{ Robb }

✧✦✧

𝕿he cold seemed to seep through the walls of Riverrun and embed into Robb's bones as he tossed and turned in bed. Thoughts were running wild in his head; different strategic plans, his brothers in Winterfell, what to do with the army, where they should travel next, wha-

A body pressed into his side, cold feet touching his legs as he glared down at his wife, who was fast asleep. Eliza's dark hair had come loose from it's plait overnight, spread across her face and the pillow. Robb reached up, removing her hair from her face swiftly as he watched her, admiring her nose, the shape of her lips and how her lashes fluttered against her skin. He would put all his scheming aside to admire his wife.

"You are staring." Robb pulled his hand back quickly as one of Eliza's eyes opened to watch him.

"I did not know you were awake."

"It tickled."

"What did?" Robb grew confused, fighting down the red flush in his cheeks.

"You playing with my hair." She yawned, brushing her dark hair back before stretching. Grey Wind did too from the floor, before clambering onto the bed and slotting down beside Eliza. "Good morning."

"Is that to me or the wolf?" Robb looked back over at his wife, who shook her head and scratched behind Grey Wind's ear. "Did you have time to think over your plan?"

"I did."

"And?"

"I need to adapt some other parts of it, but it is coming together." Eliza hummed, before sitting upright and pushing her hair back. "We can still lure the Mountain north."

"How? He has most likely returned to King's Landing, tail between his legs and back to licking his wounds at Tywin Lannister's side." Robb watched as Eliza climbed out of bed, tying her hair swiftly as she paced. "We cannot draw him out."

"But he will be useless in King's Landing. There's nothing for him to do." Eliza spun, eyebrows furrowed in, what Robb had come to know, her concentration face. "The Mountain is Tywin Lannister's strongest fighter and most mad commander. We can assume, that due to them starting to lose this war, Tywin Lannister would want him on the front lines and if not, then they must have a plan in place to make us to take heavy casualties or prevent us from advancing forward, a trap of sorts."

"Aye, we can assume that."

"So, if the Mountain stays in King's Landing, there is a trap in place to harm our army. If he returns, there is no trap." Eliza continued to speak, her hands creating gestures as Robb watched her softly. "If there is a trap, then we are aware and we can have contingency plans in place, not all of our armies in the same place, you and I split up to ensure the longevity of the crown, more loyal guards closer to us, decoy plans and such. If he returns, then we can assume that we cannot use any of our previous plans as he will understand them, but we have yet to use cavalry and they have never seen that before. We could do a few attacks on their camp, small amounts of soldiers to destroy food and steal horses, to infuriate them more than anything."

"And then draw them into a battle, lure them away like when we captured Jamie Lannister, and use the cavalry to run them down." Robb nodded his head, catching onto her plan swiftly as Eliza turned, chewing on her lip.

"It is not the best plan, a little rushed if I am being honest. I need to put more thought into what to do if the Mountain does not return to the field of battle and we are left with another commander." She grew softer as she spoke, lowering her voice ever so slightly on each word. Robb was quick to shake his head, grinning at her.

"It is a good plan, Eliza. We can present it to the lords, find their opinions." She nodded, before seeming to remember something else.

"The two boys."

"The squires?"

"Yes. I want them alive and with us." Robb's eyebrows furrowed at Eliza's words. "They have the most information on Casterly Rock and all of that. If we were to wish to take it, insider information would be beneficial."

"You wish to torture the two young boys?"

"No." Eliza shot her husband a horrified look. "No, no, gods above no. I merely wish for them to not be in captivity and to spend time around us, to trust us and then they can tell us of their own free will."

"I was joking." Robb climbed out of bed, approaching his wife carefully as she blushed and batted at his chest. "I was merely teasing. I know that you would never do that."

"That was not funny."

"A little."

"No." Eliza shook her head as Robb pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. He could feel her skin flush beneath his lips. "I-I need to go."

{ Eliza }

"Forgive me, Your Grace." Eliza paused, twisting to look up at whoever had disturbed her. It was one of the guards from Faymont.

