"I have no idea what happened after you left me alone and went into that building, as each time I've asked you about it, you were avoiding the question. You, falling from the building of our enemy from that explosion, even with your armour on, and you didn't seem as you were moving either... All that I knew the moment I saw you was that I had to act quick before I regret it. And so I did."

The moment he put the gun down, he knew he had to get into action quickly. So, he jumps off the building from where he was standing, then jumps from tall buildings to smaller ones, moving as quick as possible until he gets closer to CHE5TER's location, where he jumps towards Him to catch His fallen body and both of them falling on the roof of a smaller building nearby as a consequence, with the ruler being in the arms of His brother during the fall. RY4N seems like he got injured a bit as well, but he wasn't affected by the gas so it was only the impact who got him weaker this time.

When he recovers a bit from the impact of the fall, he looks back at his brother, who was laying down on the ground and didn't seem to move from the impact. He can't see His face though, as the armour of His equipment is covering all of His body. RY4N was on the ground as well, right besides his brother, while the pain wasn't really helping him in this situation. He was weak and he couldn't move that well either, but he pushes slowly his brother to wake Him up.

[RY4N]-*cough* *cough*...CHE5TER. CHE5TER, take off your armour. *cough*

...But no response. Not even a muscle moved.

[RY4N]-CHE5TER? CHE5TER, can you hear me? *cough*

Still no response. He gets closer to Him to try and disable His armour on his own this time, but all in vain. The armour is too damaged to even respond to any command. As he tries again and again, the armour simply continues to give an error.

[RY4N]-...CHE5TER? Come on, respond to me! *cough* There is no time for passing out now! I know the landing wasn't easy and all, but--

And yet again, no response. But RY4N notices something off about the armour when he analyses it closer. In the heavily damaged area, His right arm for example, a dark liquid is coming out, so it doesn't take long before RY4N realises that CHE5TER has been injured on His hand and loses blood.

He then starts calling at the base for the people that remained behind that might help out once they manage to get back. And the person who he calls is, of course, MY4.

[/MY4]-RY4N? What is it? How's the mission going?

[RY4N]-...MY4, listen to me. Make sure to be outside the base at the entrance of the west in the tunnels in a few minutes. *cough* *cough*

[/MY4]-Why? What's happening?

[RY4N]-Just be there and I will explain everything later! I will see you there, alright?

[/MY4]-*sigh* Okay, okay. I will be there in a minute.

When they finish the call, RY4N starts talking to the team as well. After all, they are the ones who remained to not know anything about what's happening.

[RY4N]-...Everyone! Can you hear me?

[/M4SASH1]-Master RY4N? What's happening? You and the Leader didn't give any sign of life for a while now.

[RY4N]-You all have to listen to me, please! Retreat to the base! Pack everything, take the wounded and go back home!

[/J4CE]-Alright! See you there!

And then he finally lets go of his airpod. He tries one more time to disable the armour, in vain, and then decides to get up on his own feet, taking CHE5TER's other arm and putting it around his neck, holding Him close and trying to return home. But his body is shocked from the impact too, so it's hard for him to walk properly, not to mention the bonus weight he has to carry as well. His vision is blurry from the impact at the moment, almost as if he is ready to pass out too, yet he continues to fight.

[RY4N]-*cough* *cough*...Hold on there, Ches! MY4 will treat your arm at the base, I promise! *cough* I hope it's not something serious with your hand, god dammit.

The Underground Tunnels

"...Though I'm worried almost every minute now, back then I was trusting his decisions and skills. Even wounded I knew he will be fine. But back then I thought that the wound he had was nothing that I should worry about much, like only getting his arm unusable for some months. The impact of the landing affected me too after all, so I thought that maybe he got a bit unconscious because of it at that time. After all, he is a C born while I'm an R. An impact or an injury affects him more than it does to me because of his energy. But Hell, that fall almost made me pass out, I will be real...

It is a complicated anatomy that I will probably never fully understand. I'm not the only R born in the base, but most of the people here are C beings. I've tried many times to understand the logic of the energy of a C born, but all I could get was that the lower the energy, the weaker the body. And to be honest, things like that happened when we were kids as well. When he was learning how to navigate around the city on his own, he fell many times until he got better at it. And sometimes it did make him unconscious as the landing took a bit from his energy too sudden. Maybe that's why I wasn't that worried, because I was already used to this type of problems.

