On the other hand, my other two roommates, K4NE and ANDR3, only wanted to live simple lives, not to trouble themselves with the war. It is, maybe... the reason of his impulsive personality."

[M1LO]-Come on, ANDR3! We are going to be late again because of you!

[M1LO]-Oh, not this time! I'm not going to be responsible for your absence again!

"Not gonna lie... I was a bit nervous about that day. It was a big day for all of us. After all those years of learning the history of our kind, survival skills, and how to use our powers properly, I wouldn't say I knew what was waiting for me in the future. The times we lived in, and even now, are a bit harsh and it won't be easy for any of us, regardless of what we chose to do. But I hoped one day that I would be useful in stopping this bloodshed, even for a bit.

When we were kids, we learnt about our city, a city constructed for the first time by M1NERV4, the second Great Leader, well placed underground in order for us to not worry about the M borns from the above finding us so easily. To think that a city so small would grow bigger than anyone could've imagined... Maybe it was Her plan all along. But regardless, I was raised in this city. The people here have the right to live a peaceful life. They all try to survive every moment, with the fear that one day we would be discovered. "Why do we have to live in fear? What did we do to deserve all of this?" I question myself every day, and maybe I'm not the only one. But there is no use hoping for an answer, as the only man who has the answer to these question is the same man that tries to kill us all. The man that I will never forgive for doing this to us: the General of the above."

[GR1FFIN]-Good morning everyone! And welcome to your graduation day!

As the graduation day commenced, a huge crowd gathered in the school's property. The teachers and the principal stood on a platform present in the center of the gather ground, while the rest of the crowd, mostly consisting of students, were scattered around that area in the form of a circle. Their attention was taken by the person speaking on the platform, the principal, yet the group of friends couldn't help but argue when they arrived at the start of the speech.

[M1LO]-Good job, asshole! We are already late!

[K4NE]-Stop making such a scene already, M1LO! At least we didn't miss anything important!

[M1LO]-We could've made it in time, you know!?

[K4NE]-To do what? It always starts half an hour after the time of presence. If you came here on time, you would've waited and wasted your time!

One of the people standing nearest to them in the huge crowd of people from the school field started to whisper harshly to them. It is one of the teachers they once had in their class, recognising him just by hearing his voice, which would explain their obedient response.

[3DMUND]-You two! Keep your mouths shut!

[M1LO+K4NE]-...Sorry, Mr. 3DMUND!

Understanding their mistake, they listened to the man and joined the huge crowd in hearing what the principal had to say.

[GR1FFIN]-As you already know, my name is GR1FFIN MILLER and I am the principal of this school, the one in charge of everything around us... as well as the one responsible for all the people that come to us. Every year, we welcome new students in our group and treat them all equally, meeting new faces and forming young minds into being responsible beings and able to survive. But, of course, no one stands here forever. As well as we are pleased that you all are going to make your paths on your own from now on, we cannot help but regret that--

"--To think that eight years ago I started going to this school after leaving the shelter in which I was raised and now I was about to leave this place as well. I made a lot of friends in that school, and I was afraid that one day I would never see them again. I knew that I might be stupid to join the military and all, but I felt bad for not even trying to help these people who protect our city every day. I didn't know much about them, but I knew they are all kind beings for doing this for all of us."

Another theory said that He isn't even one of us, but took Her role anyway. Nobody exactly knows how the Great Leader was decided after M1NERV4's death. So, over the course of our existence... some people have started believing that when we were on a weak spot, He saw the opportunity and took this role anonymously in order to become our ruler. But if it was this way, why did He continue to help us? My thought on this though was that He is simply a powerful being who had shown His abilities to rule over the city and got His right of doing so. But I couldn't say I was sure this was the truth either. As I said, nobody knows who He is even in the present. But at least He protects us all, and that's what I admired about Him."

