Chapter 7

Narrator's POV
"A new Glitter Force Warrior?" Rachel asked.
The three Glitter girls (plus the pixies) were eating a meal Rachel brought under the shade of a tree.
"Yeah, she appeared to have purified the Distain!" Clara exclaimed.
"Luckily, she came at the right time to help us. So far, Maya's the only one who can purify Distains," Mackenzie added.
"Wait a minute..." Rory mumbled through a mouthful of bread.
"What is it, Rory?" Rachel asked.
"Remember when you battled Ira's Distain back then?"
The first image that popped into her head was Ira's red, flustered face. Blushing embarrassedly, she pushed the thought aside and tried to find it what Rory was talking about.
"What about that battle, Rory?"
"How did we defeat that Distain in the first place...?"
"Hmm..."
Rachel searched deeper into her mind. "I used my Diamond Shower... then it got purified...! But, that's impossible!"
"So you purified a Distain?!" Mackenzie blurted out.
"But... Isn't Glitter Heart the only one who can do that?" Clara pondered outloud.
"It could mean that your powers have evolved," Davi guessed. "Due to how long you let your powers rest, they awakened again fully energized and more effective than before. Another cause can be that you, being much older, can store much more energy."
"That's strange... but true," Clara said, putting a finger to her chin. "Though we almost forgot how to fight, we were able to hold on pretty well."
"Gosh, we were also able to chat during our battle!" Mackenzie laughed.
"Sorry if this sounds rude, but what's up with you lately?" Lance looked up at Mackenzie with a confused (and slightly food-stained) face.
"Huh?" Mackenzie tilted her head.
"Remember how you were like before? 'I can handle things on my own, I don't need anyone'?"
"Huh? Did I say that...?" Mackenzie asked, flustered. Then, after talking a moment to recall, she said, "Yeah, I think I said something like that."
"It's a good thing you've softened up a lot these past years," Clara complimented, "but we still need to find out who that other Glitter Force Warrior is."
"Is it Maya?" Rory guessed densely.
"No, she's much younger," Mackenzie frowned. "And I feel like... I'm connected to her. Like she's my sister or something..."
"If only I had seen her..." Rachel sighed, then looked at the other girls. "Our only bet is to wait for another Distain to come out. Maybe she'll appear again and we can convince her to stay!"
"Let's hope another Distain comes soon..." Mackenzie impatiently hoped. The others looked at her a while, then continued to eat.
During a while of silence, everyone could hear the content singing of the birds, as well as the soft breeze blowing around them. The park they were at seemed much more quiet than usual, despite all of the kids on the playground, teens playing frisbee, and grownups chatting.
"Ya know... at this point, Maya would've suggested going on a shopping spree while waiting for the next Distain," Mackenzie commented, breaking the silence.
"I miss Maya... and Kippie too. It's like she isn't connected to us anymore," Lance asked sadly.
With this, everyone sighed gloomily.

Ira's POV
"Well?! Where's my dark energy?!?!?!" an annoying squeal from Bel broke out in our dark house-room.
"We hardly got any, face it!" I growled after having teleported back from a miserable defeat. Actually, I had been defeated many hours ago. I just stayed at the bay to avoid the inevitable. What's the inevitable? You'll see.
Bel turned slowly to me with wide, soulless eyes. "So you don't have any?" he mumbled dangerously.
Marmo, who watched Bel like a coward, got the rotten idea of lying and extracted some dark energy from herself. She directed it onto her hand as a void-like flame and showed it to Bel innocently. "I got some dark energy for you, little Bel!~"
Aggressively, Bel bounced up and... absorbed the flame...?
"Good job, Marmo! As you for, Ira..." Bel looked at me again with that you're-a-goner look. Then, without warning, he pounced on me and began pulling at my bat wings. It's like someone tugging at your ear, but worse. There are bones in those wings, ya little brat!
As I doubled over in pain and begged for mercy, Marmo was smirking at me the whole time. I could already tell what she wanted to tell me. *mimicks Marmo's voice* Come on, Ira. It's the best way to avoid punishment... and the best way to remove some years!

As Bel played with his toys, I cringed at the corner as Marmo laughed down at me. I just had a sloppy kid mess my hair up, and just imagine how miserable I was! I just wanted to be alone...
"Bel told me to tell you this: your only path of redemption is to make more Distains and get more dark energy," Marmo taunted me.
"It's not like I want redemption from Bel!" I snapped. "But if it'll allow me to get away from here and make him more mature like me, then fine."
As I got up, Marmo guffawed and hurled, "You are far less mature than him!"
"Alright then, I'll pull at YOUR hair and see how you like it!!" I snarled, clenching my fists.
"Haha, you don't scare me."
"Whatever!" I warped away.
The only reason I spared her that time was because I wanted to prove how mature I was.

(Sorry, I know it's been a year! I've gotten into other fandoms like Beyblade and Avatar TLA and LOK ;v; I might try to get back into Glitter Force tho. This is a warm-up chapter for me since I haven't written stories in a while, so not much happened. sry ^^')