"Of course."

"His Grace has sent the two Lannister boys to speak with you. He informed me that you would understand why."

"Yes, thank you." Eliza stood, following the guard away from her desk as he opened the door. Two more guards stood at the door, hands on the shoulders of the small blond boys. "Can you find me a nurse as well?"

"Of course, Your Grace." One guard disappeared, the others escorting the boys into the room Eliza had commandeered for her studying.

"It is nice to meet you, I wish under better circumstances." Eliza shot them a smile. "I assume you know who I am."

"Yes, Your Grace."

"And you understand why you two are here?"

"We are prisoners." The older one spoke quietly. "Because of who our father is."

"Yes." Eliza nodded, watching the pair. They were both so small, so young and only a bit older than her brothers. It was hard to believe that they were sent into battle, or that they were now prisoners of war.

"Is it true what they say about the king?" The younger one piped up as the older tried to shut him up.

"What?"

"That he can turn into a wolf?"

"Yes." Eliza nodded, grinning at the thought.

"And that he eats human flesh?"

"Only if he's very hungry." Eliza chuckled. "You are Martyn?"

"How did you know?" The boy's eyes went wide as Eliza allowed herself to smile fully. It had been a guess as to which was which, but she was glad she got it right. "Do you know my brother's name too?"

"Yes. He's Willem and you're both Lannisters." Eliza smiled, chuckling softly at them before a knock sounded on the door.

"Your Grace. A nurse."

"Thank you. We'll get that cut on your arm treated." Eliza looked up as the door opened, her facial expression dropping. Was there no other nurse that could attend to the children? It had to be the one nurse that Eliza did not like nor wish to see.

"Your Grace." Talisa bowed her head, before moving onto the boys as Eliza turned back to her work, making quick work of the final elements of her plan before the council meeting later that evening. Or, as much of a council meeting as they could have with only a few of their advisors present.

The room fell silent as Eliza looked through her work, before Talisa coughed.

"I have finished, Your Grace."

"Thank you." Talisa excused herself, as Eliza tried not to throw curses at her back in front of the children. "Remind me, boys, what is your father's name again?"

"Are you writing to him to tell him you have us?" Willem's eyes were wide and worried.

"Yes. So he does not think you are dead." That would at least mean someone would continue to press for an attack on them where the Northern armies would have the advantage.

"Kevan Lannister." Willem explained. "Our older brother is Lancel."

"He was squire to Robert Baratheon, was he not?" Eliza looked between them.

"Yes, father was very proud." Martyn smiled, admiring his now patched up arm. "They always said that he, Jamie Lannister and the king looked very alike. Do you think we look like the king?"

"I do not know. I have not seen Joffrey Baratheon before." Eliza smiled, placing some food and water down in front of the boys. "What does he look like?"

"He's tall, very tall, and blond, like us." Martyn grinned as he and Willem scoffed their food down. "He has eyes like ours."

"No, like Jamie Lannister. They look very similar. Everyone always thought they should have been brothers." Willem and Martyn both hummed, the comment sticking in Eliza's mind as she thought it over.

She had spoken with Jamie Lannister when he had been their prisoner. When it had been brought to life the rumour of Joffrey Baratheon and the other heirs to the throne being born of a relationship between Jamie and Cersei, he had this look in his eye that had been particularly worrisome. It was the look of someone who had been caught.

Eliza knew how to read eyes. She had to, having been taught when she was young to do so in horses, so that she could anticipate how they would react. Jamie Lannister's eyes had done the same, and it had betrayed him, and now, with the news of the similarity between Jamie Lannister and the king in the south, Eliza was starting to connect up the truths.

A letter would have to be sent.

Hiya,

So, Eliza's done some thinking and strategising. There's been more domestic coupley stuff between Robb and Liz, she still hates Talisa, and she's come to the conclusion about Jamie and Joffrey, as well as planning so it's been eventful?

Let me know what you think,

Love Li xx