[GR1FFIN]-...Lastly, I want to thank you for all the beautiful memories we've made these years, all of you! We are all aware of the hard times we live in, but at least we continued with a smile and a hope for a new tomorrow. Do not lose this hope of yours, no matter your future difficulties. While they were immersed in their chit-chat, a girl approached their small group.

[N04H]-Hm? What's wrong?

[C3LINE]-Oh, nothing important. We just made a plan of going to celebrate after everything is done and I wanted to take you to the organiser so you can get some details about all of this. After all, he wants everyone from this generation to be present. Mind if you come?

[M1LO]-I guess it's worth a try. Okay then!

"The girl that came, her name is C3LINE. She was a part of the group that was known for organising amazing events after each year and in some special occasions too. Can't really say we were friends or anything... I stayed more with my roommates than anyone else. But we all got along in that school even if we didn't know each other that well."

[C3LINE]-Alright! Here we are!

[AU5T1N]-I see you've invited more people to join us, C3LINE. Welcome!

"And this guy... is AU5T1N. He was the one that came up with every idea and manages to make every experience unique all the time. He was kind of the boss of that group."

[AU5T1N]-So, to get to the point, I was thinking of making a little trip far from here in order to celebrate this occasion. Somewhere we've never been before, any of us.

[M1LO]-How... far, exactly?

[AU5T1N]-How about... one of the bars from the City of Above? No one went there, that's for sure. We can use some disguises from the training classes in order to hide and bring them back when we are done. I'm sure that would be an experience nobody could even imagine of!

M1LO stood a bit shocked by what he heard. He couldn't believe his ears.

[M1LO]-Are you insane!? You learnt nothing all these years! We try to stay as far as we can from the M borns of the above and you want us to go exactly where they are!? What if we get caught!?

[AU5T1N]-Oh, come on! Don't be like that! Everybody is curious of that city after all! And I can guarantee you that we won't get caught. We will go at midnight, when the bar should be full of people, and if they ask why are we so many, we can just tell that we want to have a little party. Simple.

[N04H]-Why when it's full? Can't we go when there are just a few people?

[AU5T1N]-Because it will be a bit too suspicious to go in such a big number to an empty bar, don't you think?

[M1LO]-It's still too risky, AU5T1N!

[AU5T1N]-Living as a C born is risky, dear friend! At least we can try to live as much as we want. Can you say you truly live if you don't take a risk every once in a while? So, are you with me? Or are you too afraid of living your life?

"It's true. The idea was almost as if you encountered an insane person. But I stood a bit and thought about it. He wasn't wrong, we are always afraid of getting caught by the M soldiers and we aren't able to live our lives at all. In the end, M1LO left mad without looking back, as if N04H betrayed him.

"I knew he wouldn't agree to this. I was aware that we can lose our opportunities and all, but is it worth it to just stay underground forever? I've hidden my entire life from the outside. I was curious as well."

[AU5T1N]-Poor little guy! He's gonna lose all the fun! Don't worry, we will keep some drinks for him too. So... are you gonna be present at the entrance of the dorms at 51:30?

"I looked at him leaving and I felt a bit guilty. But I didn't want to live in the shadows forever, and I still don't want to. I wanted to see what's outside this cave and what exactly we fear. I wanted to be free!"

Though even N04H knew that accepting this invitation from AU5T1N was pure insanity, he decided in the end to give it a try, now coming towards the group of people while AU5T1N also notices his arrival.

[AU5T1N]-Ahh, N04H! You actually came!

Yet when N04H took a look around the place where the graduates were standing, his perplexity grew. There was a group of around 34 kids in front of him, waiting for everything to start. Even though he expected those numbers to be lower since it is, after all, a bold and risky decision for a simple celebration.

[N04H]-I... didn't know that we will be so many. I thought that only a few people will come since it's still a bit dangerous.

[AU5T1N]-As I said, everybody is curious about the City of Above. And, after all, you can't live your life without risks, right?

[N04H]-...Are you sure that this is a good idea, AU5T1N?

[AU5T1N]-Of course! We only need to borrow some of the disguise costumes and we will have the best night of our lives.

