(Wattpad doesn't allow hotlinking in stories directly.)

Upfront, let me quickly give credit to the person who made my awesome cover, Clayscence over on "Artists and Clients" (https://artistsnclients.com/), check out their DA https://www.deviantart.com/clayscence (Link in comment.)

Real quick, a number of my characters are children and I don't watch a ton of live-action children's shows, just cartoons. Thus I know basically nothing about live-action child actors. So ya know what? I'm going to compare my characters to anime and cartoon characters!

(Very quickly, if you're reading this for a reading club I'm in, this character bio is a glorified preview, like the front panel of a book. It is not a chapter. Read it if you like, but please do not count it as a chapter.)

(***)

Jessica:

If I were to try to find characters like her she's kind of a combo of:

Mikoto from A Certain Scientific Railgun (not really a show for kids, BTW.)

and Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony

Jessica is likely the most naturally gifted pharaoh to ever live, essentially meaning she was born a virtual electro-kinetic goddess, able to fire massive amounts of electricity at her enemies, and having rudimentary control over a short distance (actually how good her control is something that's a mystery). Physically she appears to be seven, but her race ages very slowly, meaning she's really around one hundred forty years old.

Jessica's power, however, isn't really what draws people to her normally, it's just how she was born. What really makes folks take notice is her seemly loose relationship with reality. Jessica cracks jokes all the time, however, they aren't knock-knock jokes. She'll straight-faced insist that a bus stop is a place for a giant magical flying moth to land that carries children to school, and then even when she's told she's wrong, she'll make you question reality by asking "but if you attached wings to it, would it look like a moth?"

(Seriously, visualize that).

Kyle:

Linkara from Atop the Fourth Wall:

No, not like the writer Lewis himself, but the character he plays. Hard-nosed at times, but really a person who loves fun. Prides himself on his intelligence, which is really just passable, better than some, less than others. He dabbles in invention, but over time, he starts to care more about people than things. Over the course of this series, Kyle will be the main cast member with the most variety in his weapons and equipment and the person having to learn the most about his powers and himself. (He's only one hundred after all, for his race, that's pretty young.) I guess in Lewis' series, Linkara himself is the main hero, wherein this story, Kyle is really just along for the ride, Jessica calling most of the shots. We see the world mostly from his POV and a few other characters.

Allen Reign:

Grandpa Max from Ben 10

Allen is not Kyle or Jessica's formal father, in fact, they're not even the same species. Kyle and Jessie's race left earth thousands of years ago where werewolves only started existing a few hundred years ago... but that's another story.

Allen takes a parental role anyway, despite all outward appearances seeming that the two "kids" have far more power physically than he does. His power doesn't come from his fists but from wisdom and understanding the world far better than our two heroes. Yes, he's only in his thirties, however, that means he's been on earth 30 years. Kyle and Jess have lived all their lives on Triad, a different planet. Also, being physically children and very young for their kind, they are used to being treated like children anyway. Allen, like Max, does have connections that will become more and more important as time goes on, but not immediately.

Xao:

Zatana from Justice League

A character with confidence in nigh mystical power with a... kind of scientific explanation for its existence- yeah, like in Marvel, face it, it's just magic. His confidence is maybe a little more than he deserves at times, but he's decent in a fight. Of course, I doubt knowing him being like this character will reveal the ultimate choice that defines him as a"trickster god", a choice that most characters like him don't make with regard to their powers.

Tyrin:

Wilson Fisk from 1990s Spiderman

Ya know, in a series with villains that often have complex backstories, motives, and superpowers, the idea that a guy who's really just in it for the money with D-level abilities at best is the most dangerous... I'm not the first to do it. Yep, Tyrin is a crime boss in the human trafficking business, evil as they come. However, his interest really is just amassing a fortune and perhaps the thrill of evading the law. He's of the same race as the kids as an adult, so goes without saying he's VERY smart and has weapons of his own making. Still, he's really not special in what he can do. He's not afraid to get his hand dirty, but sticks to the background a lot, relying on his "employees" to do things while he runs a huge criminal organization.

Tyrin doesn't really care about the feelings of others, just what he can get from them. However, to call him insane... maybe he's a mild sociopath but that's about it. He's what a life of the wrong choices can make a person if they're not caught.

There are other characters, but too many spoilers would come up if I explained them so ya know...
