They see you cry/you see them cry Part 2
// I'm back with part 2 of this! As I mentioned in part 1, Finn's death is mentioned in here somewhere, and also some sensitive triggering subjects will be talked about so please don't read if you think you are easily triggered.
Arthur 'Artie' Abrams (Mash Off)
You couldn't believe it. The New Directions were now two different glee clubs! The New Directions and the Trouble Tones. It hurt your heart, because you felt so conflicted. On one hand, most of your girl friends were in the Trouble Tones (Santana, Brittany, Mercedes) and your boyfriend was part of the New Directions. "Y/N...you wanna come join us where you'll get a solo, or do you wanna continue to stay in Rachel's shadow?" Santana asked when she stopped at your locker. You froze in fear. What do you say? "I'll give you some time to think about it." She said before walking away. The hallway was empty...for the most part. You just slid down the lockers and cried into your lap. How could she make you choose? You didn't want to choose! You felt a tender hand on your back and looked up to see the concerned face of your boyfriend Artie. "Hey. What's wrong? You shouldn't be crying, pretty girl." He said softly. "Santana's making me choose between the Trouble Tones and the New Directions. Artie I don't wanna choose! I just want all our friends in one glee club again," you sobbed. He just rubbed your back and stroked your hair comfortingly. "I know baby. I know you do. Don't cry. Y/N, I hate seeing you cry." He mumbled. You looked up through your teary eyes, smiling gently as his lips kissed your sweet face. "I love you so much Artie." You said. "I love you too, Y/N," he said back, letting you sit on his lap as you two wheeled off to glee rehearsal.
Noah 'Puck' Puckerman (100)
You couldn't believe it. Glee club was coming to a close. But then again...this year had been hell on everyone. Not just losing Sectionals, but you'd also lost Finn. You guys had lost your beloved quarterback to unknown reasons. Sue had finally won. For years, she'd been trying to bring you down, but now she'd finally come out on top. It wasn't fair. You'd made so many memories in the choir room. Now...everything was going to disappear! You hadn't noticed a hand on your shoulder until you looked up to see none other than your boyfriend, Noah Puckerman in his Air Force attire. "Puck." You said, burying your face in his shoulder. You didn't want to believe that any of this was true. "Hey babe." He greeted solemnly. Your eyes trailed to the Finn plaque plastered on the wall. Rachel had made it to honor him, and you felt the tears instantly. Puck felt your body begin to shake, and he rubbed your back. "Shhh, Y/N. It's okay." He mumbled into your hair. "No it's not. This past year...it's been hell. Especially without you here. I've missed you." You hiccuped. "I missed you too, baby. But I'm here now. So please...tell me what's making you cry," he said softly. Somehow, you got to see the soft side of Noah Puckerman. "It's just...first we lost sectionals, then Finn and Mr. Shue were at each other's throats, we lost Finn...I don't think my heart can take any more once Sue takes away the glee club for good." You sobbed. The mention of his best friend's name brought tears to Puck's eyes, but he kept them at bay. You two just sat in the empty choir room, letting you cry your frustrations out. Not many words needed to be said.
Brittany Pierce (Shooting Star)
You couldn't believe what you'd just heard. It sounded like a gunshot. Then another went off, and you couldn't think of anything except panicking. Especially when you realized Brittany was in the bathroom all by herself. Of course, knowing that there was possibly a dangerous situation outside, you knew you'd see her again. But you couldn't help the tears forming in your eyes at the situation you were currently in. The next hour was painful, texting Puck about what was going on. You sat next to Jake, holding his hand in yours. Your half brother tried to hold back his own tears, but miserably failed. You just sat there until you heard the door open and close. Where was Mr. Shue? You looked at Coach Beiste, who seemed to know your question. "He's gone to go and get Brittany." She explained in a whisper. You nodded and waited patiently, tears falling down your face. Your heart leapt out of your chest when you saw the blonde Cheerio, bringing her into your arms immediately. "I missed you." You sobbed. "I missed you too. God I'm so sorry, Y/N. I should've had my phone with me," she cried. "Brittany no. Don't apologize. You're safe. That's what matters. Thank you Mr. Shue. Thank you for bringing Brittany back." You hiccuped. The Spanish teacher pulled you both into his arms, then followed by the rest of the glee club once the all clear was given. It was over. It was finally over. Everyone was safe.