And then another guy from the group starts shouting.

[Student1]-And what if one of the teachers sees us? We will get in trouble!

[AU5T1N]-Stop panicking, everyone! We already planned everything. Only ten of us need to go and take them for everyone, and I think it's best that the ones who are good at sneaking fulfil this mission. While they are taking care of the quest, my friends and I will distract the teachers.

[Student2]-Won't they ask why are you awake this late though?

[AU5T1N]-Don't worry about that little detail. I informed them that we are taking the celebration in one of the bars of the south. And if they actually try to find us there, the rest of the students are already having a party and I have a guy that will keep the teachers away from knowing that we are not present. Now, enough with the questions! Let's get moving! The ones from the top of the board of the sneaking class, make your ways to Room 15.

[N04H]-Top of the board? That means...

[AU5T1N]-Yes, that includes you too, N04H! You are in top five after all. Now go!

"Well, I was a bit unlucky at that moment to be honest. From all the people that he could choose, he chose the top of the board. I was hoping that everything would be already set when I arrive, but it seemed there was no hope in that. I couldn't do anything but accept it for now. Not only that, but I wondered at the same time... did I make the right choice?"

"We entered the 15th room which was our old surviving class. The disguises here were something that I wouldn't have chosen as they were too simple. When we had our classes here, usually the one that had to find out that we are C borns was a hologram programmed to act like a normal M soldier, but who says that a hologram is the best clone of an actual being? We've never tried these in front of an actual M soldier to know if they can actually help us. So why didn't we just choose to go buy some that are actually new and more realistic? I mean, I know they cost a lot and all, but still. So I just hoped that AU5T1N knew what he was doing at this point.

But while we were taking the disguises, I stumbled upon a tiny sphere which I didn't remember at that time to be explained what was its use during our classes. I knew I've noticed it many times before but I've never bothered myself to find out what it truly was. Yet I guess it sounds ridiculous to talk about it all of a sudden, right? It sounds ridiculous to me as well, but when I first saw it with my own eyes, I had no knowledge of its actual use. In the present, of course I am aware of it, but back then, I will be honest, I was a bit curious. I didn't think they will notice if it disappeared either, it was too tiny to the naked eye. So... why not take it?"

When they were done, they hurried to get out so that no one will find them "borrowing" the school's property. In no time, they got back to AU5T1N and distributed one disguise equipment to each person present.

[AU5T1N]-Alright, I think we are ready to go in the City of Above. Put on your disguises, everyone! We have to get moving!

[N04H]-I'm going to ask you one more time, AU5T1N. Are you sure about this?

[AU5T1N]-Stop asking me that! Just trust my word and we will be fine.

[N04H]-Yeah... I hope so...

The City of Above

"After a while of running and sneaking around wherever we thought it was safer to avoid any unwanted eyes on us, we finally arrived at one of the entrances to the City of Above. It was so... different than what I've imagined. Compared to our city, there were a lot of tall buildings and open areas. In our city, the tallest building is the Central Military Base. As for the open areas, you can barely find them. All the buildings are close to each other and only the principal roads separate them. For a city in which our cruel enemies live in, it was indeed a beautiful place.

It was hard for us to find one bar as everything looked so different, though. We had to ask some people in order for us to find one, and of course, to lie. It wasn't an easy task talking to the people that we hate the most. Knowing how much they made us suffer in the past and needing to keep acting normal isn't as simple as we thought. And I still had a bad feeling about this... as if someone was suspecting us."

[AU5T1N]-Alright! I think we finally found one!

And with that, they entered a building nearby, in hope that they were right. And fortunately, they were.

"Even the bars there looked different than ours. Our bars aren't so spacious, the idea behind them is just to get a quick drink after a tough day and usually chat with the bartenders or simply with the people you come with. But here, the concept of a bar seemed more like a club. Maybe that's why AU5T1N chose this idea."

