15 - Week

- a week later -

Seto and Sky trained us non stop. Day to night everyday the only breaks we had were to eat or if we got injured and if you ever got injured, whoever caused the injury would make sure you never heard the end of it. I know this from experience, it is not pleasant. I let my guard down on accident when Mitch and Jerome were sparing, Jerome thew his axe and even though I wasn't his target it still left a nasty bruise and my arm in a sling for half a week. I trained more specifically with Sky who would often train me only with Seto to monitor my powers. Of course the whole team knew about my powers but Sky prefer them far away in case something goes wrong. Enderlox had been eerily quiet lately and I didn't know why but I wasn't complaining. Days came and went and soon if was fall, the team reread the prophecy everyday to try and find out more clues about what was going on. We figured out that Herobrine would be his strongest this upcoming fall so we all figured that then was when he was going to try and break free. We had also slowly been getting closer and closer to the Sky Army Base sense we knew that Herobrine wanted to take back his beloved city, but thats what we were made to do, we were going to protect this city with our lives.

One brisk day it was like the pieces of a puzzle came together inside my head. I was sparing with Sky, powers and all and he had me cornered thanks to Setos' forcefield, we had dull iron swords and Sky was closing in for the kill. I blocked his oncoming attack and used his power against him with my super strength, without realizing it the sword turned to obsidian under my touch, Sky shocked by the strength I gave off and he quickly recovered, coming back with some own power attacks of his own. I jumped up over a rock to throw a sneak attack at his head but he blocked it to my dismay. I growled and turned around plunging for a straight on attack to the chest. Sky was shocked by this straight forward attack and I happily caught him off guard, knocking the sword out of his hand he put his hands up in an X formation over his chest to block the attack, making me stop after I bounced off of him. He laughed "Well Ty, I gotta say I was not expecting a straight on attack, what made you think to do that?" I shrugged slightly. Nobody said a word about the sword, I let it go and it returned to the broken, dull iron sword it originally was. "It was just like this puzzle inside my head came together and told me what to do." Sky nodded slowly and Seto put down the forcefield and walked inside our little arena. "That was impressive Ty." He complimented me, I nodded in response. The crisp air blew through my hair and cleared my mind of all the worry and stress, but I smelled it, the blood and death, something was not right. Unfortunately, Enderlox smelled it too and he wanted to join the death. I squeezed my eyes shut focusing all my magic inside to stay pure and not turn the vicious blood red or I'd have no control. I pulled at the hairs on my head, sitting up straight with power I didn't want running through my veins. Something had happened, all those night Enderlox was quiet, he had been doing his own training. He was much stronger than I ever remember. Sky thankfully saw my distress and noticed the change in the atmosphere and pushed Seto out of the arena, locking my back inside it. I was thankful he got out safe. Knowing he was out safe and I was stuck inside a perimeter I let loose a little bit. "Ty! Focus! I'm here don't make me face him, I rather talk to you, my friend, my partner, my team mate, my brother. I know you can beat him" I trusted Sky, but he didn't know the pain I was going through. I couldn't beat him, not this time. I felt blood trickle down my nose. The all too familiar pain of wing, claws and fangs sprouting. "Ty! You just beat me in a fight. Use that instinct to fight. I know it's hard, but you cant give up, for me, keep fighting." One eye had turned red alone with one side of my headphones. My head snapped in Sky's direction, Seto nowhere to be found. He left to warn the othes. "Ty Winterlace is-" The monster voice started but I grabbed the dull iron sword and with all my might I had left, plunged it into my thigh. "AHHhh" I screamed out, falling back on the soft grass, the world around me swaying as I fought off Enderlox until we both passed out and I heard Sky yelling for me. I had only hoped my efforts were enough and when I woke up I wasn't trapped in a monster.

Much to my dismay, when I woke up I was high in the sky, black as my obsidian sword with speckles of stars near and far. I was still weak but somebody had healed Enderlox back to strength. My leg was patched up and I immediately noticed that it was done by somebody other than Seto or Quentin. I looked below me and I felt like I was going to loose the very little lunch I had left in me. Sky Army City was burning below me and with my enhanced vision I could see Sky being a hero, what he does best and leading the team, oh I would never forgive myself and they would never forgive me for the trouble I've caused.