Santana Lopez (Mash Off)
"I haven't even told my parents yet!" Sobbed Santana, running out of the office. Since Finn outed her, she'd been the odd one out. Now...someone's used her sexuality to go against Burt in Congress. You were so mad! But you were currently running down the hallway to catch up with the Cheerio. "Santana wait!" You called to your crush. She spun around and looked at you with teary eyes. "Come to make fun of me too?" She spat. "No! Santana I would never. I just wanted to come and give you a hug." You said and let the Latina fill your arms, her body shaking with every sob she let out. "I'm so sorry San. But it'll be okay. I'm going to be right by your side through everything...even though we're competing against each other. You're still my best friend, Santana Lopez." You said, listening as her crying subsided. "What did I ever do to deserve you as a best friend? Especially when I made a few scenes in glee club," she said laughing at her own self. You giggled. "I'm just the kind of person that sticks with friends when they're in a tight corner. I've got your back. Now...you wanna go to glee practice?" You asked. She smiled. "I would love to," she said smiling as you two walked to the auditorium with arms linked. As long as Santana had you by her side, she could make it through anything.
Mercedes Jones (New Directions)
Everything was happening so fast. First, Blaine and Kurt broke up, Mr. Shue and Ms. Pillsbury didn't get married, you guys lost at sectionals, you'd lost Finn...and now the glee club was coming to an end. At first you were angry. Why couldn't you all catch a break this year? Then you remembered Sue was principal, and she was finally winning. When you saw Mercedes walk through the door to the choir room, you immediately ran to her to give her a hug. "I missed you too, Y/N." She said, hugging you back happily. You'd missed your girlfriend a lot, but you'd made your long distance relationship work. You just couldn't help but feel all the anger and sadness from the past year continue to build up. Yes, Mr. Shue and Ms. Pillsbury got married right after regionals, and Kurt and Blaine got engaged but you still had your mind on losing the glee club, losing to Sue Sylvester, losing Finn...even looking at his plaque made you tear up. You hadn't said anything back to the diva, which made her look at you in concern. "Y/N...do you need to go outside?" She asked softly. You nodded as the two of you passed Mr. Shue walking into the choir room. You two sat down at the lockers, her arm around your shoulders. "Do you wanna talk about it?" She asked. "We've just lost so much this year. I'm happy for Mr. Shue and Ms. Pillsbury, as well as Blaine and Kurt, but we've just lost too much this year, Cedes. Sectionals, Sue as principal, Finn...I just can't take anymore loss," you hiccuped through your tears. Mercedes just held you close to her. "I know how hard the losses have been on everyone, especially you. But the losses make you a stronger person. And I will always be here for you if you need to talk. Just please never bottle anything up, Y/N. It won't do you any good." She advised. You nodded, and looked down at your lap, just needing her comforting hold right now. "I'm glad you're home." You said softly. Mercedes smiled and kissed your head. "I'm glad I'm home too." She said as she helped you up. Everything would be okay.
