FIVE. only if it's with you
OLIVIA LOVED New York, mainly because of the snow. She loved to just look at it fall from the sky and sip on hot chocolate.
But tonight was different. Tonight she had a boyfriend and tonight she would going to Cousins with him because he told her that it was supposed to snow and she really wanted to see the snow on the beach.
She grabbed a random tote bag and stuffed some clothes and other necessities inside before she slipped on her UGGS that she desperately needed to get rid of and quietly made her way outside.
Conrad had once again Uber to her and met her in front of her car.
She threw the keys towards him and the two of them threw their things in Olivia's car.
"Are you cold?" He asked, running his hands up and down her arms.
"No you freak." She smiled, pulling away from his touch, "I'm fine. I swear it can get way colder."
Conrad scoffed and pulled off his grey zip up jacket and threw it towards her.
"Put it on."
Olivia rolled her eyes, but put the jacket on anyway and soon enough, they began their journey to Cousins.
"On a scale of one to ten how much trouble do you think we'll be in when they find out we're gone?" Conrad asked.
"Let's just hope my mom doesn't find out." Olivia chuckled, "But if she does she will one hundred percent believe that you kidnapped me."
"What?" He scoffed, "Please. You jumped at the chance."
"Yeah, because I've never seen a snowy beach and I would like to spend time with you, if you believe that."
Conrad smiled, glancing over at her, "You love me, Lovell. The last time I checked the weather out there was only a thirty percent chance of flurries, but hopefully we'll get lucky."
Olivia smiled, her eyes never leaving Conrad's face, "Did Susannah like the bike you got her for Christmas? The one with the basket?"
"Yeah. Yeah, she loved it." He smiled, "Thanks to you. I was just gonna get her a bathrobe."
Olivia rolled her eyes, "That's such a lame gift. Why do boys suck at giving presents?" She asked with a chuckle.
"Honestly... I don't think she would have cared what I got her." Conrad softly spoke, glancing over, "You have no idea how happy she is that you're my girlfriend."
Olivia smiled as Conrad took her hand with his, gently kissing the back of it.
She was iffy about telling Susannah about her and Conrad because of everything that went down between her and Jeremiah, but he was... or was currently with Belly. She didn't really know because she didn't keep up with Belly and Jeremiah wasn't getting in touch with her.
"Hey, I haven't told anyone yet, but I think I'm gonna switch my major to biology."
"Really?" Olivia asked, "Holy shit."
"Yeah." He smiled, "I want to go premed. And for a while I thought I wanted to go into the research end of it, but no, I think I'd rather be working with actual people."
Olivia softly smiled, squeezing his hand gently, "Because of your mom?"
"She's getting better, you know."
"I'm happy to hear."
The two of them finally made it to Cousins and to the Fisher's summer home. The couple sat in silence for a moment before Conrad looked over at Olivia who only stared at the house in front of her.
"Should we go inside?" He asked.
"I don't think we came all this way just to sit in my car." She smiled, quickly grabbing her bag.
Conrad and Olivia exited the car and Conrad unlocked the door to the house allowing himself and Olivia inside.
"God," Olivia muttered, "It's never been so quite."
"I know." He chuckled, grabbing her hand for a second, "So cold."
The two of them entered the living room and Conrad made his way towards the fire place.
"I don't know about you, but I'm gonna look for some food." She said, throwing her bag on the ground, "Maybe you guys left some Oreos or something edible."
"Yeah, good luck."
Olivia entered the kitchen, rummaging through the cabins before she softly smiled at the can of hot chocolate.
She grabbed the can and poked her head into the living room, "Hot coco." She smiled.
"Amazing." He chuckled.
She made her way back into the kitchen and grabbed two mugs from the cabinet. She examined the one mug in her hands with a sigh.
It was her South Park mug that she had left one year and they kept it there for her to use. The same with Conrad's Simpson's mug.
She placed the two of them on the counter and began to tap as
"I don't know why I can't get this fire started." Conrad shouted from the living room.
"Because you suck." She laughed, "Weren't you in boy scouts or something?"
"Shut up."
Olivia finally finished making the hot chocolate and quickly made her way to her bag to pull out the two candy canes she had stored for them.
She unwrapped them and placed them on their drinks before contently signing and sitting down on the couch.
"Now, this probably isn't going to be the best because you guys don't have any milk, but I tired my best." Olivia smiled, sipping on her drink.
She looked up and saw Conrad staring at her with a smile. She returned the small before gesturing down to his drink.
He finally took a seat next to her and began to sip on his drink, but soon began to cough.
"Wow, that tastes..."
"Like shit?" She asked.
He chuckled, "I was gonna say really dusty, but like shit work too."
"Maybe if you guys had some milk we wouldn't be in this situation right now. I make pretty mean coco when I have milk." She laughed, "You're welcome, by the way."
"Thanks."