They all entered the bar in the end and got their drinks. To their surprise, it was actually pretty empty. The only person that they saw was the bartender. But no one seemed to be bothered by this thing, even though the plan was different. 'Cause it seems like their attention was taken by this strange bar and the idea behind it. Most started having fun on the open area, while others decided to just stay and chat with the bartender.

[N04H]-Mr. Bartender?

["Barman"]-Hm?

[N04H]-May I ask for your name?

["Barman"]-...My name?

[N04H]-Yeah! Like... how are you called by the others?

["Barman"]-...Why do you wish to know for my name?

[Student3]-Because it's normal to know the name of the person that you are chatting with, that's why!

["Barman"]-...

[N04H]-We just want to talk with you, that's all!

["Barman"]-...

[N04H]-If that's... fine to you...

"We've tried talking to the bartender being a habit of ours, but he wasn't really co-operating. He was just staying there and looking at us with a serious face... As I thought, he wasn't friendly at all. Just as the others from this city."

["Barman"]-...In all those years of working in this business, I've never encountered someone that wanted to talk to the barman. So? Are you working for them? Did I not pay something in time?

[N04H]-..."Them"?

["Barman"]-To be honest, I've never imagined they will actually hire kids, but everything is possible at this point after all.

[Student4]-I'm sorry, but what are you talking about?

["Barman"]-...?

He looked at them confused when he heard this answer. Who are those "them" anyway? N04H was starting to get puzzled as well, let alone to try and think about it.

["Barman"]-...So you actually came here to just have fun and chat?

[Student3]-Yes, Sir!

["Barman"]-...

"The more we spoke, he seemed to be even more confused than us. But then he looked at me, straight into my eyes. I... was scared, truth to be told. It seemed that his confusion changed into something else in that moment as well. He was... strange in my eyes... But maybe it was normal since we never stayed with an M born from the above in general back then."

["Barman"]-...Fine then. Tell me if you need anything.

"The time we had was amazing, not gonna lie. Everybody had fun and many of them didn't even want to hear the plan of when we will leave. As for me, I've tried many times to talk even a bit with the barman, but he just avoided every question. I don't know what I actually had in mind back then, since in my eyes, all the people of the above were the same: stubborn and merciless. They only think about themselves. That was the idea that we were raised with after all...

But after some time of living our lives, the fun stopped as more people entered the bar. I knew I saw them before, as the uniforms they were wearing were familiar to me. They were similar to those of what the school taught us: the uniforms of the M soldiers. And of course they were... I got my answer in a few seconds."

[NEH3MI4H]-I see everyone is having fun here, am I right?

"Everybody from my group recognised the uniforms. We all got scared and didn't know what to do. I've managed to hide myself under a table before they could see me though. So more than watching from there, I couldn't do much."

["Barman"]-...Good day, Officer NEH3MI4H! I'm afraid you came at a wrong time. I already informed you that I'm going to pay the debt in the next ten days.

[NEH3MI4H]-Oh, I didn't come here for your money! I came here because of a rumour about a party at which I wasn't invited. So... what are we celebrating here?

["Barman"]-...

[Student5]-W-We are just... having a party, Sir! We wanted to have a little bit of fun between friends!

"My mind was going to the same idea over and over: the bartender most likely told them about our presence here. It was most likely him. Just as I thought, that bastard was the same as the others."

[NEH3MI4H]-Oh, how sweet... Mind if my colleagues and I join you?

The man did a sign to the others and the soldiers started inspecting the kids in no time, probably to make sure that they are not one of them. More exactly, they were trying to reap the part that makes their disguises work, being present somewhere around their chest area. N04H was watching everything, not knowing what to do. When they succeeded to take off the disguise from one of the girls of the group, the Officer came, wishing to see a result.

