𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍 | Caught

{ Eliza }

"𝕭rother, I come bearing food." Eliza joked quietly, wandering over to join her brother's side as Anceron hovered in the shadows, watching over the cage that Ser Alton Lannister and Jaime Lannister were in. Torrhen Karstark stood a little further away, but Eliza still had an awful feeling in her stomach.

"You do not look well, Liz." Anceron began to chew on the bread, staring at the smaller woman. "What's the matter?"

"Why do you presume something is the matter?"

"You have that furrow between your eyes. That only appears whenever you are upset over something." Eliza cursed the gods for making her brother so perceptive, huffing quietly to herself as she muttered. "I did not hear that."

"I do not like Talisa."

"Who?"

"The nurse. She's the nurse who Robb keeps speaking with." Eliza sighed. "I do not like it, nor do I like her. She always seems to appear whenever she is least wanted."

"You are jealous."

"I am not jealous."

"Liz, you are jealous." Anceron rolled his eyes at his younger sister's annoyed grumbling. "You are able to admit that you like Robb? You have been married to him for a year or so now. It is only natural that you gain feelings for the man, and gods know it took long enough."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about." Out of all of her siblings, Anceron was the only one who managed to get on her nerves consistently. She could handle her other three brothers, but Anceron was a whole different case. "You can admit to liking him."

"I do not like him, nor does he like me. He likes that nurse." Eliza huffed. "He scorns me at every turn whenever she is here."

"Have you told him this?"

"Yes."

"Eliza." Anceron warned.

"In a sense, yes." Eliza huffed. "I told him that I did not like her because my intuition said so."

Anceron merely sighed at his sister's ways, shaking his head gently as she hummed and blew warm air onto her hands, that were starting to grow cold in the night's breeze. The shifting of chains had both siblings looking up.

The Bare siblings eyes narrowed. Eliza was used to hearing the sound of metal clinking, she'd worked with horses for years and knew what it sounded like. So, the occasional clink of metal just meant that the prisoners were moving, but this was different. This was deliberate, and it sounded painful.

Anceron threw the soup down, rushing towards the cage as Eliza followed behind. The man was quick to break the lock on the cage, diving forward and grabbing onto Jaime Lannister, slamming him into the ground.

"Eliza!" Anceron warned, but Eliza paid them little heed, flipping Ser Alton over and reaching to check for a pulse. She had been taught how to do this, Perseus had wished for her to learn if she was ever riding with her younger siblings and one of them became too injured to transport back to Faymont. Anceron growled, slamming Jaime Lannister further into the muddy ground as the Kingslayer tried to struggle out of his grip. "Guards! We need help!"

"Guards!" Eliza called, whistling as loudly as she could for Greywind. Jaime broke free, turning towards her with wild eyes. Eliza caught Anceron's eyes, remembering one thing from working with horses.

Don't show fear.

The Bare woman squared her shoulders, taking a deep breath as the Lannister lunged towards her, before Anceron caught him once more, yanking him back and punching him as hard as he could until the Kingslayer stopped moving. Only then, did Anceron sit back, covered in mud, knuckles bleeding, and spat to the side.

"Fucking useless. Where's Torrhen? Where are the fucking guards?" Anceron's voice rose to a crescendo, standing up and twisting as Eliza sat back onto her feet, clutching her chest as she took a deep, heaving breath. "Liz, Liz, are you alright?"

"I'm alright."

"Are you sure?" Anceron wiped his hands of mud, though the blood from his knuckles wouldn't stop appearing. His first priority was always his sister, and he was quick to make sure that she was unharmed. "You oaf. I warned you not to."

"There were two prisoners. They needed two guards." Eliza reasoned, patting his hand as she nodded at Ser Alton. "He's still alive."

"Well, that was shit." Jaime Lannister groaned, and Anceron turned to give the prone form another kick, before the guards finally started to appear, pulling on their armour. "What was this? The Queen is here, in a prisoners cage, helping to save one of their lives, and you were sitting around!"

The guards all began to stammer, helping Eliza to her feet, bowing and apologising profusely as Greywind came running over, panting and whining as he seemed to check Eliza over quickly.

