Two hours later he was sitting on the corner most booth of a shady Bar . Something flickered in front of him which made him look up . An unnaturally beautiful girl sat in front of her but he looked at her in confusion.

Something is wrong . I can't feel the blood rushing through her veins . She is not human ? He thought

" Hello-my-name-is-cortana " She spoke in a robotic tone . Alex stared at her intently trying to find a emotion that will connect her to humanity
He was that desperate or should I say hungry but all he found was emptiness in her glassy oddly perfect eyes.

He finally spoke braking her stare " Alex Darkwood ".

"Nice-to-meet-you-Alex-Darkwood " She said in a monotonous tone .

Is she a human? Doesn't look like but I have to be sure .

" You look beautiful tonight " He said making his voice heavy .

" Thank you" She said bowing her head down .

May be she is hiding her blush .I am loosing my half vampire powers maybe that's why I am not able to feel her blood flow. He blinked thoughtfully .

" Are-you-okay?" She asked him . He answered promptly , desperation growing in his voice " I need to pick up my friend's parcel from a shop down the lane. Can we go pick it up first? The place is going to close soon. "
"I-do-not-understand-" She said but was cut off by Alex "please ..please...it won't take more than ten minutes ."

She looked down at the table for a few seconds before saying "Yes-let-us-go."

With that both of them started to move towards the exist door. They had taken few steps away from the bar on a sidewalk when suddenly Alex takes a sharp turn to right pushing Cortana into a blind road but with more than usual effort considering he was only half a vampire , other half being human . He was less powerful but powerful enough.

"I-do-not-understand" She states in a weirdly calm tone . Alex looks straight in her eyes and whispered "You will not scream . You will not feel any pain. " But he was surprised when replied calmly " I-do-not-understand" . His hypnotic voice had no affect on her . He started panicking now he has to do it now and he has to do it fast . I am loosing my powers faster than I calculated , I might die soon . I NEED BLOOD.

He moved cortana's face to other side with a slight more pressure than usual and dug his sharp vampire teeth on his neck where carotid artery was supposed to be . The blood came gushing through her artery like a fountain which he drank greedily . But he realized after a while that blood tasted different than human blood . Sure it had the same color but it was more metallic in taste .

Within a few seconds he started feeling dizzy . What was happening to me . He thought moving back a little , his vision was blurring now but he could make out the smiling face of cortana . Why was she smiling . He thought of running away but his legs felt so heavy or he was just so weak . The world was spinning in front of him and suddenly the whole road was filled with an illuminating light that forced Alex's to shut his eyes .

He felt good after closing his eyes , everything was peacefully silent now . May be I am dead . He tried opening his eyes but his eyelids felt so heavy , he was breathing with a lot of effort . He tried moving but instead felt a cold metal restricting his movement . He tried again and this time he was able to open his eyes slightly . It took him a minute to realize where he was . He was horrified by the scenario in front of him which he was very familiar with.

He was in an illegal experimental laboratory which belonged to her ex-girlfriend Clara who was now famously called Dr.crackhead . She started doing various experiments on supernatural beings a while ago trying to use their powers for human and robotic world. Yes our world had accepted the existence of vampires and werewolves like aliens and time travel . But using them for experiments was illegal like us sucking human blood from a beating heart .So humans were changed into half monsters like Alex and half humans because of extincting population of pure breed monsters .

He barely escaped through her clutches the last time when she tried taking her revenge because of a bad break up with Alex changing him into a half vampire and half human on this very day , 14th February - The Valentines day , but this time there seemed to be no exit .

Dr. Crackhead moved her eyes from the virtual screen to moving body of Alex but she smiled instead . The very smile that made Alex's heart skip a beat was now doing the same but the emotions conveyed were different . Last time it was love but this time it is fear. She spoke in a demanding tone , not moving his eyes from Alex's helpless structure

" Cortana start the experiment . Our subject is awake." She added while grinning devilishly " Honey! remember you said love hurts but this time it will hurt like a BITCH "

Alex felt a sharp stinging pain in his right shoulder " AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......................" he screamed .

So , Just to clear the confusion Alex is a half human half vampire guy . Basically he is an experiment gone wrong . He was perfectly normal before breaking up with Clara but she turned him into a half vampire as part of break up revenge and also because she is a crazy scientist . Cortana is a human android designed by Clara to help trap humans and half humans for her illegal , horrifying experiments. I hope half human does comes under the terms and conditions of Hybrid romance and for the romance part . Love can go both ways .