In order to find what he was looking for, he waited for the whole appearance to reveal itself slowly and make the differences in their races more clear. If the girl was to have normal colours of hair and eyes, just like humans do, then she was either an R born or an M born. If it is for the girl to have a specific colour at the end of her hair and also in her eyes that can react to her emotions and whenever she uses her powers, then she is a C born. When the appearance was revealed, it was pretty clear that she belonged to that group, as she had the colour orange in both her hair and her eyes. Everyone, in fact, belonged there since they were all C borns, including N04H who has the C colour green, but the soldiers managed to reveal only one of them. Still, one C born was enough to make the decision of taking the whole group.

[NEH3MI4H]-Tell me, orange girl... Why are you hiding your true appearance? Are you afraid that you are too ugly? Hahahah...

"I could see from my position how the girl was shacking, she could barely even keep herself in her own feet. I could see how she was almost about to cry as well. I mean... I was scared too, who says I wasn't about to cry as well?"

[NEH3MI4H]-...Take them all! Do not let any of them escape!

And with that command, all of the people from the group started running out of fear. But it had no point anyway. They all got captured no matter what they've tried. Even with their powers, they weren't experienced enough to fight them all.

"In the end, they caught them all, and I was useless as I was watching from under the table where I was hiding. Maybe the military wasn't my true call. And I thought that... maybe I wasn't really made to protect people."

[NEH3MI4H]-I will have to admit, you all made me curious. Where have you been hiding all this time without getting caught, hm?

"I knew it was only a matter of time before they will find me as well. But then something fell from one of my pockets and it seemed that the sound attracted one of the soldiers. But when I looked, it was the tiny sphere that I found in Room 15. I still didn't know what its use was, but I took it in my hand, hoping it will at least calm me. The man was coming closer and closer in my direction and I knew that I won't escape. But when he lifted the table, to my surprise, he just took a look and then left. I was so confused while trying to not say a word. But then I looked at my hand and realise that I cannot see myself either. I've become invisible."

"I rushed to the exit in order to leave while I had the chance. How didn't I know anything about a device that makes you invisible before? The school never taught this to us. And what was it doing in the school anyway? Did nobody really know that it was there? Or am I not the only one who didn't know about this device's existence? It didn't matter anyway. All I knew was that I have to run. I left the bar as quick as I could, but behind me I was hearing that guy talking to someone again."

[NEH3MI4H]-Do not try to resist! You know that you have to pay for the sins that you've committed, for everything that you've done!

"Everything that we've done, huh?"

N04H does seem to run wherever he looks, going back to where he came from and see if he can find any help. And so, after some minutes of running blindly, he arrived back in the Underground City.

"I rushed in the Underground City in order to find someone to help me with this situation. My first thought was to go to the teachers, but then they will find out that we sneaked into the City of Above without them knowing and we will all get in big trouble. Not only that, but who knows if they were useful in these kind of situation as well? My second choice were my friends, but they were just kids, just like me and just like all the others that got caught. I couldn't risk their lives too. Then I thought of asking some people from the Central Military Base, maybe they could help me the best. But if I do that, I will ruin my entrance there just because of this situation. But then..."

[LUK3]-Ouch! Hey! That hurt, buddy!

"...I bumped into a weird man with a scar on his nose."

[LUK3]-Look where you are going, alri... Hey!! Are you alright? Did you hurt yourself? Why are you crying???

It does seem as N04H is very scared about this whole situation and couldn't keep himself cool from his worry for too long. Then, a woman approaches as she starts talking to the strange man with the C colour being gold. She too was a C born, but her colour cannot be seen by human eyes correctly, only appearing as purple: Vewfhroorav.

[KYR4]-What did you do this time, LUK3?

[LUK3]-I didn't do anything this time!! This kid bumped into me and started crying! Stop blaming me for everything that happens!!!

[KYR4]-Oh, dear M1NERV4...

"The second person was a woman. Only her facial expression was needed to scare me. She was a cold person, I assumed."

[KYR4]-Hey, kid! What's wrong? What did this idiot do to you?

[LUK3]-HEY!!

"At this point, I didn't care who was going to help me. Weird strangers or the military people, I just wanted someone that was ready to help no matter the situation."