Olivia held her cup close to her as Conrad began to run his fingers through hair. He'd always done it. He didn't know why he liked her hair so much. He didn't know why he found himself absentmindedly playing with the ends of her hair, but he always done it.
"Why do you keep staring at me?" She muttered, sipping on her drink, "Is there something on my face?"
"No. I just like looking at you."
Olivia smiled, "I like looking at you. People are so jealous that I'm dating someone in college."
"Really?"
"Yeah, they're always like, "Oh my, God, your boyfriend is just so" and "I wish my boyfriend would—"
Her sentence was cut short as Conrad pressed his lips against hers. It was soft and his lips tasted like shitty hot chocolate and peppermint.
And Conrad always smiled after he kissed her. She did this thing where she would smile but she would press her fingers against her lips to try and prevent it.
And as he began to to lean in for another, Olivia gasped and pointed towards the window.
"Conrad, it's snowing." She cheered, "Let's go to the beach. Come on!"
She didn't wait for an answer as she sat her cup down and grabbed Conrad's hand.
"It's kind of cold."
"So what?" She chuckled, "It's beautiful."
The two of the them threw on their jackets and shoes before Conrad pushed Olivia out off door and watched as she ran towards the sand.
Olivia finally turned and pulled her phone out of her pocket as Conrad made his way towards her.
She ushered him to come forward and he finally made it to her side and Olivia began talking various photos of them before shoving the device in her pocket and tugged on his hand.
They stayed outside for a couple of minute before going back inside and sitting by the fire.
Olivia grabbed the folded blanket that sat on top of the futon and threw it over their shoulders.
"Are you not cold?" He asked.
"No." She spoke softly, "I told you I'm use to it by now." She smiled.
She leaned forward and cupped her hands against his cheeks and he shuddered at her touch but pressed more into it.
"That feels good."
She smiled, "Jesus. You're cheeks are so cold." She chuckled softly, "Probably only feels good because of how cold-hearted you can be."
"For everyone else, maybe." He paused, "Not for you."
Olivia smiled, taking Conrad's hand in hers and guided Conrad to the couch. He sat in confusion as Olivia told him to wait right there and she ran outside to her car.
She furrowed her brows as she began to rummage through her car and she finally found what she was looking for in her glove compartment.
She paused, looking over before she grabbed something else and rushed back inside with Conrad still sitting in the couch.
She panted, running her fingers through her hair, "Can I sit?"
"Um, yeah, of course."
Olivia softly smiled as she stood in between Conrad's legs, pushing them apart some more as she took a seat on his lap.
His arm was quick to snake around her waist and while his other hand rested on her upper thigh.
"My mom sent Susannah a picture of us and she painted it." She smiled.
She held the small 8x10 inch canvas in her hands and looked over at Conrad as he took the canvas in his hands.
He smiled, "Holy shit. I told you she was excited about us."
The small gift was enough for Olivia to express her feelings for Conrad to Susannah, especially because of Jeremiah.
Conrad placed the painting on the coffee table and Olivia pressed her cheek against Conrad's head as his grip on her held tight.
Her body was slowly warming up from being outside. Her legs cold to the touch as his warm hand pushed itself against her thighs.
The sounds of the fire crackling echoed throughout the house. It was peaceful for them.
Conrad's hand tenderly left her thigh and migrated to Olivia's chin, his touch a gentle guidance that drew her gaze downward.
Olivia's lips, soft and supple, melded seamlessly against Conrad's
The kiss didn't break as Conrad's hands rested against her hips and she now sat straddled on top of him.
Conrad could feel the softness of Olivia's curves fitting seamlessly against his frame. His hands tightening as they snake around her waist softly grinding her into him.
His lips leave a trail of kisses down to her neck, sucking softly as he reached the part that connected to her shoulder.
A sudden noise, a gasp of pleasure, escaped Olivia's lips, prompting her to instinctively cover her mouth in surprise. Conrad, too, pulled back, their foreheads meeting in an unspoken realization of the moment's intensity.
Conrad pulled back, his forehead resting against Olivia's, "Um... we-we should probably..."
Olivia shook her head, moving her hand from her mouth and resting them back on to Conrad's shoulders.
"I want to." She muttered.
Conrad paused, looking at the red marks that trailed down from Olivia's neck and onto her shoulder.
Olivia didn't want to wait a moment longer. So she wrapped her arms around Conrad, pulling the boy back in and their lips touching once more.
She pulled him closer, feeling the firm press of his chest against her own, the thumping of his heart in perfect synchronicity with her own racing pulse.
Their kiss deepened, an exploration that knew no boundaries.
"Wait." Conrad muttered against her lips, "I hope you know I didn't bring you here just for this."
"I know that."
"We don't have to do anything if you..."
"I want to, Conrad." She muttered, "I want to be with you. Unless... you don't—"
"No, I do." He smiled, "I really do."
The two of them smiled and Conrad's fingertips traced delicate patterns along Olivia's skin.