But I wish I was more concerned back then. This was nothing like a simple sudden energy loss from a landing. Yes, it's true that you didn't seem heavily wounded at first, Ches, since only around the hand I'd noticed blood and the armour barely seemed severely damaged in other areas... But I guess I was wrong."

And so, minutes later, RY4N gets closer to the specific location where he told MY4 to come, alongside his brother, who still didn't seem as He wanted to wake up. MY4 seems as she did wait for a while there, until she finally saw the two guys getting closer to her and went after them. Both of them looked injured, so probably it excuses her confusion on her expression the moment she begins observing them. Yet RY4N falls to the ground not long after, on his knees, as he can't bear any more steps from the pain.

[RY4N]-...MY4! *cough* *cough*

[MY4]-What happened? Why do you both look in such a weak state?

[RY4N]-*cough* Long story...

He then puts CHE5TER down slowly, before he too sits to rest for a while. MY4 in the meantime takes from her small bag a handkerchief which she dips in a bit of Histvorh and cleans RY4N's body where she thinks his pain is after analysing his weak state. But RY4N stops her in a second.

[RY4N]-...I'm fine MY4. Don't worry about me, the gas didn't affect me at all. *cough* It's just a shock from a landing.

[MY4]-Even so, keep covering your body so you can feel a bit better.

[RY4N]-Look at CHE5TER to see if he's fine though. We've landed pretty hardly and maybe it's the reason of his unconsciousness, but I noticed some blood around the right arm. *cough* *cough* Do you think you can treat it?

[MY4]-I think so... But I need for His armour to be disabled in order for me to analyse His wound.

[RY4N]-*sigh* I've tried to disable it myself but it simply gives an error over and over again. Probably only CHE5TER can take it off now... *cough*

So, MY4 sits down on CHE5TER's right side and tries to disable it herself. At least she gives it a try even if it doesn't work at her either. Then, she looks at His face which she cannot see and tries to wake Him up.

[MY4]-CHE5TER. CHE5TER, wake up. I need you to take your armour down so I can treat your hand. CHE5TER.

But in vain yet again. He doesn't respond even to her. She looks then at RY4N for a bit to get more information.

[MY4]-How badly was the landing, RY4N?

[RY4N]-...Pretty badly, but I think I amortised His a bit. I'm an R and I felt like losing consciousness myself after it, MY4.

[MY4]-How long ago was it?

[RY4N]-I'm not sure... Maybe around 15 minutes ago? *cough* *cough*

[MY4]-But it's not normal to stay this much unconscious...

She looks again at CHE5TER and tries moving Him slowly to wake Him up.

[MY4]-...CHE5TER. Come on, wake up. It's me, MY4! Can you hear me?

Still in vain. She looks at His face in hope she might get an answer, but of course she won't get any.

[MY4]-*sigh* Maybe we can try and call someone to help out with His equipment?

[RY4N]-I have a better idea...

[MY4]-Hm? RY4N? What do you want to do?

RY4N then gets closer too and starts grabbing a part of His armour to remove it from His face first to make it easier for Him to breath, maybe believing that His unconsciousness is also caused that He doesn't have enough air from His mask, yet MY4 seems a bit concerned.

[MY4]-...N-No!! Wait! You can hurt Him if you are not carefu--

But he does it anyway. He starts ripping off a part from the armour, but the armour even damaged as it is still remained hard to break apart. He succeeds after a few struggles, finally managing to reveal a part of His body, but the happiness from the success ends in just a second, as they both stare at the unconscious ruler, laying on the ground. Half of His face is all covered in blood, and such an ugly wound just standing under His left eye. There are even pieces of the broken armour that got into the wound, not to mention the blood which flows from His nose and mouth from His injuries. As for His energy, you can barely even see something left. His C colour faded away completely and what remained was that dark brown hair of His. At this moment, they both get scared seeing that the hand is not even what they have to fear now. RY4N then starts ripping off the rest of the armour around His body, managing first to take the one from His chest and stomach.