[N04H]-...M-My friends have been captured by the soldiers of the M!

They both looked at N04H shocked so he tried to explain to them everything.

[N04H]-...One of the people from my group came up with the idea of celebrating our graduation in one of the bars from the City of Above, but their military forces found us and took them all!

[LUK3]-Hold up, hold up! Then how did you escape?

And so, he took the sphere from his pockets and showed it to them.

[N04H]-W-With this thing.

Now they looked more confused then ever. Both studied the object carefully, the girl taking it in her hand and looking closer.

[KYR4]-...How did you get this?

[N04H]-I found it in one of the classes in my school. I-I'm from the Central School.

With that response, the guy looked at the woman and started talking with her.

[LUK3]-But I thought only the military bases have access to these devices.

[KYR4]-...Those bastards from the center are never careful in what they are doing. Now they leave secret devices in schools? For fuck sake, we shall vote for banning visiting the schools for advices from the military the next time we have a meeting with the Council...

[N04H]-What is this device anyway...?

[KYR4]-Tell me, how many of your friends were caught out there?

[N04H]-Around 34, I think.

[LUK3]-*sigh* That's a big number...

[KYR4]-Should we tell Master?

After some time of him running, he finally put N04H back on his own feet and took the scarf off his eyes. N04H started following them as he didn't recognise this building at all. But then another guy with the C colour blue started talking to them from the back, noticing their strange behaviour.

[C0NNER]-And... where do you guys think you are going at this hour? Without informing Master?

[LUK3]-Shit... Why is he here at this hour?

[KYR4]-...Yeah, you explain it to him from here, big guy!

[C0NNER]-...Well?

N04H managed to look back at the guy who was talking to them. He seemed to be younger than these two, not by a lot, but still. Then, the man next to N04H took a breath and looked straight at him.

[LUK3]-Alright, alright... So, KYR4 and I were minding our own business, like, you know... the usual. And then this kid happened to bump into me and said he got into a little situation... sooo, I decided to take him here and help.

"The guy looked at me with contempt. He was looking even younger than these two people that took me there. Yet this guy seemed even colder than the woman, as if he doesn't even want to deal with us."

[C0NNER]-...Are you two out of your minds? You can't just take everyone that you meet on the streets and bring them here!

[LUK3]-JUST LISTEN! His friends got captured and we have to save them! I couldn't just let him wander around the city crying! You know this feeling better than any of us, after all!

He looked a bit annoyed by this response, but N04H didn't know enough to understand why. At the moment, he didn't dare to add any word, just to make sure that he doesn't make the situation worse.

"It felt... strange. These people were so weird and it felt horrible when there was a bit of silence between them. It felt like I was at fault for their fight."

The Underground Tunnels

"In a few minutes, we've arrived in the Underground Tunnels. I've heard a lot of things about them at that time. When we went in our group, we took a direct way to the city. Those ways are usually used just to get into the city faster. But, those tunnels are spread so that you can access the closest locations to where the usual missions are done. They are very complicated and you actually need a map in order to arrive at the right exit.

But I still hadn't figured out who those guys were anyway. The uniforms that they were wearing didn't seem to match any of the military bases from the selection papers. I really didn't know who they were at that time, so I just assumed for the time being that they are some kind of a small organisation."

[N04H]-...M-Me?

[KYR4]-Yeah, of course I'm talking to you! Who else could I be talking to?

[N04H]-Sorry, Miss!

[LUK3]-Awww, he called you "Miss"! We have a little gentleman, don't we?

[KYR4]-LUK3, I swear to the heave... Oh, forget it! I'm not going to fight with you now. Tell me kid, do you remember anything about the people that got your friends?

[N04H]-I know that the bartender called their Officer "NEH3MI4H"... But I don't think I know anything about the others.