Tina Cohen-Chang (Tina in the Sky with Diamonds)
"And now your prom king and queen are...this can't be right. Oh what the hell do I care? Stoner Brett and Tina Cohen-Chang!" Sue announced. Your smile got so wide and so big for Tina. She'd won prom queen! You smiled at Blaine and Sam, knowing that she'd wanted this badly. You cheered the loudest as she was coronated. But then things took a turn for the worst. One of the Cheerios—Bree—had convinced one of Tina's supporters to dump a bucket full of red slushee on her (Carrie much?). You just stood there in horrific shock. Poor Tina. As soon as she walked offstage, you and the rest of the New Directions left to help her. "We need to get you out of those wet clothes and into something dry," Marley said to a sobbing Tina. "Just leave me like this!" Tina growled. "I just thought, for one lousy night of my life, that I could be that girl. But who am I kidding? I'm not that girl, and I will never be that girl," she cried as she began walking away. "Where are you going?" Sam asked. "I'm going home, Sam!" Hiccuped Tina. "Tina stop! You have two choices, and whichever one you choose, we will support you," Blaine started. "We can either drive you home or you can go back out there and own that prom. This is your prom, Queen T." You finished. "Y/N, I can't go back out there. I don't even have a dress to wear." She said. "You can have mine," you offered. Kitty, Marley, and Unique also offered their dresses for Tina to wear. "Tina, this is your moment. You're going to go out there and be that girl. This is your night." You said as Blaine walked over to the piano, playing Hey Jude. You smiled softly as you helped dry Tina off, offering to fix her makeup. You smiled and kissed her cheek gently, receiving a smile in return. "Pretty as a queen. My queen," you mumbled. Tina smiled with a hint of pink on her face to compliment Kitty's dress. You all reentered the gym, watching as Tina accepted her crown happily. You were so happy. This was the best night of your lives.
Sam Evans (City of Angels)
Everything felt so surreal. Your third trip to Nationals in a row. Your smile then fell so suddenly, grabbing the attention of your boyfriend, Sam. "Babe? You okay?" He asked softly on the bus. You sighed and ran a hand through your hair. "I'm excited to be going to Nationals...I just really wish Finn were here with us. It's our first Nationals without him, Sam. It doesn't feel quite the same." You said solemnly, feeling a tear fall down your cheek. Sam pulled you into his arms, rubbing your back softly. "I know, Y/N. We all miss him, and we want him here with us. But he will always be here with us. When we sing, we'll sing for him. Just for him. Not for ourselves, but for Finn," he said softly. You nodded and let out silent cries into his shoulder. Sam just held you close, kissing your head and rubbing your back. He knew that you were close with Finn, and he wasn't gonna lie...it'd been a tough couple of months since his death. But Sam was always there for you, no matter what. And that's what made him the best boyfriend ever. You couldn't help but love Sam and his big heart. With a better mindset, you were excited for Nationals. Because now you had someone to sing for. Not just Mr. Shue. Finn Christopher Hudson.
Mike Chang Jr. (A Wedding)
It was unbelievable. Brittany and Santana were finally getting married. You and Mike were just happy to be at the wedding, supporting your two friends. You had this glow about you, and Mr. Shue, Carole and Burt could obviously tell what made you glow. You were pregnant. Of course, you wouldn't tell anyone except Mike, because he is the father of the baby, and you didn't want to upstage Brittany and Santana's big day. You overheard Mike talking to Sam, which made your smile fall. "Yeah, Y/N and I wanna start a family, but maybe in the future. We're both still pretty young, and I don't think it's the right time," Mike said. You couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with tears. What if Mike didn't want you anymore? What if he didn't want the baby? You made your way to a room, just crying for a minute or so. "Y/N?" Came Santana's voice. You jumped. "S-Santana. I uh...sorry," you said, going to fix your makeup. "Hey. What's wrong? Something's bothering you," she said. You didn't wanna tell her, but she was offering to talk. Unbeknownst to you, Mike was eavesdropping. "Uh...Santana, I-I'm pregnant. The baby's Mike's, and I didn't wanna tell people until a little while after the wedding. But I just heard Mike talking to Sam, saying how we're both still a little young to settle down. I'm scared he's going to break up with me when he finds out, and I'm sorry I just ruined everything," you sobbed. "Y/N...you didn't ruin anything. Okay? First, congratulations. Second, no matter what happens, I'll always have your back." She said. You nodded, and jumped when you heard the door open. "Y/N?" Mike asked. "I'll give you two some privacy," said one of the brides. You looked down, unable to look at Mike. "Baby...why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?" He asked. You bit down on your lip. "I was gonna tell you tonight after we left. But then I overheard your conversation with Sam, and I just felt so bad. I ruined your life, Mike. I'm sorry." You said crying into your hands. Mike pressed a kiss to your forehead. "Y/N...you didn't ruin anything. I'm sorry about what I said. And I love you so much. You and our baby." He said pressing a hand on your flat stomach. You smiled up at him, allowing his lips to catch yours in a kiss. "I love you." You said happily. "I love you too. And I love you little baby." He said happily to your midsection. You giggled as he held you close. Mike was grinning like an idiot. He was gonna be a father. Best. News. Ever.
