T W E N T Y - N I N E ; MOON

________I can feel all the things you've ever felt before...

Most keepsakes revive cherished moments spent with love ones and agreeable emotions crashing upon a gentle heart.

The very first time you've seen that special person, unaware that they were all along your soulmate.

Sleepless nights' talks and secrets, validating a precious and unbreakable bond based on trust, mutual respect and eternal love.

A furtive moment in which you can finally look down and realize you've just climbed the highest mountain ever put on your path, battling through thick and thin and ultimately falling on your knees, exhausted yet standing on the top of the world.

And there are the ones that are so painful that the slightest scrap of memory is enough to wreck your heart instantly, mercilessly offering you the remains of it still beating - you don't live anymore, you simply barely survive.

Those you would have never even thought you'd witness, countless warnings not able to make you doubt of your certainty regarding that one person.

That one person who found you half dead in the middle of the war and tried his best to fix you, to put together the missing pieces.

He would have given his own existence in hopes to rekindle the slightest of light inside of the endless shadows you're walking through. His words were so pure that they could momentarily blind the world of darkness you've been trapped in for so long.

But in the end, you're the one who broke down the only person capable of saving you, of offering you the salvation you're craving.

Sasha's gaze is glued to the macabre scene repeating over and over, as if she's attempting to punish herself for causing the fall of such an immaculate entity.

Lonely inside of her hotel room she can feel all the blood staining her hand and for the very first time, it scares her. It's frightening her to comprehend the extent of her power, to realize that she's able to corrupt about any purity walking upon this devious earth.

"I never wanted all of this." She mutters to herself, her culpability killing her slowly as Zayn's sorrowful expression replays inside of her brain.

"Neither did I. But even you have to admit that I was right on him." An unpleasant and way too familiar voice breaks the unbearable and oppressive silence, positioning himself on the bed beside Banks.

Rollins clasps his hands together, glazed eyes and heavy breath demonstrating of his need to get the entire event out of his system as well as the others. From what he gathered both Emma and Kevin deserted the hotel together, the blonde one tiressly screaming at the furious Canadian to calm down.

Therefore Sasha found herself all alone, her lifetime regrets as sole companions.

"I can't believe he could do that to me." She whispers, the entire situation still hard to process for her poor heart.

"To hook up with that expendable woman when he's obviously aware of your feelings for him, even I find it despicable." Seth spits out, raising his voice to insist on the fact he's clearly outraged and infuriated about the so called heart and soul of NXT's actions.

Dead silence follows, even the ghosts of both Banks and Rollins' past apparently frozen still, the revelation being too untypical of Sami to swallow, even for them.

He notices her struggling for air, her respiration racing in a concerning way as she's attempting to complete a full, meaningful sentence but fails miserably.

"What ?" She manages to murmur, her voice already broken and the sound of it barely making its path through the Iowa native's ears.

"I thought you knew. About Emma." Seth sincerely answers, turning towards a falling apart Sasha, shock distinguishable in his stare and confusion rapidly taking over.

He finds himself uncapable of thinking straight, the torments he's once again responsible for becoming a situation he messed up beyond repair.

While cautiously scrutinising her sadden features, the Mastermind can't seem to come up with the smallest piece of idea to fix it up, to ease the pain he caused in the first place.

Eventually figuring out that a comforting touch would most likely send her into a frenzy, he simply sits there, speechless and helpless.

Frustration invades his mind the second he notices a change of attitude within her soul, a raging frown and contracted jaw letting him know that she's about to crack and that, whether he's agreed or not, he'd have to be the one looking after her while she collapses.

Rollins avoids meeting her gaze again as she's standing up, motionless but nonetheless madden by the double betrayal she just suffered, her clenched fist annoucing that the volcano will soon explode.

The second he shuts his eyes down a breaking lamp's noise resonates inside of the room, closely followed by exasperated groans.

When he opens them back, he almost receives the door Sasha shut to his face, shouting at him she wants him to leave immediately.

"That's not the right answer." Rollins retords, battling to keep his cool while he's grabbing her shoulders and push them against the nearest wall.

If he has to hurt her first in order to save her from herself, he wouldn't hesitate one second.

Not out of the kindness of his newly found heart, not because he suddenly cares about her but because of his own benefit.

He clearly identified her as the leader of the stable and, if she's breaking down entirely, how could he use any of her acolytes to his advantage ?

"I'm not letting you down, Sasha. I may be a jerk, an egocentric idiot but I'm not a monster. I'm not heartless." Seth slowly leans towards her, whispering as if getting rid of a shameful dirty secret.

Although he pronounces her name he's still unable to look down in her eyes, as his words weren't atually addressed to her.

She struggles to get him out of the way, slamming her tiny fists on his chest, and forces him to ultimately pull both her wrists toward him, all in hope she'd listen.

"You need me. And-." He marks a slight pause, breathing out heavily to his left, the upcoming sentence seemingfully hard for him to even envision himself spitting out.

"And I need you too, alright." Rollins reluctantly lets go of the last part of his speech, doing the same of Sasha's previously trapped fragile wrists.

She seems calm but utterly confused, surely concluding that her tired brain is making the whole scene up, preventing her from falling any lower in her own torments.

Seth himself can't quite process the reasons why he'd suddenly admit all of the things he's been holding locked up deep within his entity all these years.

At first, he attempted to help her reach her true potential, immediately concluding that she had the kind of spark you only encounter once in a lifetime.

Then, he despised her with every ounce of his devasted heart because while he was on his rise to glory, he noticed she was slowly becoming a valid threat.

Therefore he let go of his major weaknesses, the sole people he ever cared about because he thought that, eventually, they would choose her over him.

Turns out this is exactly how things unfolded : Graves siding with her in a heartbeat whilst they were supposed to be best friends back then and Leighla not even returning his calls after the whole scandal exploded.

At one point along the way, Banks and Rollins simply became the other's reflection, staring right back at them in the mirror.

He ignited the flames of change inside her kind heart whilst she kept running after him, closely approaching of his own former spotlight as she's confidently marching in his footsteps.

"Remember, we're the bad guys here." He collectedly recalls her, the faces of their victims haunting both each night they'd attempt to find comfort inside of an alternative and imaginary world only sleep could offer them.

"Don't act like it's the other way around." Seth ultimately voices out while on his way back to his own hotel room, flawlessly fulfilling his main purpose : keeping the stable's head alive.

But maybe the two of them truly are each other's key to success.

Perhaps they will either reach glory together or burn down together.
