"jaemin ?!" someone shouted from behind.

i recognise that voice...don't tell me...

i turned around to face her and i knew it. it was of course jae eun. when i turned back, jaemin was gone. i knew she would ask me things about him so i covered for him. jae eun was friends with me and jaemin for a long time. one day, i found out that she used me to get closer to jaemin because she liked him. the truth hurts, but i guess it was for the best.

jae eun stopped dead in her tracks and she was utterly shocked. she approached me and looked confused.

"d-did you see that ?! i saw jaemin ! where did he go ?!" jae eun shouted in my face.

"yah ! firstly, don't shout in my face ! secondly, i don't know what you are talking about ! jaemin hasn't returned for 2 years ! if he comes back, i'll tell him what you did and the truth-"

"do not say anything about what you found out to him ! he won't like me back, you idiot ! you can't even think, pathetic," jae eun said, with no sympathy in her voice.

i rolled my eyes just seeing her flip her hair in my face. she still looks like the stunning jae eun since elementary school, pretty and beautiful. i was quite jealous of her back then, and maybe even now.

"whatever. i still score higher marks than you. you can't even think, pathetic," i said, doing the same actions as her.

jae eun was pissed and i loved to do that to her, even now in high school. without a single word, i left her there and walked in the distance as i was smiling to myself. as i got home, i took a quick shower, put on my clothes and started doing my homework. i tried thinking hard and focusing on my work, but something was blocking my concentration. i heaved a sigh and stopped doing my homework for awhile. i laid on my bed, all i could think of why jaemin was one of the glitchers.

how did jaemin go to that place ? why was he taken ? is he special ? i hope he is doing okay. rest well jaemin-ah.

as i closed my eyes, i was falling asleep until i heard a deafening sound. i opened my eyes and covered my ears. when i looked outside the balcony, there was a bright light shining at the side. once, the sound stopped, i quickly went to balcony to see what had happened. as i went out, i saw...jaemin standing there.

"jaemin-ah ? why are you here ?" i asked.

"y/n, i need your help. there's someone trying to find us, he's going to suck me and all the other glitchers into another universe, and i'll never be able to come back,"

my eyes widened. suddenly, six figures were standing behind him. i stepped back a bit, scared from them.

"y/n-ssi, meet my friends,"

they stepped into the light, showing me their faces.

who are they ? why does one of them look familiar ?
