luckiest." They sighed deeply before beaming brightly at me.

"Thank you Ryan. Congrats by the way." Blue said sincerely with a light blush on her cheek.

"All the best for your relationship, Ryan. Good luck!" Jen chirped cheerily before slapping my back hard. Ouch...never should I offend her.

"I bet the woman is beautiful. I wish you all the best anyway, Ry." June sighed once again before giving me a thumbs up. Sorry June but the person is a he, not a she.

"Good luck. Just for you to know, you can approach me anytime when you have any problem with your lover." Amy finally spoke up as she walked away nonchalantly, leaving the three behind gawking at her with wide eyes.

"Us too!"

"Thanks ladies. I better go back to work now or Boss will behead me." Saying it jokingly, they took it for real and started apologising profusely before dashing off to their departments respectively.

Flashback end~

I should go and find a place to hide now before Adrian manages to even find me after opening his shelf. Oh! I know just the place!

Adrian's POV:

My shelf? Turning my chair around, I opened it to reveal three nicely wrapped boxes hiding right inside with a mini card on one of them. Removing them cautiously, I locked my doors first before reading the card from Ryan.

To: Adrian

Happy Valentine's Day to you, Adrian. Althpugh we only started being together only recently but I would like you to know that I enjoyed every moment spent together with you.

I know I couldn't do or give you much so I hope that you'll not mind these.

From: Ryan

Opening the boxes, my heart warmed whem my eyes laid on Ryan's gift to me. It's perfect...I love it. It's simple yet perfect. He really knows what I love.

But...now I wonder if my gift is worth as much as his gift too...whatever. I'm going to give him his gift now. I can't wait anymore.

Dashing out of my office, my eyes laid on his empty desk, making me chuckle a little. He must have ran to the toilet to hide again like usual. Sending him a text, I went back into the office to wait for him, only to find him walking in shyly after 15 minutes.

Cute.

"Y-Yes?"

"Come here." Walking over to me hesitantly, I pulled him down onto my lap before wrapping my arms around him tightly. Much better.

"What are you doing Adrian? What if someone-"

"Don't worry. I locked the doors and changed it to soundproof ones last week." He gawked at me astonished when I told him about the doors being soundproof. What? Its better to be safe than sorry right?

Asking him to open up his hand, I place the white one on his palm gently before removing my hand from his view. "F-For me?" He stared at the band stunned, looking up at me with his pair of rich beautiful warm eyes.

"Yes, Ryan. For you. Will you stay with me till the end?" Showing him the matching black one I'm wearing, tears welled up in his eyes as he held back his tears.

"I will. Thank you Adrian. This is beautiful. I love it."

"No problem Ry. I love your gift too. A lot." He blushed deeply when he realised I saw his gift already as he covered his face with his hands in embarrassment.

"I...I love you." My heart skipped a beat at his confession as he averted his eyes away quickly once the words left his mouth. I think I just died from happiness and revived using his love.

"I love you too, Ryan. Happy Valentine's Day."

"Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Adrian."

I think I'm starting to look forward for Valentine's day from now on.
