Glitch in the Matrix

What is Glitch in the Matrix?

"Glitch in the matrix stories are firsthand accounts of some small but puzzling occurrence that has no logical explanation.

The name comes from the movie 'The Matrix' where a 'glitch' drew someone's attention to the fact that they were in a simulation."

=====

Glitches are events that can only really make sense if we accept the notion that our current reality is actually a kind of simulation. They often seem analogous to the effects of errors in computer programs, or their execution. Some common types include:

1. Objects vanishing and sometimes reappearing. Sometimes they are never seen again. Sometimes they reappear in the same location, which has been repeatedly searched. Sometimes they reappear in broad daylight, in a position where they could have been easily seen. Sometimes they reappear in physically impossible locations, such as a locked room or container.

2. People being seen by different witnesses at different locations at the same time, or not being seen in places where they should be. People vanishing, often for considerable times, often with multiple searches, then reappearing and claiming that they have never left the spot. People seeing themselves.

3. Changes in everyday familiar objects — the colour of the front door, the length of a piece of cloth, the presence of mature trees in a place where trees have never existed.
Time slips and time freezes, where people interact with different time periods, or where they observe all movement and noises cease over a relatively short or larger area.

Obviously some reports may be the result of memory errors or the effects of drugs or carbon monoxide poisoning. But when multiple witnesses confirm the facts of the experience, these theories may not be sufficient. Every case has to be examined on its merits.
