Dakshineswar Mandir built by Rani Rashmoni. She was a business woman and ruled the huge business of her father-in-law. She also supported for widow remarriage, voiced out against sati daha pratha where where widows were burnt alive and against the indigo cultivation.

Jorasanko Thakur Bari is the ancestral home of the illustrious Tagore family. This place is the birthplace of the poet, writer, and social reformer Rabindranath Tagore. He spent a major part of his life in this house.

Victoria Memorial is a famous tourist place who is a memorial to the deceased Queen Victoria. It also represents the architecture of when the British invaded India.