And so, the nightmare begins. Another wound on His stomach is revealed, but one worse than anything else. Just like the other one, some pieces of the armour got stuck in, but the problem aren't the pieces themselves, more like how badly the wound is. It is so deep that you can say a part of His stomach is missing, as if it was cut off or got deformed. His clothes absorbed some of the blood, but even so, the wound is so visible like nothing else. The arm doesn't even matter now. A simple hand is nothing compared to the wound that takes His life away.

MY4 is even paralysed seeing Him like this. The unconsciousness wasn't from what they thought at all...

[RY4N]-...MY4?

...It was more because He was taking His last breaths before starting His eternal rest in front of them.

[RY4N]-MY4, he isn't breathing...

MY4 panics and puts her head on His chest, but she loses control over her body completely after doing this action. Her hands are shacking, her breathing is chaotic, even RY4N sees it. It doesn't take long before he too realises that His heart stopped beating completely and she runs out of ideas how to save Him. Even with the shock though, she starts pushing His chest over and over again to make Him breath again. After a bit of pushing, she blows some air into His lungs through His mouth before pushing again and blowing again. This takes some good time, enough time for MY4 to start losing hope bit by bit and beginning to cry like she never did before.

The team also seems as it finally managed to return in the meantime as well, but this wasn't the welcome the soldiers have imagined to see. In front of everyone was an Officer, a Healer and the Great Leader dying right before their eyes. Some got shocked, others got paralysed as well. RY4N does notice them not long after, and so he orders for them to take action.

[RY4N]-DON'T JUST STAY THERE AND WATCH! GO FIND THE OTHER HEALERS AND BRING THEM HERE! NOW!!

Around two or three people listen to his commands, but the others remain on the spot, unable to move at all. Then, RY4N turns back to His dying brother.

[RY4N]-CHE5TER! CHE5TER, WAKE UP! WAKE UP, NOW! PLEASE, CHE5TER!

MY4 is still pushing on His chest and blowing air one more time, before she finally gives up from exhaustion and cries heavily with her head on His chest, unable to hear any more of His heartbeats again.

Everyone is looking down as a respect for the fallen ruler, yet some are simply paralysed by this event. One of them is C0NNER, of course, who is watching the man that saved his life when he was younger die on the ground because of the same enemy that took the people he once had. RY4N doesn't look that good either, as he tries not to have a mental breakdown in front of everyone, so he too just looks at MY4 crying on his brother's corpse. Many of them lost hope just from this view alone that moment.

Then, maybe it was a small miracle coming from M1NERV4 Herself and shocks MY4 instantly, as she hears one heartbeat just for a second. She thinks at first that it's her imagination, but then she hears another one, and another one. Then, all of a sudden, CHE5TER coughs two times before finally starting to breath again, even if His breathing wasn't normal, struggling to do so because of His serious injuries. MY4 then raises her head instantly and checks His breathing, before smiling for a second and putting her hand on His wound from the face, as if she tries to cover it with love. She kisses His forehead and stands for a bit with her eyes closed, while their heads touching each other to calm herself down first. His breathing is hard, almost as if He cannot breath at all, but at least she knows that He can still be saved.

And so, help finally appears. Around five more people come and sit next to His weak body to help out with everything they can. Two work on the wound from the stomach, one works to take off the armour from the hand and treat it, one tries to clean the blood from His face so he can treat it as well and another one is giving Him shots of Energy Killers over and over again to regain even a bit of His energy back and not let Him die because of it. MY4 was still not moving from all the fear she was battling now, but everyone let her calm herself down first than stress her out with any work.

"...It was maybe the hardest time of my life that day alone. As much as I wanted to stay strong like I did when our father left these lands, I was dying on the inside the more I was watching him on the ground without any bit of consciousness. He was my only family left in this world after all, and I couldn't bear the idea that my own brother by code, the boy that I was raised with my whole life and the one that knew me the best... was one step away from Death's door. It broke me into pieces, even though I've tried to not show it. Maybe this is the reason of my constant worry from the present day, and the reason why I do not trust his words as much as I did before.

I know that I have people around me everywhere and all, but no one compares to those that I call family no matter what. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for all the help I've got, but those that I was raised with are the most special people in my life. In the end... all I could do in that moment was to watch them take him away from me and set him in a room where he can be treated, alone."
