Ira's POV
"Zip it, Bel!" I hollered over the noise.
The kiddo continued to wail loudly and began kicking his feet. Marmo held him farther away from herself to avoid getting hit.
"When did he become this sensitive?" Marmo groaned.
"GIMME DARK ENERGY!!!" Bel cried.
Since Bel attempted to use the dark energy of King Mercenare to his advantage and failed, he had turned into a pathetic mouse. But earlier, Marmo and I agreed to transfer a little of our dark energy to him so that he could take a more stable (and less pitiful) form. So we did, and... it didn't turn out very pretty.
"Just be quiet already, pipsqueak!!!" I yelled.
Bel only screeched louder.
"NOT UNTIL YOU GET ME DARK ENERGY!!!"
Marmo sighed. "Fine, we'll get you just a little bit."
"What do you mean by that? Transfer our dark energy to him again?!" I glared at her.
"No, you can go down there and get some from the townsfolk."
"Why not you?!"
"I gotta make sure he doesn't get into trouble," she said, looking at baby Bel.
"Fine, Grandma."
"Don't call me that!" she hissed as I teleported away.

I appeared above Sea Shell Bay.
For a minute, I remained up there, looking at the city. It changed quite a bit since the last time I attacked it.
I snapped out of it and scanned the area for any selfish hearts. There was one dude who forgot his morning coffee. Not enough. There was a little girl skipping around cheerfully. Kinda reminds me of that one girl, Glitter Heart. Welp, she's not even feeling selfish at all. Then, I spotted a grumpy teen storming across the sidewalk.
"I can't believe him! After all I've done for him, he doesn't even notice!" I heard her rage. I looked into her heart, which had a splotch of black, and smirked.
Eventually, she sighed and murmured to herself, "Nah, maybe it's my fault he likes someone else."
"No, not at all," I said as I teleported behind her.
"W-Who are you?!" she yelped and backed away.
I tried not to laugh. I missed the old days of spooking ordinary folk.
"I agree with you. That guy was a fool to ignore someone as kind as you. So I'll grant your wish to destroy romance altogether!"
