It was New Years Eve here in LA, a couple of my friends from back home were visiting the US and we decided to go down to the local bar down the street.

Aaron, Ava, Poppy and Tom were staying with me in my little apartment, we all decided that the best way to set up the sleeping situation was to get double blow up beds and put them in the livingroom, luckily they were two couple.

My room was the biggest room in the apartment and the only place I could put my Christmas Tree. I slip on my black backless dress pairing it with black heels with a pop of silver, I slip on my rings before curling my bleached blonde hair. I crouch down at the mirror taking a selfie and posting it on Instagram with the caption 'NYE 🤍'

We arrive at the bar a little after 8pm and it was super busy. My friends try to find a table as I order our drinks at the bar, someone bumps into me and I don't acknowledge the bump due to how busy the bar was.

"Sorry. Wow, your hair is amazing". I heard a voice behind, I turn around recognising the New York accent and being met with the most beautiful eyes.

"Thank you, you're hair isn't so bad either" I smile.

"Shannon!! You're still here?". Sebastian plants his hands on my waist pulling me closer. I giggle wrapping my arms around his neck hugging him tightly.

"Yeah, i'm still here. I don't have any plans of going back home yet but I think my friends are here to try and convince me to go back" I nod to my friends who have found an empty table.

Sebastian lets me go and calls his friends over introducing me to them. I ask if they want to join us for the rest of the night which they agree to.

A couple of hours had passed and the New Years Eve party was in full swing in the bar. I was feeling a little tipsy due to the amount of shots Sebastian was ordering.

I was speaking to Sebastian about his upcoming projects as the crowd begin to chant.

Sebastian wraps his arm around my waist as he chanted, I hug Sebastian as I wish him a happy new year. Pulling back he holds me close and my body pressed against his, I look up at him as our lips are inches away from each other.

"Happy New Year Shannon!" Ava shouts pulling me away from Sebastian, I look back at him and softly smile as Ava pulls me towards the bathroom.

The bright lights of the bathroom blind me as I look in the mirror topping up my lipstick. My eyes were blood shot from the alcohol and mainly because I wasn't a big drinker. I decided it was time to call it a night as we go back to our friends in the bar. Sebastian wasn't there and I assumed be had already left, I said goodbye to my friends as I step outside and order an Uber. I track the Uber on my phone as it stops on the road just feet away.

Just as i'm about to get in I hear Sebastian calling my name, I stop as he gets to me.

"Hey, leaving so soon?" He asks.

"Yeah i'm not a big drinker and i'm feeling it now" I shrug.

"Can I at least take your phone number? Maybe take you for breakfast tomorrow?"

"Yeah, breakfast would be good" I reply as I punch my phone number into his phone.

"Goodnight Sebastian..."

"Goodnight Shannon" he kisses my cheek before I get into the cab and drive away.

I could of walked home but being intoxicated and walking the LA streets at night wasn't a good idea. After five minutes in the Uber I was back at my apartment getting ready for bed. I sit on the bed in a baggy tshirt taking off my make up with a wipe as I hear my phone chiming in my bag, I grab my bag looking at the unknown number who left me a message.

"Hey, it's Seb. I just wanted to make sure you got home ok?"

I smile before confirming I made it home safely.