"Bind him. Tighter this time, double the guards. Move Ser Alton to the maesters' tent." Eliza commanded, standing up and trying to regain her calm once more as Rickard Karstark began to apologise. "Lord Karstark, I wish to sleep and I am sure my husband is worried. We shall speak on this later."

"Your Grace, I-"

"Later." Eliza stated, holding her ground as the crowd began to part for her.

{ Robb }

Robb was furious.

"It was nothing." Eliza was downplaying it all, but Robb was not impressed in the slightest. He looked up, staring at his wife, who was calmly pulling mud from her hair. "I am alright."

"Where were the guards?"

"I do not know." Robb scoffed at that.

"Why were you even there?"

"I had a bad feeling." Eliza muttered, growing quieter as Robb's anger waned. He did not wish for her to think that he was upset with her, he was upset with everyone else who had allowed for her to be placed into this position. "I'd asked Anceron to keep watch, and I went to give him food, and then it happened. He did not want me to help, but one of us needed to make sure that Ser Alton was alive, and if he was alive, make sure that he could hurt the other. I would not leave my brother alone."

"Eliza..."

"And I was protected, I had my dagger on me, and Anceron is more than capable of beating someone in hand to hand combat whilst the other is in chains." Eliza finished rambling, turning to look at him. "Do not punish the guards."

Robb sighed, standing up as he approached Eliza. Greywind growled softly at her feet, watching the young king with narrowed eyes as Robb separated the last bits of her dark hair, pulling the mud from it gently. Eliza paused, her eyes going wide as she stared up at him.

"They almost allowed you to come to harm."

"I swear to you, I am fine." Eliza promised, as Robb sighed and shook his head.

"That's not the point, Eliza." Robb squeezed her shoulder. "Get some rest. I'm going to check everything once more, and then I'll be back."

Eliza looked like she wanted to protest, but she nodded and sighed. Robb couldn't help himself, leaning down to press a kiss to her head, as he called Greywind back to his side and left the tent. The wolf was reluctant to stray too far from Eliza, but Robb needed him.

Striding through the camp, Robb ignored all calls of 'Your Grace' and the like, striding towards Jaime Lannister's cage. The man was sitting up now, awake, with a clear black eye and split lip, though he grinned as Robb appeared.

"The Young Wolf. You know, your wife visited me earlier. Perhaps, you should learn to keep a better eye on her." Robb waved the guards away, stepping into the cage. "You're a brave man. Sending your guards away, what are you trying to prove?"

"You do not fool me, Kingslayer." Robb stated, calming his large wolf, as he towered over the man. "You are just as scared as the rest of them were."

Jaime Lannister's eyes narrowed.

"I am not scared of you, boy." Robb huffed, before his face turned cold.

"You attempted to harm my wife." Robb stated, grinning. "That shall not stand with me."

"Wha-" Robb punched Jaime before the man could speak again, not wanting to hear any of the bullshit that would come spewing from the Lannisters mouth, should he be allowed to continue. Jaime's head snapped to the side, a groan being drawn from his lips, as Robb brushed his cloak off, and flexed his hands once more. "You would beat a chained man."

"You would attempt to attack a woman." Robb countered, whistling for his wolf. Greywind growled, snarling and snapping as Robb watched the Kingslayer. "I should have killed you for attempting to lay a hand on her, but she is more forgiving that I am."

He shook his head, before retreating away, motioning for his guards to continue to watch the bleeding knight. Robb swept back through the tents, finding his own. Eliza was already in the bed, her back to the door and Robb watched her quietly for a moment, smiling as Greywind hurried to curl into her side.

"What did you have to do?" Eliza questioned, as Robb shook his head. "Robb?"

"Do not worry about it. I had to talk to the guards, remind them of keeping him secure and under watch." Robb smiled softly, before stretching and yawning. "It is all under control."

Hiya,

Your Honour, do I love them? Yes, yes I do. They're sweethearts and are both really cute with each other. I also love Anceron and Eliza, who have such a good sibling relationship tbh. Also, Anceron is just great.

Let me know what you think,

Love Li xx