The girl then takes two objects that are the same, looking like sticks, from her hair. All this time, N04H didn't pay attention to them that much as he thought they are just a part of her hairstyle forming an X. But now they seem to have an actual role in what she is doing. She connects them both and then appears some kind of screen in the form of a hologram. She then interacts with the screen in order to somehow make what she said she wanted to do.

[KYR4]-...And done! Do you see anything?

The guy raised his hand and activated another hologram. He puts his hand on it but instead of pressing some buttons, he just looks straight into nothing while his hand is connected to the screen.

[C0NNER]-...There was a group of people walking in this area around 30 minutes ago. Around 40 people... I spot... a girl with the C colour orange in the group. Any connections?

[N04H]-Yes! The girl was from my group! She was the first one who got caught!

[C0NNER]-They are heading to a large vehicle. They get in and go to the left... right to the third base of the north.

[LUK3]-Ehh... no problem. The third one has only one room which they use for execution. It will be easy!

[KYR4]-...You spoke too fast, LUK3. It is registered to be an inspection there by the General at 04:30. They will hurry with the execution just for this reason. Nobody can sleep at this hour, huh?

[C0NNER]-We need to hurry then. We don't have time nor enough people.

[KYR4]-Affirmative.

The strange man leaves them behind, going towards one of the exits of the tunnels in a rush.

[KYR4]-You heard me, Green Head! Just, stay here and wait! You are not prepared for this mission at all! You can't help us with anything!

"But of course, I didn't want to listen to her. There were my friends' lives involved. And because of that, I started thinking of a plan. Then I remembered the device that helped me escape."

[KYR4]-Hey, what do you think you are doin--

"--So I took the device from her pocket in which she put it and ran so I can help my friends on my own."

Of course N04H didn't listen, as he left and vanished already.

"I entered the building and made my way through different corridors while the device was keeping me hidden. I didn't really know my destination, all I knew was that these rooms are usually at the lowest level, meaning that they are suppose to be in some kind of basements. So, in order to get to it I had to go to the lowest level of the building. Then, I bumped into something that I couldn't see, or, well... someone.

His devices seem to have been disabled, while I dropped mine from my hand because of the impact. It was that weird guy again, but this time, he had an armour put on him. How did he get it in such short time and what is that armour? I didn't know in that moment. I've never seen such an advanced armour before at that time. Everyone says that the people who go on missions are in their uniform and a bit of armour to protect them from bullets, but that? That was on another level from what I imagined. Such an advanced technology..."

The man looked at N04H confused, but before he could say a word, he heard someone coming their way. He took his device off the part of his chest from the costume where it was hidden, took N04H's hand so that they could both hold it and kept silent. They waited for the person to leave their area so that they can disable the device, then he started whispering.

[LUK3]-What the hell are you doing here??

[N04H]-I'm here to help you!

[LUK3]-ARE YOU SERIO... Dammit! Who was responsible for taking care of the kid??

[/KYR4]-So I suppose you found him.

[LUK3]-Yeah... Great...

[/C0NNER]-You guys better hurry. There is someone coming your way again.

[LUK3]-Those are alarms that announce the soldiers to present themselves outside for a mission or an emergency. If KYR4 hacks their system and activates the alarms, we won't have to worry about them. But I need to put a USB in their control panel in order for her to have access.

[LUK3]-Shh... Keep your mouth shut a bit...

"I couldn't really see what he was doing as we were both invisible and the devices didn't seem to help us see the others that use them, but we stopped at an intersection between corridors. I moved a bit forward in order to see why we stopped and I spotted a surveillance camera. I understood why he told me to shut up, but why did he stop? The camera can't see us, can it? Then I heard something from his airpods."

[/C0NNER]-Take the right way. It's shorter than the others.

"So he just stopped for direction, huh?"

They take the right way as the guy said and move forward, and of course he starts answering his question.

[LUK3]-...I don't activate it myself because I can't activate it. Those buttons for the alarms are well hidden in this building as in any other one so that only they know their locations. Our only way is to hack the system. If we stood to find them, we wouldn't have time to save your friends. Plus, we have more than just alarms to activate here. How do you think we can open the door without them hearing?