Will Schuester (The Quarterback)
Numb. That's what you felt. Nothing but numbness. You couldn't believe it. Finn was gone. Just...gone. He was only 19 years old. Your baby brother was dead. Ever since you got the call, you've just been shut down. Will was doing everything he could for you, and you knew he hadn't gotten a chance to mourn Finn himself. After about a month of moping around, you knew it was time to stop mourning and start celebrating Finn's life. It's what he'd want. "Will?" You called your husband, who was in the bathroom. "Yes baby?" He called back. "I...I'm coming back to work today." You said. Will pokes his head out. "Honey, you don't have to—" "I want to, Will. I spent a month wallowing in my own self-pity. Finn wouldn't want me to do that. He'd want me to celebrate his life. And I wanna see the kids; it'd be nice to see them," you said softly. Will nodded and kissed your head. "Okay. I'm proud of you, Y/N. I love you." He said. "I love you too, Will." You said. The minute you stepped foot in McKinley High, everyone kinda got quiet. Students and faculty alike. You were suddenly whisked to the staff break room, and sat down with Shannon and Emma. "Y/N...you're here." Emma said carefully. You smiled slightly. "I got tired of being pitied for a month. And I'm okay with talking about Finn. So please don't treat me like I'm fragile," you begged your coworkers. "Of course Y/N. We wouldn't do that," Beiste said, earning a smile from you. "Thanks Shannon. Um, where's Will?" You asked. You didn't see your husband anywhere. "He's setting up for glee club today. This week is Finn's memorial week. And I think he wants the kids to get prepared seeing you." Sue said suddenly. You nodded. "Y/N...we will take care of you and your family. It's what Finn would've wanted. And there is a tree erected in Finn's honor, as well as his locker being a memorial." She said. "Thank you, Sue." You said and then walked off to the choir room. The minute you walked in, all eyes were on you. Will gave you a supporting nod, and you nodded back. "I just want you guys to know that it was my choice to come back to work. I kept thinking to myself that Finn would've yelled at me for not celebrating his life. And don't treat me like I'm a porcelain doll, please. I'm okay with talking about Finn." You explained. Kurt was the first to hug you, followed by Blaine and then the rest of the glee kids.
-skip-
Santana was pissed off. Someone had taken Finn's letterman jacket that Kurt graciously gave to her. You'd gotten home late after spending some time with your mother, Carole. It was hard for you both. You'd lost your dad when you were a kid, and now you'd lost Finn, too. You walked into the apartment, hearing sobs coming from the main room. You quickly walked in to see Will holding the letterman jacket, sobbing heartbrokenly. You just sat down next to him on the couch, letting him cry in your arms. As you held him, you couldn't help but cry as well. Yes, you'd mourned, but Will hadn't, and you hated seeing Will cry. You just held him as you cried alongside your husband. "He was our quarterback," Will hiccuped. "I know. I know honey. And before Burt, you were like a father to him. God he loved you so much, Will. Finn never hated you. You know that right?" You asked through your own tears. Will just nodded and clung to you. "He's j-just gone!" He bawled. You couldn't help but sob harder. Finn was gone. He was never coming back. Nothing would be the same anymore.
// I'm so sorry for taking so long on Part 2, and Will's made me wanna cry so badly (RIP Cory Monteith). Let me know how you guys liked it. I love feedback!