She slipped her cold fingers underneath his shirt, him shuddering at her touch, but allowed her to lift the shirt off of his body.
He ran his thumb over her lips before placing a kiss on them. He pressed his body against her and placed his hands on her hips.
His hands moved slowly up Olivia's shirt, lifting it over her body and tossing it over to the side.
Conrad's eyes never left Olivia's, and in that gaze, she felt seen, cherished.
As Conrad's hands moved up her bare skin, Olivia's breath hitched with anticipation. His touch was gentle yet confident, and every caress sent shivers of pleasure through her body.
Conrad's hands traced a path down Olivia's back, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake.
His hand unclasped her bra and tossed it to the side like it was nothing. His hands rested on the lower part of her back as he flipped her over so he was on top.
With a tender touch, Conrad's lips found hers once again. Conrad's lips explored every contour of hers, and with each caress, Olivia felt a surge of warmth and affection envelop her.
Conrad's kisses were a symphony of sensations, each one a brushstroke of desire against Olivia's lips. His touch was both gentle and possessive, a tantalizing combination that sent shivers down her spine.
They were one.
Until they weren't.
PROM WASN'T on Olivia's bucket list, but here she was as her bare back was pressed against Conrad's and Violet and Demi stood across as Jessie took pictures with a bright smile on her face.
It was her senior year, so why not go for it for the first and last time.
"Let me see their corsages." Susannah smiled from the phone.
Demi and Violet held their wrist out with their matching corsages and Olivia held her hand over her bare wrist.
"Shit." Conrad muttered.
Olivia turned, "What's wrong?"
"I don't have your corsage." He answered, "I must've left it in my dorm fridge."
Olivia gave Conrad a soft smile, taking her hands and pressing them against his cheeks, "It's okay. I don't need some dumb corsage."
"We've got to go." Violet smiled, taking Demi's hand as the gave one final look in the mirror.
Jessie grabbed her other phone, taking to Susannah.
Leaving Olivia and Conrad alone in their own world.
Olivia stepped to the side, "You okay?" She asked.
"I'm so sorry I forgot. I should've remembered it."
"Don't worry about it, Con." She smiled reassuringly, "I don't need it. I swear. You can literally do anything else and it would make up for it."
"Whatever you want."
But he didn't smile back at the girl. He held an almost somber look as she grabbed his hand made her way towards the car.
And he didn't seem to gain any happiness once they arrived at the dance.
Demi and Violet had been slow dancing with the others.
Olivia soon stood, holding her hand out for Conrad to grab.
"Wanna dance?" She asked.
Conrad looked up at her and grabbed her hand. He didn't say much as Olivia guided him to the dance floor.
Her black dress brushed against his suit as she turned to wrap her arms around his neck as he carefully placed his hands on her waist.
But he look at her. He was somewhere else and Olivia knew that.
"Do you want to go somewhere?" He asked.
"You wanna leave?" She asked, but he didn't answer, "We-we can step out, yeah."
Conrad was quick to separate and Olivia followed him outside.
She could have imaged it raining, and yet, the only thing keep herself and Conrad dry was the small roof they stood under.
"Conrad?" Olivia called, "Please talk to me."
"I'm sorry." He apologized.
Olivia sighed, "I know that there's so much going in your life right now, but keeping that from me and keeping it inside isn't gonna help. It's only going to make things worse. I want to help. So, please don't shut me out."
"I feel like I just keep disappointing you." His voiced trembled, tears building in his eyes.
"You haven't." Olivia softly spoke, I promise you. And you will never disappoint me, Conrad."
"I have. I have." He argued, "All I've done today is disappoint you. You don't deserve that."
"And whatever you're going through, you don't have to do that alone." She replied, her own voice shaking as she spoke, "We don't have to stay here. We can go home."
"I can't."
"You can't what?"
She was already thinking the worst. Whether he meant it or not, she was already thinking the worst.
"I just can't."
He left, making his way to his car, walking in the rain as poured harder and harder.
She turned, following behind him, "Is that it? It's over? We're over?" She asked.
"Liv..."
"What?" She cried "That's not answer... it's not the answer I want to hear."
She turned, brushing her fingers through her now wet hair.
"Liv, don't leave it like this."
"You... you are the only one leaving it this way." She cried. She took her shaky hands to take the necklace he'd given her off.
"No. No."
She finally took it off and placed it in his hands.
She finally looked up at him, taking the back of her hand to push her glasses up and to wipe away her fallen tears.
She rolled her eyes, "Call me if you need help. Because I will always be there, even if you don't want me."
She finally turned, leaving him in the pouring rain.
"Liv, wait!"
But she didn't turn. Olivia went to grab the door handle, but the door swung open and Violet stood on the other side.
She quickly to the girl into her arms and all Olivia did was cry. She didn't look back. She didn't bother to see Conrad leave.
That was the last time she saw and her from Conrad until he called her at the party.
What a way to end her senior prom.