"After that answer, I felt a bit stupid for asking this question in the first place."

[LUK3]-The cameras in any area are easy to hack for KYR4, they don't need anything special. But the control panel is usually harder, depending on which building you go. So, she usually puts someone to connect a USB in it so she can take control, in this case, I'm that person.

"They did seem to do this for years now, but that only brought me more questions about these people. Their technology seem to be more advanced than what we have in schools. Sure, maybe the device that I found is something common, as that girl said it is, as it only used in the military bases, but I've never heard of people having a whole advanced armour used in missions."

He connects the device as the girl said, takes N04H by his arm and starts running.

The alarms have started and they were almost at the door of the room. Every enemy was running towards the exit while they were running the opposite way, hidden. When they arrived, there was no one left at the entrance of the room. The door got unlocked and they could enter to take them out. They disabled their devices so that N04H's friends can see them, before starting to shout.

[LUK3]-Everyone! This is an evacuation! Follow me if you want to live!

"It felt great knowing that we could save them all in the end. But while he was taking every colleague of mine out, I noticed a familiar person, staying alone in a corner, a face that I didn't really like... It was the barman."

[N04H]-You...

"...And he avoided making eye contact with me as well. Just like when we first met, he refused to co-operate."

[N04H]-Why are YOU here?

["Barman"]-...

"He still doesn't want to talk, huh?"

[N04H]-YOU told them about us. Why did you come here? To see them die so you can satisfy yourself!?

"I was looking at him and felt miserable. He didn't seem to want to move either. He was just staring at the ground."

["Barman"]-...Didn't you want me dead anyway? If you leave me here, you will get what you wished.

[N04H]-That... doesn't matter now. Let's go!

"And... he looked into my eyes and took a breath, before he decided to move. Then, we were finally ready to leave this building. But it felt strange... He was an M born of the above, why would they punish their own kind? I thought they punish only the C borns, us, because they hate us."

They started following the weird man back to the exit, almost out of the area, just a few more corridors. But then, the enemies noticed them from the back and started following them, shooting with their guns. Fortunately, these beings cannot even get harmed without the need of a specific gas. And since they weren't affected by the gas which disables their immunity, the only worry was to not get knocked on the ground from the impact. But N04H knew that the enemy was aware of this thing. They were aiming at their heads so that when there was impact between the bullet and the head, it can make a person unconscious.

The strange guy noticed that as well, so he made himself being the last one in the group so he can protect them all. They were running forward at his commands. But then, they finally got out of the building and managed to get in the underground tunnels without the enemies noticing. They've managed to survive.

"It took us an intense chase to finally reach the exit and go back to where we came from. And in that moment it seemed like I'm in debt to that strange guy for good."

"At that point, the words "just like me" were like some weird dreams that someone could have, 'cause I thought all the M borns from the above kill us because they hate our kind. It was almost impossible for me to believe him. And yet... he spoke to me even more."

["Barman"]-I... found her on my way to work when she was a newborn. I didn't understand how she got there and how she wasn't caught by one of the guards, so I took her home and raised her as my own child. I know that there are people who take newborns and hide them around the city so that they can be found by others, so I thought that maybe someone wanted to help her. The strange guy seemed to have listened for a while to their conversation and came to them.

Then... he decided to speak."

And so, he took out a board game and started setting it up. It appears to be something similar to the game "Chess" that we have, but the pieces have different shapes and colours, and even seem to have different positions. One part is red, and the other one is blue.

[LUK3]-Ah, the good old board game everybody loves... Did you ever play it?

[N04H]-I don't think I remember its name...

[LUK3]-Oh, don't worry. The name is unimportant anyway. I've heard many legends about this game before actually... It is truly interesting.

Meanwhile, D4N7E came back with the drinks. For the man, it seemed that he put an alcoholic drink, which was truly something that N04H would've assumed he liked.
